## Orchestry Reviews
  ### 1. Top-Notch SharePoint Online Management with Robust Reporting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 14, 2026

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Orchestry makes is so easy to manage our SharePoint Online environment. The robust reporting, the ability to apply review policies, and the interface are top notch.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

There isn't really a downside to using Orchestry, but there is functionality that I wished existed. At the moment, Orchestry provides reporting, but no easy way to change what we are reporting on. For example, I might pull a report for workspaces that are missing owners, but I have no way of changing those without navigating to the appropriate admin portal.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

By far the largest issue Orchestry has solved for me are the review policies. Before Orchestry, I would manually alert workspace owners and ask if they still need their workspace. This resulted in constant follow up with the owners. Since this was a manual process, this review process would take months to complete. With Orchestry, we now have several types of reviews that happen continuously. When sites become inactive, owners are automatically alerted and they are given configured options of what they can do with the site. They can renew, archive, or delete the workspace.

In addition, we have monitoring of guest users, allowing owners to determine if those users should still have access to their workspace. This allows the owners full insight into what guests in are in their space and allows them to keep or remove those users.

  ### 2. Orchestry helps to solve an entire lifescycle in a digital workplace, highly recommended to fellow IT Admins / System Administrators

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dishant N. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Orchestry's AI (Copilot) readiness dashboard is a tool which I used in the organization's AI Acceleration program and the results were amazing, also the granular access control is indeed a fantastic move from Infosec point of view.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

Nothing as such, just a feedback to enable agentic workflows like incorporating Slack's or Atlassian's s MCP server.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Especially to my end users, it helps to manage and collaborate in Microsoft 365.

**Official Response from Valerie Sergienko:**

> Dishant, many thanks for such a positive review! We are here to continue supporting you and your teammates and provide excellent customer support. We are also thrilled that Orchestry helps your end users better collaborate in M365 and manage their workspaces.

  ### 3. Our users now confidently launch new projects with consistent, pre-approved Orchestry templates

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lidia S. | Ecosystem Developer, E-Learning, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 02, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

The best thing about Orchestry is that it makes our internal request process of new collaboration spaces much simplified. Users no longer have to remember the technical details they just choose one of the workspaces types in an understandable list. The automated assignment of relevant tags and metadata to new sites was also of great value to the future search and audit. Finally, the guided archiving functionality helps us to cleanly close down a completed client site rather than have the old site linger indefinitely.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

For us to fully customize the more advanced features of our templates the learning curve was quite steep in the beginning this requires time commitment. I would like to see more detail in reporting, in particular, on guest user activity across all provisioned sites. It would be helpful to have a more visual/intuitive way of defining complex, multi stage approval workflows within the interface

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All project managers were creating client facing collaboration portals manually and with different security settings and folder structures. This frequently caused some inconsistency among the experiences of the clients as well as a possible security misconfiguration which was difficult to trace. As result of Orchestry implementation, all of our new client projects have a securely configured workspace that is automatically provisioned with all the needed document libraries and external sharing thresholds. It differentiates a business like manner of all our outside interaction.

  ### 4. Orchestrating our disparate systems brought unexpected cohesion and control

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Casper G. | Business Process Specialist, Construction, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 09, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Orchestry has done wonderfully well with standardizing cross-departmental communication flows. The visual workflow builder is simple to use to map the complicated processes that previously required a never-ending email chain. I especially like its approval features, whereby the work does not get lost in case the team members are absent.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

The preliminary integrations with our more niche software were also set up a little longer than we had expected. I also hope that more templates of international regulatory processes are pre-built since we tend to create them by ourselves. The mobile application may also be more user-friendly in terms of a fast status check.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were grappling with ineffective project start up processes resulting in deadline and scope creep. The project initiation has become an automated practice at Orchestry due to its use. This has significantly minimized the confusion in projects at the beginning and has enabled our teams to concentrate on the execution at day one.

  ### 5. Fantastic time savings and standardization across our Microsoft 365 tenant

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Oil & Energy | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 24, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Orchestry helped us reduce our time to provision new Teams by over 90%, while increasing standardization across the board. The end user experience for requesting new sites, as well as regular workspace reviews is quite intuitive, and offers great value. Orchestry enabled IT to go from being the functional owner of all sites to being just the technical owner, allowing data owners to manage their own workspace in a convenient, secure way.

Installation was super easy, and we were able to get rolling right away and start realizing the benefits, as well as see some of our existing gaps through their recommendations.

Our support experience has been great as well, everyone we've met on the team has been knowledgable and friendly.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

I do wish you could add private channels and memberships to an initial request. You can use a live template to initially provision private channels, but the site owner would then need to go and add users to those groups after the site finishes provisioning.

My biggest problem though? That a lot of our infra was setup before orchestry, and now I need to spend some time migrating those to be compliant with our new setup!

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For us, they are saving our IT department a ton of time in provisioning, managing, and lifecycling our Teams/Sharepoint environment. Additionally, they help us derisk through guest and shared link reviews.

They also help us enforce a consistent naming convention as well as site setup, so we can know how our data is being secured across the organization.

  ### 6. Simply a Must for Microsoft 365

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raelene B. | Head of Digital Workplace, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Orchestry provides the insights and the ability to ensure that your SharePoint Online and MIcrosoft Teams informtion environment is governed and secure whilst also providing a very simple interface for the provisioning of sites. It is a great tool especially for those that dont have adminsitrative level permissions to the administration portals for Microsoft 365. It is a must for Records and Information Managers who are tasked with owning and managing SharePoint Online and Microsoft Teams.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

I have not seen a downside to this product. Having been involved in many digital transformation projects, this tool is a game changer for those really wanting to govern thier information environments.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Orchestry allows users to actually govern and manage from provisioning through to archive in the Microsoft 365 environment. Many organisations write governance plans but very few actually implement them due to the heavy resource requirements. Orchestry uplifts this and makes it easy to implement governance.

  ### 7. Orchestry finally reined in our sprawling M365 environment, bringing much needed order

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kate L. | Productivity solutions architect, Marketing and Advertising, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

We find that Orchestry truly comes in hand in providing structure to our project lifecycle management. We especially appreciate the ways in which it allows a consistent organization of any new research project, which reduces the confusion inside the company greatly. It also makes it a breeze to safely handle external contractors on a per project level which, previously, was a real pain. And most importantly it assists us in streamlining the offboarding of our completed project sites, keeping our tenant clean.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

We have seen that it can allow being more flexible with fine tuning specific notification settings of workspace owners, at times the default cadence is a bit too much. Moreover, though very useful, search functionality in Orchestry itself of previous requests of workspaces might be extended to better handle very old requests. Lastly, we needed to do a bit of custom API work to work in with our own project planning tool because there was no out of the box direct connector.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The most pressing issue was the excessive knowledge fragmentation in different research project. Scientists were always creating new M365 teams or sites and did not know that the same work or data already existed in older, inaccessible, or not well arranged sites. This resulted in a lot of redundancy of work and time as well as a one in the general loss of institutional memory. What we currently benefit since the introduction of Orchestry is a uniform design of all our project workspaces with special sections on raw information, analysis, and reports. This regularity enables new groups of researchers to locate and develop on previous studies with incredibly less replica work and to have faith that our oblique wisdom is not dissipated to stay lost.

  ### 8. The guide to our team collaboration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Johnny K. | IT Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

I like it because it offers great capabilities, especially for implementing governance without hindering preservation. I love it. Also, our Microsoft 365 environment was a hub of duplicate and broken teams, and all the changes since Orchestry arrival have been for the better.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

The only downside for me is that the initial setup takes a lot of effort.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its fantastic. Its transformed the way we manage collaboration, allowing us to be efficient, secure, and organized. It also solves problems my IT team, giving us the control we need for effective collaboration and digital communication governance.

  ### 9. Centralized Governance Made Easy, But Interface and Report Speed Need Work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sumeet K. | IT Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 27, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

I appreciate having everything centralized for governance, automation, and the creation of templated workspaces. This is a major advantage, as it means we no longer need to rely on PowerShell scripts for routine tasks, which I find to be a significant improvement.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

What I didn’t like as much was the interface. I also wish the reports would load more quickly.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It solved problems because it brought order, and we were able to create a team with clear rules. It helps us control external guests, reducing security risks and document overexposure. Plus, Orchestry is an excellent solution for regaining authority without frustrating the end user. Honestly, it works like a charm.

  ### 10. Great Self-Service Portal and Templates, but Setup Can Be Tricky

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Pedro C. | EdTech Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

I liked their self-service portal, which works well for new teams for different research projects, because this really solves our end-user problems, and I really loved the pre-designed templates and the fact that it offers a nice, modern user interface.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

Initial setup can e a bit tricky, and the learning curve for new users needs to be improved.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It has been invaluable for automated governance, saving IT time greatly reducing support request and is valuable because we strongly support M365 and it has boosted staff collaboration and really improved administrative efficiency.

  ### 11. We manage and create collaborative spaces with Orchestry

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon P. | System Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

As a system administrator in the education sector, I like that it simplifies our lives for our teachers and students, and I love being able to create standardized templates for each class or project.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

The implementation process was not as easy as we thought.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Its a turning point that improves the way we managed and create collaborative spaces, significantly reducing the workload. This tool helps us stay organized and saves us time. Its an investment that truly makes a difference in efficiency and benefits.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Patrick B. | Senior Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 13, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

I like that it simplifies SharePoint administration with great team features, plus its super intuitive and saves a lot of time. I also love the interface, its clear and easy to understand.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

For now I can say that it works well but the learning curve is very steep and I think it can be improved.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We work with SharePoint and Microsoft Team, and it works really well, making adminsitration much easier and streamlining work in these environments.

  ### 13. Orchestry is key to controlling and standardizing the clutter of Microsoft 365

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Junior R. | IT Administrator, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

I really liked the template governance because it allows us to create a space for pre-configured courses, and thats great because it obviously saves work time and ensures the delivery of our programs.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

To get the most out of the platform, we need to leverage M365 knowledge.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I transformed Teams growth governance into a efficient and scalabe process, which is essential because we reduced the IT burden and ensured the security of the training business.

  ### 14. A Smart Tool for Managing Microsoft 365 Workspaces

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

- Setup of Orchestry was straight forward and done in less than 30min

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

  ### 15. M365 Management at it's Best

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle B. | Senior Consultant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 13, 2024

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

We are an Orchestry partner. We use Orchestry ourselves and have worked with clients to implement Orchestry. Orchestry truly simplifies M365 management in several ways, reducing the burden on IT: Automation of workspace provisioning, workspace lifecycle management and workspace guest management.

In addition, Orchestry is always working to enhance and improve the tool. The recommendations feature enhances the ability for IT to identify potential issues in M365 and provides easy access to the information you need to resolve those issues. The upcoming workspace review will ensure access, links, etc. are being reviewed on a regular bsis

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

There are some things that are not yet supported within Orchestry such as shared channels. However, Orchestry has these things on their roadmap.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Simplifies workspace creation, enhances/enforces data governance and security, provides important insight into your M365 tentant

  ### 16. A wonderful platform to understand Microsoft Admin better.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mancy M. | Application and Training analyst, IT, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2025

All the Orchestry features are excellent. The things that are confusing in Microsoft are often easy to understand in Orchestry. Also the training videos are excellent. Short and Simple.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

Cant think of any as such. Sometimes too many options in any workspace can get confusing. Providing tool tips on most of the headings can be great.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helps us in identifying and archiving the zillion teams that we have.

  ### 17. Amazing team and products that brings control and friendly user governance to Microsoft 365

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

As a consultant who has interacted extensively with the Orchestry team, I can confidently say that they embody a truly collaborative culture. Throughout my career, I have encountered numerous challenges with SharePoint and Teams, but working with Orchestry has been a game-changer. Overall, the Orchestry team stands out for their commitment to collaboration, understanding of real-world challenges, and the continuous development of their user-friendly product. Working with them has significantly improved my consulting experience with SharePoint and Teams.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

Struggle to answer this, there's normally a solution to any problem I throw Orchestry's way.

A slight downside from a Europe point of view is that the main support contacts are based in US or Canada which can add a slight delay in service requests. I would say however even that is mitigated by the awesome Knowledge Base.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Orchestry simplifies collaboration with Microsoft 365 tools by ensuring a consistent experience across sites, teams, and channels, making it easier for end users to learn and adopt. It assists organisations in designing effective workflow approaches using these tools and provides robust reporting capabilities to identify and resolve issues promptly.

  ### 18. A Helpful Platform for Microsoft 365 Governance and Automation

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consulting | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 08, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Orchestry made managing Microsoft Teams and SharePoint much easier for our organization. I really liked how it gave us ready-to-use templates and guided provisioning. It reduced the usual chaos of random team creation. The UI is clean and easy to understand even for non-technical users, which helped us reduce the support tickets from internal staff.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

Initial onboarding can take a little time if your environment is large. Also, there are a lot of features—so it can be a bit overwhelming at first. But once it's configured properly, it runs smoothly.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We were facing governance issues with Microsoft Teams and SharePoint, including duplicate teams, inconsistent naming, and sprawl. Orchestry helped solve that by enforcing policies and automating the lifecycle. It also gave us usage insights which helped with better decision-making. Overall, it has saved us both time and admin effort.

  ### 19. Best Optimization tool for managing lifecyle of M365

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rushikesh P. | Support Specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

I mainly like the AI feature offered by Orchestry, and it is most likely because it is user friendly, anyone can easily work with Orchestry's features, and it is continuously updating. It helps me in my professional and personal work. Really appreciable product

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

As of now, I don't see any negatives about orchestry, but one area they can improve is complex code with AI features.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Orchestry makes life easy to solve the main key problems, mainly orchestry automates the manual process, which previously took time, and it's best in security, it improves productivity and increases efficiency.

  ### 20. Orchestry continues to evolve and change the game

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Scott B. | Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 15, 2024

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Orchestry does exactly what it says on the box, it does a great job of Teams Provisioning and Governance in Microsoft 365, and builds on capabilities that many organisations require as part of their governance. In addition to this, we have seen more improvements in Orchestry , to add in provisioning of Viva Engage workspaces (Yammer, to the people who have been working in MS365 for a while!) and also additional dashboard reporting to identify Sharing Links and other important elements in the Microsoft 365 tenant. For that reason, Orchestry provides both the IT team with the tools they need, and end users with the ability to provision Teams that work for them, immediately after creating the Team. Another big benefit we find, is that new capabilities are included within the license fee, rather than being marketed as seperate licensed features - meaning we can obtain increased value with product changes.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

This wouldn't come as a suprise to Orchestry, but I would like to see the provisioning of 'Non-Group Enabled Team Sites' as an option for customers, as it provisions mainly group enabled Sites, with the exception of Communication Sites. We would also love to see more information on Dashboards for specific Sharing Links analytics - however these are fairly minor. The other challenge is that the Support Team are based in the US/ Canada, so European support (in European hours) can be a challenge if you are working specific hours.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Orchestry is helping with Teams Provisioning, providing Templated Teams that offer business value immediately. Alongside this having renewal processes to allow self-service and on-going renewal, to ensure that only Teams that are relevant, continue to be accessible. We also use the monthly dashboards to track performance of our tenant, sharing links that have been created and growth of the tenant and ensuring it's in the right services, like Teams and SharePoint.

  ### 21. Orchestry finally stopped our endless email chains and helped us organize our work

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bernard C. | Workflow Automation Engineer, Public Policy, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Content orchestration stands out as the main feature of this system. Our platform Orchestry lets us move content from one channel to many without any problems. Through Orchestry I can compose one blog post which instantly updates our website social networks and email subscribers. The workflow automation tool makes it easier for us to create content because it ensures all material gets published at the right time. The analytics dashboard gives us meaningful performance results about our content so we can base our changes on data facts. Our team finds it simple to adapt and use the product because its user interface works well.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

The first setup process becomes challenging because the software offers many different ways to customize it. Getting familiar with all of its tools will need dedicated learning over a few days. Advanced features require substantial learning time with several experiments required to master them. The platform encountered small problems which support staff fixed right away. While the software shows minor problems these issues do not affect its basic performance.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our content management process between different platforms existed in disarray before implementing Orchestry. We had to individually publish content to different channels through manual methods that took excessive time and produced many mistakes. The Orchestry solution provides users with an automated system that handles the entire workflow. The software provides one centralized workspace for content creation scheduling and publishing which cuts down the amount of manual labor substantially. The entire process of distributing our blog posts on different platforms took up substantial parts of our time before Orchestry came into use.

  ### 22. Good Platform for Teams and SharePoint Governance

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2025

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Orchestry simplifies governance and lifecycle management for Microsoft Teams and SharePoint. The workspace templates are very useful for standardizing site creation. Its reporting and insights help to track usage and identify inactive workspaces easily. Automation features reduce manual work.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

Some advanced configurations require additional setup and technical knowledge. The initial onboarding process can take time for users who are not familiar with governance tools.

  ### 38. Orchestry makes M365 collaboration easier and more secure for everyone

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tim D. | Senior Consultant, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Easy tool to deploy. Orchesty brings governance controls to organizations that want to manage Teams and SharePoint Sites, including external guests and membership of those Teams/Sites. Sure, you could do everything on your own as an admin with PowerShell and a lot of clicking, but Orchestry makes it easy (and auditable!) for managing requests and the lifecycle of collaboration. A new feature they recently rolled out makes Guest and Site management easy with built-in recommendations to clean up and manage collaboration. Using some of these new recommendation features saves me a lot of time and headaches and makes our tenant more secure and compliant; It's easy to audit and clean up old members and archive old data. Orchestry is also a great tool for managing user requests for site creation and enforcing naming conventions and policies. I would highly recommend this tool for organizations that want to have more control and visibility over their M365 tenant. Support requests are always answered quickly, in my experience.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

There are a few areas in the GUI that have not been fully built out. Multi-geo support is currently unavailable, but on the dev roadmap.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Orchestry helps with "collaboration sprawl" and allows you to shift to a request-centric model of Team and SharePoint Site creation. Users are much happier with the ability to request sites and admins love the request workflow.

  ### 39. Orchestry makes it easy for organizations to manage teams, groups and more in Microsoft 365.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michelle W. | Solution Delivery & Support Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2024

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Orchestry is highly beneficial for organizations, making it easy to create and customize templates. It simplifies the process for end users to provision new sites, while also providing robust tools for administrators to manage sprawl and ensure governance.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

I dont have anything i dislike about Orchestry.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have clients that need solutions for templated site creation, approvals, analytics and governance and Orchestry is a solution that meets so many different needs.

  ### 40. Great for 'site sprawl management' and custom site provisioning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mitch S. | Solutions Specialist, Information Technology and Services, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

If you are still managing the lifecycle of your existing M365 Teams and Groups using only out of the box methods, or provisioning customized Teams and Groups the same way, you're spending too much time and you're probably doing it ineffectively.

Even if you've mastered the art of using PnP Powershell to do the above things, Orchestry will save you significant time and hassle on a day to day basis.

The tool is simple to install, simple to use - for both Admins and site (Orchestry calls them 'Workspaces') requestors. The tool is affordable for medium- to large-scale enterprises.

On the site and guest user lifecycle governance front, Orchestry's feature set compares well with offerings from 'the usual suspects' - AvePoint, Dell (Metalogix) and others. Orchestry doesn't do everything those products do, but it does all the important stuff at a much lower cost.

In the custom site provisioning arena, Orchestry is a HUGE improvement over any of the Microsoft-provided approaches. Microsoft should just stop with trotting out new but incomplete and ineffective ways of provisioning customized sites and leave the job to Orchestry.

Orchestry is even a significant improvement over what you can accomplish using PnP Powershell and Azure Automation, even if you're willing to invest LARGE amounts of time in the process.

If you've already invested large amounts of time writing PnP scripts to automate customized site provisioning, then subscribing to Orchestry is still a good idea. You'll be able to convert your scripts to running under a Webhook that Orchestry will invoke when it's done with initial provisioning.

Since neither Orchestry nor any general-purpose tool can possibly do everything you might need to do with respect to pre- or post-provisioning automation, that's a good thing.

If you've been trying to work with Microsoft's methods for provisioning customized sites and thinking "there must be a better way to do this", you're right. There is, and it's called Orchestry.

G2 wants me to talk about some specific topics, so here goes:

1. Ease of Implementation - Orchestry itself installs in minutes. Configuring customized sites and run-time policies takes a bit more time, but it's simple. There's no coding involved, anywhere, in that process (though a 'user exit' function to insert custom code at key points in the process would be a good enhancement).

2. Customer Support - The folks who handle tickets for Orchestry are very knowledgeable and experienced. They even speak the Queen's English, and they respond quickly. You won't need to call on support very often, but when you do, you'll get it and you'll enjoy the process.

3. Frequency of Use - I'm not sure what G2 means by this, but I usually tell a prospective client who doesn't have Orchestry already to get it as a pre-requisite to my agreeing to help them implement their Intranet/Extranet. Once installed, Orchestry will be used on a daily basis by both M365 admins (for governance) and by authorized end-users (to provision new sites). If you've been dealing with site sprawl by forcing your users to live within the confines of a limited number of sites, then you're probably doing it wrong. When you have a tool that's as productive as Orchestry, there are no real barriers to 'doing your information architecture right', which has big benefits to the efficiency and effectiveness of your collaboration efforts.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

The product has come a long way since it was first introduced. Great progress has been made in terms of feature/function, but there is still room for some improvements.

Orchestry recognizes this, and their roadmap is robust. For example, Orchestry recently gained the ability to provision sites whose lists and document libraries incorporate content types that are subscribed from the Content Type Hub.

Since Microsoft themselves only recently made the SharePoint Online Content Type Hub actually usable, I would say that Orchestry is tracking Microsoft's roadmap appropriately.

There are a few other areas that could be enhanced. For example, it is a common practice to populate the property bag of new SharePoint sites with attributes whose values can be used to inform 'dynamic directories' of sites to present to users. Since Orchestry provides a great mechanism for capturing such site-specific metadata at workspace request time, it's natural to want to have the provisioning process take the site request metadata and populate property bag attributes with that data once the site has been provisioned.

Other ideas like that abound. Orchestry is open to such conversations and responsive to good ideas from customers.

They can't do everything all at once, however, which is why the product provides a post-provisioning call-back mechanism that customers can use to automate the post-provisioning process.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Organizations that aren't using Orchestry or don't have the resources to automatically provision the Teams and Groups that are the building blocks of an information architecture are very likely to end up delivering an inadequate, unproductive information architecture.

Bad information architecture leads to poor productivity, org-wide. Poor productivity means missed revenue and excessive cost.

It's fair to say that Orchestry helps improve an organization's profitability. Full stop.

Which is kind of the whole point of being in business, right?

  ### 44. Organization of M365 Made Easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 17, 2024

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Without using a lot of fancy words and consulting expressions, Orchestry helps organize the 'places' we work. Further, it helps you organize and manage who has access to what in those places. We love the organization and visibility (read: ability to manage) of our SharePoint, Teams and M365 Groups. The Access reports, and ability to do something about it are amazing!

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

I don't work with it technically, so I have nothing specific to offer.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Governance of M365 'locations' (sites, teams, channels, groups)...I have to know our information is accessible to those who need it and secured from those who 'don't'....

  ### 45. Easy to learn, with great features.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan C. | Senior Consultant - Microsoft Modern Work, MS Teams, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 03, 2024

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

- Short learning curve, with a easy to use interface. I found the interface quick to understand and master.
- Template features: Orchestry allowed me to build reusable components like an approval flow, life-cycle management process, and apply them to multiple Microsoft Teams Templates. This reduced my administrative work as I could reuse the same component repeatedly. It also allowed me to make a single update to a component and know that it is updated within multiple templates.

- Actionable Insights: Orchestry has great dashboards and insights for guest management and Microsoft Teams and SharePoint site life-cycle management. They show Microsoft teams that have only one channel, only one owner, or ownerless Microsoft teams. It also shows Microsoft Teams that are inactive and allowed me to start my predefined and corporate approved archiving process. That way they get reviewed by compliance and data is delt with in a compliant way.

-Permission controlled Microsoft Teams Templates: I am able to set up a series of Microsoft Teams templates and add permissions so that a subset of the templates only shows up for a smaller group of users. I had a PMO office that needed a special set of templates and was able to configure Orchestry so that they only are available to the PMO group.

-Integration: I was able to do complete a simple integration with Power Automate for post provisioning tasks for a Microsoft Team template. This was just done out of academic curiosity and now I have the confidence to implement additional steps that Orchestry has not released.

-Live Workspace templates: A live Microsoft Team can be used as a live structure for an Orchestry Templates. This allows me to give a Microsoft Team to a business user and they can maintain its channels, internal folder and file structure, apps, and tabs. Then all new Microsoft Teams provisioned from the template are based off that live team. This way I don't have to meet with the business to capture their requirements and build it for them. They are self-reliant.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

No channel life-cycle managment. Retire, and use of channels.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Guest mananagment of the external users within my tenant. I can create policies that automatically find unused guests accounts, and also message Microsoft Teams Owners that have Teams with External users to review and validate their use. The features are more rich than what you get form Microsoft OOTB.

  ### 46. An easy sell!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer & Network Security | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 11, 2024

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

The BEST part of working with Orchestry is the people. Their team really values partnerships, and we have a blast working together.

But further to that, as a Microsoft Solutions provider, we understand intimately the limitations and gaps of the technology stack so when our customers recognize the same, it's a slam dunk response: let me introduce you to Orchestry!

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

I don't know that I have much to put here.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When my customers come to the table frustrated with governing their platform, or worried about external users in their tenant, or trying to manage sprawl - Orchestry to the rescue.

  ### 47. Use Orchestry for M365 governance, lifecycle management, and insights

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Andrew W. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

Orchestry makes it very easy to template and implement governance and lifecycle management rules and workflows for M365. It's easy to use for both administrators and end users, and it provides useful insights that lets us pinpoint and resolve issues for our customers. It takes a complicated topic (governance) that almost nobody gets right, and makes it easy to roll out in an organization. The M365 environments I have deployed Orchestry to are much cleaner, more organized, and user friendly than the ones without.

The Orchestry team is also great to work with and they provide excellent customer support, both pre and post sale.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

I can't think of any downsides, other than organizations having to take on additional cost on top of their M365 license. Even then, Orchestry does so many things that Microsoft doesn't do natively, and those things provide so much value in time savings for both admins and end users that the costis easily worth it.

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A few different problems:
1. Workspace templating: Orchestry allows us to template different workspace configurations (SharePoint sites, Teams / channels, Viva Engage groups) in a way that makes M365 easier for end users to collaborate with, and easier for administrators to manage.
2. Lifecycle management: The lifecycle management policies we configure in Orchestry finally enable organizations to solve the age old problem of sprawl. This has been a problem in IT as long as I can remember, and Orchestry is one of the only tools that makes it palatable for organizations to actually take the plunge and solve it.
3. Governance: The ability to enforce naming conventions, ownership, sensitivity labels, and other governance aspects easily through the workspace creation process adds a layer of governance and organization to the M365 environments we manage.
4. Insights: The interactive dashboards make it very easy to understand M365 health, identify possible problems, and drill through to understand the full scope of an issue, all within a single pane of glass. These dashboards make it easy to bring governance oversight into a repeatable process that organizations will actually take on and continue with.
5. Guest management: Guest management has been a continual challenge in M365 environments, and Orchestry's functionality gives much greater visibility and control, allowing the management of guests and their access through a centralized workflow. Greatly reduces time spent and thinking.

  ### 48. Simple, beautiful and very functional!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Felix W. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

When I started using Orchestry, all the bells and whistles made everything seem very shiny. That shine is great but what really sticks isn't all the features or service (which by the way is world class!!!), it's how functional and day-to-day useful the product actual is! I use Orchestry myself with my company but it's the clients I help implement Orchestry with that are a true testament to its effectiveness. Even when I don't speak with my clients for a few months, it's usually Orchestry they're raving about when we finally do connect. Orchestry is truly an amazing product that just gets the job done stunningly well.

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

Honestly there's not much. Orchestry continually improves/evolves and only keeps getting better. Keep up the good work!

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

<< Teams sprawl including governance and lifecycle management >>
- We're able to standardize, track and manage all the Teams, channels, etc. created
<< SharePoint governance and lifecycle management >>
- We have insight into all our SharePoint instances
<< Reporting >>
- A great variety of metrics are available helping us make informed decisions
<< Guest Management >>
- This is a fantastic addition! We invite thousands of guests into our environment every year and this lets us keep track of everyone. I can't overstate how great this feature is!!

**What do you like best about Orchestry?**

It is an incredibly powerful and easy to use! I love how much thought and attention has gone into guiding users to implement best practice and governance in M365.

Provision customised workspaces dedicated to specific departments or business process. All very easy and straightforward to do - both from an admin and user perspecitive.

I love how it can customise the Team (tabs) and customise the SharePoint site underneath!

**What do you dislike about Orchestry?**

There isn't many - that's how great the software is! Guess although it is super easy to pick up there is a learning curve to get going from an admin perspective but this is minimal! From a user perspective it is really slick!

**What problems is Orchestry solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Helping enforce governance and helping stop Teams/Site Workspace sprawl i.e. duplicate Teams. By controlling the provisioning process and guiding users into creating the correct Team from a custom template or referring them to an already created Team. We are finding Team sprawl is no longer happening or very minimal!
