"Use VS Code for you next dev project"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Modular architecture. just install what you use, Available for all the major current OS's today. It supports all of the current popular languages. Doesnt have a large footprint. Probably the best free IDE available. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Debugger... I spend most of my time in its big brother Visual Studio so I am spoiled with its debugger. It did take me a little bit to adapt to how it handles projects but no deal breakers Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Review of Visual Studio Code after using it for 6 months"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The best thing I like about Visual Studio Code is its auto-save function. It has a very clean and easy-to-use User Interface. It has awesome integration with Git. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It has high ram consumption at times. It takes a long time to boot the software, which feels frustrating at times. It does not support development for Mac/IOS. Its default shortcut keys are not too good.

Due to these reasons, I discontinued the use of Visual Studio Code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My Days with VS code and How its the best"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio code gives a new user a minimal look and starts, which is very good and clean. The pure nature helps to attract tidy users and makes working with the IDE a lot more enjoyable. The IDE provides extensions by which the whole IDE is customizable. Hence, the sky is the limit for the customization, which is excellent as most IDE's don't even look for those types of customer satisfaction. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It doesn't set you up to code in your desired language. You still have to deal with that frustration. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"VSCode Still Dominates"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VSCode has proven to be very customizable and once you have the system set up to your preferences it turns to be very easy to use. In addition to this opening up, multiple tabs for your coding preferences helps keep everything tidy and visible at all time thanks to their split-window ability in multiple formats. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

When you first begin using VSCode, coming from anything simpler, there is a steep learning curve that can be daunting. The sheer amount of options and settings to customize can lead to some confusion for newer users. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best editor mostly for frontend"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I mostly use its search feature that enables us to search a word in the entire project. The search is really good. And the default color scheme is also very nice. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Even if I install the php plugin in visual studio code, I cannot go to the function definition by ctrl+click on the function call. That should be present in VS Code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
