## Profound Reviews
 ### 1. Clean Dashboard and Weekly Summaries Make AI Visibility Easy to Track

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nino G. | Head of Customer Success, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

the best part of profound is that i am finally able to se e how we show up in AI answers. Before this tracking our visibility across the different models was basically me guessing most of it. I also like the weekly summary a lot because i can pull the key numbers fast without having to dig. It makes it simple to share updates with the team. The dashboard is clean and easy to read so i can get the key numbers fast without digging deep.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

the reporting can take a little getting used to at first. theres a lot of data vailable and its not always obvious where to start. Especially when u are new to thinking about GEO as a metric. It would also be helpful to have ab it more context built into the dashboard explaining what's driving score changes, not just that they happened. Those are minor things though and havent gotten in the way of finding things useful

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

before profound we had no real way to track how we were showing up in ai generated answers. we were investing in content and SEO but had no visibility into whether any of it was translating to citations from chatgpt gemini or claude. Profound solved that. it pulls everything into one place and gives us a score we can actually track over time which made it easy to onboard the team and align on what we're optimizng for. theperformance data updates regularly so we are not working off stale numbers and the ROI case basically made itself once we could show leadership a visibility score moving in the right direction week over week. It also integrates well into how we already report so it didnt require us to overhaul anything to start getting value from it.

 ### 2. Powerful, Easy-to-Use Agents That Turn Insights Into Action

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sara M. | VP of Content & Generative Search, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound's agents are extremely helpful for brands who are unsure what to do after reviewing the data that Profound provides. The agents allow you to take action and distill the info into manageable data sets. We've used a number of AI tools and Profound is one of the most powerful. The user experience is strong, making the tool easy to use and easy to gauge how the tool improves your brand's AI visibility and performance.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

It's rather expensive in comparison to other tools we've vetted but it does seem to have more insights and actionable agents than others. I'm also not sure how to integrate it with other data platforms like ahrefs - but that doesn't mean you can't!

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

In our business case, we're able to pull data from Profound and other AI visibility tools to get a wider view of a brand's total visibility and exactly what we can do for specific prompts to improve visibility / AI search performance. Profound has become an integral part of our tech stack.

 ### 3. Very useful for understanding our presence in AI

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Francisco B. | Digital Business Manager, Banking, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

We've been using Profound for a few months and the truth is that it has helped us quite a bit to understand how our brand appears in ChatGPT and other AIs. Before, it was all a bit of a "black box," and now we have much more visibility.

The interface is quite well made and it's not hard to find what you're looking for. What we value the most are the insights on prompts and competitors, because it gives you pretty clear ideas on where to improve. The performance is also good, we've never had any notable problems.

The onboarding was quick and the support team responds quite well when any questions arise. It's not a cheap tool, that must be said, but if you're betting on AI Search, I think it's worth it. There are still things that can be improved, especially some integrations, but overall the experience is being very positive.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

If I had to say something, I would say that the price can be off-putting at first, especially if you are not a large company. There are also some features that take a little time to understand and certain integrations that could be more developed. Nothing serious, but there is still room for improvement in some details.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps us understand how our brand appears on ChatGPT, Gemini, and other AI platforms. Before, we had no idea what these models were saying about us or our competitors. Now we can see what questions users are asking, when we appear in the responses, and where we have opportunities to improve our visibility. In the end, it helps us make more informed decisions and not go somewhat blindly in everything related to AI Search.

 ### 4. A great platform for tracking and boosting AI visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beata S. | Content Writer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like that we can check our visibility on AI platforms as well as when the engines cite the company. I also like that we can see the sentiment of the company on the internet to check what people are saying when they're talking about us. On top of that, I like the writing feature which automatically optimizes the article for AI. It's a great platform for any company which cares about their AI visibility.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Nothing so far. It's a great tool in my opinion.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our company wanted to be able to track our visibility on AI engines, for example how often ChatGPT recommends our product or mentions data from our studies. That's the main functionality we started using Profound for, but once we got the platform, we discovered there are many more useful features and functionalities, like AI writing articles and being able to check our sentiment online.

 ### 5. Topical Tracking with Daily LLM Updates and Rapid Product Improvements

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Georgie K. | SEO + AI Search Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound makes AI visibility tangible. You can track exactly where a brand shows up across AI-powered search experiences, which competitors are appearing, what prompts are driving those results, and which sources are being cited. The topical tracking with daily LLM updates is the standout feature for me, because AI rankings shift fast and you need to know when you've moved, not just where you started. The product iteration pace is also strong. It's not a static reporting tool. It's actually evolving into something that informs real workflow decisions.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

It’s limited to a select number of LLMs. Given how rapidly the LLM landscape and market share are changing, it would benefit from broader visibility across the core LLMs, along with clearer insight into how they differ by model and at the country level.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This new discovery layer helps me understand changes and volatility, which in turn helps kick off wider attribution internally and better understand the impact of the work we’ve shipped.

 ### 6. Clear AI Brand Visibility with Intuitive Dashboards and Actionable Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rishi R. | Account Manager - SEO/GEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I like best about Profound is its ability to provide clear visibility into how AI platforms and search experiences are mentioning and representing our brand. The platform makes it easy to track AI-generated responses across different models, identify trends, and understand where our content is being surfaced.

The dashboards are intuitive and save significant time compared to manually checking multiple AI tools to identify performance. I particularly value the visibility and citations features, which help our team quickly identify opportunities to improve content visibility and measure the impact of our optimization efforts.

One unexpected benefit has been discovering gaps in how AI systems understand our products and messaging. Those insights have helped us refine our content strategy and improve consistency across channels, making Profound an important part of our workflow.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

One area where Profound could improve is the depth of customization available in certain reports and dashboards. While the platform provides valuable insights out of the box, there are times when I'd like more flexibility in how data is segmented and visualized for different stakeholders.

That said, these are relatively minor concerns, and the platform continues to provide significant value for understanding and improving brand visibility across AI-powered search experiences.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We struggled to understand how AI search platforms were interpreting and recommending our brand. Traditional SEO tools provided visibility into search rankings, but they didn't help us understand our presence in AI-generated answers.

Profound gives us that visibility by tracking brand mentions, monitoring AI search performance, and highlighting opportunities to improve our content strategy. We can quickly identify where our brand is underrepresented and take action to improve visibility.

The biggest benefit has been having a clear, data-driven view of our AI search presence. Instead of relying on manual checks and assumptions, we can measure performance, prioritize optimizations, and report on the impact of our efforts with much greater confidence.

 ### 7. Essential AEO Tool with Easy Setup

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevan L. | Co-Founder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I find Profound very helpful for getting us visibility into where our clients rank for particular queries in the LLMs. This information and context are important input for our growth and awareness strategies, and our clients appreciate that we have this kind of tool at our disposal. Plus, it's an edge for us. We have not found a better solution out there for understanding and analyzing this increasingly critical channel. LLMs are a place we see people moving to, in terms of consumer behavior, consideration, and research, and has given us new ways to look at the customer journey and funnel. The setup process was very easy, especially with help from the Profound team to set up the basics up.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Sometimes just getting to know where to find the information we need in the product can be a bit confusing. That gets better over time, the more comfortable we get with the product. Since the data points are new, since AEO as a strategy is new, there's just not a lot of habits built into where to look for certain things and how they're defined, and so it takes a bit of a learning curve to understand where to look for things and what certain terms mean in Profound definitions of them.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Profound very helpful for visibility into where our clients rank for queries in LLMs, which is an important input for our growth and awareness strategies. It helps us understand the customer journey, showing us where we appear in conversations off our owned channels.

 ### 8. Exceptional Tool for Tracking and Strategic Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mehrisa M. | Senior Performance Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I think the customer support and the onboarding was great. The overall experience was really good. The prompt tracking and visibility scoring has been the most useful feature. The citation and share of voice data has also been really valuable for understanding which domain and content pieces are driving our mentions in AI's answers. It's really helped us be able to prioritize where to focus our content and PR efforts. The initial setup was extremely easy, and the platform is extremely feature rich. Despite a ramp-up period, the team was super helpful.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I think one thing that I've noticed internally might be reporting and exporting. Maybe frequency of data updates.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Profound for tracking visibility across LLMs, understanding citation frequency, and share of voice against competitors. It offers prompt-level data, helping in content strategy and PR efforts, especially for paid and organic messaging.

 ### 9. Actionable AI Search Visibility Insights with Powerful Competitor Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ben N. | Account Director - Enterprise, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound gives us valuable visibility into how brands and publishers appear across AI search platforms, which is becoming increasingly important as consumer discovery habits evolve. The insights are clear, easy to understand, and actionable, helping us make more informed decisions around content, partnerships, and overall strategy. The competitor analysis is thorough and enables us to conquest against other brands, rather than focusing only on our own activity.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The biggest challenge is that the industry is still evolving, so it can be hard at times to directly connect AI visibility metrics with commercial performance. That said, Profound is helping to bridge that gap, and the speed of product development has been very encouraging.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is solving the challenge of understanding brand and publisher visibility within AI-generated search experiences, an area that has traditionally lacked transparency. It’s helping us identify which partners are influencing AI responses, uncover new opportunities, and have more strategic conversations with clients about the future of discovery and content. It's also helping us sell the importance of featuring within the LLM data layer with competitor insights. If a brand sees that they're visibility 30% lower than their closest competitor, it creates a sense of urgency and helps with buy-in.

 ### 10. Easy AI Search Visibility Tracking with Deep-Dive Answer Records

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Haley T. | SEO Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

One of Profound’s most valuable functions is its ability to track AI Search visibility, citations, and sentiment. The interface is also easy to navigate, even for beginners. For each prompt you track, you can review the record of every actual AI-generated answer, which is especially helpful when you want to do a deeper dive.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There are two main issues for me. First, the Average Position Rank tracking is often flooded with brands I don’t want to see, either because I don’t consider them direct competitors or because they’re completely undefined assets. For example, I’ll see generic names like “Banks,” “A lenders,” or “Big 5 Banks” show up, rather than an actual brand name.

Second, if you run a business in Canada, the AI-generated answers being tracked might pull results from the US, which can affect how accurately your real performance is reflected. I wish there were a way to filter brands by country, so I could exclude US results and focus only on Canada-specific brands, for example.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is helping brands track their presence on AI search with multiple major platforms in the list. They're also building their agents which help businesses optimize the day-to-day workflows. I've found both performance tracking and agents helpful.

 ### 11. In-Depth Insights and Intuitive UX That Drive Real Strategy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim C. | Owner, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The features are super in-depth for one of these tools and go well beyond helping you optimize for AI search, actually advising you on business and product strategy. Some of the recommendations we've seen for ourselves and clients using Profound have been truly profound and would lead to an improvement in their positioning in the market. I think that's the power of what the team at Profound have built. The UI and UX are pretty good and quite intuitive. We didn't have to use their support or onboarding service because it was straightforward enough to get started. We haven't really used any integrations either. The performance has been very strong. It's not the cheapest tool, but I think if you implement the recommendations, then the ROI would be significant.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The pricing is on the higher side for one of these tools.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps you identify gaps in your AI visibility that might come from a lack of content covering those topics, or it might come from a more fundamental issue with your product, service, or positioning in the market. It also helps you identify publications that you could get your business featured in to improve your visibility amongst readers of that publication, but also the AI tools that use that publication to understand the market.

 ### 12. Excellent design and features for GEO tracking, though pricing feels steep

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan T. | Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 29, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I really like the design, how simple the tool is to use, and the range of features that keep getting released. The product's UI/UX is really cool and easy to use. You get the hang of it very quickly, which is great. I'm impressed and I really like the new Ask feature that lets you pull relevant insights from the different accounts you manage, for example, understanding why visibility has dropped on a specific tool. The AI is really cool on that front.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Here is the translation:

Regarding pricing, it's true that it remains very high, it's one of the most expensive tools on the market. That said, quality comes at a price. But still, it's pretty steep. As for integrations, I get the impression that the API isn't available to everyone, which is a shame because many other tools offer it, and it would really simplify our workflow. I think that's an area for improvement.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps me identify content opportunities to create for my clients, and also to analyze which sources influence the different LLMs, something that changes frequently. It's really valuable.

 ### 13. Staying Ahead of AI Trends with Profound’s Insights, Features, and Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Russell S. | Technical Marketing Operations Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound keeps on the top of the AI trends by giving us the resources to learn about new releases and expectations from different AEO sources, track key words and prompts, and see how we're measuring against competitors.

They are constantly adding new features, updating the Profound UI, and enabling new integrations to support the ever-changing landscape of AI optimization.

Their account management has been incredibly knowledgable, supportive and available to help us identify strategies and key areas to focus on optimizations.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I'd prefer a dedicated account manager to help us guide our roadmap and website strategy a little more reliably.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound gives us clear visibility into our AIO/AEO efforts, so we can understand where our work is most impactful and focus our resources on improving accuracy for the things that matter most to our customers and our brand.

Their tools (like Agents) have been key in helping us quickly generate and optimize content, which has helped push our citation and relevancy scores through the roof.

 ### 14. Invaluable insights for the new era of search

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Igor N. | Technical SEO/AIO Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I really appreciate the depth of the server log integration and the granularity of the crawler analytics. As a technical SEO, traditional tools often leave you blind to how AI engines perceive your site, and Profound changes that by giving us clear visibility into exactly which user-agent bots are crawling our infrastructure and when.

The platform also makes it easy to pinpoint crawl errors that specifically affect AI bots, so we can fix access issues before they impact our brand’s visibility in generative search results.

Beyond the raw data, the UX/UI is highly intuitive, making it easy to parse complex log files and quickly pinpoint crawl errors specifically affecting AI bots. I'm also incredibly impressed by the platform's performance. The interface is snappy and runs seamlessly without any lag, which is no small feat considering the massive volume of pages and daily crawler hits we ingest.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There isn’t much to dislike overall. If I had to point to one area for improvement, it would be the log viewer - it could really benefit from more advanced filtering options.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem Profound addresses is the “black box” of AI search engine visibility. Traditional SEO tools are great for standard keywords, but they provide virtually no insight into how LLMs and answer engines interpret and surface your site. Profound helps close that gap by giving us a clearer, more detailed view into AI performance and crawler behavior.

 ### 15. Strong GEO Insights and Automation, but Needs a Prompt Universe

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dharam J. | Principal Search Marketing Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 26, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

It provides a clear understanding of how content, technical SEO, and brand authority initiatives are influencing GEO visibility, citations, and share of voice. It also simplifies the assessment of overall brand presence relative to competitors, including how performance evolves MoM and YoY. The platform offers strong high-level visual summaries while still enabling deeper drill-down analysis when more granular insights are needed.

Another key strength of Profound is its built-in agentic platform, which helps automate GEO workflows and has significantly reduced the time spent pulling reports, analyzing data, and generating insights.

Additionally, the support team is highly responsive and effective in addressing queries and providing ongoing assistance.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Since Profound is a relatively new-age platform focused on measuring the evolving search landscape, there are still a few capabilities that more established traditional SEO tools offer by default. One such area is the availability and transparency of the underlying prompt universe. The absence of visibility into this dataset can materially limit the level of confidence and trust clients place in Profound’s recommendations and reporting outputs.

Additionally, the platform could further improve its pricing structure and reduce constraints around the number of prompts and supported platforms, which would help make the solution more scalable and flexible for enterprise-level usage.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I work as a performance marketer, and Profound has been instrumental in helping measure the impact of my clients’ efforts to optimize brand presence and drive ROI within the evolving search landscape.

 ### 16. Unmatched AI search visibility - made actionable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aleksandra R. | Head of Growth Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I love the visibility Profound provides us into how we're performing across AI-driven search. The standard SEO tracking tools aren't cutting it. I haven't seen anything as granular as Profound - and with their latest addition of Workflows, it's not just about tracking or recommendations - we can now take actions on those in a much quicker way. Beyond the capabilities of the tool, I highly appreciate the team. The level of responsiveness has been a massive value-add for us, with the Head of Growth himself jumping into calls to talk strategy. Can't recommend Profound enough - looking forward to all the major updates and upcoming features!

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I can not think of anything at this moment.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps us understand how our brand is showing up in AI-driven search. We use it to see when and where our brand is referenced in AI answers, benchmark that presence against competitors, and break performance down by model, region or topic. Those insights then feed directly into how we create and refine content, so we can be more intentional about where we show up and how we target different markets. With the more actionable tools like Workflows, we can take action directly in the platform.

 ### 17. Insightful Dashboards, Effortless Data Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maria G. | Growth Marketing Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I really like Profound's dashboards and data. They make it very easy to digest. I also like a lot their new agent feature, where you can take some of this data and then turn it into actionable insights, such as writing an article based on the gaps it identifies for you. The dashboards we use are mostly for visibility and ranking, helping us understand how we are doing against competitors. I also like the matrix view because it shows on which platforms we're being relevant, and where we're winning against competitors. Plus, the initial setup of Profound was very easy.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Nothing, I like profound as it is and wouldn't change it

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps us analyze our visibility on AI against competitors and understand key customer questions for content creation. I appreciate the easy-to-digest dashboards and the new agent feature for actionable insights.

 ### 18. Clear, Data-Driven Competitive Monitoring With Actionable SEO Priorities

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** GEORGINA R. | Marketing Director, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The competitive monitoring capability stands out the most. Within weeks of onboarding, we had a clear, data-driven picture of exactly where we stood in AI-generated search results across our key degree programs—something we had no visibility into before. The tool doesn’t just show the gap; it explains why it exists and what to fix. For a marketing team managing 14 campuses with limited content resources, that kind of prioritization makes all the difference.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The implementation requires meaningful internal coordination across multiple teams ,web, SEO, and content, which takes time to set up properly. The tool surfaces great recommendations, but acting on them depends entirely on your internal capacity to execute. If your content team is stretched, the gap between insight and action can feel wide. Not a flaw in the product, but something to plan for before you start.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had no idea how AI search engines were representing our institution or if they were at all. When prospective students ask ChatGPT or Gemini about business schools in Mexico, we had zero visibility into what those answers looked like or whether EBC even appeared. Profound solved that blind spot. Now we have a clear baseline, we know exactly where our competitors are showing up and we're not, and we have a prioritized roadmap to close those gaps. For a school competing against much larger budgets, that clarity is a real advantage.

 ### 19. Profound Makes AI Visibility Measurable, Trackable, and Actionable

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Waela F. | Marketing Operations & Programs Lead, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 25, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I like best about Profound is that it makes AI visibility measurable and actionable. You can see where a brand shows up, which competitors are appearing, what prompts matter, and which sources are being cited.

It helps turn AEO from a broad concept into something you can actually track, report on, and improve over time.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I don’t have anything I strongly dislike about Profound. So far, my experience has been positive, and the platform has been extremely useful

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps solve the problem of not knowing how a brand is showing up in AI-generated answers. Instead of relying on manual checks or assumptions, it gives a clearer view of brand visibility, competitor presence, citation share, and the prompts that matter.

This benefits me because it makes AI visibility easier to understand, track, and explain. It also helps me turn insights into more specific content, SEO, and AEO recommendations.

 ### 20. Valuable Platform for Understanding and Improving AI Search Visibility

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick B. | Sr. Director, Acquisition and Growth Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I like best about Profound is that it gives our team actual visibility into how Highspot is showing up across AI-powered search experiences like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Copilot. Instead of guessing how AI models are interpreting our brand and content, we now have actionable insights that help shape our SEO/GEO strategy, content priorities, and authority-building efforts. I also appreciate that the platform continues to evolve quickly beyond reporting into workflow automation and operational insights, which has helped us think more strategically about how AI search will impact demand generation long term.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Because AI search is evolving so quickly, some parts of the platform and integrations still feel early. We ran into challenges integrating certain analytics capabilities into our hosting and caching infrastructure, which limited visibility in a few areas without additional custom work. We’ve also had internal conversations about where Profound fits best strategically, particularly around broader localization workflows versus AI search optimization specifically. That said, the team has been very responsive to feedback, and the pace at which they’re shipping improvements has been impressive.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is helping us solve a problem that most marketing teams are only starting to recognize: traditional SEO visibility is no longer enough as buyer discovery shifts into AI-powered search experiences like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Copilot.

Before Profound, we had very little visibility into how Highspot was appearing inside AI-generated answers, what content was influencing those responses, or how we compared against competitors in AI search environments.

The platform has helped us better understand and operationalize Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) by giving our team actionable insights into AI visibility, citation sources, content performance, and authority signals across major AI search platforms.

That visibility has directly influenced how we approach content strategy, SEO/GEO prioritization, and broader AI search readiness. Since implementing the platform, we’ve seen a significant increase in our overall AI visibility and now track 50+ high-intent keywords across AI search experiences.

More recently, we’ve also started leveraging some of Profound’s newer agentic capabilities to support content optimization recommendations and automate parts of our reporting and insight workflows, helping our team operate more efficiently as this space continues to evolve.

 ### 21. Profound Delivers Powerful LLM Visibility Insights and Automation at Scale

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Matthew N. | Sr. Channel Manager, Organic Search, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound helps us understand how we show up in LLMs and, more importantly, what that message looks like. We use it to track visibility, how often our content is being cited, and which prompts we’re being mentioned for. We also rely on prompt responses at scale to get a clearer picture of how we’re represented in LLMs overall. It’s one thing to be visible; it’s another for that information to be accurate and up to date.

We’ve built workflows around the data Profound provides, both with external AI tools and with Profound’s agents. We coordinate with our PR team on outreach to the domains being cited for the prompts we track, especially when we need to remediate incorrect or outdated information. We’ve also shaped parts of our content strategy around ways to better “train” the models, based on insights we glean from the platform. A lot of that comes from identifying visibility gaps, particularly around our intended market and target audience.

We also use the agent functionality to automate repeatable workflows. One agent we built in Profound reduced our content briefing process from 6+ hours to under 60 seconds, while still maintaining our internal standards.

Functionality continues to be added and the Profound team is shipping updates at a rapid pace. The sheets functionality means we can run agents across many pages at once, so if we need revised headers, FAQs, or some other content we can do so at scale. These features, alongside the prompt tracking, visibility into LLM performance, and deep understanding of our data provide a strong ROI as not only is this a platform that provides analytics, but it also executes work for our team, letting us build and iterate much faster.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The only issue we've had is an occasional lag in page load times. There is a lot of information being pulled into the platform, so every once in awhile I'll head to my dashboard and it'll take a bit longer than usual to display the data.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest is where we show up in LLMs and how we are being represented as a brand. Beyond that, we are able to build agentic workflows that save us time and allow us to take the data, execute on improvements or changes, and track progress, in a much shorter timeframe than we used to and all in the same platform.

 ### 22. Profound Turns AI Insights into Action with Intuitive Reports and Top-Tier Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Richard S. | SEO Marketing Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The main reason I found Profound useful over competitors is that it focuses on action and not just measurement. The amount of data available is far superior, having real numbers for prompts, makes a meaningful difference. The agentic AI actions and integrations make it even more powerful for teams to be able to speed up action taking. The UX is incredibly intuitive and each report has a neat ability to be able to drill deeper into the data. The support team and the onboarding materials are second-to-none. The application loads quickly and is very easy to use. The pricing is fair, considering how quickly the team improves and iterates new features.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The main thing is that it is more expensive than the competition, but ultimately you get what you pay for. The pricing structure can make it tempting to add more topics than you need and ultimately make you less focused as a result, by measuring way more than you are capable to act on.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It fills in data gaps when working on GEO. The ability to have real numbers behind the prompts that people are using. To benchmark and compare against competitors and ultimately to take action on filling the gaps that exist.

 ### 23. Clean, Intuitive UI with Actionable AEO/GEO Optimization Insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sajid M. | Staff UX Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I like best about Profound is its clean and intuitive user interface. The platform is very easy to navigate, which makes it simple to find the information I need without spending time figuring out where things are. I also really appreciate the overall user experience — it feels streamlined and well organized. The most valuable part for me is the insights it provides around opportunities for improving AEO/GEO performance. Instead of just showing data, it helps identify areas that can be optimized and gives actionable direction, which makes it much more useful in day-to-day work.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Nothing specific at the moment. Overall I like profound so far.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is helping us solve the challenge of adapting to the shift from traditional SEO to an AEO-focused approach. Earlier, we were still figuring out AEO and GEO and understanding how they fit into our strategy. Profound helped us move from an SEO mindset to thinking more strategically about answer engine optimization and visibility opportunities. It provides valuable insights and identifies areas for improvement, making it easier to understand where we stand and what actions can help increase visibility. This has given us more clarity, improved our decision-making, and helped us focus efforts on areas that can drive better results.

 ### 24. Clear dashboards, bulk prompts, and very useful customized reports

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marie B. | consultante SEO/GEO, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I particularly appreciated:

the clarity of the dashboards and UX,
the ease of identifying visibility gaps compared to competitors,
the ability to classify prompts by themes and also "tag" prompts according to the desired criteria.
The ability to enter prompts in bulk, a big time saver when you have a large panel.
The custom report creation feature is also very useful in an agency context, especially for structuring client presentations around issues related to AI Search in a clear and actionable manner.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The main obstacle remains the pricing. I could only use the tool for one month because my client could not absorb the annual commitment required afterward. A more flexible offer, suited for occasional audits or agencies working on a project basis, would, in my opinion, make the platform much more accessible.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I used ProFound as part of a GEO audit to analyze a client's visibility in AI response engines.

My goal was to centralize data from multiple LLMs to better understand how my client was mentioned, cited, and perceived in generative search responses.

Getting started was quite easy and quick.

 ### 25. A Powerful Platform for Measuring AI Search Presence

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Davide R. | SEO/AEO director, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like Profound because it helps me understand how AI search engines talk about my brand, what prompts drive visibility, and where opportunities exist to improve AI-generated recommendations. The platform turns AI search from a black box into actionable insights and gives me a practical way to optimize for the future of search.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

What I dislike about Profound is that it can be complex to navigate at first, some metrics aren't always straightforward to translate into actions, and the cost and feature set may be more than smaller teams need. The rapidly changing nature of AI search also means that results can fluctuate, making long-term measurement challenging.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound solves the problem of understanding and measuring brand visibility in AI-powered search and answer engines. Traditional SEO tools show how a website ranks in search results, but they don't explain how AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude, or Perplexity mention, recommend, or cite a brand. Profound gives visibility into those AI-generated responses, helping identify which prompts drive brand mentions, how competitors are represented, and where content gaps exist.

This benefits me by providing actionable insights into how my brand is perceived across AI platforms, allowing me to optimize content and messaging for the channels where more users are discovering information. Instead of guessing how AI systems are representing my brand, I can monitor performance, track changes over time, and make data-driven decisions to improve visibility and market share in AI-driven search experiences.

 ### 26. Must-have for understanding how your brand appears in LLMs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Roberta R. | Outreach Specialist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 22, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The Answer Engine Insights tab gives a clear, fast view of how your content performs across LLMs and drilling into specific prompts takes seconds. Citation Shares shows exactly which external sites get cited and you can see the specific landing pages, prompts, and actual quotes pulled by AI models, which makes for a great rabbit hole of analysis.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Data exports feel clunky, and the chart in the Visibility tab seems pretty limited. I’d really like more flexibility there, especially around date ranges and comparisons as well as the ability to zoom out and get a bigger-picture view.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can track visibility across specific topics, see how our content performs across LLMs, and understand what it takes to get cited. That turns directly into action: it informs our outreach strategy by highlighting which external sites AI models actually pull from, and it helps prioritize the topics where we still have room to grow. Less guessing, more doing.

 ### 27. Feature-Rich for Enterprise, Pricey for Small Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maddy F. | SEO Content Strategist & Founder, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I really like Profound for how it solves the problem of connecting data with prompts, which is something other AI visibility tools don't offer. Profound helps come up with the prompts, while in others, you have to figure them out yourself. It offers unique features that are super useful, like tracking your most cited pages and integrating automations with data directly, saving us from complicated technical setups. Additionally, Profound serves as an all-in-one tool, enhanced by its workflow creation tool that adds significant usefulness to our processes. The Profound team is also great, being very much on top of testing theories and providing data-backed explanations. They're very forthcoming and share their findings on a shared company Slack channel, discussing new updates and the relevance with our team regularly. They’re incredibly personable, responsive, and available for strategy discussions, adding value with their expertise.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I think the only thing about Profound that might give people pause, it's a great tool. It has great data, and I think what comes with having access to that great data and those fancy features is an enterprise price tag. But it's a little bit out of reach for the smaller operators.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound helps develop prompts, saving time and connecting dots. It tracks cited pages and integrates automations with data, enriching my workflow efficiency.

 ### 28. Intuitive, Insight-Rich Platform with Responsive Support and Actionable Recommendations

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** CARLOS P. | Dir Marketing & Business Development, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What we value most about Profound is the strategic partnership and the depth of insights the platform provides. Profound has helped EBC better understand market perception, optimize decision-making, and identify opportunities to strengthen our positioning in the higher education sector. The platform is intuitive, the support team is highly responsive, and the recommendations are actionable and data-driven, making it a valuable tool for both marketing and growth strategy.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

One area for improvement is the depth and customization of reporting in certain views, especially when managing multiple campaigns or stakeholders with different needs. While the platform is very strong strategically, there are moments where more flexibility in dashboards, exports, and benchmarking would make analysis even more efficient. Additionally, some advanced insights require a learning curve for new users, but overall the value provided outweighs these challenges. One of the main challenges with Profound is justifying the pricing relative to the measurable ROI, especially in environments where marketing budgets are closely scrutinized. While the platform provides valuable strategic insights, it can sometimes be difficult to directly attribute outcomes such as enrollment growth or conversion improvements specifically to the platform’s impact. For organizations managing multiple priorities and investments, stronger ROI visibility, clearer performance attribution, and more flexible pricing models would make the value proposition even stronger.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

What follows is:

1. Execute the priority content recommendations in the already analyzed courses: curriculum in HTML, structured FAQs, and published employability data.
2. Extend the analysis to all EBC courses with the same model.
3. Activate YouTube and TikTok agents to monitor content trends on those platforms and feed the production strategy.
4. Measure share of voice monthly to report evolution.

The opportunity we have is that EBC starts from 0% share of voice in generative AI in the analyzed courses. Any well-executed action generates measurable growth. Today we are not competing on equal terms, but the identified gaps are all actionable.

 ### 29. Actionable Citation Insights with an Intuitive, Self-Serve Dashboard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesus R. | Marketing Web Developer/Drupal Developer/Front-End Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

After about nine months using Profound, the citation and source analysis is what I keep coming back to. Being able to see exactly which URLs and domains AI engines are pulling from when our brand (or our category) comes up has changed how we think about content and PR priorities, and it's much more actionable than just tracking mention rates in isolation. The UI deserves a real call-out here. The dashboard makes it easy to slice citation data by provider, competitor, or time range without needing to export everything to a spreadsheet, and the filters are intuitive enough that other people on my team can self-serve answers instead of routing everything through me. The breakdown of citation share over time, and the ability to dig into which sources are driving visibility for competitors vs. us, has helped us identify earned-media and partnership opportunities we wouldn't have spotted otherwise.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Honestly, no major complaints. The one area I'd flag is around onboarding and ongoing enablement. We came on as an early customer, before a lot of the current AI features and agent capabilities had rolled out, and as new functionality has shipped, I've sometimes felt like we're discovering it on our own rather than being walked through it. A bit more proactive training or structured walkthroughs when major features launch, especially for existing customers, would help us get value from new releases faster instead of catching up to them later. It's a relatively small gripe given how quickly the product has evolved, but it's the one thing I'd want to see improve.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is addressing the core challenge of measuring our brand presence in AI-generated answers, a channel we previously had little to no real visibility into. We use it to understand how often our brand appears and in what context across the major AI engines, to track which sources and URLs those engines cite when answering questions in our category, and to benchmark our share of voice against competitors. The biggest benefit has been having real data where we used to rely on guesswork. AI search was becoming an increasingly important discovery channel for our buyers, but we didn’t have a way to quantify it or discuss it internally with much confidence. Profound has given us a defensible measurement layer, which has changed both how we prioritize content and PR investment and how we report on the channel to leadership.

 ### 30. User-Friendly Prompt Tracking Across LLMs with Powerful AI and Stellar Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan F. | Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

It's ability to track prompts across LLMs to give us an understanding of our citations, visibility and market share across our competitors. I also love its AI capabilities as it helps speed up the process on creating content to optimize towards our tracked prompts. Their support and account team has been such a huge help, providing us guidance on strategy and identifying new ways within the product to streamline process or access data. The product is easy to use and very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

It would be helpful if we could see the volume of some of our tracked prompts or recommendations on non-tracked prompts to focus on. The topic / prompt level is a little confusing and required some critical thinking to organize this correctly.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is helping us gain visibility into where we appear in LLMs for our branded prompts, and where we appear for additional industry related prompts. It's also helping us improve our positioning within these prompts, which is especially valuable when monitoring competitors to ensure our product is recommended more oftenly.

 ### 31. Profound Supercharged Our Search Channel

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kathleen F. | Director of Content Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I love the prompt tracking in Profound because it allows us to see the direct impact of our LLM efforts clearly and understand what LLMs are saying about our most important prompts. This helps us to know when to refresh our content to maintain visibility. I also appreciate that Profound is evolving constantly with new betas being added regularly, making it an industry leader and incredibly valuable for leveling up our content in the AI era. The workflow features look promising, and I can't wait to see what they can do for our content program. Their onboarding process was great, and I feel far less despair about being an SEO professional now. Profound is the real deal!

Profound is also very reasonably priced considering other options on the market require an upfront, year-long $100k commitment.

I came back to update this post because I recently went through Profound University. It was a total game changer. Profound was very useful before they released this 101 content, but when I first started using Profound, it kind of felt like a luxury car that was amazing to drive but had a few buttons and switches you didn't know what to do with. After going through Profound University, I feel like we're utilizing Profounds full potential. And we've used it to achieve AEO leadership in our industry.

Our onboarding and account manager have also been very helpful and prompt every time we have a question or request a meeting.

Our AEO citations and traffic have surged over 250% in the last few months and the conversions have followed. We couldn't be happier with our subscription.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I was overwhelmed by the platform's potential before I went through the Profound University 101 content. Now I feel like I'm optimizing Profound to the fullest.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound provides insights into LLM narratives about us, boosting our presence and LLM success. It has helped us understand how to rank and maintain our rankings in this new search age. Prompt tracking clarifies our impact and helps refresh content, maintaining visibility. It keeps us less worried about SEO, adding value with competitive new AI tools.

 ### 32. Profound Brings Clarity to GEO/AEO Visibility Across LLMs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raveesh M. | Demand Gen, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound helped me gain clarity on how our brand is showing up in GEO/AEO/LLMs (there are a dozen names for it). It pulls in data from most LLMs, which makes it easier to understand what’s being surfaced and where.

It’s also really helpful to see how we compare against competitors. The best part is being able to act on the gaps directly within Profound. It suggests what content to write, which can improve our ranking/visibility, where to get backlinks from and so on.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Nothing significant to note at this point.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It helps make something complex very easy to measure, which is where we do we stand when people ask AI something relevant to what we do.

It regularly monitors how are we doing over time and also make it really easy to improve our metrics with content suggestions and automations.

We reported change in our AI visibility this last quarter and seeing AI search drive leads for our business.

 ### 33. Intuitive Platform with Outstanding Support and Onboarding

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Graciela O. | Studio Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I appreciate most about Profound is how intuitive the platform feels once you’ve had a little time to get comfortable with it. As someone who’s still relatively new to AI tools, I did run into an initial learning curve, but our account representative has been incredibly supportive the whole way—quickly answering questions, addressing concerns, and making the onboarding process much smoother.

From a workflow standpoint, once I had a stronger grasp of the platform, I was able to adjust and refine existing agents so they better matched our specific business needs. After that, I joined Profound’s Pod 8 program, which really took my understanding to the next level. Through the pod, I learned how to build agents from scratch, and that has opened up even bigger opportunities to use Profound in a more meaningful and impactful way in my day-to-day work.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I wouldn’t say I have any strong dislikes about Profound. Most of the challenges I’ve run into feel more personal than platform-related. Since I’m still building my understanding of AI tools, my biggest frustration has been getting the AI assistant to produce the exact output I’m looking for. That said, I recognize this is less an issue with the platform itself and more about me continuing to learn how to write effective prompts and guide the assistant toward better results. As my prompt-writing improves, I expect this to become less of a challenge over time.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound has been instrumental in helping me identify and prioritize content that needs attention. In particular, it helps me pinpoint blogs with low citation scores so I can focus my optimization efforts where they’ll have the most impact on LLM visibility. It has also streamlined the process of refreshing existing blogs that need updates, so they better align with AI search standards.

I’ve also been using Profound to spot articles where competitor products or topics are being cited. That makes it easier to reach out to those publications and suggest relevant REP Fitness blogs or products for inclusion. This has directly supported our link-building and citation strategy in a way that would have been very time-consuming to do manually.

 ### 34. Robust and easy-to-use platform for AIO/GEO metrics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lauren T. | Social Media Analyst, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

AIO/GEO is developing quickly and evolving fast. We tested a number of tools and found that Profound offers a robust, easy-to-use platform. Because these metrics are still new, they can be confusing at times, but Profound was the easiest for SEO teams to follow and understand.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There’s really nothing to dislike, per se, aside from customer service—while thorough, it can feel less high-touch than some others. I think the Profound team is great; they just seem a bit spread thin at times. The upside is that the platform is easy enough to use that you don’t need as much high-touch support. Ultimately not a criticism, just a comment.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The SEO world is changing quickly, especially with the rise of AI chatbots and agentic services. Our teams needed a clear way to make sure our business’s offerings continue to show up in these newly defined spaces. Allowing our growth and web teams to utilize AI for showing up within AI.

 ### 35. Responsive Team, Intuitive UI, and Fast Feature Releases

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kyle P. | Manager, Design Strategy, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

In general, the responsiveness of Profound when discussing unique requirements, integrations, capabilities, etc. Related, a fast and consistent release of new features.
Intuitive UI/UX is easy to navigate, platform speed as I am rarely waiting for anything to load/be generated, and support has been exceptional.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Pricing. With the AEO/GEO space being relatively new, it is difficult to calculate ROI. Although trending up, we are seeing relatively low LLM traffic at the moment.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

1. How are we showing up to LLMs? What is our visibility, and how desirable are we as a retailer? Answering these questions helps us understand what’s working today and what needs to improve.

2. What can we do to improve how we show up to LLMs (i.e., how do we turn insights into action)? As stated earlier, it is a relatively new space and knowing how we show up isn't good enough. It is critical that these insights are turned into action plans.

 ### 36. Sleek, Intuitive Platform That Boosted Our Visibility Fast

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Oryna S. | PR specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like that we can track progress, or the lack of it, across different keywords and themes. It also helps us understand which actions to take to improve visibility and sentiment. The UX is intuitive, and the platform looks sleek. We didn’t run into any issues integrating the features available on our plan, and we haven’t had any performance problems either. When we change the timeframe, the data updates instantly.

Onboarding was easy, and the team was attentive to our questions throughout. It’s definitely worth the price: after a month of consistent work, we improved our visibility beyond that of the competitors we’re also tracking. My colleague also likes their AI agents a lot.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

There are a lot of tabs on their platform, which isn’t a bad thing in itself, because it provides an exhaustive coverage of all aspects. But from time to time, it can make it a little harder to find a specific piece of information. That said, it’s a really minor issue overall.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It removes uncertainty from the GEO optimization process by giving a clear overview of the current situation and outlining the actions to take to improve it.

 ### 37. Clear, Scalable AI Search Visibility Insights with Profound

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gabriela M. | AVP Digital Analytics and Activation, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Our experience with Profound highlighted the value of clear, scalable measurement for AI‑driven search visibility. The platform helped us understand how our brand shows up across major generative engines, turning AI discovery from an opaque concept into something measurable and actionable.

A key differentiator was Profound’s out‑of‑the‑box agentic capabilities, which accelerated insight generation and content optimization without requiring heavy custom development. These built‑in workflows supported a rapid optimization cycle, enabling teams to quickly test, learn, and ship improvements across categories at scale.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Profound is a powerful platform, but it comes with a learning curve for teams that are new to AI-specific metrics and GEO concepts. Because the generative search space is evolving so quickly, some standards are still maturing and can feel a bit unsettled at times. Even so, the pace of innovation and the quality of support help balance that out as teams ramp up and get comfortable with the approach.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound is addressing the problem of AI search opacity by helping us understand how, where, and in what context our brand shows up in generative answers across major AI platforms. That added visibility lets us track citation presence, competitive share of voice, and content gaps that traditional SEO tools simply don’t capture. The biggest benefit for us has been faster, more confident optimisation cycles, supported by built-in agentic workflows that help the team move from insight to action quickly and at scale, while still keeping pace with the rapid innovation happening in generative search.

 ### 38. Profound Delivers Fast, Clear Answer Engine Insights for a Strong Content Improvement Loop

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kimberly P. | Senior Manager, Content Strategy, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

As a B2B SaaS content manager, Profound gives me daily feedback and insights on how my content is performing with answer engines. I can see AI bot activity, AI referral visits, and where our company ranks across core topics and against competitors. I've never had access to this kind of data so clearly and so fast. Plus, based on Profound's recommendations, I can immediately update and publish content, optimized for answer engines. It's an amazing improvement loop.

My favorite feature is "Ask". I'm still learning the platform so if I don't understand something, the Ask chat is very helpful.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The tool can be a little buggy. Sometimes I have to logout and log back into the platform to get items on the menu to work properly. So far, the "Opportunities" feature has not offered relevant suggestions.

 ### 39. Intuitive, Reliable, and a Huge Time-Saver

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** sunny d. | Web Application Developer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I like best about Profound is its ease of use and how efficiently it helps streamline workflows. The platform is intuitive, reliable, and saves time, while the support team is responsive and helpful when needed.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Very little to dislike — overall, my experience with Profound has been extremely positive.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound AI is solving a new but important problem in the AI era: brands no longer appear mainly in traditional search results—they appear inside AI-generated answers. The challenge is that companies often have little visibility or control over how they are described, whether the information is accurate, or how often they are mentioned across different AI systems.

For me, this is beneficial because it provides clear insight into how a brand is being represented in AI responses, which helps identify gaps, improve messaging, and strengthen overall visibility. It essentially turns something that used to be invisible into actionable data, making it easier to make informed decisions and stay aligned with how users are actually discovering information today.

 ### 40. Clean, Reliable AI Search Visibility Insights for Brands and SEO Teams

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mateo V. | Operations Support Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

Profound does something genuinely useful: it tells you how AI platforms like ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini talk about your brand or your clients' brands. For anyone doing SEO or content work, that visibility is becoming table stakes.
The UI is clean and intuitive. It doesn't take long to find what you're looking for, and the dashboards make it easy to spot trends without digging through raw data.
On integrations, it's still growing. Exporting data into other reporting tools takes some manual work, and connecting it to platforms like Whatagraph isn't seamless yet. That said, the data it produces is solid enough that the extra effort is usually worth it.
Performance is reliable. Queries run quickly and the sentiment and citation tracking feel accurate and consistent.
Pricing is on the higher end, but if you're managing multiple brands or clients, the ROI case is easy to make. For a single small brand, it might be harder to justify.
Support has been responsive and the onboarding is straightforward. You're not left figuring it out alone.
Overall, it's one of the more mature tools in the GEO space right now. If AI search visibility is part of your reporting or strategy, Profound earns its place in the stack.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The main friction point is integrations. Getting data out of Profound and into external reporting tools still requires more manual effort than it should. Native connectors to platforms like Whatagraph or Google Looker Studio would go a long way.
Pricing can also be a stretch for smaller teams or single brand use cases. The value is there, but the cost structure is better suited for agencies or larger operations.
Those are minor gripes for a tool that is still relatively new in a space that is evolving fast. More of a wishlist than a dealbreaker.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The core problem Profound solves is visibility into how AI platforms actually talk about your brand. As more users turn to ChatGPT, Perplexity, and Gemini for recommendations instead of Google, traditional SEO metrics stop telling the full story. Profound fills that gap.
For us, the benefit is concrete. We can show clients where they stand in AI generated responses, track sentiment over time, and tie content and optimization work to real movement in how the brand is being represented. That kind of reporting did not exist in a clean, packaged way before.
It has also pushed our strategy conversations forward. Instead of just talking about rankings and traffic, we can talk about brand authority in AI search, which is where client attention is increasingly going anyway.

 ### 41. Powerful, Fast, and Actionable Insights from Natural-Language Analysis

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Hannah R. | Senior Product Marketing Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like that I can ask it questions in natural language. So far, it’s been pretty easy to use. The performance has been strong, and it analyzed large data sets quickly while keeping the insights succinct. It doesn’t just answer what I ask; it goes a step further and surfaces things I didn’t even realize I wanted to know. Overall, I think it’s very powerful, and we’re already making changes to our strategy and website based on its analysis. It integrates with everything we need, and onboarding has been straightforward so far. I also feel like we’re getting our money’s worth.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

I'm not sure, I'm still getting used to it!

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We need to understand what content shows up well in LLMs and what doesn't so that way we can change what we produce. We also didn't have visibility on how we were showing up compared to our competitors. This surfaces their tactics super quickly and gives a way more complete picture of how we show up in the market.

 ### 42. Pivotal in Understanding Brand Accuracy and Citations in LLMs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jacob P. | SEO Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like being able to see how our brand is performing with answer engines like ChatGPT, Claude, and Google AIO. It's very helpful to know since measurement is much trickier than with traditional SEO. Being able to see if we're mentioned in queries that matter to our brand as well as see what LLMs are saying about us is hugely important.

There is a lot of depth here and it allows us to slice and dice the data in many different ways. Also, being able to export almost every dataset is a huge +1 for me.

Their team is also very helpful and is always willing to show us how to utilize new and upcoming tools, They feel much more like a partner than a traditional vendor.

I also feel that they're constantly moving the ball down the court with AI workflows within the platform. The agent builder is a familiar canvas style setup, but the platform also allows built-in nodes to do everything you could ever want. The more context I can give an LLM the better and these account for that nicely.

The ability to integrate these into a table format has been intuitive for me. This is a great way to utilize AI at scale, while still keeping a human in the loop. I can simply place my agent in the table with the required fields and run the agent for up to 100 rows at a time.

Overall, I think this is one of the best platforms for AEO out there right now and I enjoy using it.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

This is likely subjective, but it took me quite a while to really grasp how their tool could fit into/expand existing SEO workflows. I totally understand positioning the platform something separate from traditional SEO, but it might be interesting to explore the positioning of the tools and how they compare and contrast from familiar practices.

This is more of a "nice to have" rather than a dislike, but most of the data seems deeply coupled to tracked prompts. Basically, if you happen to miss out on important prompts there is no way to have visibility into those. Which would be fine except that there isn't a super rock solid way to do prompt research currently. I'd love to have more visibility into general trends, themes, and data that I could pull. The prompt research is being released and I am hoping this will solve for this, but as a general experience I've felt a little bit less confident that I'm getting a good sample of all available themes and have had to augment with data from other tools to generate good prompts.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have real visibility into not only the kinds of prompts that users search, but also how each popular AI model interprets and understands our brand. Knowing where AI gets those answers allows us to account for that.

This alone makes the tool so valuable.

 ### 43. A Category-Defining Tool for LLM Analytics

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Graham H. | Senior Director, Marketing & Distribution, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The Profound team is responsive, transparent about methodology, and treats us like a partner rather than just a customer. The platform is intuitive enough that editorial leads (not just analytics folks) can pull insights and act on them directly. Being able to benchmark share-of-voice against competitors inside LLM answers is something we couldn't measure at all before.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Honestly, most of what I'd flag is less about Profound itself and more about the early-stage nature of the LLM measurement category as a whole. The space is moving incredibly fast, and there are areas where the tooling is still catching up to where we'd like it to be - things like deeper historical trend data, more granular filtering, etc. The other piece is the learning curve. Because LLM analytics is so new, there's real onboarding work involved in getting a full team fluent in what the metrics mean and how to act on them.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem Profound solves for us is the visibility gap in AI search. Before Profound, LLM presence was essentially a black box, we knew users were increasingly turning to ChatGPT, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews to make decisions, but we couldn't see what they were asking, how our brands were showing up in the answers, or what content was earning citations. Now Profound has turned that black box into a measurable, optimizable channel, whch has become a meaningful competitive differentiator - being able to show partners exactly what's happening inside LLMs, with data to back it, is something most publishers can't currently offer.

 ### 44. Powerful AI visibility insights and prioritisation—still needs expertise and cleaner citation data

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Parinaaz S. | Digital Marketing Lead UK & Ireland, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

What I value most about Profound is that it turns AI search from something abstract into something actionable. It doesn’t just show where Knorr appears in LLM answers — it helps us understand why we appear (or don’t), and what specific actions will move the needle.
The biggest strength is how Profound allows us to break visibility down prompt by prompt, diagnose the real gap (authority, structure, narrative, or category framing), and then prioritise quick wins versus longer‑term bets. This made it possible to identify “jewel wins”, where one content or structural fix unlocks multiple prompts at once — which is critical in a resource‑constrained environment.
I also really like that Profound bridges measurement and execution. The Content Creator is especially useful for drafting LLM‑ready explanations and stress‑testing whether content actually answers the prompts we’re targeting, before investing heavily in full production. Used this way, it accelerates progress while still leaving brand, claims and tone decisions with the team.
Overall, Profound gave us a clear, confident way to prioritise, explain decisions to stakeholders, and move faster on AI visibility with focus rather than guesswork.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

he main limitation with Profound today is that it still requires a fair amount of interpretation and expertise to turn insights into action. The platform surfaces excellent prompt‑level data, but newer users may struggle to distinguish incidental visibility from true opportunity without guidance. It’s powerful, but not yet fully self‑explanatory.
Citation data can also be inconsistent or glitchy at times, which means teams need to rely more on qualitative citation review than the aggregated metrics. While this is manageable, it does add manual effort and can slow decision‑making if teams expect the dashboard to provide a single definitive answer.
Finally, the Content Creator is most effective as a drafting and testing accelerator, not a complete content solution. It still needs strong brand, claims and tone‑of‑voice oversight, which means teams must be clear on how to integrate it into existing workflows rather than expecting a push‑button outcome.
Overall, Profound is extremely strong for analysis and prioritisation, but it works best when paired with clear strategic thinking and internal ownership of execution.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound solves the problem of not knowing where or why a brand wins or loses visibility in LLM‑driven answers. Before using it, AI search felt opaque — we could see outputs in tools like ChatGPT, but we couldn’t systematically identify the gaps behind those answers or prioritise what to fix first.
What Profound does well is break this down prompt by prompt and surface the specific reason for underperformance — whether it’s an authority gap, content structure gap, narrative gap, category mis‑framing, or purchase‑path issue. That clarity allowed us to move away from generic content creation and instead map a focused strategy to fill those gaps.
The biggest benefit has been efficiency. By analysing prompts across topics, Profound helped us identify “jewel wins”, where one action (for example, strengthening owned explanatory content, clarifying category language, or consolidating purchase pathways) unlocks multiple prompts at once. This made it much easier to prioritise workstreams and be realistic about what we could improve quickly versus what required longer‑term brand repositioning.
Overall, Profound enabled us to design a strategy that is LLM‑efficient: creating content and signals that directly answer how AI systems reason, rather than guessing or over‑producing content. It turned AI visibility from a reactive exercise into a structured, defensible plan that we could clearly explain and align on with the Knorr team.

 ### 45. Structured Insights Into How AI Engines Talk About My Clients

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy B. | SEO Strategist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The biggest win for me is being able to actually see how AI engines are talking about my clients, not by spot-checking prompts manually or guessing from vibes, but with structured, repeatable data. Profound pulls back the curtain on ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and Google AI Overviews in a way nothing else I've tried really does.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The biggest downfall for me is the lack of local and state-level granularity. I can see how AI engines are talking about a brand at a national or general level, but when I need to understand how a brand shows up in a specific region or state, which matters a lot for clients with local footprints, there's no real way to slice the data that way. That's a gap I'd love to see closed.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's solving the AI search visibility black box. Before Profound, I could tell clients AI search mattered, but I couldn't quantify their position or prove progress. Now I can show clients exactly how they appear in AI-generated answers, where they're losing ground to competitors, and where content effort will move the needle. Conversations about AEO/GEO investment have gone from speculative to grounded, which makes the work a lot easier to champion internally on their side.

 ### 46. Clear AI metrics to strengthen your brand's presence

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Giovanna G. | Analista de Conteúdo, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

One of the things I like most about Profound is that it helps to understand something that is usually very difficult to measure: how your brand appears in the responses of AI tools. It is useful for identifying which brands are being mentioned most by AIs, in which topics they appear, and where there are opportunities to gain more space. This greatly facilitates the definition of content strategies and the prioritization of what makes the most sense to work on.

Another positive point is that the platform gathers a lot of data that would be difficult and time-consuming to collect manually. For those working with GEO or trying to understand the impact of AI on brand discovery, this represents a good time saving and makes the analysis much more practical.

For daily use, I consider the interface good; I can understand where the components I need are and easily reach the final information.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

As it is still a very new category, some metrics and methodologies require initial learning to be interpreted correctly. Teams that have never worked with GEO or AI monitoring may need an adaptation period to extract the maximum value from the platform.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound resolves the challenge of measuring and tracking brand visibility in AI tools. It helps me understand how the brand is being mentioned, which competitors are gaining ground, and where there are opportunities for growth. With this, I can generate valuable insights for GEO, SEO, and content strategies, as well as significantly reduce the time spent on manual analyses. I can also track the performance of the brand's interactions on Reddit and check if they are being used as references by AI tools.

 ### 47. Fast, Insightful Dashboard with Solid Support and Competitive Analytics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Grant N. | Director, Performance Marketing, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

The product experience is good. The initial dashboard page provides a real-time summary of rank changes and competitive positioning using generative ai, which makes it easy to quickly grasp how optimization efforts are progressing. The overall layout of the dashboard is logical and easy to use. The analytics data loads quickly and it is easy to compare performance against competitors. The platform integrates with google analytics for richer insights into the overall impact of AEO and additional site tagging provides visibility into frequency of site crawls by LLMs. The support from the profound team is also solid, with the team readily available through a dedicated slack channel.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

Some of the product features that our team has been looking forward to leveraging, especially those related to content generation, have been slower to roll out than we were initially led to believe.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

LLMs don't provide data to brands reporting the frequency their models have referenced their products in chat sessions. Profound is helping us gain insight into how LLMs are framing our products and services and identifying opportunities to improve AEO performance.

 ### 48. Answer Engine Insights Makes Prompt Visibility and Sentiment Actionable

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Max B. | SEO Coordinator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I think the 'Answer Engine Insights' section is most helpful. I particularly find the Prompts, Query Fanouts, Sentiment, and Citation sections super valuable.

Within the "prompts" section, you are able to see a brand's visibility across several hundred prompts, you get metrics such as 'visibility rank', 'visibility score' (which is on a scale of 1-100%), share of voice, etc. This has been really helpful for crafting targeted content optimizations such as key takeaways, FAQs, and so on.

Within the 'Sentiment' section. You can identify common pain points for customers or users. This allows you to help a brand craft content around resolving these issues, address common concerns within their website or app content and respond directly to poor reviews mentioning these negative items.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The "Agents" section is undoubtedly valuable. But it is not user-friendly. I think clear direction on how to set Agents up, with a step-by-step process would be incredibly helpful and allow people to get the most out of it.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping to improve AEO/AI SEO visibility. You get a better understanding of a brand's presence across Google's AI Overviews, LLMs such as ChatGPT, Gemini, Grok, etc. It allows you to measure performance across LLMs and see what strengths and weaknesses you have. You can then assess how different LLMs parse and present data, content, etc. and get a sense of what each LLM values and how they integrate website content and data into their prompt answers.

 ### 49. Great AI Search Tracking Tool, Intuitive Interface, Exceptional Educational Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Charlie M. | CEO, Marketing and Advertising, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I like Profound's interface and their marketing efforts, especially how they try to educate their customers through initiatives like Profound University. I find their tool really clear and useful. The interface is valuable to us because we're able to use the information within it for reporting and in conversations with our clients, showing how their websites are performing in AI search visibility in ChatGPT answers and other AI platforms. Also, Profound provides interesting and useful first-party data about what's happening in AI search, which helps inform our AI search and SEO marketing strategies for clients.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

They have recently launched AI agents, and I have found that they sometimes work well, but sometimes could be improved or are not working as smoothly as they intend. I know they are working to continue developing these, which is exciting!

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Profound tracks AI search visibility across platforms like ChatGPT, helping us report and discuss website performance with clients. Their educational efforts provide valuable first-party data, aiding our AI search and SEO strategies.

 ### 50. Keeps Our Clients Ahead with AEO Tech and Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jimmy P. | VP, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Profound?**

I use Profound to track multiple clients for visibility and citations against competitors, and it helps me accurately poll various platforms on those metrics and understand the differences between platforms. Profound provides a tool that I can trust for visibility and citation information. They stay up to date on various AEO changes within the industry and make frequent updates to their tools, sharing this information in release notes, events, and articles. As an agency, I have direct access to people inside Profound via email or Slack, which allows me to get answers quickly when I have any questions. Profound also provides guidance on workarounds in their knowledge area, which has been helpful. The initial setup is straightforward and our clients get value out of the insights within days.

**What do you dislike about Profound?**

The aspect I would like to see improvement is in Shopify analytics data, but I think this is more of a Shopify limitation than Profound as all other tools have this issue as well. I am hoping that with Profound leading the industry here, that they will be able to exert more influence on getting better data out of Shopify. They have provided guidance on workarounds in their knowledge area, which has been helpful.

**What problems is Profound solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Profound to track multiple clients for visibility and citations against competitors. It helps me accurately poll various platforms on those metrics and understand the differences between platforms.
