## Semrush Reviews
 ### 1. All-in-One SEO

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Victor P. | Digital marketing specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

What I like best about Semrush is how it brings SEO, competitor research, keyword analysis, site audits, and content planning into one clear platform. It makes it easy to move from data to action, especially when identifying growth opportunities, tracking rankings, and understanding what competitors are doing well.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Semrush can feel a bit overwhelming at first because there are so many tools and dashboards. The pricing can also be quite high for smaller teams, and some keyword or traffic estimates are not always perfectly accurate, so the data still needs to be interpreted carefully rather than taken as absolute truth.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The main benefit is that it saves time and makes marketing decisions more data-driven. Instead of guessing what to focus on, Semrush helps prioritize the actions that can improve visibility, attract better traffic, and support growth.

 ### 2. The Ultimate SEO Toolkit with Unmatched Features

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haley C. | Founder / Marketing Strategist , Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

Semrush is the ultimate SEO tool, I was using Mangools before and it gave me very few features. Semrush, has so many features both SEO keyword related and with keyword review for GEO, AEO, and SEO. The tool is also very easy to use and they even offer customer support training sessions that I have been able to attend. Semrush has been a tool that immediately I implemented into my business to assist my customers, I use this tool daily. I was also able to integrate it into our systems immediately. The price is a bit expensive and I am curious with Adobe buying out them if it will rise. For Performance, it works pretty smoothly. The AI tool for blog writing is not accurate and has gone down in the past couple of months.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

As of right now, there are not dislikes I have encountered with SemRush, just their AI tools which I feel like they have gone downhill a bit.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush is solving the problem I had with accurate keyword research. After implementing this my customers are ranking organically for keywords Semrush helped me find using their tool that showed me the low hanging fruit keywords. This is benefiting me because my customers are getting so much organic traffic.

 ### 3. Powerful Insights for Smarter Marketing Decisions

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joanna H. | Commercial Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

Semrush gives you loads of useful insights and data that can really help with marketing decisions. I especially like being able to see what competitors are doing and spot opportunities that I might otherwise miss. It's a really powerful platform once you get used to it.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

I find Semrush quite difficult to use at times because there's a lot of SEO jargon and it can feel like it's designed for people who already know the subject inside out. As a Marketing Manager, I don't spend a huge amount of time on SEO, and I think I'd use the platform more if it was a bit easier to understand and navigate. The insights are excellent, but there's definitely a learning curve.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping understand keywords that can be used in web and blog activity

 ### 4. Powerful Site Audit for Technical SEO, but Pricing and Add-Ons Feel Confusing

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rene S. | Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

For me it is the Site Audit. I do a lot of technical SEO and rather than giving me difficult directions it dumps the necessary changes in one big window and I can simply go to work on our website to hopefully increase performance metrics.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

I would the pricing is a bit confusing. To really get the most out of SEMRush you almost have to immediately go to the Guru level and even then location/listing managements are all add-ons.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is mainly helping me with the Ai visibility. We are currently in this weird shift between Local SEO/SEO vs LLMs that is still a bit confusing for a lot of us. However, the onboarding process was fairly simple and the way it is easy to schedule with certain SEMrush employees is good to see.

 ### 5. Semrush’s Keyword Gap and Research Tools Are Essential for SEO

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitchell O. | VP Of Sales and Acquisition, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 23, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

Semrush has become an essential part of our SEO workflow, and what we value most is the depth and reliability of the keyword research and gap analysis tools. The keyword gap feature in particular has been invaluable for identifying terms our competitors are ranking for that we are not, giving us a clear roadmap for content and optimization opportunities we might otherwise have missed. The keyword research data is extensive and the ability to filter by intent, difficulty, and volume makes it easy to prioritize which terms are worth pursuing. The organic research tools also give us strong visibility into how our own rankings are trending over time and where we have room to grow.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The biggest frustration with Semrush is the cost, particularly for smaller teams that only need a subset of the features the platform offers. The pricing tiers can feel steep and some of the more advanced features are locked behind higher plans that are difficult to justify unless you are using the full suite regularly. The sheer volume of tools and data available can also feel overwhelming at times, and navigating to the specific features you need most requires some familiarity with the platform before it becomes second nature. Keyword volume and traffic estimates can also occasionally feel inflated compared to what we see in Google Search Console, which requires some calibration when making decisions based on the data.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush solves the problem of understanding the competitive search landscape and identifying where our organic growth opportunities lie. Before having a dedicated SEO tool, keyword research was time consuming and fragmented, making it difficult to prioritize content efforts or understand how we stacked up against competitors in search. The keyword gap analysis has been particularly beneficial, giving us a structured way to identify content and optimization opportunities based on what competitors are already ranking for. The biggest overall benefit has been the ability to make SEO decisions backed by real data rather than guesswork, which has made our content and optimization efforts significantly more focused and effective.

 ### 6. Powerful, All-in-One SEO Research with a Strong UI and Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Clayton T. | Senior Revenue Marketing Consultant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

Semrush has a really strong UI and there are plenty of tools in here, which allow me to do a lot of my work and research in one place. I also enjoy being able to integrate with other platforms to keep a lot of my data in one place vs jumping from tool to tool

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Ability to customize the navigation. There are a lot of tools I do not have a need for, so it would be nice to be able to limit the amount of things I see and have some custimuzation built in

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush is helping me analyze client performance across digital, and help set better expectations for them into the digital marketing issues the encounter. This could be lack of marketshare, declining traffic/leads, reduced visibilty with AI search

 ### 7. SEMrush: Powerful All-in-One SEO Suite with Excellent Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anupama J. | Digital Experience and Performance Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

SEMrush is a really solid all-in-one tool, especially for keyword research, competitor insights, and tracking how you’re performing over time. I like how it brings SEO, paid, and content data into one place without feeling too overwhelming. Its overall performance and after sales support is amazing.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Nothing as such but it could go a step further by offering more AI-led strategy suggestions rather than just data. It would also be great to see better visibility into how SEO and content actually drive conversions, not just traffic. Tracking presence in AI search results is another area that feels like a gap right now.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It crawls my website and gives me the detailed analysis I need to maintain good site health. I also use the Keyword Magic Tool and Position Tracking.

 ### 8. Powerful All-in-One SEO Suite, But Pricing Adds Up for SMEs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Anish S. | Marketing Manager, Computer Software, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

The ability to have so many tools under one space and also the data accuracy of Semrush is really great, the user interface is okay for someone technical, I have not used integrations to different tools a lot

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The price is the biggest barrier to entry, and I think this is where SEMrush falls short. I know it offers a lot of features, but the pricing is still too high for an SME, and on top of that, each additional tool comes with an extra cost.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush is really good at analyzing our company’s organic growth and showing how we’re performing compared to competitors. The new AI impressions dashboard is great too, because it lets us see how many mentions we’re getting from AI chats and track that more clearly.

 ### 9. Powerful SEO Analytics and Competitor Insights with Semrush

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dr. Amin F. | COO & CITO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I like its analytics UI/UX, keyword performance reports, the ability to integrate new potential keywords into the monitor, content strategy features, AI chatbot optimization help, backlink monitoring, and competitor analysis.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

It is very expensive, so if Semrush could do something about pricing, that would be a great help.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A.I. search score and, of course, SEO (technical SEO also). I was not aware of how my website was optimized for the A.I. Chatbot before this even became a thing, but I have followed the good practices suggested by Semrush for my SEO, and that helped me indirectly to get me good score for A.I. search and now semrush has a dedicated A.I. search improment matrics that you can use it to go to the next level with all other amazing tools.

 ### 10. Simple UI, Accurate Insights, and Great Value with Promising New AI Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mostafa S. | Search Engine Optimization Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

The UI/UX is pretty simple, everything is easy to find, it works with other tools well even like Claude and ChatGPT and LookerStudio. The numbers are usually very good and the patterns are pretty accurate even in difficult markets like egypt. Compared to competitors, it's well priced, support is usually fine and helpful. Their new AI features look promising and I'm looking forward to exploring them more.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

I think it would be beneficial to have more educational content on how to make the most out of the tools. Also some features are locked behind the higher tiers that should be enabled in all tiers even if it's limited.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The data problems. Semrush is really good in giving you all kinds of metrics that we can use in our work.

 ### 11. Powerful SEO Insights with Seamless Setup

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard S. | Sales and Marketing Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I like the ability to filter by a number of different metrics like keyword, position, traffic, and visibility. The competitor feature works especially well to understand if something is affecting just our site or everyone in the industry. The initial setup of Semrush was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The user interface is easy to use but a bit overwhelming with so many different features hidden in menus. It can often take 4-5 clicks to get to the data I want to see. The AI search feature seems like a bit of a con.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Semrush to understand the effects of site changes, track traffic sources, and spot performance issues effortlessly. It's directly helped us areas on the site to optimize and basically pays for itself within a few months.

 ### 12. Charged Without Authorization and Left Without a Resolution

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

Absolutely nothing. They have charged us and many other fraudulently.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

I had a negative experience with Semrush, not because of its SEO features, but because of how an account security issue was handled.

Someone gained unauthorized access to our account and added multiple projects that we did not create. Charges were then made using the payment method saved on our account. What confused us most was that these transactions were completed without the additional verification we had encountered during some of our own legitimate subscription payments.

As soon as we noticed the activity, we contacted customer support and provided all the relevant details. We expected the incident to be investigated and the unauthorized charges to be reviewed. Instead, our refund request was declined, and we felt the response did not adequately address what had happened.

When I followed up with specific questions about how the unauthorized access occurred, what security measures had been reviewed, and why the transactions were processed, those questions went unanswered. Instead, the support ticket was simply closed with a statement that no further assistance would be provided. That response was particularly frustrating because we were looking for transparency and reassurance after a serious security incident.

No software platform is completely immune to security issues, and I understand that. What matters most is how a company responds when customers report a problem. In our case, we were left with unexpected charges, the loss of important account data, and no clear explanation of what had happened or how the issue had been investigated.

Semrush has a strong reputation for its SEO and marketing tools, but based on our experience with account security and customer support, I cannot recommend the platform. I would encourage other users to regularly monitor their account activity and saved payment methods as a precaution.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Instead of solving problems, it has created a lot of problems for us. And no support was provided too.

 ### 13. Easy to Use with Powerful Keyword Tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Preston A. | Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

It is pretty easy to use. I like the keyword magic tool and the being able to track whatever keywords I want for a particular project even if they are low volume keywords that semrush doesn't have much data on. I mostly do local SEO so thats important to me.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Its really expensive. Its the most expensive tool that I pay for by far. I wish it had more functionality for local seo.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Tracking keywords for clients. Showing general data on what keywords and work and what aren't. Another data point of traffic. I also use the feature that shows you what keywords competitors are using and I use that when building landing pages. I'm able to connect to Claude code using MCP which is pretty helpful.

 ### 14. Semrush

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlotte M. | Marketing coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

High Barrier to Entry: The base tier (the SEO starter plan) sits at around $139.95/month. For freelancers, solo founders, or small business owners just dipping their toes into SEO, this is a hefty monthly commitment compared to cheaper alternatives like Ubersuggest or Mangools.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Aggressive Billing and Cancellation Pain: Across consumer review platforms like Trustpilot, a significant number of low ratings stem from customer service and billing complaints. Users frequently report being hit with unexpected auto-renewal charges and experiencing friction when attempting to cancel their subscriptions.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The elimination of ghost keywords and the WordPress & Google Docs integration (The native integrations for content creators (like the SEO Writing Assistant plugin) are solid, grading your optimization, tone, and readability in real time right where you write.)

 ### 15. Best-in-Class Keyword Research and Tracking in One Connected Platform

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shahid A. | SEO Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

The keyword research and position tracking are genuinely best-in-class. Everything is connected in one place, so I can go from finding a keyword gap to auditing a page to tracking rankings without switching tools. The competitor analysis, like keyword gap features, saves a lot of guesswork, and the site audit tool is very actionable since it prioritises issues and explains the fix clearly

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The Topic Research tool feels more keyword-driven than genuinely topic-driven. It surfaces headline ideas and related searches but lacks depth in terms of content clustering, semantic relationships, and identifying true content gaps at a topical authority level. A more structured topic mapping capability would make it significantly more useful for building out content strategies.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Keyword Research, Technical Audit & Competitor Analysis

 ### 16. Essential for SEO and AI Visibility in our global strategy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sergio A. | Copywriter and SEO expert, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I use Semrush to find the best keywords and questions people are searching, which helps create helpful product pages, blog posts, and FAQ sections to improve the visibility of our products. I like that it is easy to use and allows me to create different projects to keep things organized. Semrush also gave me a different perspective on SEO, showing that it's not just about using a bunch of high-volume keywords but considering the best potential, the difficulty, and the intent. I also learned that including frequently asked questions is key in SEO and AI visibility. The initial setup of Semrush was very easy, and I find value in its ability to help reach more people and improve our visibility on Google, YouTube, and AI platforms.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The content creation tool is very basic with limited options. It requires more than just keywords to create relevant content. The AI Visibility tool lacks transparency and doesn't provide much information about how scores are determined. However, I know this will improve like Semrush always does.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Semrush to find the best keywords and questions for content, improving product visibility and reaching more people. It's easy to use, helps organize projects, and offers a new perspective on SEO and AI visibility, focusing on keyword potential, difficulty, and intent.

 ### 17. Semrush: An All-in-One SEO Powerhouse for Keyword Research and Content Planning

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marc A. | Manager, Writing and Editing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

What I like best about Semrush is how all-in-one it is for SEO and digital marketing. It makes keyword research, competitor analysis, and site audits really straightforward, even if you’re not an expert. I also like how detailed the data is, especially for tracking rankings and finding content opportunities. It’s a tool I keep coming back to when planning and optimizing content.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

What I dislike about Semrush is that it can feel a bit overwhelming at first because there are so many tools and features. The pricing can also be a bit high for beginners or small creators who are just starting out. Once you get used to it, though, it becomes much easier to navigate and use effectively.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps solve the problem of figuring out what content to create and how to improve visibility on search engines. It makes keyword research, competitor analysis, and SEO optimization much more accessible in one place.

For me, it saves a lot of time when planning content for my website by showing what people are actually searching for and how competitive those topics are. This helps me create more focused, high-intent content that has a better chance of ranking and reaching the right audience.

 ### 18. Semrush Makes AEO Easy with a User-Friendly Tool and Helpful Content

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kokolina P. | Management, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

We’ve been playing around with AEO since the second half of last year, and Semrush has been a huge help for us. It’s been great to see their AEO functionality actively evolving alongside our own skills as we figure out what “proper” AEO actually looks like in practice. The interface is also as user-friendly as ever, which makes it easy to jump in and get to work without friction.

Beyond the tool itself, they’ve also started producing a lot of genuinely relevant blog content on AEO since last year. It does a nice job of breaking down which factors really matter and which things you can safely ignore. I’d encourage anyone using Semrush for AEO to check out those posts. And while I haven’t looked yet, I suspect there are probably some solid materials on this in the Semrush Academy as well.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The main downside for us right now is that their production pace and updates don’t move quite as fast as they could. The AI search landscape is changing overnight, and we expect new features to roll out a bit sooner to keep up with the trend. Because of that slight lag in capabilities, we currently have to use two completely different platforms at the same time to get everything we need done. For example, we rely on a tool called Profound alongside Semrush to fill in the gaps, which can be frustrating when, ideally, you just want a single platform to handle your entire workflow.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As a consulting firm, we use it to solve problems on two levels. First, it helps us with prompt research: figuring out the exact wording people use and tracking how our competitors are performing inside the LLMs compared with our own situation. Second, we take those same insights and apply them for our clients, using the tool to recommend the same methodology we’re already using successfully for ourselves.

 ### 19. Effortless SEO Insights with Semrush

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Temiloluwa S. | Content Marketing Trainee, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I really like how easy Semrush is to use. It's not complex at all, and it feels like anybody could use it. The initial setup was super easy as well. I frequently use it to monitor our traffic, and I value features such as the domain overview, competitive analysis, keyword research, and backlink tracking. These tools are really helpful for understanding our SEO performance, organic traffic, and keeping track of our website ranking.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

It's okay. Maybe increase, like, the amount of features you can access on a specific plan.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps me monitor backlink gaps, SEO performance, organic traffic, keywords, and website ranking. It gives insights into keyword gaps and AI trends. I use it to keep track of where people mention us.

 ### 20. Actionable Website Insights and Powerful Keyword Research

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Green P. | Marketing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

The insights that it offers on our website. We use google search console as well but we like the recommendations for website fixes. We like the keyword research tools that it offers. It's great to have insights into how competitive words are and see granular insights for keywords.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

I would like to be able to explore other tools through SEM rush, in particular the local seo features which I believe are an add on at this time, but since I use other tools for that it would be great to have a free trial for that to see if the value added is worth moving from other tools.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Improvements to our website, which helps our company to be more visible to potential customers.

 ### 21. Good all-in-one tool, but data accuracy needs improvement

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Smit D. | SEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

What I like about Semrush is that it covers multiple use cases in one platform. I mainly use it for keyword research, basic site audits, and tracking positions.

The interface is also quite easy to navigate compared to other SEO tools, which makes it helpful for quick checks and reporting.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The biggest issue for me is data accuracy. In many cases, keyword data and traffic estimates feel inconsistent, especially when compared with Ahrefs.

Because of this, I don’t fully trust the numbers for decision-making and usually cross-check important keywords elsewhere.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps me get a quick overview of keywords, rankings, and basic site issues without using multiple tools.

However, for deeper analysis and more accurate data, I still rely on Ahrefs. So for me, Semrush works more as a supporting tool rather than the primary one.

 ### 22. Accelerates SEO Strategy with Actionable Insights and Powerful Tools

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Irakli A. | Head of SEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

What I like most about Semrush is how quickly it helps you move from thinking, “I think this is the problem,” to knowing exactly what to do next. Working with keywords makes it easy to go from a broad topic to a focused list of target queries, showing intent, difficulty, and real chances to rank. This way, you avoid wasting time on keywords that don’t matter. For competitor research, it clearly shows what’s bringing traffic to other sites right now, down to specific pages and keyword groups, so you can build your strategy faster and with more confidence. On the technical side, the Site Audit is useful because it gives you a clear list of fixes you can give to developers and then track improvements over time. The reporting is also helpful if you manage several projects, since you can show progress in a way that clients and non-SEO team members can easily understand, without needing a long explanation.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Semrush can sometimes feel overwhelming. With so many tools and tabs, it’s easy to get lost clicking around instead of focusing on your tasks, especially if you don’t use it daily.

The numbers can be a bit unreliable. Keyword volumes, difficulty scores, traffic estimates, and backlink metrics are all just estimates. If you treat them as exact, you might make mistakes. I find Semrush most helpful for spotting opportunities and patterns, then double-checking important decisions in Search Console, GA4, and real search results.

Position Tracking can become costly and tricky when you use it on a large scale. If you track many keywords across different locations or devices, you might reach your limits quickly. The backlink data is good, but it’s not always up-to-date or complete for every niche, so you may notice some gaps compared to other link tools.

For technical SEO, the Site Audit tool is useful, but it sometimes flags too many issues or treats rare cases as urgent. You still need an experienced person to decide what really affects rankings and revenue.

The content recommendations are a good starting point, but if you follow them too closely, you might end up with content that sounds like everyone else’s. It’s better to use them as a guide and aim for something more original.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush solves three big problems for me: finding the best keywords and content opportunities, understanding what competitors are winning with, and turning technical SEO into a clear fix list. It benefits me by saving time, helping me prioritize the right actions, and making reporting to clients and teams much easier.

 ### 23. Semrush: Easy to Use, Well-Priced, and Packed with Powerful Reports

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrea v. | Sales And Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

Easy to understand, lot's of free courses, a nice ux, solid stats and uptime. Semrush covers all round online site requirements for modern agencies. It's up to date and integrates well with other platforms. The reports produced are super and the ui smooth. Support is also excellent and the suite is well priced for what it delivers. I have been using it for many years and it is the best tool on the market.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Some features are behind paywalls, that's about all.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps me to help online clients be at the forefront of their sector. The stats it gives me for sites and more are detailed and of the most importance. It allows me to refine to granular details and export.

 ### 24. Unmatched Feature Depth and Easy Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Liz B. | Digital Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I like the depth of the tool, no other single tools (or even several combined) offer the same mix of features. Reporting is also easy to create and work in, though could use some changes to make it more robust, thorough, etc.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Reporting widgets have been sunset with no 1:1 replacement, changing dates and bulk updates is not easy, particularly when you are creating a PoP and YoY sections in 1 report. On download, widget dates can revert to different dates, so a very careful review is needed. There is no meaningful AI section (like there is for site audit and SEO positioning)

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SEMrush solves reporting problems that would take 50x longer to create and maintain and Data Studio/Looker Studio.

 ### 25. Quick, Insightful SEO Dashboard with Fantastic Support

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aakash J. | Head of Corporate Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

It provides a quick dashboard about my key metrics, with roughly accurate data points on organic search and key word rankings.

I also appreciate that it has an almost native integration with Claude to help centralize my data points.

The support has been fantastic during onboarding and throughout the user process.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The pricing feels a little steep. I also felt a little taken for by not having access to the competitor information right off the bat. I wish they would increase the price and roll that feature directly in.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It provides key visibility metrics for SEO and GEO that I can use to improve our digital marketing standing over time. The suggestions are also helpful for some quick website quality wins.

 ### 26. Powerful Local Dashboard for Share of Voice, Competitor Tracking, and AI Review Responses

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kris N. | Sr. Director of Retail, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

The local dashboard for retail store locations is my primary use case. Understanding share of voice, tracking competitors, and leveraging AI review responses have all been valuable for my businesses.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Listing managment section often has bugs. For example, there are always some locations of mine that have potential listings that say "pending" for weeks or even months at a time. Also, the AI review responses often use the same words or sentences and can come off as disengenuious.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Google business pages don't provide in-depth data dashboards like Semrush. So tracking my KPIs like avg rank, share of voice, and YOY interactions is only possible with a Semrush tool. We need these KPIs to improve our listing performance to acquire new customers.

 ### 27. All-in-One SEO Tool That Simplifies Strategy & Execution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mamta A. | Sr. SEO Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

From keyword research and competitor analysis to site audits and rank tracking, it saves a lot of time by eliminating the need to switch between multiple tools. The keyword data is quite reliable, and the ability to analyze competitor strategies - especially their top-performing pages and keywords - helps in planning more effective SEO campaigns.

The Site Audit feature is another highlight, as it clearly identifies technical issues and prioritizes them, making it easier to take action. I also find the Position Tracking tool very useful for monitoring performance trends and reporting to clients.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

One of the main drawbacks of Semrush is its pricing, which can be quite high, especially for smaller teams or individual users.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush solves the problem of managing multiple SEO tasks across different tools by bringing everything—keyword research, competitor analysis, site audits, and tracking—into one platform. It helps me quickly identify opportunities, fix technical issues, and make data-driven decisions. This improves efficiency and makes it easier to drive and report organic growth.

 ### 28. Semrush Made Local Listings Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Barringer B. | Head of Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I use Semrush primarily for local listing management, and it has been an incredible tool for keeping our business information accurate and consistent across directories. The Local Listing Management feature makes it easy to update and sync our business details everywhere at once, saving a huge amount of manual effort. Managing our Google Business Profile through Semrush has been especially seamless — tracking changes, monitoring our listing health, and ensuring everything stays up to date is all in one place. The automatic review responses are timely and professional, which has been a game-changer for maintaining our online reputation without added workload. The listing tracking and ranking improvements we've seen week over week have directly contributed to growing our business. Best of all, the initial setup was quick and painless — we were up and running with no issues at all.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The only minor downside is that some features took a bit of time to find — the platform is packed with tools, so navigating it has a slight learning curve at first.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps us manage our local business listings and Google Business Profile all in one place, eliminating the need to manually update information across multiple directories. It also takes the pressure off responding to reviews by automating that process professionally and promptly. The result is improved local search rankings week over week, which has directly helped grow our business.

 ### 29. Good Data Accuracy and Deep Organic Keyword Coverage

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mukul B. | Marketing Director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

Data accuracy stands out, along with the large database of keywords they maintain. I also like that they’re still able to capture a large volume of organic footprint beyond page 1, unlike ahrefs, which seems to have restricted it mostly to page 1 after Google’s num=10 update.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

It’s not that strong on authority (backlinks) or on the technical side, especially compared with other tools like Ahrefs.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Across the organization, my team and the other teams use Semrush as a single source of truth to review the organic footprint of our client websites and compare their performance against competitors. It helps us identify gaps in their content strategy that are limiting the brand’s overall visibility in organic search.

 ### 30. Amazing Competitor Research and Overall SEO Performance

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chloe N. | Digital Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

The research capabilities for competitors is AMAZING! There is so much to offer to not only help us research and understand gaps but then tell us how to actually use that information to start creating contennt. The new AI function is really great too.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Sometimes I feel like there are TOO many tools in there and I am unsure of what they all do. I also don't like that sometimes there are certain features we don't get access too that we have to pay additional for and that can be kind of frustrating

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Understanding our organic SEO and GEO/AI ranking, see gaps in SEO and how to improve our performance, and helping create content/keywords as well as competive understanding

 ### 31. SEMrush is a great tool for SEO experts and newcomers

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lewis H. | E-Commerce Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2025

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

We use Semrush as our main SEO and digital marketing toolkit, and it’s become an essential part of our day-to-day work. The keyword research and competitive analysis tools make it easy to spot new opportunities, understand what our competitors are doing, and refine our content strategy.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The pricing can feel quite high for smaller businesses, especially if you need multiple seats or add-on features. Some tools and reports have a learning curve, so it takes time to get the most out of the platform.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush is helping me stay ahead of the competition by focusing on keywords they're struggling for and optimising our pages. Its nice to know what others are ranking for and how we can beat them

 ### 32. Great all-in-one SEO platform that saves us time

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rafael S. | Real estate agent, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

Semrush brings together almost everything our marketing team needs in one place. We use it for keyword research, competitor analysis, site audits, and tracking search rankings. The interface is intuitive, the reports are easy to understand, and it helps us quickly identify opportunities to improve our website's visibility.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

What do you dislike about Semrush?
The platform can feel a bit overwhelming at first because of the number of available tools. Some advanced features also require higher-tier plans, so smaller teams may need to prioritize which features they use most.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps us make data-driven SEO decisions instead of relying on guesswork. We can monitor keyword performance, identify technical issues before they impact rankings, and keep an eye on competitors. This has made our SEO workflow much more efficient and helped us improve our organic traffic over time.

 ### 33. Semrush Enterprise: Flexible, Data-Rich Multi-Market SEO & AI Visibility Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Himanshu P. | SEO Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

As an agency SEO professional managing enterprise-level reporting for DBS Bank across Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, and Singapore, Semrush has been a valuable platform for handling complex, multi-market SEO and AI visibility requirements.

What I like best about Semrush Enterprise is its flexibility. We use it for AIO reporting, prompt tracking, competitor AI visibility, country-level visibility, share of voice, dashboards, competitor insights, and custom performance reports for different stakeholders. The ability to create separate projects and campaigns for each market helps us keep reporting structured while still maintaining consistency across regions.

Semrush also stands out because of its data depth and first-mover advantage. New features, especially around AI visibility and prompt tracking, often become available earlier than in other tools, which helps us stay ahead when reporting on emerging search behaviours. For an enterprise client operating across multiple markets, this is especially useful because it allows us to bring newer insights into stakeholder conversations sooner.

Another major benefit is custom reporting. We have been able to standardise reporting across regions while still allowing each market to share specific suggestions for local customisation. This balance is important for a client like DBS Bank, where stakeholders need both a consistent regional view and market-specific insights.

The Enterprise setup also supports multiple projects well, and the support experience has been helpful. It gives us the scale needed to manage several markets without losing visibility at the individual project level.

One improvement I would like to see is a default global overview across all projects and metrics. Currently, when setting up a project, we select a specific market, which makes sense for local tracking. However, having a built-in global or regional overview by default would make it easier to compare overall performance across markets without needing additional setup.

Overall, Semrush Enterprise is a strong platform for agencies managing complex SEO, AIO, and competitor visibility reporting across multiple countries. It gives us the flexibility, data depth, and innovation needed to support enterprise clients with both regional consistency and local market relevance.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

One area I would like to see improved is project-level preference memory. For recurring reporting, we often need to adjust competitor sets and filters across multiple metrics. It would be very helpful if Semrush could save the selected competitors, filters, and reporting preferences from the previous session so that when we reopen a project, the same setup is applied by default. This would reduce manual work, improve consistency, and make multi-market reporting much smoother.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush for Enterprise helps us solve the challenge of managing SEO, AIO, and competitor visibility reporting across multiple markets for a large enterprise client like DBS Bank. We work across Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, Indonesia, and Singapore, so having separate projects, country-level visibility, dashboards, Share of Voice, prompt tracking, and competitor insights in one platform makes the reporting process much more structured.

One of the biggest problems it solves is standardisation. Earlier, multi-market reporting could become fragmented because each market may have different requirements, competitors, and performance focus areas. With Semrush Enterprise, we are able to create a consistent reporting framework across regions while still allowing room for market-level customisation based on stakeholder feedback.

It also helps us track emerging search trends, especially around AI visibility and prompt tracking. This is becoming increasingly important as clients want to understand not only traditional organic performance, but also how their brand appears across AI-driven search experiences. We are also testing Semrush Enterprise for native-language searches and hoping it can effectively gather AI visibility insights across different local languages, which would be especially valuable for multi-market reporting.

The benefit for us is better efficiency, stronger consistency, and more meaningful client conversations. We can provide stakeholders with clear performance reports, competitor benchmarks, share of voice insights, AI visibility trends, and market-specific performance insights. Overall, Semrush Enterprise helps us manage complex regional reporting at scale while giving us the flexibility to meet the needs of different markets and stakeholders.

 ### 34. Easy, Reliable Keyword Research Tool That Saves Hours Each Week

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

It’s really easy to use, and I don’t need any in-depth training to get started. The site is simple to navigate, and it’s clear what features are available and how to use them. It saves me a few hours each week because it’s a straightforward tool for keyword research.

It gives me results quickly and has been reliable, so I use it daily.

Getting set up was fairly straightforward.

I haven’t had to contact support yet, but it’s good to know they offer a chatbot and a help centre if I ever need help.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Semrush doesn’t integrate with AI tools. I use Claude pretty often to compare search results and make my keyword research and competitor analysis more efficient. If Semrush integrated with Claude, it would speed up my analysis, make my work much easier, and save me at least an hour.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps me identify technical SEO issues, track keyword rankings, monitor organic performance, and discover content opportunities. It allows me to quickly spot problems such as broken links, missing metadata, and site health issues while also providing insights into competitor strategies and keyword gaps. This helps me make data-driven SEO decisions, improve search visibility, and prioritize the work that will have the biggest impact on organic traffic.

 ### 35. Great SEO Insights, but Extra Costs and Navigation Issues Hold It Back

**Rating:** 2.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** John P. | Digital Strategist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

It gives me a lot of insights and helps me track my progress in SEO in a clear, intuitive way. Support works good with a dedicated customer success manager. It has AI features that give a decent review of each account, but could be improved. Performance wise it's ok. It allows for integrations, but those are not needed for a good experience.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Having to pay extra for almost every new feature added, and how navigation is structured. It's easy to get lost in the UI. Some pages open into a new window for no apparent reason.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps me prioritise what actions to take for our SeO clients in a great way and shows us where the low hanging fruit are. This makes it easy to get traction early.

 ### 36. Semrush’s All-in-One SEO Toolkit with Powerful Competitive Intelligence

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

Semrush's biggest strength is the breadth of its all-in-one toolkit, it combines keyword research, competitor analysis, backlink auditing, rank tracking, and site auditing in one platform, so you rarely need separate tools. Its competitive intelligence is especially strong, letting you see competitors' organic and paid keywords, traffic estimates, and ad strategies. The keyword database is also one of the largest in the industry, which makes it reliable for both SEO and PPC research.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Semrush is a powerful all-in-one SEO platform, but it comes with real trade-offs. The biggest downside is the cost, plans start around $140/month, and you quickly run into limits on tracked keywords, reports, and users that push you toward pricier tiers or paid add-ons like local SEO and .Trends, which are billed separately. The constant upsells can feel relentless. It's also worth knowing that the traffic and keyword data is modeled rather than actual, so it's great for spotting trends and comparing competitors but shouldn't be taken as exact. Finally, the sheer number of tools makes for a steep learning curve, and it can feel overwhelming until you find the handful of features you actually use day to day. Powerful, but pricey and not always beginner-friendly.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush solves the problem of scattered SEO work, keyword research, competitor analysis, rank tracking, and site audits all live in one place, which saves time and keeps data consistent.

The integrations with Google Analytics, Search Console, and Looker Studio let me pull real performance data into client reports without stitching sources together. The Site Audit and Position Tracking run reliably at scale, so I spend less time guessing what to fix. Onboarding is smooth thanks to Semrush Academy and a deep knowledge base, and the newer AI features speed up keyword clustering and content drafting. The main benefit is consolidation: one source of truth that cuts down on tool-switching and makes reporting far more efficient.

 ### 37. Intuitive, Fast, and Insightful—Semrush Delivers Premium SEO Value

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

What I like best about Semrush is how intuitive and well-designed the platform is compared to many other SEO tools. The user interface is clean and easy to navigate, making it simple to access the data I need quickly. The keyword research and backlink analysis tools are particularly strong, providing valuable insights without a steep learning curve. Global position tracking is reliable and comprehensive, performance is consistently fast and when I've needed them, the support team have been really responsive.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

I don't have any significant complaints about Semrush. If I had to identify one drawback, it would be the price point, as it sits firmly in the premium end of the market and may be out of reach for some smaller businesses or freelancers. That said, the breadth of features, quality of data, performance, and support justify the investment and in my experience, you get what you pay for.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps me manage and improve SEO performance across multiple client accounts. It allows me to monitor keyword rankings, identify new keyword opportunities, uncover content gaps, and benchmark performance against competitors. The backlink analysis and site audit tools also help identify areas for improvement and support data-driven SEO strategies. Having all of this information in one platform saves time, improves reporting and helps deliver better results for clients.

 ### 38. Comprehensive Platform with Powerful AI Tools

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kayla S. | Hard Goods Stock Assistant, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I use Semrush for tracking the health of my website, looking for errors and improvements, and I have enjoyed the new features focused on AI and AI search as well as keyword monitoring and optimizing. I like that it brings all my analytics and troubleshooting/auditing to one platform. The platform is really focused on providing an easy UX to navigate through the different analytics sections. I think their new AI tools and integrations work well and position them well to continue being used in our workflow. These tools provide more insight on how AI bots read my content and site, which is really relevant today for improving my website performance and marketing. The initial setup was very easy to connect to our platforms.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

There's a ton of stuff in Semrush, and it can get kind of unwieldy to find things.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Semrush for tracking my website's health, consolidating analytics, and leveraging AI for better insights into SEO and content performance.

 ### 39. Semrush’s AI Visibility Toolkit Keeps Us Proactive as Search Evolves

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louis R. | Director, Web, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 08, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

What stands out most is how Semrush is evolving beyond traditional SEO into AI visibility. The AI Visibility toolkit gives us a clearer picture of how our content is being surfaced in emerging search experiences, which is critical right now. It’s helped us stay proactive instead of reactive as search behavior shifts.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The platform can feel a bit dense, especially with newer features layered in. There’s a learning curve to fully understand which insights are most actionable versus exploratory. Streamlining the UI or offering clearer prioritization would make it easier to move faster.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush is helping us solve for discoverability in a fragmented search landscape. It’s not just about rankings anymore, it’s about being present in AI-driven answers and recommendations. That visibility is directly influencing how we structure content, which is leading to more targeted traffic and better alignment with user intent.

 ### 40. Semrush Turns Complex SEO and Competitive Data Into Actionable Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Leisure, Travel & Tourism | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

What I like most about Semrush is how it turns complicated SEO and competitive data into clear, useful insights. I can quickly see how our website is performing, what keywords matter, where competitors are showing up, and what opportunities we may be missing. It helps connect the dots between search behavior, content strategy, and measurable marketing decisions.

I especially value the competitive research tools because they make it easier to understand the digital landscape and identify ways to improve visibility. Instead of guessing what might work, Semrush gives us data we can actually act on.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

For users who are not deep SEO specialists, some of the terminology and recommendations can feel overly technical. I would like to see more guided workflows, clearer explanations, and stronger prioritization that tells users what actions will have the greatest impact.

I also think the reporting could be more user-friendly for sharing with non-technical stakeholders. The data is valuable, but it sometimes takes extra work to translate it into a simple story that leadership or clients can quickly understand.

Overall, my biggest frustration is not the quality of the tool. It is the complexity. Semrush has a lot of power, but it could do more to make that power easier to use and faster to act on.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps solve the problem of not knowing exactly how our website is performing in search or where we may be missing opportunities. It gives us visibility into keyword performance, competitor rankings, site health, backlinks, and content gaps, all in one platform.

The biggest benefit is that it helps take the guesswork out of SEO and digital strategy. Instead of making decisions based on assumptions, we can use real data to understand what people are searching for, how competitors are showing up, and where we can improve our content and website performance.

Semrush also saves time by pulling multiple insights into one place. The site audit and keyword tools help identify issues and opportunities faster, while the competitive research features help us see what is working in the broader market.

Overall, Semrush helps us make smarter marketing decisions, prioritize our efforts, and improve our online visibility. It turns SEO from a mystery box into something we can actually measure, manage, and improve.

 ### 41. Comprehensive SEO Solution Packed with Powerful Features

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bek D. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

The scope of the software - it has so many different tools and features, for all different aspects of an SEO campaign. It's an end-to-end solution, where many of the competing tools only look at a small area of SEO.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

The huge range of tools does mean that it can take you a bit of time to get your head around it all. I've been using the software for at least 5 years now, and I'm always discovering more tools and features. It can be a bit overwhelming at first.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's an end-to-end SEO solution - so instead of having a tech stack of a dozen plus tools and dashboards, I have one tool that I need to log into. It means my data and metrics are consistent, I only pay one subscription cost etc. It is saving me time, and sanity.

 ### 42. Semrush Makes Keyword Discovery Easy with Keyword Overview & Keyword Magic

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Industrial Automation | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

As a content writer for a B2B industrial automation company, I use it primarily for discovering keywords to help ensure our content is easily discoverable, both in terms of SEO and AIEO. I frequently use the Keyword Overview and Keyword Magic tools to discover relevant keywords, which is easy to find and use in the Semrush interface. Those have both been very easy to use and sort through to find the right mix of keywords, no matter what the subject of my content involves.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

My big pet peeve is the filter on the Keyword Magic tool. It often brings in a lot of erroneous keywords, which I fully expect it to pull in. However, sometimes refining a keyword can be rather tricky. The "All Keywords" provides every single little related word, even seemingly unrelated numbers (a search for "automotive part coating" gives the numbers "2," "12," and "1" as keywords, which really isn't helpful). I wish Semrush algorithms or their AI tools could help sort through so I could more quickly find what I'm looking for. It's possible there is a feature that does that, but it's either hidden someplace or at some price point above my usage tier.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use the data provided by the Keyword Magic tool, specifically the intent, volume, and keyword difficulty to inform my writing. In fact, those numbers are all included in my copy document whenever writing a content piece. That way if anyone has any questions as to why a particular word was chosen, there is data right there to back it up.

 ### 43. Semrush Delivers Rich, Interactive Insights with Shareable Visualizations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Printing | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I love the detailed insights the platform provides. Semrush neatly organizes data into clear, easy-to-digest sections, which really makes the platform stand out. I also appreciate how interactive the data is within the platform. For example, I can review information about a URL and then easily click through to that URL. The data is rich, and I love the visualizations, which make it much easier to share insights with key stakeholders who aren’t fully skilled up in SEO data.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

While I appreciate being able to see what other features I could upgrade to on the platform, I don’t love that the premium features still appear in the left-hand menu. I sometimes forget exactly which features are included in my subscription, so I’ll click a menu item and only then realize I need to upgrade to actually use that feature.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush has been crucial in making sure our technical SEO is exactly where it needs to be. I really appreciate the weekly reporting, which helps me quickly spot when an issue comes up and makes it simple to share that information with our development team so they can implement fixes quickly.

 ### 44. Essential SEO Tool with Room for Growth

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I use Semrush for keyword research and tracking backlinks. The keyword research feature lets me see the search volume and easily identify related keywords, which helps me know what content to target. It even lets me dive deeper into specific regions where the keyword is more popular. For backlink tracking, it informs me about the quality of backlinks, whether they are high-quality or not, and the authority of the websites they come from. Setting up a project is pretty easy and intuitive for me, especially since I've used Semrush for over ten years.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

I think the beginner plan, like the starting plan that I'm on, it's a little bit limited, so I wish it had more capabilities there. I also think it's backlink tracking isn't as robust as Ahrefs.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Semrush for keyword research and tracking backlinks. It helps me see search volume, related keywords, and regional popularity. For backlinks, it shows if they’re high quality and the authority of referring sites. It aids in targeting content and increasing our website's authority.

 ### 45. Effective Tool for SEO Tracking, but Setup Can Be Daunting

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ivan C. | Director of Business Development, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I like the heat map rankings because they let us know if changes, like loading up photos on Google or posting on Google, increase rankings. It shows changes over time to local searches, so if we make any adjustments, we can see if it influences rankings on Google Maps for local businesses. I also like the note system in Semrush as it helps me record when I make changes to websites and track if the rankings change over time.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Well, with respect to the heat map rankings, I could use a graph of the scores over time. I have to enter all the share of voice scores into a spreadsheet and sum them to get an overall score and then measure that over time to see if there are large changes that warrant action or decisively show gains. That's a lot of work and SEMrush could do it for me. There's a lot to do to go set things up. There's lots of different layers in there. I haven't even investigated half of it. I would probably only give it a seven because it's very expensive.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Semrush to record website changes, track local and Google Map rankings for clients, and show ranking scores and heat maps, helping me understand the impact of changes on rankings.

 ### 46. All-in-One Search Marketing Platform with Powerful Research and Client-Ready Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Accounting | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

What I value most is how the platform brings together nearly every part of search marketing in one place. The keyword research tools are strong for uncovering new opportunities and monitoring rankings, the Site Audit feature is essential for spotting technical issues, and Backlink Analytics provides critical insight into overall website authority. I also rely heavily on the competitive research capabilities—especially the ability to analyze competitor keywords, top pages, and advertising strategies—because they help me make informed marketing decisions. On top of that, the reporting features continue to impress my clients and make it easier to communicate results clearly.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

When it comes to areas for improvement, the platform’s complexity can feel overwhelming for new users. Many of my clients struggle to navigate it on their own, so a more streamlined, guided onboarding experience would make a big difference. Faster data processing and more real-time insights would also make the platform even more effective, especially for monitoring campaigns and reacting quickly to market changes.

On the business side, the current pricing structure—along with the removal of features for long-term, loyal users—can be a major hurdle for small businesses. I believe it’s important to maintain access to core features for long-standing users, as that’s vital to building a dependable, long-term partnership.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush is my #1 go-to platform for SEO. It covers everything from quick, small domain reviews to extensive audits and long-term SEO improvements for companies. Competitive analysis and keyword gap are very valuable to my clients.

 ### 47. All-in-One SEO Toolkit with Insightful, Well-Organized Reports

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Electrical/Electronic Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

What I like best about Semrush is the wide range of SEO and digital marketing tools available in one platform. It makes it easier to research keywords, analyze competitors, track rankings, and identify opportunities to improve website performance. The dashboards are well organized, and the reports provide useful insights that can help guide marketing decisions. Having multiple tools integrated into a single platform can save time and streamline workflow management.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

One downside of Semrush is that the platform can feel overwhelming for new users because of the large number of tools and features available. Some reports and metrics may require time to fully understand, and certain advanced capabilities are only available in higher-tier plans. Additionally, generating comprehensive reports can sometimes involve navigating through multiple sections of the platform. Despite these drawbacks, the overall functionality and insights provided are valuable.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps solve the challenge of improving online visibility by providing tools for keyword research, competitor analysis, site audits, and performance tracking in one place. This makes it easier to identify growth opportunities, monitor search rankings, and make data-driven marketing decisions. As a result, it can help save time, improve content strategy, and support efforts to increase website traffic and overall digital marketing effectiveness.

 ### 48. Semrush is the Best All-in-one SEO, Local SEO & AI Platform for Our Agency

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Norayr A. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

The best feature of Semrush is the simple fact that I have access to several SEO and AI optimization tools in one location. I also like the detailed reporting capabilities of the Semrush platform.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

Unfortunately, pricing has always been the issue for our company. We are a small web development and marketing agency and Semrush's fees are just to steep. Every little extra feature is considered an add-on and this does not help our bottom line.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are able to give our clients a complete picture of their website in terms of SEO, local SEO, and AI optimization. We are able to monetize the monthly reports that we have set up for our clients.

 ### 49. Essential SEO Tool with Room for Pricing Flexibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Benjamin W. | Content and Website Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

I really like how Semrush breaks down the reporting, especially in the website health section during audits. It categorizes issues so I can prioritize what needs attention based on the potential impact on the website. It breaks down fixes into categories like broken links, alt text, redirects, and even pinpoints the exact page that needs attention, which makes it all a lot easier. I find Semrush intuitive, making setup easy, and it's self-explanatory with a great user flow, which helps in getting to grips with the platform quickly. This simplicity extends to understanding the recommendations and suggestions, which makes implementing changes straightforward.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

I think the areas within Semrush that could be improved are I do think that with the trials of all the different tools, because they have so many different tools now and features, is that they could give you a bit more freedom and a bit more generosity with the feature set. I think sometimes they only give you a couple of days, and they charge quite a bit for the features and what they do. So I think, obviously, it becomes very pricey at that point. So I think what they could do is just make it a bit more attractive to actually test the features, so you can actually understand some of these new features that are coming out. It would be be really helpful to have more information and training on AI search and more freedom with the trial to be able to test that, so we can get more value out of it.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Semrush helps us improve our website and content by identifying errors and suggesting fixes. It tracks keyword performance, enhances traffic and conversions, and audits backlinks to boost our SEO rankings. We can easily report and get insights to improve our market standing.

 ### 50. Powerful All-in-One Marketing Platform with Intuitive UI and Robust Insights

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Semrush?**

SEMrush has become an invaluable tool in my day-to-day work, offering a user-friendly interface that makes it easy to navigate between keyword research, competitor analysis, site audits, and reporting. The platform's UI is intuitive and well-organised, allowing both beginners and experienced marketers to quickly find the insights they need.

One of SEMrush's biggest strengths is its ability to integrate multiple digital marketing functions into a single platform. From SEO and content marketing to paid search research, it provides a comprehensive view of performance and opportunities without the need for multiple tools.

In terms of performance, the platform delivers fast, reliable data and detailed insights that help inform strategic decisions. The reporting features are particularly useful for communicating results and tracking progress over time.

While the pricing can be a significant investment, the depth of data, time savings, and actionable insights provide strong ROI, particularly for agencies and businesses managing multiple campaigns or clients.

The onboarding experience is straightforward, with a wealth of training resources, certifications, webinars, and support documentation available. This makes it easy to get up to speed and continuously develop your skills.

The AI-powered features are also a welcome addition, helping to streamline content ideation, keyword discovery, and optimisation recommendations. These tools enhance productivity while still allowing marketers to apply their own expertise and strategic thinking.

Overall, SEMrush is a powerful all-in-one marketing platform that combines strong usability, robust data, and innovative features to support better digital marketing performance.

**What do you dislike about Semrush?**

While SEMrush is a powerful platform, there are areas that could be improved. The pricing can be a barrier, particularly for smaller businesses or users who only require access to a limited set of features. Some of the more advanced tools are locked behind higher-tier plans, which can make it expensive to unlock the platform's full potential.

Due to the breadth of functionality available, the platform can also feel overwhelming at times, especially for new users. While the onboarding resources are helpful, there can still be a learning curve when navigating the more advanced features and reports.

Although the AI tools are useful, the recommendations can occasionally feel generic and still require manual review and strategic input. Additionally, some integrations and data sources can vary in accuracy depending on the market or platform being analysed.

Overall, these are relatively minor drawbacks, but they are areas where the user experience could be further refined.

**What problems is Semrush solving and how is that benefiting you?**

SEMrush helps solve the challenge of bringing together multiple sources of marketing data into one platform, making it easier to research, plan, and measure campaign performance. It provides valuable insights into keywords, competitors, and market trends, helping me make more informed strategic decisions.

For me, this saves time, improves efficiency, and allows me to identify opportunities that can enhance campaign performance. Having access to reliable data and reporting in one place also makes it easier to communicate results and recommendations to clients and stakeholders.
