MoEngage makes it easy to move from raw event data to actionable campaigns without too much dependency on engineering. Segments feel very dynamic, you can define user groups based on behavior, time windows, and custom properties.
I like how quickly you can validate whether events are flowing correctly using real-time data. Campaign journeys can be built visually, which helps understand how users move across touchpoints.
It’s useful not just for marketing, but also for QA to verify tracking logic during feature releases. It connects analytics and execution in a way that feels usable day-to-day.

**What do you dislike about MoEngage?**

Managing a large number of events and attributes requires strict naming discipline. Some reports take time to load when datasets grow. Advanced configurations are not always intuitive for new users. Debugging incorrect event data can take effort without proper tracking standards. Not blockers, but noticeable in ongoing usage.

Funnels are extremely easy to build, you just pick the events and MoEngage instantly shows drop-offs, conversion rates, and time taken between steps. Great for both QA validation and product decision-making.
Segments update in real time, which makes it simple to verify whether users are entering or exiting a segment after specific actions.
The ability to filter funnels by device type, location, user properties, or custom attributes gives a much richer understanding of problem areas.
Segments can be reused across campaigns, which means once you define a behavioral pattern (like “added to cart but never purchased”), it's available everywhere.

**What do you dislike about MoEngage?**

Funnels with very high data volume sometimes take a bit longer to load. If event names are not standardized well, funnel building becomes messy, this puts pressure on teams to maintain strict naming discipline.

The dashboard gives a very clean overview of user journeys, it's easy to trace how users move through different parts of the product. Event tracking is straightforward, and the real-time event stream helps verify instrumentation quickly during testing. Segmentation is incredibly powerful; you can slice users based on actions, timing, location, or behavior patterns. The campaign builder is intuitive, push notifications, emails, and in-app messages can be created without depending on engineering every time.

I appreciate how easy it is to validate events from both the browser and MoEngage console during QA cycles.

MoEngage is excellent for building personalised, omnichannel campaigns and tracking user journeys in detail. 

The platform’s automation workflows, segmentation, and analytics make it easy to engage users at the right time with the right message. I particularly like the ease of campaign execution across email, push, WhatsApp, and in-app notifications, and the actionable insights that help us improve conversions and retention.

The platform is feature-rich, but the UI can feel a bit overwhelming for new users, especially when setting up advanced journeys. At times, the reporting dashboards load slowly for large datasets. I would also like to see even smoother integrations with third-party tools for a more seamless workflow.

I like the interactive campaigns we can have at different stages of the order journey and the number of channels it supports, including WhatsApp and email. The ease of platform use and customization at different stages of the order journey made us choose MoEngage. The initial setup was quite seamless with dedicated support from the tech team.

**What do you dislike about MoEngage?**

MoEngage is not able to conversationally interact with customers, meaning it doesn't rely on customer responses, and its WABA connectivity could be improved. It should support more WABA providers and help in integration with conversational platforms like DevRev and Verloop.

**What problems is MoEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

MoEngage automates marketing campaigns at the order journey level, helping us improve customer interaction and loyalty by reaching customers at relevant touchpoints and increasing conversions with triggers like cart abandonment and checkout failure.

It is best tools to analyse a user behaviour on your platform. We can create user journey and send push notification. Cohort wise analysis and Ab testing based on the cohorts. Perfect tool for Product management

This is mainly a front-end analysis tool based on event triggers. For deeper analysis, we still need to combine it with back-end data in an external tool.

Cohort-wise push notification sending used to be a problem for us, but now we can do it very easily with MoEngage. Creating cohort-based user journeys has been the biggest win for us.

- The support team is very responsive and helpful — they’re always available whenever we need assistance, without charging extra support fees beyond a certain limit (unlike Insider which caps free support hours per month).

- Pricing is more competitive than others.

- The platform provides flexibility in tracking user behavior through events, and it’s convenient that almost every user action on the platform can be tracked as an event.

- MoEngage also offers integrated communication channels (email, SMS, web push), and the email builder is easier to use compared to SendGrid.

**What do you dislike about MoEngage?**

Event setup and data mapping can be unclear, requiring detailed definitions from the start. MAU-based billing may overcount users switching browsers. Triggered campaigns sometimes fail depending on event sources (SDK vs S2S). Product personalization and templates are still limited.

MoEngage helps us centralize and automate customer engagement across multiple channels — including web push, email, and SMS — based on real user behavior. By tracking user actions as events, we can send timely, personalized messages (e.g. cart reminders or product recommendations) to improve conversion and retention. Integration of  moengage is a little tricky. It needs connections to connect to them and data from various CRM providers and outside parties.also some unwanted backend errors there were problem in creating and running campaign in moengage

**What do you like best about MoEngage?**

MoEngage offers a wide range of features that make user engagement easier. What I like best is the Personalization, which allows me to create customized campaigns, ensuring I target the right audience with relevant content. I also like the User Segmentation feature for refining my audience. Additionally, the platform’s Comprehensive Analytics provide detailed reports on user behavior and engagement with my campaigns. Lastly, the Omnichannel Campaign feature allows me to engage users through multiple channels, such as email, push notifications, and in-app messaging.

**What do you dislike about MoEngage?**

Things I dislike about MoEngage is that the learning and exploring can be a bit tricky for new users, especially when navigating all the features. Also, the delays in loading the campaigns when you search it is a little annoying.

I’ve been using MoEngage for some time now, and I’m genuinely impressed with the capabilities and performance of the platform. It’s a comprehensive tool that has significantly streamlined our customer engagement efforts.
Apart from their tool I would like to shoutout to their CSM team. They are very professional and ready to help anytime even they are on vacation

**What do you dislike about MoEngage?**

I rate MoEngage very highly overall, as it’s been an excellent tool for our customer engagement needs. However, I’ve noticed that when creating large flows, the platform sometimes experiences lag. On occasion, this lag has caused us to lose all our changes unexpectedly. While MoEngage offers an auto-save feature for campaigns, I believe implementing a similar auto-save functionality for flows would be a valuable improvement. This would prevent any loss of work and enhance the overall user experience.

**What problems is MoEngage solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We’ve noticed that it currently doesn’t support multiple CTA templates on WhatsApp. Once this feature is added, it will significantly enhance our ability to personalize communications and offer customers the convenience of calling and purchasing directly from a single message.

Automation which has significantly improved our efficiency, the quick responses from the customer support team, assistance by the designated CSMs with their experience and vast knowledge of various aspects like industries, A/B testing etc & are most helpful, the workshops are engaging and always teach something new,  also allowing us to network within an outside our industries. The implementation & integration of new features on regular basis. I personally find the overall look and feel of the tool very easy to use and navigate through or explore.

The loading time taken by the pages to load new data can be improved in my opninion. The campaign editing tools integrated into in this software can be enhanced and maybe made a little more modern feel.

Additionally, every quarter, they also hold a QBR Review, which is very informative and insightful as they share about our performance/achievements during a certain period and provide recommendations or insights that can be beneficial to improving our performance or achieving KPIs. Furthermore, the AE is very responsive and easy to reach, which is very helpful if we experience any issues in operating MoE as we use MoEngage in daily basis.

Moengage is an amazing platform, however it's only available in the desktop version. A mobile version could also be helpful here.

Their product and tech team do a great job of soliciting customer feedback and incorporating that feedback quickly onto the platform. I am really impressed with how quickly they can add new enhancements.

As such i don't feel any. But yeah, I think if moengage can add something to make it more easy onboarding of the tool to the client is self integerated channels and provide Email/SMS/Whatsapp services too.

Because as a client, it becomes a big task, integerating all different vendors onto the tool.

MoEngage is great since it makes it easier for me to understand customers. It does an excellent job of gathering all the data I have and producing insightful analysis then i can utilise those insights to craft experiences that each user feels unique about. 
It's quite convenient to be able to categorise customers according to their preferences and behaviour with that i can design ads campaigns that effectively target each demographic. 
Overall MoEngage is a useful tool for any marketer looking to create a sense of specialness and loyalty in their clients.

Despite the fact that MoEngage is designed to provide campaign optimisation and AI-driven insights.
I've discovered that the AI falls short of expectations. It should use more accuracy and customisation upgrades to really live up to its claims.

Moenagage provides in-depth analytics on user's behaviour in the app which helps us improve our campaigns & our product overall. For eg: Using Behaviour & funnel analytics on Moengage, we were able to identify that our clients prefer to analyse a stock before placing their orders, which made us change our order placement journey from direct redirection to now routing the user via the company analysis(Quotes) page. 

Moengage also allows hyper-personalisation by use of various user attributes  which enhances the customer's experience on the app.

Also the customer support is usually pretty quick at helping us with our issues/queries.

**What do you dislike about MoEngage?**

The AI tools being provided do not seem to be well trained yet, and sometimes throw random responses, this could be improved.

There are issues related to certain channels like In-app which is an important channel for us. 

Flutter support must be improved upon.
