"Profound Boosted Our AIO Citation Share with Scalable YouTube SEO Workflows"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

I love Profound!

In terms of strategy looking at Citation Shares in AIO we have identified a new strategy: an SEO YouTube strategy. As a result of the use of Profound to identify new strategy we have secured a +1.5% increase in Citation Share in AI Overviews (AIO) and a +0.3% increase in LLM citations via YouTube.

Thanks to the Profound University training courses and to the constant contact and availability of the Profound team as well as their webinar we have learned to create agents and use them at scale to minimize the time spent for manual work. For example I have used the agents to create a workflow to pull from prompts relevant topics and from the topics to create the YouTube title and scripts. Thanks to the Sheet function I have used the agent at scale generating in bulk a full 3 months topics and scripts for YouTube videos saving hours of time and back and forth messages.

Since the tools is easy to use the content team is also using it to add our You Tube videos and to check the prompts and answers, serving as a tool that enables the content team to be more autonomous.

Overall the several layers and uses of the Profound tool makes it ideal for any marketers profile from the easier case of use to the more technical refined agent creation and the large amount of videos on how to use really makes the difference in taking full advantage of Profound. What do you dislike about Profound?

Overall Profound platform is great, however there are few improvements for instance if you work for thew same company but with several multi country domains having in the settings the tracking for only one domain is a bit misleading. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Profound is a high-performance, all-in-one platform that effectively addresses both GEO and AEO in a fast-evolving digital environment.

Since implementation, we’ve significantly improved our ability to monitor brand visibility at a global scale and can now seamlessly track more than 5 million product references from our e-commerce ecosystem through Answer Engine Insights in all the active GPTs that our customers.

From a performance standpoint, Profound delivers clear and measurable impact. It significantly enhances brand visibility, accelerates time-to-execution, and provides actionable insights that directly support the optimization of e-commerce content. The platform offers data-driven visibility into which types of AI agents interact with our website and how to optimize for them, enabling us to better align our content with AI-driven discovery.

The user interface is another key strength, intuitive, well-structured, and easy to navigate, making it simple for teams to access and act on insights. This usability is reinforced by high-quality training sessions, where Profound introduces the forward-thinking concept of “marketing engineering,” empowering teams to fully leverage the platform’s capabilities.

While the pricing is on the higher end, the value delivered justifies the investment. Profound stands out as one of the most advanced and impactful platforms currently available on the market.

Overall, Profound represents a new generation of performance-driven technology, enabling businesses to better understand AI ecosystems and how GPT-based engines interact with online content—making it an essential solution for any organization looking to stay competitive. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

While the platform can represent a significant investment, especially for large organizations managing extensive product catalogs, the cost reflects the level of quality, innovation, and performance it delivers. For businesses operating at scale, the value ultimately justifies the investment. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Vital for Tracking AI Visibility"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

I love the straightforward interface of Profound, which makes it easy to set up and track AI visibility, even for those not familiar with it. I find the actionable insights extremely valuable for planning work with AI visibility in mind. Profound University is fantastic, offering very useful knowledge on GEO, AI search, and the Profound tool itself. I'd recommend it to both new and experienced users. I'm also appreciative of the sentiment tracking, visibility ranking by topic, and content generation features. The setup process was quite easy, with demo calls and support from the Profound team. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

I would appreciate the process of prompt creation to be more guided: the prompts automatically suggested by Profound were quite far from our brand and functionality, and when writing everything from scratch, I struggled sometimes to understand if I'm doing it right. Profound offers articles on that topic on their blog, but I'd love some more support with this in the tool. It's super important because if the prompts are set up incorrectly (and they were originally when we had them just auto-generated by Profound), nothing else can work right. "Profound Makes AI Search Visibility Measurable with Powerful Prompt Tracking"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

Before Profound, we had no way to measure how our brand was showing up in AI-generated answers across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini, and others — it was a total black box. The prompt tracking dashboards changed that completely. I can now see exactly which queries surface our brand, how we're positioned relative to competitors, and how that's trending over time. The Conversation Explorer is a standout feature — being able to browse real prompt data and understand what users are actually asking LLMs helps us prioritize content efforts with real signal instead of guesswork. It's also made reporting to leadership way easier since I can now put hard numbers behind AI search visibility, which used to be impossible to quantify. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

The learning curve in the first couple of weeks was a bit steep — there are a lot of features and it took some time to figure out which dashboards and views mattered most for our use case. It would also be nice to have more flexibility in how you can customize and export reports. Neither of these are dealbreakers though. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The backbone of how we run AEO and organic social"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

Profound is the backbone of how we run our AEO and organic social strategy. We use it to identify the citation source gaps where competitors are getting cited on Reddit, YouTube, and comparison sites and we aren't, which directly informs where we invest community engagement and disclosed employee program effort. The prompt-level competitor visibility data drives our content roadmap. We can see exactly which topical territories competitors own (goal alignment, sprint planning, onboarding) and prioritize the gaps where we have a real product story to tell. On the cannibalization side, the engine-by-engine breakdown helped us understand why our branded search was eroding even when our Google AI Overviews citation share looked strong. Same brand, very different story per surface. Profound is the only tool I've used that connects all of that in one place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

There's really not much! They just need to continue implementing new features (they currently are at a rapid pace). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"User-Friendly Platform with Proactive, Responsive Account Support"
4/5
What do you like best about Profound?

Its very user-friendly, easy navigation and clear labeling to help you as you work on your projects. We also really enjoy out account services support lead, we recently shifted to our second person and both have been very responsive. And proactive, knowing our work projects and potential use cases to share upcoming or net new offerings that may be a good fit for us. We are shifting to a different pricing model at our contract renewal so jury is out there, which will be a point system. I think this will help our team keep better track of projects and points so overall should be seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

I wish we had access to track more of the LLMs- its likely a contract limitation because I know its possible to track Claude, for example. There are some kinks to work through that we have to go to our Acct lead for, and I wish we could just handle so we didn't have to have our hand held, but at times we cannot fix the issue on our own (for example with prompts not uploading correctly or a topic completely failing and not collecting data). One big issue we have is how the data exports, its a very messy file to the point its not usable. So we are working on possibly integrating the API, but also have a few workarounds we use to create a better workflow. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Seamless Performance with Comprehensive Data Analysis"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

I like the depth and breadth of data and the tools to analyze that data in Profound. There's constant attention to updating and creating new ways to look at and collect data, which allows us to put together analysis and strategy for our clients. It's pretty seamless and works really well, exactly as it's promised to be. It's really valuable in the way we can put together analysis and strategy for our clients. We evaluated a few other options and found that Profound was more capable and complete than those for what we needed. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

The automated prompt generation for onboarding new brands isn't quite as good as doing that process manually. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The AI Search Visibility and Scalable AEO Tool"
4.5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

As an SEO manager, Profound is my ultimate toolkit for the AI search era. It gives me real-time visibility into our brand citations and domain footprint across all major LLMs. More than just a tracking tool, its powerful workflow builder lets me deploy custom AI agents that automate our optimization processes, allowing us to scale our AEO efforts. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

The biggest opportunity for Profound is to integrate traditional SEO metrics, like keyword research, and rankings—alongside its LLM tracking to create the ultimate all-in-one search visibility platform. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Easy to Use, In-Depth Analysis with Smooth Integration and Great Support"
5/5
What do you like best about Profound?

The best thing about Profound is how easy it is to understand and how in-depth its analysis is. It is quick to add the queries you want, see where you stand, and understand it. The AI feature gives you a quick summary as well as a quick draft to write an article and/or improve an existing piece. The performance and the integration are smooth as well. Lastly, the team's overall support is also great, and in a few months of using it, we can already see some ROI. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Profound?

I feel the only thing Profound can do better at is to provide more training, given that they have a lot of new features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
