Profound Pricing Overview

I've hand an exceptional experience working with the Profound Sales and Onboarding Teams – they're the best! Very professional, and arguably the most knowledgeable in the AEO space given the data foundation they already have. They're just great people all around.

As for the software, I have yet to find another company that has more Answer Engine data flowing through their pipelines. Profound is truly a market leader in that regard.

Their user interface is exceptional as well; it's very clean, and the data are presented in meaningful ways that matter to our AI Chat Optimization initiative. Just their "Prompts" and "Citations" features alone would be enough to justify the cost of the product, yet they provide so many more insights, but not so much that I get lost in the sauce like I do when I use other products like SEMRush or Ahrefs.

We've had access to, and have been leveraging Profound, for just over a month now. We're still relatively new to the platform, so there aren't many critiques at the moment. However, for the sake of proper G2 Review etiquette, I will come back and update this review if I find anything I dislike about Profound in the future.

Regarding their "Opportunities" feature, I'd encourage the team to place more resources into adding even more automation to the content-production process (on top of all the automation they already have).

As a real life example, when the Opportunities Agent in Profound suggested: "Add citations from authoritative sources to support the claims made in the article.", I'd like the agent to actually provide relevant links, and to actually outline them in a piece of content that I, or our copywriter, can edit and paste into our article.

I find the prompt functionality in Profound particularly valuable. It allows us to input concepts and determine which prompts would be most beneficial for us to author content on, based on the searches within Gen AI platforms. This has been incredibly useful in guiding our content strategy. Additionally, the capability of Profound to assist in writing content tailored to the selected prompts, using the inputs we provide, is a strong feature as an assisted tool. It enhances our content development process, ensuring relevance and potentially improving our visibility. This makes Profound a good tool for augmented executive optimization (AEO). I find the overall user experience and dashboard of Profound to be confusing. It is not clear what is working and why. While I can improve our content, I don't know if it is being found in AI search or how it is performing. The data provided is inconsistent at the moment. Additionally, with constant changes, it's hard to know what new features may be helpful. Profound needs better onboarding and training, as well as a clear dashboard that showcases the improvements and their reasons with truthful data. A simple report should be available with the option to delve deeper. Integration with other tools is limited, as it doesn't integrate well with our existing systems unless they are among the few platforms it easily works with. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
