What do users say?

Generated using AI from real user reviews
Users most consistently praise SharePoint's centralized document management and its seamless Microsoft 365 integration, which let teams store, share, and co-edit files in one place while keeping everyone on the latest version. Reviewers value the strong version control, secure access, and smooth collaboration across Teams, Outlook, and OneDrive. The most common drawback is a steep learning curve, with setup, permissions, and navigation feeling complex for new users.

"A reliable tool for collaboration and document management"
3.5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

I value SharePoint primarily as a central hub that allows me to easily access the documents I need, eliminating the hassle of searching through emails. In my experience with both Arval and Mondelez, it has been particularly useful for managing shared files, onboarding resources, and process documentation. I also appreciate how seamlessly it integrates with the broader Microsoft 365 ecosystem, which helps streamline my daily tasks. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Although the software is quite powerful, I find that the interface feels somewhat outdated and isn't always intuitive for newcomers. Navigating through the system can sometimes require more clicks than expected, and loading large libraries tends to be slow. While there are customization options, they aren't always easy to use without assistance from an administrator. I believe that a more streamlined design and improved performance would significantly enhance the overall experience. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

SharePoint is a very useful and convenient platform for file sharing and team collaboration. One of the best features is the ability to easily share large files with team members without worrying about email size limits. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Customization and setup may require technical knowledge, making it less user-friendly for some teams. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Neat, Well-Organized Sharepoint with Fast, Reliable Access Anywhere"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

I appreciate that it is shared internally across the company but there is also the opportunity to open that visibility to others external to our company.

Visually, Sharepoint is very neat and well-organized, making it easy to navigate to folders.

So long as you have internet connectivity, the website always loads quickly. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

I don't have any negative feedback to give about Sharepoint, to be quite honest! I believe that performance is all in how one uses a tool they are given. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Modern, Anywhere File Collaboration with SharePoint and Microsoft 365"
4/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

SharePoint works well as a modern replacement for a classic file server. Our team can collaborate easily on files uploaded to SharePoint, and because it’s a cloud solution, we don’t need a VPN to access a traditional file server. It works from anywhere with an internet connection and is accessible from mobile devices as well.

It was straightforward for us to implement SharePoint document libraries since we already had Microsoft 365. I use SharePoint daily, and it’s easy to integrate additional workflows into SharePoint using Power Automate. SharePoint also includes built-in version control for documents, along with co-editing.

That said, Microsoft’s customer support is weak and I wouldn’t recommend relying on it. In my experience, you’re better off working with a third-party support partner. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

While SharePoint works well for my team, it isn’t a good drop-in replacement for a traditional file server. Before moving content into SharePoint, the data really needs to be cleaned up and reorganized so it’s structured appropriately. In my experience, it also works best when used in a browser, and local file sync doesn’t work well for this kind of setup. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All Our Files in One Place, Easy Collaboration with Teams and Office"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

It keeps all our files in one place. No more where is that file? or 10 different copies in emails. Everyone knows where to look, and it works well with Teams and Word/Excel, so it feels easy to use. I also like that you can see who changed what and go back if something goes wrong. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

It can feel a bit slow when there are too many folders or pages. Setting it up like who can see what sometimes take more time and clicking that it should. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"SharePoint as Our Central Hub for Training and Day-to-Day Info"
5/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

Sharepoint gives our company a single stop place for all training materials as well as many other things that we use for our day to day functions. We have a central location that all employees can utilize to find out important information to complete their day to day functions Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

Sometimes it can be harder to navigate but we do have a lot of information that is stored so sometimes it is more user error then error on the program itself Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Great for Centralised Collaboration, but Document Search Depends on Organisation"
3/5
What do you like best about Microsoft SharePoint?

What I like most about Microsoft SharePoint is how it centralises documents, team communication, and project collaboration in one place. This makes it easier for teams to share information and work more efficiently. I also appreciate how well it integrates with other Microsoft tools, which helps improve productivity and keeps document management organised. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Microsoft SharePoint?

One thing I don’t like about Microsoft SharePoint is that it can be hard to locate specific documents when they aren’t properly organised or tagged. That can make searching for information more time-consuming, especially when multiple teams are posting content in the same place. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
