**What do you like best about Summize?**

Summize is super easy to use even for a technophobe like me! It's made finding contracts and pulling key terms out very easy. Summize is more than a contract repository and is constantly being reviewed and enhanced. AI is amazing and saves so much time!

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

No downsides I just need to dedicate more time to learning all the excellent functions of it so it is fully utilised.

- A list of contracts can easily be created with custo fields
- We can quickly see when contracts end or renew
- We can assign contract owners and whether the contract is a material supplier or outsource provider which aids us in complying with our regulatory obligations

**What do you like best about Summize?**

One of my missions for 2024 was to search for ways to automate internal processes and to make our team member's day to day workflow more efficient. We have found one of those solutions with Summize, and I'm extremely satisfied with the promise it shows now, and while I haven't explored all of it's menu's and functionality to date, I'm excited for what it can do for us in the future! Their customer support team has been amazing, and extremely helpful managing our specific needs/concerns.

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

Every product that uses AI has limitations based on the generative learning ability of the specific AI platform being leveraged. Summize is no different in that aspect. I assume the ability to handle more complex AI prompts will grow as the Platform does as well. However, at this time, my own personal 'dislike' if I can call it that, would be the fact that I can't have more customization in terms of being able to rename certain menu choices to make them more relavent or use terminology more commonly used in our own company. That seems more of a 'personal preference' issue over pure functionality, but that is the primary pain point for me at this time.

**What problems is Summize solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Abstracting a commercial lease is an extremely time-consuming task, and can be filled with human error and inconsistencies in the quality of the abstract. Summize will allow us to automate this process, increase the quality of our abstract output, and eliminate the human error/experience gap inherent with that process.

Summize is easy-to-use and makes the implementation process painless and efficient. Our implementation manager, Mariana, was instrumental in getting us up to speed on the system and charting our course for success. We're excited to use this tool to really streamline our overall contracting process.

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

I don't think there's anything not to like about Summize.

**What problems is Summize solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Summize is helping us solve for clunky contract management and many back-and-forths living in email inboxes. Hosting all conversations and contracts in Summize will allow us to have one source of truth for ANY contracts across the organization. Summize also allows users across the organization to use pre-approved templates and clauses, making contract generation more efficient.

Document generation and the control it gives is when sales people want to generate a document. Document management through negotiation and analysis of clauses quickly. Central storage for documents.

The simplicity with great use of AI. Easy to setup. Working with the summize team has been awesome. Love the integration with DocuSign.

**What do you like best about Summize?**

I like that we have a designated team to assist in our implementation and use of the platform. Every question is always thoroughly answered and the platform is tailored to our specific contract review needs. One of our favorite parts so far has been Mariana :) Her patience, kindness, knowledge of both back-end technology and your platform are unmatched!

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

The only downside would be that an entire paragraph has to be struck and reinserted in redline, as opposed to simple word changes. I do recognize this is a near-impossible task to accomplish. (Example would be, when making a clause mutual, simply deleting the party's name and adding "each party", like a find-replace tool would.)

**What problems is Summize solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have an incredible influx of new MSAs coming in daily. With Summize integrating our unique playbook, we are able to click through and easily insert common edits which makes review much faster. In addition to this main point, the clause bank and search of repository contracts will save us so much time when we are tasked by leadership to search through specific contracts.

W have adopted Summize recently and the happy with the integration which does offer customised fit for your specific requirements. At Goodnotes, we are able to tailor our requirements to meet our business needs. The Summize customer support and onboarding team did provide to us great support throughout the integration process and the team were able to understanding of the needs of our in-house legal department.

There is nothing negative to say about our experience; it has been a positive experience.

We decided to go with Summize because it provided the necessary contract management tools so we could transform our legal request process at Goodnotes. So far Summize helped us creat a seamless flow that allows our business stakeholders to independently access and utilise contracts without waiting for legal review and drafting. This has empowered our team to be more agile and responsive to business needs.

**What do you like best about Summize?**

Summize makes it easy to effectively handle end-to-end contract management from the point of issuing a contract request to performing collaborative internal review/edit as well as tracking versions of a contract as it moves through the process to execution. The implementation and customer success teams have also been quite supportive each step of the way during implementation and onboarding. Plus, I love the new Outlook integration which makes contract requests and storage very convenient.

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

No real down sides! If anything, the contract summary function can become stronger over time leveraging AI.

**What problems is Summize solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’ve always found that contract storage and retrieval across a globally-dispersed organization can be complex and frustrating. Summize makes it simple and convenient by providing comfortable folder-based storage and targeted search features. Additionally, by providing an API tie-in with Slack for generating contract requests from the business, Summize provides a consistent channel and predictable process for the Legal team to receive and address contract requests, which often allows suitable auto-filled templates to be provided through the CLM without direct Legal team intervention… a true time saver on repetitive legal services!

The AI tool to match clauses with my ideal language. It is nice to have that side-by-side view.

Learning the platform as there are a lot of functions and it can get overwhelming.

It is making it significantly more efficient to review/redline contracts which saves a lot of time. It also has a new application of identifying when the termination date is and when notice needs to be sent out regarding termination. This will ensure we don't miss any key dates.

We are still ongoing implementation of the tool. What I like best is how seamless implementation process has been. The team has been incredibly flexible and has consistently delivered on their promises. We're excited to see the tool in full action soon!

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

We could have benefitted from some additional features supporting implementation still, such as auto-naming of file names. Obviously no tool can be perfectly tailored to the needs of a specific company, and we knew this functionality did not exist. This said, Summize seems to be always open to feedback and eager to improve - exciting new functionalities are already in the pipeline.

**What problems is Summize solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Summize helps us centralize our contracting lifecycle in one tool - from drafting to repository. That makes it easier for us to keep track of where we are with our hundreds of different stakeholders, and identify any possible issues we might encounter. It also makes the process a whole lot more efficient.

**What do you like best about Summize?**

I’ve been using Summize for well over a year now, and it has transformed the way we handle contracts in our organisation. It is intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for even the most non-tech savvy among us to navigate and use effectively. 

In particular, the word-add in is a standout feature that has saved me countless hours by streamlining the contract drafting process by having all of our standard clauses in one place that can be easily inserted into word docs. The centralised contact repository has organised all of our contracts (although an extra layer of folders would be very helpful for us!)

The customer support has been excellent - responsive, knowledgeable, and genuinely interested in helping us get the most out of Summize. The regular updates, like the 'Custom Fields'  feature which allows the addion of manual data points and AI tool, have been really useful and show that the company is committed to continuous improvement.

Overall, Summize has been a game-changer for us. It’s made our contract processes more efficient, secure, and compliant. I highly recommend it to any organisation looking to improve their contract management processes.

The customer service behind the product is superb. Really helpful and it is good to see regular updates to the product which are provided as part of being in the Summize community, rather than simply as a way of driving up fees.

The time taken to build Playbooks is a drawback. Having templated playbooks with input from specialist lawyers would be amazing.

I'm really fond of the Summize integrations, specifically the outlook and teams add-ins.  They make creating, updating and sending requests easy for my team.

For the outlook calendary sync, it would be beneficial to be able to reference what the calendar invite is specifically for on the subject, rather than having to open the description.

**What do you like best about Summize?**

Having the ability to work in one piece of software for all of our agreement and contractual needs, from templates and creation to signatures and repository.
We no longer have to create in Word, upload as PDF and send our contracts out for signature using another third party platform but can now do it all from one place.
The introduction of AI is a real plus, with phrasing suggestions and clause checking and saves lots of time too!

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

Its sometimes frustrating when using the repository and uploading documents which may have already been uploaded by another colleague, it would be great to see a notification that the doc already exists within Summize and allow us to make a decision on updating/over writing or to keep both.

**What problems is Summize solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Full end to end process for documant creation and E Signature.
Another thrid party platform is not required now for capturing E Signatures.

The functionality from request to contract review is what I like best about Summize. It is most helpful to keep track of my assignments, while also keeping the requester up to date on status of the review.

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

The dashboard piece overlaps with list of users/groups. The teams request feature what appealed most but from an admin standpoint, the requesters have experienced tech issues with same.

Summize provides an end to end resolution to contract lifecycle management. It provides a "one stop shop" for all things contract review and creation.

**What do you like best about Summize?**

The Customer Support from Summize has been fantastic, in particular from Mariana Cimpureanu. Mariana has been so helpful and quick to respond to any problems, and has really made the implementation phase easy. I like that Summize are happy to address any requests we have and add them to their feature request list. I also like that Summize has various integrations- I think the Teams and Outlook integrations will be particularly helpful.

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

There are a few features which aren't quite right for my company's purposes, however I understand the tool is constantly being improved. For example, it would be good if we could have multiple layers of subfolders in the repository, rather than just two. I have found that the AI often struggles to pick out the right dates from contracts and add them to the calendar. I know that this is quite important to my company for managing contract renewals, so it would be good if this could be resolved.

Keeping all legal requests in one location with a full audit trail of their progress.

Once you realise how the product works it can very powerful and save a lot of time. The set up was very straight forward  and there were lots of instructions on how to implement the various integrations.

The onboarding didn't seem to include the best practices of using the product and advising on how to get the team set up for adoption success

We a small in-house legal team Summize a great product for the Commercial team to get contracts 90% of the way there.

It is like a playground to explore and test new features and technologies, e.g., contract redlining with LLMs.

The conversion from our previous CLM could not have gone smoother (especially compared to the problems we has when we converted to that provider).  Summize has been fantastic at helping us get up and running and making sure we understand how to use the features.  One of the most important things to us is that we have a provider that listens to our needs and considers changes to their product (if possible) to help us use it the way we use it.  Summize has absolutely shined in this regard.  Within two weeks we had a new feature that we had asked for.

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

NOTHING. I am serious about this.  At this point in the process, we have not run into one thing we do not like.

**What problems is Summize solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A LOT of problems. One is storing all of our contracts in one place.  The repository clearly does that.  Two is allowing us to put contracts in folders.  This is something important to us.  We want to be able to search for contracts either by name, terms or look in folders.  We have all three options with Summize.  Finally, the last big problem Summize is helping with is giving Legal's "customers" multiple ways to interact with Legal and to check on the status of their request.

Search functionality (and therefore it's tagging/categorisation features) is really intuitive for the broader read-only access users who want to check up on suppliers and existing contracts. It's integrations into our wider ecosystem (teams/salesforce etc) helps to streamline work too.

Not a great deal, personally I think it's UI is a little bland and dated, also a dark mode would be appreciated.

Besides having an outstanding CLM product, the people who have helped us in our CLM journey are amazing. From Olly Atkin, who introduced us to Summize, to the helpful and knowledgeable implementation and training team of Tom Pratt, Kyle Schmidt and Leanne Hayes, the people and attentiveness to their customers is what stands out for me. They truly listen to the customers' needs and respond immediately. Their weekly training has been phenomenal. The transition to Summize was flawless. The program itself is logical and user friendly.

Aside from the continuing support and contact with the customer services team Summize itself has changed how we review and manage new contracts.

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

The only slight snag we've encountered if that there's no internal way to move contacts from Requests to Repository but it doens't overally affect usability

**What problems is Summize solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our business use of Summize is slight different to that of most other users. While we do utilise the CLM function as we are generally the recipient opposed to the sender of contracts we have heavily used the Review capabilities. 

Summize has re-written our commercial contract review process as once the clauses were built out to our internal requirements (with the assitance of Summize) we are able to quickly and easily flag those which require negotiation. This alongside the playbook means we are much more efficient in our review processes and have consistancy across the team in items raised and content of negotiation emails.

I have enjoyed implementing Summize with the team, as they are super helpful, friendly and will always work alongside you, to find the best solution for your organization. Tom Pratt in particular has been a great implementation partner!

The aspects of Summize we are most impressed by so far are the integration with Teams, which allows for easy contract drafting. Also the level of customisation in Summize itself really impressed us. We use Summize across Legal, HR, Procurement, and difference Business lines as we've been able to customise Summize for each use case.

Finally, Summize is focussed on continuous development and we've seen the tool improve, every quarter!

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

So far, I haven't experienced any down-side to using Summize. Any issues I've had so far, Summize have been able to find a solution to!

**What problems is Summize solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multiple problems - first and foremost it's an easy to use contract repository that also offers insights and analytics. The OCR AI technology that Summize uses, reads clauses and pulls summaries, is also great and speeds up contract review times for us. Finally, it has made for a more efficient contracting process for people in the Business, which has also freed up time for our Legal team.

I am still in the onboarding stage and have not implemented into the business yet, so it is hard to give a proper review of the product until I can monitor its use and usefulness.  

I particularly like the fact that Surmize are constantly growing the platform and also respond to requests and issues raised by customers during onboarding.  They are definitely in a continuous improvement process.   I like how quickly I can move through review of a contract (assuming the base build has completed for that contract type) and how easy it is to change things and add wording.

**What do you dislike about Summize?**

Nothing really but to be aware that the build process for identifying clauses, contracts and playbooks etc is time consuming and difficult for just one person in a small company - which is where we are.  I would recommend you get paralegal support from Summize to help with the build.

**What problems is Summize solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Nothing much yet as still building the back-end but as above - I like how quickly I can move through review of a contract and how easy it is to change things and add wording.  I am looking forward to self service NDAs/Consultancy Agreements and SOWs - this will make my day a lot easier.

2) I enjoy the clause creator/manager and being able to custom make your own contract types.
