## Silverware Reviews
  ### 1. Silverware, very promising but also very lacking and out of control price increases

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 06, 2024

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

User friendly and somewhat intuitive....depending on your request the support can be quite decent.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

40% price increase in 2022 and now a 30% price increase in 2024, at what point is it no longer worth the cost?

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Basic POS functions

  ### 2. Great system overall

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Food & Beverages | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 27, 2024

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

I've used Silverware for the past 3 years in our hotel restaurant/bars. I found the system to be very user friendly both for the servers and on the back end (creating buttons, schedules, reporting, etc). Support was responsive and quick, but most issues I could solve myself. Implementation and training was a breeze. By the second implementation, I could basically do it all myself. I would use this system again.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Integrations can become costly and some are a little glitchy. Besides that, most other issues we've had were easily solved.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Robust reporting capabilities helped to keep everyone in the loop in our multi-outlet business.

  ### 3. Silverware for Small Business

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ned M. | President, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

Silveware is a very user friendly point of sale system that is easy to navigate. The system allows the admin a quick way to add or delete items. There are many useful features such as the time clock and recipes that we like. I have seen Silverware in several other local establishments

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Back office isn't very useful for us. We do most of our back office stuff at the main terminal.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

It is an easy system to set up and use.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Silverware solves our front of house servers needs and getting the correct orders sent to the bar and the kitchen. For validation below I took a snapshot of our bank statement showing the monthly maint fee that comes out of our bank account for Silverware. I am out of town and can not get a screen shot of being logged in.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Thank you for your review - we're glad you found Silverware very user friendly and easy to navigate!

  ### 4. Getting Much Better

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 04, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

Front end is very easy and straightforward to use.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Lack of any real actionable data or analytics.
Service/Support levels were previously lacking, but that has improved significantly in the last 12 months.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

Have a clear and concise understanding of what they have integrated to and what they can or are willing to integrate to and get it in writing.
Make certain you are not stuck paying a monthly "licensing" fee/location for every individual API, most providers include integrations at no cost as part of their systems maintenance fees, Silverware does not and instead typically charges monthly per integration.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have not used Silverware to "solve" any needs outside of basic POS requirements.
Previously trying to get any third party software integrated was a hassle almost as though it was bothersome or a burden, this has improved slightly in the last 6 to 12 months but still has a long way to go.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Thank you for your review, we appreciate your valuable feedback and always strive to provide prime service to our #SilverwareFamily!

  ### 5. Silverware Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Brendan P. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

The easy to use user interface along with the ease of creating menu items and detailed reporting

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

There are times when Customer Support wait times run considerably long.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Silverware is an easy to use POS system that integrates with all of our restaurant needs. It solves our accounting and payroll needs as well as it offers a streamlined restaurant service. The MyPass feature allows managers, accountants and owners to view and run reports easily while either onsite or offsite.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Thank you for your kind review, Brendan!

  ### 6. Great Product - Customer Service is Lacking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

very straightforward. easy to use, easy to train. lots of functionality for splitting bills and types of service. back office is incredibly intuitive and user-friendly compared to other POS systems I've used.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Silverware needs to up their game with customer service. Their support staff can be helpful, but you're never sure what you're going to get and it's next to impossible to get the same person on the phone if you have to call in again, which is time-consuming and frustrating to always have to re-explain the issues. Have also tried to expand into Reservations and the sales people are absolutely terrible at getting back to you, especially considering we're trying to give them more money!

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

A word of warning that you can't actually access your own back-BACK office of the software on your own - you ALWAYS need to call support and they can log in and work on it. I think it's really weird that you don't have total control over something you have purchased for your own company.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

easy interface between Silverware and our PMS allows us a pretty seamless room billing option that works in real time. Lots of flexibility with posting to different revenue classes as well, which helps keep our accounting more streamlined. Working on a mobile options, which has been somewhat helpful, but still trying to work out the kinks over a year later...

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Thank you for your review!

We're happy to hear that you find Silverware easy to use and to train your employees.

We appreciate your feedback and strive to better our operations.

  ### 7. Silverware has proven to be one of the top POS systems in the industry.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jocelyn L. | Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

Being able to remotely add and update the system for multiple locations has proven to be extremely convenient especially when overseeing multiple worldwide locations.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Downsides include being dependent on internet and inability to re-combine checks after they’ve been split.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a multi-unit manager, it has been very useful being able to update pricing and menu items remotely. Having quick access to daily reports online is very convenient as well.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> We take pride in being one of the best in the industry! Thank you, Jocelyn!

  ### 8. A robust end-to-end solution for POS

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shaun C. | Associate Technology Application Analyst, Hospitality, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

The system is intuitive, not terribly complex to administer, and is capable of almost any configuration that works for you. It connects to our KDS and can integrate to our hotel's PMS system as well as a variety of other integrations that streamline our operations. As far as security goes, they use a strong encryption solution that reduces our PCI footprint, which cuts on cost and effort. Because it's cloud hosted rather than local, we can offer more flexibility to managers and finance who need reporting.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

The Clover Flex units, if you choose to use them, can create some server distress as they learn the hardware, and it's still not that common to have pay-at-the-table in the US, so a small minority of customers find it awkward. The scheduling is not totally there yet, so we couldn't use it to remove HotSchedules. We did notice some faults with the menu translation from the terminal screens to the Flex that required additional support. Print Routing is a lot more complex than in our previous systems, but it also has automatic failover and other features that remove the need to modify routing as often.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

Go the extra mile to train people and provide documents for training. The Flex will be a huge shift for experienced servers, and not handling that well will ultimately hurt morale in a big way

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Silverware offers a cloud-hosted solution that delivers on POS and reporting. The Flex units offer new ways to see efficiencies in our waitstaff as well as our finance teams. Enterprise Menu Management offers a better controlled approach to working with our menu. Overall, it has moved us forward in how we operate our food and beverage operations

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Shaun!

Thank you for your kind review, we're happy to hear you're finding our cloud-based solutions useful!

  ### 9. Great POS system

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sheelah S. | CFO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

It is a very user friendly POS system to use. Both at store level and management. It is great to use on the back end to pull various reports that are useful to me as the CFO. They work in a very timely matter as well, from first filling out a new store questionnaire to ordering the equipment to shipment, the system has been seamless. They also offer many different options for a restaurant, from Ipad ordering at tables, to screens in the kitchen. All of these things are improving the speed at which can get food out and also is cutting down on errors made when server writes down order and then goes and punches into POS system. We have found these new systems very beneficial and are very happy with them all.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

nothing it is a great POS system. The customer service needs some improvement, they do not always help in a timely fashion and have been rude to us on occasion.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

it would be great to anyone in with numerous restaurants that wants to pull reports from stores individually and as a group as a whole. The implmentation has been great with all of our new locations and quick deliver of the products.n

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Looking up past checks and tracking fraud issues. We can track by employee, date, check number, so it is very beneficial when we suspect a fraud issue. Also increased speed of getting food out to guests, with Ipad ordering and screens in the kitchen.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Sheelah!

We're extremely happy to hear we're helping you solve fraud issues and that you've increased the speed of your service! Thank you for your review!

  ### 10. Good POS System

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sue R. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

The system is user friendly and is easy to add specials or new menu items to. There are many reports that can be acquired to compare sales, see how many customers come in, what the avg sale is and when your busy & slow times are. Tech support has been very helpful when needed. It's great that you can carry the ipad from table to table and input orders faster.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

We had an issue with it using up all of our hard drive space at first, took a while to resolve the issue, but its working well now. I just wish we were able to get the dales directly into quickbooks. System does tend to go down or stop working right in the middle of a transaction

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The wait time for customers is reduced. You are able to pull up reports on just about anything the system does

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> We're pleased to know your experience with us has been a positive one, Sue! Thank you for your kind review.

  ### 11. Solid POS system

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** mike z. | Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 11, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

We have been using Silverware since August of 2000. It has been consistently stable and a solid workhorse for us. We originally and continually use the program in three separate retail environments. Although not as a food service app the software completely fills our needs. Selling gifts (scanned items), candy(scale items), and or everything from fresh fruit to coffee the program just plain works. In the last year we have utilized integrated credit card processing which is quicker than anything else we have used in the past. Service is always there and able to correct the our issues.... (Not like NCR /Aloha which struggles to correct their confusion).

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Program needs a next dollar cash acceptance option (Example: check total is $3.28... register should give the $4.00 cash accepted option.)

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

give it a try

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

quick service to retail customer

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Mike,

Thank you for your kind words! We appreciate your feedback.

  ### 12. Silverware is easy for servers to learn, highly programable and very stable.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Fraser S. | Owner, Sports, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 27, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

I like the numerous report options. Most importantly, silverware is rock stable.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

On my version, I find it a little unwieldy to bring up and delete old orders.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

Stable and easy to use.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking inventory, wages etc. Improved efficiency in customer service, keeping customer accounts up to date, tracking servers actions and debit, credit, cash reconciliations.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Fraser,

We're so glad you're staff is finding Silverware easy to learn - thank you for your review!

  ### 13. The very worst of the worst

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lee D. | owner operator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

When I pulled the plug on the system, returned it, bought another system and saw just how easy the other system was to operate.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Customer service, non existent. Difficulty of use off the planet. Screen changes good luck.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

Dont

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

N/A

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> We apologize your experience with Silverware was less than pleasant and appreciate your valuable feedback.

  ### 14. Service Does Matter!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael H. | Partner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

Technical Support is terrific! Out of all the POS systems If worked with the follow up and ease to get help is the Best out there. If your contract has expired they are still willing to help for a nominal fee vs. others that wont help till they have a full yearly support package paid for. Always willing to help and 24hr help desk that responds quickly. Have had little issues over the past three years but has always solved our issues quick and efficiently. . Oh! Ease of Programing on your own!!!! Huge plus! don't need support to do most of your changes like "Micros"

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Only Dislikes is when originally sold POS system some of the Items did not work as promised or said "yeah ours does that to.1) " Future Carry out orders - Don't send automatically. and 2) Frequent dinner not exactly what was sold. - Great for Restaurant that doesn't have one. Customer cant see there point on there own via website. More managing then told.. 86 items - if you have multiple items which we all do you have to enter each separately to add count or 86. take alot of time to enter each item over and over. Screen should stay up and just check boxes instead of typing in work over and over again. My Three items that I dislike. All systems have issues. Should this be the worst for any restaurant.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

Call others in use and ask likes and dislikes and what your needs are.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reliable POS system and ease to operate from management to staff.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Michael!

Thank you for your review. We're happy to hear you're happy with our technical support team!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

Seamless integration with our property Management System

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Took a long time to install. Our existing POS system was toll old and Silverware was not familiar with Maestro.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

Good product once up an running

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

One property Mgmt System with total integration with all support modules

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

  ### 16. The Only POS system Restaurants should use!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly F. | Administrative Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

I love how easy it is for me to add new items / price adjustments to the system. It is extremely easy for me to navigate and I like how I can contact Silverware 24/7 with any questions at all and they take their time to answer all of them.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

I dislike how difficult it is to get your logo on the receipt! I contacted a few times and it has to be a certain size / colour no background and they are not willing to just do it for you! Logos / branding is very important and I am surprised their isn't an easier way. Also The bottom of the receipt is very important to add messages or extra advertising and I find they need it to stand out a lot more.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

I highly recommend this system to anyone looking for a POS system.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like how easy it is for me to look up receipts and whats selling the most and least. I also like to see what the average check is per guest. We use it for accounting purposes and employee payroll.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Holly,

We're happy to hear you find Silverware easy to use. We appreciate your kind review and feedback!

  ### 17. Not a fast POS software

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Venkatrerish P. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

I am a low transaction food service place and considering that I should not have lagging issues. My issues persisted for over years. Finally since last 3 months the issue is not there anymore.

I stayed with Silverware because of their excellent Technical support team, Unfortunately, their sales team left me a very ill taste due to unresponsiveness.

If you are looking into Silverware or any POS product, Pls. don'nt go by theri demo's as its just a testing platform. it will have functions and its front end (look and feel) but will not show background issues.

For this you need to see and speak to businesses using their software.

Also, Silverware lack a "Training" Feature for new employees to get comfortable with the functions and use of the POS system.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Silverware does not have "Training" Module and its Sales team is very unresponsive.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

Review product from an existing user (relating to your business) to understand true feed back about the systems PROS & CONS.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Not solving any issues as we just needed a POS with cloud....which is a basic feature offered by all POS vendors

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Venkatrerish,

Thank you for your review! We appreciate your feedback.

  ### 18. Great product

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kurt B. | General Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

Front of house user interface is well designed - easy and intuitive to use

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

They need more reports on the back end - specific to a resort environment

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Silverware is highly stable and a big improvement over the "legacy" POS companies

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Kurt

We're very happy to hear you're finding Silverware easy and intuitive! Thank you for your review!

  ### 19. Silverware POS is a wonderful tool!

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

The restaurant features and ease of building buttons, updating instantly, tailoring to the needs of our restaurants are some of the best features of any POS. The HelpDesk has gotten a lot better over the years at being able to walk through problems and issues, something that happens on occasion. Functionality though is key to the success of this POS, including the reporting, which is equally important to ensure our businesses are running pristine.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Early on we did not like the HelpDesk, although that's slowly being corrected. Some things require too many steps to complete as oppose to some of the other POS software's out there that are designed with the user in mind. Some of the reporting is not great either because you can only organize alphabetically instead of highest sales to lowest and vice versa. You would think that's an easy fix, but they haven't figured that one out yet.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POS for our restaurants and banquet facilities. Utilizing the reports for P-mix and sales analysis and segment sales, etc. We also utilize the time keeping option that's implemented into the software.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Thank you for your kind words. We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us!

  ### 20. Reliable POS System

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

Excellent reporting features to increase profits!

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Tech supports pricing structure per half hour is on the high side for simple fixes.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Able to identify usage of a product that we would buy 4 cases weekly and trimmed to 2 1/2 based upon reporting. Year over year our saving for 6 locations were tremendous.

  ### 21. It depends on who the support provider is -

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

avrio is excellent - mobile unit is consistent and provides a great option.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

- recommended sales delay buttons - IE) guest orders Beer & Burger but isn't ready to order the burger portion yet after ordering the beer 1st. need a delay option to go back to finish the combo purchase
- technical support wait times aren't funnelled through a priority program - systems down should go to the front of the line - support company is not adequate - lots of discrepancy between the companies I have purchased the 23 units from.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

Product is easy to users for basic functionality - needs to implement more sophisticated applications for specific menu items.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

POS is standard and meets daily basic requirements.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi there!

Thank you for your review. We're happy to hear you're enjoying Avrio!

  ### 22. Response Times and Integration

**Rating:** 1.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

Online reporting makes it easier for all necessary colleagues at the head office to analyse data on a daily basis

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

As a corporation we have our own back-end systems. The integration between us and Silverware was poorly designed and was riddled with problems, which have mostly been corrected. Also, when discussing upgrades or changes to the systems, response time for any queries, whether for quotes, availability or change requests are very lengthy.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

Take the time to implement a proper implementation plan if using Silverware with in house corporate systems.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a retail corporation we have cafes at some of our locations. Our retail POS does not have restaurant functionality so a different system was necessary.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi there,

We apologize for your experience you've had with us. We appreciate your feedback!

  ### 23. Changing prices.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michele P. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

It is an easy system to learn but a book should come with it to be able to do some of the more difficult tasks. Because when u call, they take over the computer and change things which is great but u don’t learn how to do it yourself.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

That they do not call once a month to make sure everything is going well.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is an easy system to show new staff members coming in.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Michelle!

We appreciate your kind review. Thank you for using Silverware POS!

  ### 24. Great potential and easy to use but incredibly glitchy

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

The system is super user friendly and offers everything you need to run a busy restaurant.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Constantly crashes, the database drops out, the tech support will not return voicemails and constantly miss appointments that are set up. Most of the techs do not know the system very well. Issues can take weeks to resolve. Mobile tablets do not work at all.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

More training for tech support and supervisors to follow up on ticket wait times and make sure issues are address as quickly as possible. Customer service is greatly lacking in this area.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Timesheet tracking is a plus and you can easily pull reports from the comfort of the remote office.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Thank you for taking the time to share your valued opinion on Silverware POS!

  ### 25. Great for 2005. Slow and outdated.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Restaurants | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

There isn't really anything that silverware does that every other POS doesn't do

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

The hardware is antiquated. The machines are slow and constantly freeze. You need to restart the computers every night or else hell will break loose. You cannot edit the menus remotely, everything has to be done from the POS. Antiquated method of checking sales. Gotta develop a report and then view it, no app.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

Go with a true cloud based POS.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It works as a POS, order entered and relayed to the kitchen, kitchen makes the order and is served.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

We really enjoy the reporting functions of silverware and the ability to pull out relevant data.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

We have found that the initial learning curve to the UI can be a little daunting and not entirely intuitive.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

It does everything you may need it to but not in the easiest way

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Backend Analysis

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Matt,

  ### 27. Silverware system

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John B. | Managing Partner, Hospitality, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

Easy to use and the layout of the screens is very easy to teach new employees.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Remote reporting requires a lot of steps to get simple reporting on your phone. Would like to see real time updates available.

**Recommendations to others considering Silverware:**

If you need a very reliable, easy to use POS system then this is for you.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Ease of use allows us to enter orders efficiently and in turn provide a high level of customer satisfaction. Saves on training time. Interface with both Moneris and Optimum has been very beneficial.

  ### 28. Great Point of Sale

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

The support is outstanding (Island POS). The interface is very user friend and easy for the front of house team to use.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

You do have to go through many screens to get to programming. Once you are in it is easy but when changing things on the fly it takes a bit longer than previous POS we have used.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reporting is fantastic. To be able to break down the minutia of sales we have been able to identify our slow periods are react accordingly.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi there!

Thank you for your review. We're glad to hear you enjoy our easy to use, user friendly interface!

  ### 29. There is better

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Greg D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 09, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

There is something to be said for the physical durability Silverware’s Old School PC Terminals have in a busy restaurant setting.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

Silverware does not have the same reporting capabilities and is not growing and developing as fast as some of the new cloud based POS systems. It is not easily linked with newly developed software programs.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It gets the job done. Orders in, checks out, checks closed, basic end of night reports. Anything further is not so user friendly.

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> Hi Greg!

We're sorry to hear about your experience with Silverware POS. Silverware offers multiple platforms and modules to help with operational efficiencies (i.e. Cloud Menu Management, Cloud Reporting, and Real-Time Dashboards).

We appreciate and value your honest feedback.

  ### 30. Retail Solution

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joanne L. | Co-Host: Compete to Eat, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 08, 2019

**What do you like best about Silverware?**

Silverware is a fairly simple system to learn... updating menu items is easy to do on the fly and new staff members have had no issues using the system. I would suggest integrating credit cards, saving the step of balancing the two machines. Customer service was good the one time we have used it, fixing the issue quickly.

**What do you dislike about Silverware?**

We don’t have a back office, so printing of reports and such are a bit of an issue.

**What problems is Silverware solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Retail Solution

**Official Response from Andrew Kritiotis:**

> We really appreciate you taking the time out to share your experience with us, Jo!
