**What do you like best about Ultatel?**

Ultatel offers a well-rounded VoIP solution that is easy to deploy, straightforward to manage, and flexible enough to support businesses of different sizes. The administrative portal is intuitive, which makes provisioning users, managing call flows, and adjusting features simple without needing constant support intervention.

From a partner perspective, their onboarding and support teams are responsive and knowledgeable. When we do need assistance, tickets are handled promptly and professionally. Their support staff communicates clearly and works toward resolution rather than passing issues around.

Our clients especially appreciate the reliability, call quality, mobile app functionality, and ease of use. Features like auto attendants, ring groups, call routing, voicemail-to-email, and softphone capabilities are consistently stable and easy for end users to adopt.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

Like any platform, there is a learning curve during initial setup, especially when configuring more advanced call flows or porting numbers. Some custom routing scenarios require careful planning to ensure everything is configured correctly.

Additionally, while the system is robust, we would always welcome continued enhancements to reporting and analytics tools for more granular insights into call data.

**What problems is Ultatel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ultatel allows us to provide a modern, cloud-based phone solution to clients who want flexibility, mobility, and reliability without managing on-premise PBX hardware. It simplifies remote work, improves call management, and reduces telecom complexity for our customers.

**What do you like best about Ultatel?**

I love Ultatel for its ease of using the phone system, making inter-office communication and speaking to customers smooth. It's great that I have voicemail available and can easily make changes online. Getting emails when there's a voicemail is really handy. I also appreciate the online fax feature, receiving faxes electronically saves a lot of time that was previously spent scanning. Switching from a landline with Frontier to Ultatel saved the company a lot of money and brought a lot of perks. Our phone system was old and outdated, but now it feels like we're progressing and becoming more efficient. The setup was super easy, thanks to the excellent customer service at Ultatel.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

It would be more effective if we could put calls on hold and any phone in the factory can pick up the call. 'Park' only works on the phones that have a dedicated phone number. 'Park' also limits the number of folks listed for the speed dial.

**What problems is Ultatel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Ultatel for easier inter-office communication and customer calls. It simplifies our phone system, offers great voicemail integration, online faxing, and email notifications, saving us from scanning. Switching from landlines saved us money and improved our efficiency.

**What do you like best about Ultatel?**

In terms of competitive pricing, they were as good as anyone that I researched.  More importantly, when I submit a question or a support request via email, I get a response immediately that a service ticket has been created.  95% of our questions or requests get solved within 30 minutes to an hour max.  Also, we haven't had any technical issues with Ultatel.  Service has been up and running continuously in the almost 2 years that we've been a customer.  Finally, initially setting up the service was a breeze.  I sent them a couple of spreadsheets with data from our last phone supplier, and they took care of the rest.  The last phone provider that we had put all of that effort on me, and quite honestly, I didn't have the time to deal with it.  All I wanted was a perfectly working phone system with limited integration effort on our side, and that's what we got.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

We haven't had any issues with them in the close to 2 years since they have been our provider.

**What problems is Ultatel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Customer communication.  Our phone system isn't anything we worry about because it has always been working fine.

Simplicity! They make everything feel easy and straightforward. There are no boring meetings or drawn-out onboarding, the fees are fair, and the customer support is awesome—explained in plain English. Easy implementation from previous provider desktop devices.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

They don't have an aggressive marketing... I spent a lot of money with other providers, charging much more and delivering mush less.

**What problems is Ultatel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They integrated our phone system with our fax. We were using two different providers. Also, they solved a SMS problem with a previous provider. We were unable to send text messages due the fact that the previous provider assigned an unknown number to SEND messages, different from the one RECEIVING.

**What do you like best about Ultatel?**

Honestly what is there not to like? The support is phenomenal, the service has been very reliable, and all the functions you would expect and then some are included. Setup is a breeze as they handle most of the work for you!

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

I am going on three months of service now and I honestly do not have anything I dislike. I was skeptical at first but that has all gone out the window and would recommend to anyone and feel 100% percent confident in that recommendation!

**What problems is Ultatel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Switching from a PBX Avaya phone system to this new Ultatel VOIP system has solved a lot of problems for us. IPO modules and expert support on our old Avaya PBX phone system is hard to come by. Learning this phone system versus our old PBX system is a night and day difference. No more physical lines to install and troubleshoot. No more support contracts or pre paying ahead of time for "hours" to use when you need assistance and it is actually cheaper than our current phone bill. So cheaper, more functionality, and easy to use, sign me up oh wait I already did!

**What do you like best about Ultatel?**

Hands down without question the support.  Everytime I call for support or just with questions I get someone immediatly (no long automated robots) and they are always helpful.  During the onboarding process you have a dedicated account manager you can call or email directly.  I remember being told that after 30days we would transition to just the regular support, so I expected some kind of decrease in support effectiveness.  While you do speak to someone different everytime, there has been zero drop in the level of care and support.  Call quality is excellent, super easy to use, great set of features, really probably the smoothest VOIP service setup I've been a part of.
I've already recommended Ultatel to another client and we've started the onboard process there.  I will continue to recommend Ultatel to others.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

The only thing I'd possibly complain about is there are some things on the portal that I wish I could do myself but you do have to call about to have them do.  I understand why though and the support is so good that the call is a quick one, but sometimes I do still wish I could do it myself.

**What problems is Ultatel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are getting calls that come in, go to where their supposed to go and can be answered.  Our last provider *cough* Comcast *cough* we kept running into issues with calls coming in and constant "It's not us it's you" answers so Ultatel is solving this by just providing the service they advertise at a price that's digestible  unlike our previous VOIP provider *cough* Comcast *cough*.

**What do you like best about Ultatel?**

The incredible personalities and helpful nature of the team members I've dealt with from the beginning. From Alex, the Account Manager, to the onboarding team with Peter and from the start the process has been easy. There were some minor hurdles along the way but the team made me feel 100% that they were in control and had this. 

The pricing is much better than we were paying. 

Their dedicated non-profit structure is to be commended. 

The app is awesome.

24/7 Customer Support line is a game changer!

There are a number of features we haven't signed up for, but we can already see ourselves integrating down the road.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

I have not found anything that I dislike yet.

**What problems is Ultatel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As our organization has grown we were looking for a phone system that could service us with up to 7 of our locations being in different areas. UltaTel's service allows us to reach our outlying drop ins and connect with the staff there easily, while also connecting donors that call the admin office and don't know the phone number of the locations in other towns, we can now just transfer them directly to the locaiton of their choice. It's made our world smaller.

Have to keep a large app open to actually use the phone system, which covers up important docs or information from other systems I use simultaneously. Constantly having connectivity issues, they tried to bully our IT team into allowing them access to proprietary information to make their jobs easier. They were not ready for such a large scale company to use them and made false promises. Integration was a nightmare.

The Ultatel app didn't work well with Teams at first, but Ultatel worked with our MSP guys and figured out the problem and now everything works great.There isn't anything I dislike.

The app is horrible never works, although they are always there to help sometimes there are major mistakes that require me to undo. As well as sometimes it takes forever to get simple tickets done.

What I like most about UltaTel is their excellent customer service and their desire to support the needs and resolution for the customer.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

There is nothing I dislike about UltaTel.  Very happy with the phone system.

**What problems is Ultatel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We previously  had a voip phone service that did not meet our expectations.  We had extreme issues with dropped calls, static and volume.  Since our primary business is at least a 75% call center environment, it is essential that our phone system is up and running at all times.  Ultatel had the best solution for us.  Especially since they offered the integration with Microsoft Team and the ability to use soft phones.  This  allowed our staff to have connection with our clients even when working remotely.

**What do you like best about Ultatel?**

I appreciate Ultatel's seamless onboarding process. Making the transition to their service was a breeze, thanks to their user-friendly system. It's always a plus when things just work smoothly from the start.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

There are a couple of aspects that could use improvement. The process of resolving support tickets through email proved to be inconvenient, especially during the two instances when our phone system went down. Having the ability to call for immediate assistance during such times would have been invaluable.

Additionally, the promise of complete autonomy in managing our user list and making changes was not entirely fulfilled. While we were told we could handle these changes, it turns out they require Ultatel's intervention on the back end. This dependency on their end somewhat contradicts the initial understanding of autonomy.

**What problems is Ultatel solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Prior to Ultatel, we were in dire need of a phone system that could cater to our quality assurance needs, specifically in terms of call recording and analytics. Ultatel stepped in as the solution to this problem. Their phone system not only addressed our communication needs but also provided robust features for quality assurance.

**What do you like best about Ultatel?**

So far the performace has been better than expected really.  I had concerns with this due to not hearing much about the platform before researching.  I was looking for seamless O365 integration with Teams and this does the trick perfectly.  Great price point as compared to other options.  Customer support is very quick to respond.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

I would say onboarding could have been a little better but probably similar to others.  This was my first time converting from on prem to cloud so it is hard to compare.

Needed  a new PBX solution and migrated from on prem "FreePBX" to Ultatel.  Wanted complete integration with Microsoft Teams.

ULTATEL has solved many issues with the phone system, and made it easier for communication of getting a hold of employees during their business hours when needed. They have solved the #1 purpose of phone systems with communication. Everything else is great.

I love how easy it was to set up and use! The features are highly user-friendly; we have text, fax, voicemail, phone system etc!!  The customer service team is incredible; anytime we have an issue, they get back to us immediately!

Ultatel makes transferring calls, recording calls and taking calls a breeze! I wish it were easier to switch from phone calls to team calls to share screens with clients. Right now, the only way we know how to switch is to send an invite manually.

Flexibility. You can add and remove users and phone numbers as needed, on-the-go. This makes working with them a breeze for small business like mine.

ULTATEL's flexibility and scalability also makes it extremely cost-effective.

It's advanced features are also great, like voicemail-to-email transcriptions, call recording, etc.

And, it's extremely easy to use.

Reliance on internet connection. Even though it's not something about ULTATEL itself (any VoIP provider will suffer from this), it's something that bothers me from time to time.

ULTATEL greatly reduced a very high phone bill I was paying. ULTATEL is also helping me and my team stay on top of client calls and requests with their great voicemail-to-email feature.

Integrations with several features and software like Microsoft teams, CRMs, etc. It makes much easier to sift through hundreds of sales emails and make calls straight from our CRM system.

Could it be free? Just kidding. They pack a ton of value for what they charge, and it's in fact one of the best prices available.

The only thing I don't like much is the design of their admin dashboard. It feels a bit dated.

Our sales team kept complaining about lack of integration between our CRM and phone system. This is now 100% solved. 
We also use Microsoft Teams for internal comns and with ULTATEL we never need to leave it. Everything is in there.

We enjoyed a lot how easy it was to get set and start using. But what really blew our minds was the speed and reliability of their mobile app.

We used Nextiva before and issues happened very frequently. From the app crashing to SMSs and call records that just vanished.

We feel we can trust our phone provider now.

I'd like a more modern design in the backend where we manage our accounts.

Our previous phone system provider lacked reliability. We were always concerned that we might be losing clients calls and texts. Their app also frequently crashed. 

So ULTATEL came to fix and those problems and it aced in this proceess.

ULTATEL's mobile app is excellent. Notifications are fast and reliable, and you really never miss a client. We are a distributed team working from several locations, so for us it was really important to make sure all team members receive the phone notifications.

So far, I can't think of any downsides. If I have to complain about something, it would be my mobile connection, but this has nothing to do with ULTATEL.

We are a new self-funded start-up. When we started looking into unified communication solutions, everything was really pricey and with a high requirement in terms of user seats. With ULTATEL, we're getting the same enterprise-level service, but only for the users we actually need.

Easy of use. We have a team of shoppers and delivery persons in the ground, and it was a hassle to communicate and coordinate with them effectively. ULTATEL changed that, and now everything is a breeze. We can have group chats, interact with costumers, etc, and everything from the same platform.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

In order to effectively use it on mobile devices, you need to have an internet connection. If shopper are inside malls, they sometimes have hard time getting a decent connection. We have instructed them to always connect to wifi to avoid this type of issue, and this seems to have solved the problem.

ULTATEL helped us solve the communication with our shoppers and delivery team. Before ULTATEL we tried WhatsApp and other platforms, and while they work well, they also lack user control and other admin features.

The integrations ULTATEL provides between several different services and tools is perfect. You can connect ULTATEL to MS Teams, Pipedrive, and several other tools. 

The digital world isn't compartmentalized like other services would like you to think. ULTATEL understood that and created the best software integrations I have ever saw.

**What do you dislike about Ultatel?**

Their admin backend looks old, but I believe they are working on their design and brand and this should be in their pipeline.

However, it's still functional and extremely fast. Much faster than competitors btw.

Integration between phone, comm's platform and software we use every day. Also, their integration with CRMs like Pipedrive is PRICELESS.

On top of that, we never had reliability issues again after migrating to ULTATEL

The most helpful and biggest upside of using ULTATEL is the reliability of their customer support. I tried other VoIP services before, and their customer support is usually a nightmare. On top of that, all ULTATEL features and UI are really simple and straightforward to use.

Remember when phones were old and boring and made only calls? ULTATEL changed that. Now you can connect your phone with every single business analytics tool you use on your business.

You can't make or receive calls without internet. But that's not an ULTATEL drawback, that's how VoIP works.
