## Katana Cloud Inventory Reviews
  ### 1. Always new ways to connect systems together

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Raees R. | Software Development / ICT Executive, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Loads of new features that make the overall package so much better. The recent real time ingredient picker was a needed feature that delivered well.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Pricing has really gotten a bit harsher. Considering that my early critiques were about having more users. We now have unlimited users, but the pricing model is focused on add-ons and per order. While this is good for scalability, the base cost is still a bit high for smaller manufacturing companies.

**Recommendations to others considering Katana Cloud Inventory:**

Definitely utilize the trial to understand whether it fits your needs.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've integrated Katana into our CRM system and can go from sales (whether on our website or otherwise), through production and billing, all the way to after-sales support and customer satisfaction reporting, all in one connected system. Katana's integration capabilities have proven invaluable in getting that set up and working reliably.

**Official Response from Kurt Strang:**

> Thanks for the review and feedback Raees!
Additional users are a fraction of the cost of the base subscription which helps teams easily scale with Katana, but fair feedback anyhow which I've shared with our team.

Happy to hear you're utilizing our APIs already, and great news on that — we just released our latest round of updates to the API on the 27th.
Now all possible endpoints are available from sales to manufacturing.

Cheers!

  ### 2. Intuitive Onboarding and Exceptionally Helpful Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Spencer C. | Executive Financial Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The software is very intuitive, even during our onboarding process when we were still very new to the system, we were able to practice with the system, and it took almost no time at all for our team to get the hang of it. Also, every employee that we have spoken to thus far has been extremely kind and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Honestly, there isn't much we don't like about Katana, the system is way better than what we we're using before. I would say the only things that are a bit bothersome is that there are some functions that I'm not sure Katana has. All of them are very small functions though, like the ability to add Net 45 days on Invoices for example.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating Invoices, Sales Orders, and being able to manage and see our inventory in one place has been extremely helpful.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey, Spencer!

This was awesome to read.
"No time at all to get the hang of it" is the goal! We're happy to know onboarding went smoothly, and that Katana has made a genuine positive impact on your business.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

  ### 3. Efficient Inventory Management with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zane G. | COO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I like how accurate Katana Cloud Inventory is and its good amount of capabilities to help speed up our whole fulfillment process. It speeds up our invoicing and shipping-label process while maintaining an accurate inventory of our products and packaging. I also appreciate how well it works with our shipping platform, sending the invoice to our QuickBooks Online, and then sharing the info with our shipping platform to make our shipping label for us, speeding up the whole process.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

If there were add-on features without having to move up to the next tier completely. We only need one thing from the next tier, but not all the things that come with that bundle. It should allow us to upgrade any add-on, even if it's just one. That would make it fully customizable and allow each company to use the processes needed for their fulfillment and operations.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Katana Cloud Inventory to manage inventory and automate invoicing and fulfillment. It speeds up our invoicing and shipping-label process while maintaining accurate inventory, enhancing capabilities to boost the fulfillment process.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Zane,

Thank you for sharing your feedback! We're glad Katana is a good fit and the invoicing, QuickBooks, and shipping label workflow are running smoothly for you.

On the add-on flexibility - good news! Our pricing has evolved: our Core plan now includes unlimited integrations and unlimited users built in, and you can add the add-ons you need on top - Warehouse Management, Traceability, Manufacturing Management - and pay only for what you need. Sales orders work on a pay-as-you-grow model, so you're only paying for what you use.

Take a look at how it works now: katanamrp.com/pricing/, and reach out if you want to talk it through.

  ### 4. Streamlined Inventory and Sales Order Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan N. | Supply Chain Lead, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I find Katana Cloud Inventory to be relatively simple and easy to use, yet it still offers a lot of features of a 'modern' MRP system and doesn't feel clunky. The API is a big plus as it makes it easy to connect to other systems. I really like how it allows someone with no software engineering skills to build tools to improve our workflows, like posting updates on Slack when a sales order is delivered or getting data to build our own dashboards. The initial setup was pretty easy, especially uploading data with Excel sheets.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

It doesn’t have a “Quality status” of batches of products. This is needed for our food production workflow. Just a dedicated “QA pending / QA hold status” for product batches - that prevents it being sold or used.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Katana Cloud Inventory to track stock, meet customer orders, and manage traceability. It connects well with Xero and Slack, making dashboards and automation easy.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Ryan,
It's great to read about how you're making Katana your own through our open API. That's exactly the kind of thing we want to make possible.

Thank you for taking the time to leave us a detailed review.
We're always improving, keep an eye on our updates.

  ### 5. Efficient, Intuitive & Transparent Inventory Management

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sam G. | Senior Manager of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I like how easy Katana Cloud Inventory is to use, allowing all the team members to log in on their own. This feature enables us to track inventory from different departments effectively. It brings transparency as it allows individuals to track what they do on the platform and gives them the autonomy to update inventory or make adjustments as needed. I also appreciate that it syncs with both of my Shopify accounts, consolidating all of my sales orders from both places, which is definitely one of its pluses.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The PO tracking is something that I think they're evolving as they just added draft orders. But that's been a pain point for me, as well as the way it talks to manufacturing orders. I think it's a continued evolution.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Katana Cloud Inventory to manage raw ingredients and finished goods. It's easy to use, enabling my team to log in, track inventory, and have full transparency across departments, which helps in updating or adjusting inventories independently.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Sam,
We're happy to know your team is making the most out of Katana and that it was a smooth transition.

Thanks for noting what's still evolving too. We're always working to get it right.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

  ### 6. Intuitive Yet Overbuilt for Small Teams

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Evan R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I use Katana Cloud Inventory to track inventory for my fermentation business. It's extremely intuitive and user-friendly, which is really important for us because our team is diverse, with many people who are not used to complex software. It's nice that Katana is easy to train staff on, ensuring that our inventory is accurately tracked and kept up to date. With Ash's help, the initial setup was fairly easy, and even though it took a lot of effort, it was worth it.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I think Katana is over-built for our needs. It might be nice to grow into, though. I also think stock adjustments, stocktakes, and stock data uploads are confusing to decide what to use when. We linked it to QuickBooks, but I don't like it. Packing slips and invoices used to include our logo and were flashier, but I haven't figured out how to do that on katana yet.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Katana Cloud Inventory to track ingredients and avoid running out, which is crucial for fulfilling orders. It's intuitive and user-friendly, making it easy for our diverse team to keep inventory up to date without needing complex software skills.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Evan,
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

Happy to hear you find Katana intuitive and easy to use and thank you for your shoutout to Ash - we'll pass the kudos along.

We're looking forward to seeing your business and team grow into all of Katana's features.

If you need anything, we're here to help.

  ### 7. Great for Manufacturing, Needs Better PO Features

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Natalie R. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I really like that Katana Cloud Inventory works well for manufacturing, which is essential for our needs. The multi-level BOMs are very helpful to us because we have complex manufacturing processes. I also appreciate the insights feature, which is quite useful for analyzing past data and making forecasts for future ordering and production.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I would like there to be a better system for auto-assembly products. Currently, auto-assembly is only available for kits, not for individual products. The purchase orders (POs) could be improved in multiple ways: you should be able to select the tax code for all items at once, instead of going through them one by one; when ordering cases, it should show the case size and the total amount, rather than just the number of cases, requiring a click into the UoM field; most importantly, you should be able to apply a discount to the total PO and have it be distributed, similarly to applying shipping costs to the whole PO.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana Cloud Inventory helps with keeping track of ingredient usage, products made, and recipes. It works well for manufacturing with multi-level BOMs and valuable insights for forecasting future orders and production.

  ### 8. Detailed Production Insights, Needs Better Sales Integration

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kelsey Z. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I like how detailed Katana Cloud Inventory is when it comes to product recipes and inventory tracking. It's nice having everything in one place, from materials to packaging to the final product, which has automated our system and helped prevent us from running out of materials during projects. This prevents us from having to stop production unexpectedly and saves us money. After using Katana Cloud Inventory for about a month, our process is much smoother.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

There are many things that could be improved. While the production side of Katana is fairly seamless, the sales side has many issues that slow our team down and make it difficult to stay organized. Sorting products is a big problem that we run into with the limited fields Katana provides. In Shopify, we can sort products by type, vendor, category, name, etc., and have a clearer picture of inventory. In Katana, we are limited to sorting by name or SKU, and it's hard to filter out external vendor products or products that we're out of stock for. Additionally, it's hard to create transfers since we're not able to have advanced filters. We have to scroll and scroll through hundreds of products to be able to find and select what we need. Even if we are sorting by SKU, there are other products that show up, creating clutter in the list. Another issue is not having product sync with Shopify until an item is sold. We frequently move product between locations, and this makes our inventory show as out of stock until it's sold. It would be nice to have a more streamlined inventory sync with Shopify, especially since if the inventory doesn't immediately show up, it may appear as out of stock on our online store, keeping customers from purchasing it. Another issue is not being able to bulk edit within Katana. I understand that there are many data export options, but this creates many additional steps to download, edit, and import, all while making sure not to accidentally edit something I didn't mean to. It would be easier and more streamlined to edit within Katana directly and not have many excel sheets to sort through. Overall, user experience could be greatly improved for easier and quicker workflows. Using similar workflows to Shopify would make the integration a lot smoother and reduce the learning curve for our sales teams.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana Cloud Inventory helps us automate tracking our manufacturing and inventory, ensuring we have enough materials and preventing unexpected production stops. It saves money, eliminates manual scheduling, and keeps our process smooth by having everything in one place.

**Official Response from Brendan C:**

> Hi there! We're glad Katana has made a real difference on the production side, preventing unexpected stops and keeping materials in stock.

On the pain points: we're aware that sorting/filtering and bulk editing have room to improve, and these are areas we're looking to improve in the future. On the Shopify inventory sync, this is a known gap specifically for the initial sync when adding a newly created location, not an ongoing sync issue. It's something we want to address, and your feedback helps us prioritize.

We're looking forward to making the experience better for you.

  ### 9. Simplified Inventory Management with QuickBooks Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tristan S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 13, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I like the simplicity of using Katana Cloud Inventory. It's very well thought out. The PO system is very nice, and I appreciate that we can use inventory and quotes all in one place, which makes it a lot easier. It keeps everything organized and integrates with QuickBooks so our inventory is managed correctly. The initial setup was extremely easy, albeit time-consuming.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The customer relations portion of the platform. There is no way to send those quotes through Katana making it harder to track. I also do not like that there are so many add ons that are not included and cost significant amounts. For instance, scanning the items and having to pay for the feature. If we need extra material we have to change that in Katana manually, would be nice to pull what we need in real time. I feel like add ons should not cost the same as the entire subscription.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I find Katana Cloud Inventory organizes everything in one place and integrates with QuickBooks, ensuring our inventory is managed correctly.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey, Tristan!

That's how we want Katana to feel: simple to use and highly effective.
Glad the QuickBooks integration and having POs, inventory, and quotes in one place is making life easier.

We hear you on the add-on pricing and the quote-sending limitation. We're always looking for ways to improve, so this kind of feedback is genuinely useful.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

  ### 10. Essential Inventory Tool with Integration Hiccups

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amanda K. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I like that Katana Cloud Inventory syncs between Shopify and our QuickBooks. It's helpful for us because it gives us one place that's the point of truth for our inventory, so we don't have to keep multiple systems updated.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The syncing between QuickBooks doesn't quite work as well as we'd like it to. It would also be great if it could sync between Gusto to better track our labor costs. We do have a pretty manual step where we have to reconcile our payroll with the manufacturing orders that actually came through in that period. Honestly, it was pretty challenging, and I'm glad I have a pretty technical background because there was a lot of uploading spreadsheets and maneuvering the data around to get it how Katana wanted it to be. So it took a few months, but we had an excellent experience with our onboarding adviser.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana Cloud Inventory helps us track our manufacturing, syncs with Shopify for accurate inventory, and supports event prep by moving inventory seamlessly. It provides a single point of truth for inventory and reduces the need to update multiple systems.

  ### 11. Katana Cut Our Spreadsheet Workload in Half with Time-Saving Integrations and Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Primary focus for our team was to get off spreadsheets - and while we still use them (hard not to in business) Katana has reduced the number by more than half, significantly saving time and allowing us to redirect energy to growth. The built in native integrations, and support team are key to best performance and ensuring reasonable pricing.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The one downside I would mention about Katana is the lack of a 'at a glance' dashboard - to see what is and isn't in stock at the moment. Though, to date, the team has been very responsive, and are quick to develop API apps to assist when needed.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest issue for us was getting off spreadsheets - Katana covers that for us in spades. Allowing us more time to focus on business growth vs. spreadsheet formulas. Katana performance here is outstanding.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hi,
We really apreciate you taking the time to share your results.
Cutting spreadsheets by half is no small feat - we're excited to witness your growth!

Thank you for trusting us with this transition.

  ### 12. Modern, Straightforward Cloud UI That Makes Updates Easy

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dan K. | Warehouse Operations Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The user interface is modern and pretty straightforward. Cloud based system makes it easy to access from anywhere. Edits and updates of product information is typically simple.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Minor flaws in functionality. It can be hard to navigate when searching for specific info. Doesn't always give me what I need. Not great visibility within the PO portion and other spaces.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Manages inventory in a straightforward, easy to understand way. Not bogged down in tech jargon or high math. Cuts down on the need for intense training.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey, Dan!
That's what we're going for: modern inventory management for modern businesses. Happy to see that's your experience.

We're taking notes on the navigation and PO visibility.
Thanks for the feedback and for taking the time to leave a review.

  ### 13. User-Friendly MRP with Efficient Inventory Planning

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Colton M. | Inventory Assistant, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I really like the ease of use, which is a huge benefit for our team, making it easy to understand and maintain for new users. I also appreciate Katana Cloud Inventory's inventory planning, especially the expected and calculated stock features, which make inventory planning easier and allow our whole team to see when materials are expected to arrive. The initial setup was fairly easy, which was a plus for us.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

We would like to see better location and bin management, or at least the ability to sync with our WMS for better location tracking.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana Cloud Inventory is easy to use, making it simple for our team to understand and maintain. It helps with inventory planning, showing the expected and calculated stock, which makes team coordination easier.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Colton,

We're all about uncomplicating inventory management. We're happy to know your team is finding Katana easy to learn and work with.
Looking forward to seeing you grow with us.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

  ### 14. Glenn Food Company Katana Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Amy K. | Supply Chain Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I like that all info can be automatically transferred from other platforms so I don't have to do a lot of manual entry and that the platform is easy to learn and understand.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I wish it was a little more user friendly in terms of being able to navigate, but mostly the biggest issue I have is when a sales order is packed with inventory from more than one lot/batch number, it doesn't seem to be able to pack that correctly and will get stuck after the first lot is assigned and then get stuck being able to pack all the products. I also wish I could adjust things without having to adjust the inventory period after it's closed. I think an inventory period should be an option and not automatic.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana allows me to see all my inventory in one place including any that are committed, create purchase orders easily, and we are about to connect Katana to Quickbooks Online which will make our invoicing more efficient

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hi Amy,
Thank you for your thoughtful review.

We're happy to hear manual entry is no longer a problem for your team and you can now easily see all of your inventory data in Katana.

We're always working on improving and answering our customers needs even better. Keep an eye on our roadmap and reach out to our team whenever you need.

  ### 15. Effortless Inventory Management with Reliable Integration

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jake S. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I like Katana Cloud Inventory because it's easy to use and reliable. The system tracks the consumption of ingredients, which helps take the guesswork out of reorder points. It also integrates with Shopify to automatically decrement stock when a sale is made, solving the largest issue I had.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The traceability functionality can leave something to be desired. I'm unable to click through nested manufacturing orders; moving up or down the production process requires opening new window(s) to move through the process.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Katana Cloud Inventory to purchase materials, track costs, and ensure inventory accuracy. It solves the problem of automatic stock decrement with Shopify and tracks ingredient consumption, removing reorder point guesswork.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey, Jake!
It's great to know you appreciate our traceability and integration capabilities and that Katana is making your daily work easier to manage.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review, we really appreciate it! We're excited to be with you as you work (and achieve) the certifications you're working towards.

  ### 16. Streamlined Manufacturing, But Needs Better Reporting

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Heikke A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I appreciate that Katana Cloud Inventory helps us organize, plan, forecast, and achieve operational success. The inventory controls are useful, and the forecasting capabilities help us a lot. I really value the purchase orders and the sales order system, which is very good. The language we created with the SKUs also stands out for us.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I think they need to have more visibility to our dealers, like providing better one-touch acknowledgments from the sales order screen. Also, better reporting that would allow for more data in different PDFs and things like that.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana Cloud Inventory transforms our manufacturing by moving us from mostly manual inventory controls to an organized, cloud-based system that helps us plan, forecast, and achieve operational success.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hi Heikke,

We know moving on from mostly manual inventory management is no small thing. Really glad to know it's paying off and that planning and forecasting is a lot easier now.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We hope you keep enjoying Katana - our team is here for whatever you need.

  ### 17. Exceptionally User-Friendly with Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Laura S. | Office Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The site is extremely user-friendly, and the customer service is excellent. The onboarding process was smooth and thorough. There are also helpful resources available for any questions you might have. We've been needing a system to help more proactively track inventory and stay ahead of orders and are excited to start working with the Katana team.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Really don't have any complaints so far. We will be using ship station so in the future it would be nice to have an integration there. But for now, we'll be using extensiv.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Staying on top of our inventory, utilizing bar codes, and having the flexibility to adjust the bill of materials for each order have all been valuable for our company. These features allow us to concentrate on serving our customers, knowing that Katana is efficiently handling our inventory management.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey, Laura!
It's great to know Katana is helping your team stay on top of inventory and giving you time back to take care of your customers.
We're looking forward to seeing you grow!

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience, we really appreciate it. And thank you for the shoutout to our customer support team - we'll pass it along.

  ### 18. Effortless Inventory Management with Accurate Forecasting

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ashley K. | VP of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 17, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I love how user-friendly the experience is with Katana Cloud Inventory. The onboarding process was visually pleasing and easy to follow. Brendan, our onboarding specialist, did a fantastic job. I also appreciate how detailed the tracking is, from purchase order submission to receiving the product in the warehouse. It helps create a safety stock amount and auto-forecast future needs accurately. The initial setup of Katana Cloud Inventory was painless.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

We haven't run across anything to date that we do not like about Katana.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana Cloud Inventory solves inventory accuracy issues, enhances demand planning, forecasting, and tracking. It eliminates human error and insecurity from manual tracking, with a user-friendly experience and detailed order tracking.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Ashley,

Thank you for this great review! And for the shout out to Brendan - we'll be sure to pass it along.

We're excited to see your business and team grow with us.

  ### 19. Easy Daily Inventory Control with Seamless Integrations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Marcus C. | Senior Director of Warehousing and Distribution, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 15, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Ease of use for daily inventory control. Native integration with a number of our other software and e-commerce platforms. Fantastic implementation customer support experience with Brendan Chalifour our point of contact. Overall Cost is also much lower than our previous softwares.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Lack of multiple bin locations and clunky stock count processes. We are a franchisor and have annual audits of our entire warehouse and accounting.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Daily inventory control and order management for a fraction of the cost of what we were paying. Much easier to use than the ERP we are moving from.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Marcus,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review - and for the shoutout to Brendan!

It's always a good day when a customer is not only happy with Katana and our team, but also a lot happier than with their previous solutions.
Our team is already working on multiple bin locations, so do keep an eye out for that improvement.

Thanks again for trusting us with that transition!

  ### 20. Effortless Inventory Management with Room for Improvement

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mindy S.

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I really like the easiness of use that Katana Cloud Inventory offers. It allows us to quickly see what inventory is getting low and prioritize what we are making. The initial setup was also very easy. I give it a 10 out of 10 for recommendation.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

It would be nice if a new order came in with products in line for production if it could automatically recognize it and up the number to be made. Also, if it would automatically make sub-assemblies/parts that are needed.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Katana Cloud Inventory for tracking parts and products, ensuring we have the needed inventory. It quickly shows low inventory, helping us prioritize production. It's easy to use, which makes our processes more efficient.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hi Mindy,
We’ve worked hard to make Katana easy to implement and use, so this review - and your recommendation - were great to read.

We're continuously working on making Katana, and really appreciate your feedback.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review.

  ### 21. Intuitive and User-Friendly Experience

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Camilla A. | Finance administration and controlling, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 21, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I like that it is very easy to use and intuitive.
For any issue, immediate support is always available thanks to both chatbot and operator.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

You must be very careful when making changes, there should be a feature that allows you to go back and avoid deletion.
Important information is missing from the customer database, such as payment type, VAT and custom fields for agents or customer classification.
Lack of warehouse grouping by region, not allowing proper planning of product reordering.
Lack of Amazon native integration

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana has simplified inventory management. Being simple and intuitive, it is also used by other members of the team, who can retrieve the information they need on their own.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Camilla,

It's great to know we've simplified inventory management for you and that your team finds Katana enjoyable and easy to use!
Thank you for taking the time to share a review and valuable feedback. We're always working to make Katana even better.

  ### 22. Intuitive, User-Friendly Interface with Professional Service

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gerardo E. | Chief operations officer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

It´s interface is very friendly user, intuitive and the service was very professional

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

There was just one minur bug, which was agreed to be wprked on, nothing major and just an update for faster use, nothing that prevented me to work

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I especially like the inventory control features and how well it integrates with QuickBooks.

  ### 23. Our Experience with Katana MRP – Why We Left After 6 Years

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The user interface is decent for a web-based MRP

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

We were early adopters of Katana MRP, using it as our primary manufacturing resource planning system for over six years. In the beginning, Katana delivered exactly what we needed - solid functionality, reasonable pricing, and an easy-to-use interface that worked well for a small manufacturer like us with modest sales order volume. Initially, the pricing was fair and manageable. But once Katana began taking on outside investment and aggressively scaling, things started to change.

Over time, they revamped their pricing model multiple times. At first it was tied to relatively simple metrics like number of users, but later it shifted to limits based on sales order line items, then to sales orders and gross merchandise value (GMV). What sounded sophisticated in their marketing quickly became a huge headache for us: as a small shop selling mostly items around $10 each, our high order count, not our actual revenue, automatically bumped us into higher pricing tiers. So we ended up paying almost the same as companies doing $50 million+ in annual sales, despite using a fraction of the features and resources.

We’ve also experienced price changes mid-subscription period without meaningful notice, and being forced into annual negotiations simply to keep our plan. Year after year, it became clear that the company didn’t care about smaller customers anymore: their strategy seems squarely aimed at upmarket customers with big order volume and deep pockets - which pits small manufacturers like us at a disadvantage.

Frankly, the model feels punitive, not proportional. If your business sells a lot of small-ticket orders, you get punished with pricing far beyond the value you actually consume - and that’s simply not sustainable for a real small manufacturer.

In the end, after dealing with repeated increasing costs and painfully going around in circles with account reps who didn't take the time to understand our business, we pulled the plug and took the time and effort to migrate to a different MRP that met all our requirements. It is faster, easier to use, and roughly ¼ of the cost of Katana’s current pricing. That switch has been night and day for our team - not only financially but also operationally. On the plus side, Katana made it easy for us to export our data and we performed the data migration and cut-over to the new system entirely in-house.

Bottom line: Katana may still work for some companies, especially larger, growing SMBs with high-priced items and few orders, but for small manufacturers with many sales orders and modest item prices, their current pricing strategy simply doesn’t make sense anymore.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are no longer using Katana

**Official Response from Brendan C:**

> Thank you for sharing this, and for being with us for six years. That kind of loyalty means a lot.

We hear you on the pricing, and you're not alone in that feedback. As of February 2026, we've revamped our pricing model, for new customers as well as current customers who choose to switch to the new pricing, we've made changes based on exactly the kind of concerns raised here, with a new structure built to better accommodate businesses with high order volumes and lower price points. If you ever find yourself reconsidering, our team is always happy to walk you through what's changed.

We're glad the data export made the transition easier, and we wish you well with the new system.

  ### 24. Streamlined Inventory and Production Planning

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Divot B.

**Reviewed Date:** November 14, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I appreciate the Bill of Materials feature in Katana Cloud Inventory, which allows us to use the same material for multiple products we produce. This capability significantly enhances our efficiency in tracking inventory and planning production, making the entire process much smoother. Additionally, I value the planning aspects of the software that help us forecast units sold and determine how efficient we are, which is critical for our manufacturing business operations. Furthermore, even though the initial setup was a bit complicated, the dedicated support from Brendan on the onboarding team was invaluable, guiding us every step of the way and making a substantial difference in our overall experience with the platform.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I wish Katana Cloud Inventory integrated better with QuickBooks and Shopify. There seem to be specific workarounds required if I don't want to do wholesale orders in Shopify. Additionally, the initial setup was a little complicated, although the support from Brendan on the onboarding team made a huge difference.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Katana Cloud Inventory to track and plan inventory, forecast sales, and enhance production efficiency, making our manufacturing process smoother than it was with spreadsheets.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Thank you for such a detailed review!
It’s great to hear things feel smoother now compared to spreadsheets. When you get all your numbers live in the same place, the day-to-day usually feels a lot more manageable.

Really appreciate you mentioning Brendan and our onboarding team, as well, we’ll make sure to pass it along.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your experience. We took note of everything and will keep working to make Katana even better for your team.

  ### 25. So Many Features That Make Our Job Easier

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Beth G. | Office Administrator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 30, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

There are so many features that make our job so much easier

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Sometimes we see inconsistencies and it causes our website to inaccurately mark items out of stock

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

For the most part, we are able to manage our finished product inventory and our raw material inventory much easier than with previous programs we used. As well as previously we were using several programs for management, now everything is managed in one place

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Beth,
Really good to know Katana has been a step-up from previous experiences. We know how having stock and raw materials in one place can make life easier for the whole team.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience! We're here for you for any support you need along the way.

  ### 26. Katana increased my ability to succeed significantly.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan S. | OWNER, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Our inventory numbers have never been more accurate, and our shipping times have never been better. Katana integrates wonderfully with many platforms that help increase throughput decrease time to completion. Integrating with shipping platforms like Shiptheory or Shipstation was a huge benefit for us. I highly recommend that you figure out how to use the API/Webhook feature as well - once this is mastered the sky is the limit!

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

It could definitely be cheaper. I'm not a fan of the pricing structure, specifically the gap in pricing between the $899 package and the $1999 package. The fact that it puts you in the higher bracket based on the amount of sales orders (2000+/monthly) should be rethought - potentially add an in between bracket. It was very unsettling to start at $899/month when i was doing 1500 orders monthly just to have the price more than doubled to $2000/month within the first few months.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The biggest problem it solved was inventory control across multiple locations in an easy to use platform. Integrating with the shipping platform that has automation capabilities was also huge for streamlining the fulfillment process.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Ryan,
How great to read this - thank you for sharing your experience.
We're glad to know your team is seeing the benefits of our integrations and multi-location inventory control.

We're excited to keep working together and seeing your business grow - the sky is the limit!

  ### 27. User-Friendly Interface with Real-Time Visibility

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tomas B. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I really like the simple-to-use interface of Katana Cloud Inventory, which accommodates to our business needs well. It seems like it was a good solution for how our business operates. I also appreciate that it allows us to track what happens on the floor to have complete, almost real-time visibility. The initial setup was easy since we had the data prepared.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Some rigid features.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Katana Cloud Inventory for inventory tracking, outsourcing, and accounting, providing almost real-time visibility.

  ### 28. User-Friendly and Easy to Navigate

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Karen S. | Production Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 20, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I like that it is user-friendly, and everything is easy to see.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I don't like that it gives an average cost of products.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The real-time inventory helps everyone see what is available, giving more accurate answers to our customers.

  ### 29. Intuitive and Powerful Inventory Management for Manufacturing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** David S. | Chief Operations Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 04, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Katana is simple and intuitive. At the same time, it is a pretty powerful inventory system that allows you to get a lot of insight into your manufacturing processes and costs associated with them.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I wish it had a few additional things for my specific industry, such as the ability to create COAs, the ability to have SOPs saved in the program, and a better way to assign production steps after an item is completed.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us link our Shopify accounts, Quickbooks accounting, and inventory management all together.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hi David,
Simple and powerful is exactly the balance we aim for. Glad that's coming through!

Thanks for taking the time to share your feedback, we really appreciate it.

  ### 30. The simplest MRP to use by far

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** JE M. | President/Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Kanata MRP has been a pleasant surprise. It’s incredibly simple to use and the setup is lightning fast — we were able to get the whole system running in less than a day. Integration with our existing workflow was seamless, and the ability to collect shop floor time directly from the operators has made managing operations a lot easier. The interface is clean and intuitive, so even non-technical staff were comfortable after just a short introduction. I also appreciate how lightweight it is — it gives you what you need without all the clutter of big enterprise systems.

We like that it's not a rigid type of system. For other MRP, you can't even supress a product or a recipe if you have once manufactured it. Same with the flexibility to add or remove opration, add or remove materiel for a workorder.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

There are still a few things that could be improved. It would be nice to have the option to set a maximum output per resource or machine to help with more accurate capacity planning. One of the most difficult thing to do in our business is to set the delivery date four or orders. This feature could be a game changer for us.

The time collection feature works well overall, but I wish the system allowed you to see notes and punches for individual employees instead of just a total summary — that would make traceability a lot clearer.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana has honestly made our life so much easier. We are used to other rigid MRPs, but in Katana, everything’s connected: materials, orders, production… all updating in real time. You have the ability to modify orders and manufacturing orders on the fly without interuptiong the manufacturing process.

What I love most is how fast our team picked it up. Everyone was comfortable using it within few minutes. Our supply chain and purchasing process also move way faster now — it really keeps things flowing. The shop floor app is really simple to use for our operations, task completion, time tracking etc...

Overall, it’s simple, quick to set up, and super efficient for a small manufacturing business like ours.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Up and running in under a day, the whole team comfortable almost immediately - this was really great to read.
Flexibility is something we're genuinely proud of - we want Katana to adapt to your business, not the other way around - so it's good to know it's making a tangible difference for your team.

Thank you for taking the time to write such a detailed review and we hope you keep enjoying Katana!

  ### 31. Intuitive and Flexible—A Smooth Experience Overall

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tessa B. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 05, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Intuitive, flexible - super simple to follow, and to correct if need to make changes.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Can't create a Manufacturing Order with more than one SKU.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Workload in general - having all of our stock infor on the same place, and actually linked is a game changer for us.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Tessa,
We're happy that you're finding Katana flexible and easy to understand - and most of all that it has helped you take some weight off the team.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.

  ### 32. Well supported MRP option

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ash M. | Director of Technical Services, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 30, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I use Katana daily to manage my manufacturing and fulfillment channels for a single location. I came from tracking everything in spreadsheets so the features have been great and I find it pretty intuitive to use.
Love being able to track serial numbers and batches to know exactly what my customers are receiving and to have peace of mind in the event of a recall.
Having API access allowed my team to build custom integrations.
Customer service has been extremely attentive any time I've had an issue. Response times are usually in a matter of minutes, not hours.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Some features are released before they are fully working. There are some limitations on serial tracking, for example, you cannot include serialized items in a bundle.
Not for historical order management! There is no way to merge customers or quickly pull a list of a customer's previous orders.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana helps me know what I need to order and when. It keeps track of COGS and manufacturing hours so I can focus more on executing than administrating and updating spreadsheets

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey Ash,

This is exactly the kind of control and peace of mind we want to give our customers. It's great to know the upgrade from spreadsheets is going smoothly.

We'll make sure to pass along the kind words to the support team too!
Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

  ### 33. Easy to implement, great value for money

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 10, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Katana is very easy and quick to implement which means translates to driving value from the system quickly. The integration with quickbooks is easy to setup and works well. The system pricing is competitive and a 3rd party consultant was not required for implementation. Customer support is good, and the Katana product team is actively engaging customers to improve the system.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Katana could improve it's usability, specifically as it relates to traceability. It would be helpful if it could assign unique internal part numbering scheme automatically. It would also be helpful if some data fields could be made immutable, specifically sales and manufacturing order numbers. It would also say that SN and lot number traceability could be significantly improved. Being only able to use a SN on a "finished" product is limiting. We often receive materials already serialized and with the current system we have we can't use that for treacability. Lastly it would helpful it some standard analytics like First pass yield and total yield would be available under the insights tab. Computing these metrics manually seems like a lot of unnecessary work.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Katana we were using several software tools and excel to manage inventory, sales order management and manufacturing execution. Katana is able to provide a single solution for this which ensures various teams within our organization are working from the same source of truth.

  ### 34. Simple, Cost-Effective, and Effortless to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mauricio D. | Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

It's simple, cost effective, easy to use

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

There are some good features that need extra budget if you want to use it

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They helped us solve almost all the issues we faced in the implementation, however we could not find a way arround createing a sales price based on cost on the products that are manufactured. We still have to do it by hand, or by using other tools.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hi Mauricio,
"Simple, cost-effective, easy to use" is the experience we're working for.
We hear you on the sales pricing limitation and we're taking note.

Thanks for taking the time to leave a review.

  ### 35. Very Easy to Understand and Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dave R. | Executive Vice President of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 11, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Very easy and intuitive to understand and use.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Not being able to add information to invoices before it goes to quickbooks.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating PO's, invoices and inventory control.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hi Dave,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
We’ve worked hard to make Katana easy to understand, so teams can pick it right up and start seeing the benefits fast. We’re glad you’re enjoying it!

  ### 36. Intuitive and Adaptable, but Needs Better Audit Traceability

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bart B. | Supply Chain Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 16, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Katana is very intuitive and yet adaptable to diverse business applications, two features are are very difficult to design together.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Audit traceability to transaction changes are not yet a feature, but is planned. It took quite a bit of negotiation and analysis to determine if consignment models of inventory would work in the software, but ultimately it was concluded that it could, and it does.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana Cloud enables us to easily trace manufacturing hours and ingredients usage, as well as track stock (incoming and outgoing)

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

> Hey, Bart!
Really glad Katana has been a good fit for your team.
Keep an eye on our roadmap, we're constantly working to improve Katana further.

Thank you for taking the time to share your review.

  ### 37. Makes tracking inventory a lot easier

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jill-Elly P. | Operations Associate, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 05, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Katana is great for keeping track of sales orders, serial numbers for each product, creating purchase orders, and making sure we have the necessary stock to fulfill orders. It's easy to use and accounts for just about any product you are selling. I also like that support is always available whenever I have a question or come across an issue, they always find a solution pretty quickly or update me with progress. I would highly recommend this service for any company needing to track their inventory.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I do dislike a certain feature on Katana where you have to add serial numbers 1 by 1 to a sales order. This is extremely time consuming when there is an order with 500-1000 key fobs or vehicle tags and can take hours trying to add each serial number. Sometimes the website crashes when adding 50 serial numbers at a time so we have to do only 10 at a time which makes it even more time consuming. I feel this is an easy fix as you are able to add 500 serial numbers in a batch to a purchase order but not to a sales order. I brought this up with engineering but they are not prioritizing this. Another feature request would be to color code the unpaid to red and paid to green. It's currently all green and makes it a bit confusing.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana is helping us keep track of all our inventory, serial numbers, sales orders, and purchase orders. It helps solve the problem of never running out of inventory because it helps you plan for that by showing you negative stock numbers and with the planning and insight tabs. It also benefits us because it utilizes QuickBooks to tie in the invoice to the sales order so we can easily track which accounts are paid and which accounts are not.

  ### 38. 7/10 ERP System, but best we could find for our size and requirements

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

It does the things it says it does - keeps us organized as far as inventory, manufacturing, purchasing, and allows us to create quotes, sales orders, and purchase orders. It is the backbone for our business and we use it every day across 5-6 different personnel. It was relatively easy to get up and running which is great. Allows us to reference records which we were either doing manually or offline beforehand (e.g. printing out paper forms). Has basic functionality for insights and analysis for planning and forecasting that is better than what we did before (nonexistent). Helpful that is also integrates natively into Shopify and Quickbooks online. Customer support is good in that they listen, but they haven't really solved or addressed many of our problems and requirements.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Some parts are frustratingly difficult to use. Print templates are almost impossible to customize, and they make our business look less professional than we would like. There is also no project management functionality. We have to export all our SOs and POs to Asana (via a zapier integration that is always breaking, that we have to build/maintain ourselves), in order to have an internal dialogue about SO and PO statuses. It would be so much better if Katana built this into their solution. The basic analytics are really just basic - again we have to export all our orders to gain insight into our "on-time fulfillment rate," even though all that data is inside Katana. And although Katana allows us to use batches, it doesn't actually use that to tell us whether we can fulfill an order, so the feature is only about 50% useful. Also the interface isn't the easiest to use, you constantly have to open new tabs because it never opens a new window.

If there is a better platform, we would likely switch to it, but for our size and the cost, I am not sure there is.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana helps us digitize our entire manufacturing, inventory, and part of our sales process. Everything can be tracked in the system and shared (with permissions) across departments and personnel. It helps us keep a record of transactions from which to plan our strategy and forecast for our business.

  ### 39. Easy-to-Navigate UI and Great Support, but Inventory Deadlines and Features Need Work

**Rating:** 3.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 21, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

UI is very easy to navigate and customer service is great. Fairly easy to get started and onboarding was thorough.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Katana is more focused on deadlines based on production and we need deadlines based on inventory. Many features are only developed 80% of the way.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the problem of tracking our inventory. It helps us not waste time counting parts, guessing order quantities, and making orders of the wrong number.

**Official Response from Brendan C:**

> Hi there! We're happy to hear you like our UI and have had good experiences with our support team, that means a lot to us and both are things we care deeply about.

On features feeling incomplete, we'd love to hear more specifics if you're able to share, as it helps us understand exactly where the gaps are. As a platform serving businesses across all industries, we're constantly working to ensure Katana works for everyone.

We're glad Katana is helping you cut down on manual counting and guesswork, and we're looking forward to making the experience better for you.

  ### 40. Great Manufacturing Features with Excellent Onboarding Support

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Cosmetics | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 31, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

It has great features for a manufacturing facility, and the onboarding support has been excellent.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

So far, we don’t dislike anything. If possible, we’d like to see multiple supplier options, costs, and part numbers for each item, rather than having only one.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accurate inventory counts, reliable conversions from the units we purchase to the units we use, and an app that associates can use during the manufacturing process are the key things I’m looking for.

**Official Response from Andreia Mendes:**

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I like Katana Cloud Inventory for its ease of use. The manufacturing order feature is particularly valuable to me, as well as the ability to make document adjustments. Setting it up was very easy, and even though I found it a bit confusing at first, the customer support was amazing and really helped me through the process.

Some reporting and the user interface, especially the stock and product screens.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana Cloud Inventory provides real-time inventory syncing with Shopify, helps with purchase and manufacturing order creation, and allows creating multiple products from lots of materials.

  ### 42. Great Customer Service

**Reviewed by:** Tamarah C. | Company Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 20, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Katana has been great to work with as we scale up our manufacturing capacity. They are readily available for questions and happy to work with the goals and deadlines of our company.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Any of the issues we have had in the past have been resolved. Katana takes user feedback seriously and has adapted to fit our needs.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Mantainting our inventory structure and inventory contacts. We are in the process of upgrading our plan to accommodate the growth of our company. I have also appreciated some of the webinars I have been able to attend that provide helpful insight to topics pertaining to various areas of a company.

  ### 43. Outstanding Support

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I found the subscription cost to be quite expensive.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Katana assists me in managing my inventory system, allowing me to track when I need to make purchases and also to oversee material usage effectively.

  ### 44. Very Straightforward and Easy to Use

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stacy A. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2026

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Very straight forward. The support staff are amazing.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

We haven't found anything yet that we aren't satisfied with.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Inventory and streamlining our manufacturing processes.

  ### 45. Intuitive and Easy to Use, But Needs Better Package Tracking

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Textiles | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 22, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The software is easy to use, with an intuitive layout that makes navigation straightforward. It requires minimal training to get started.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

There is no option to track quantities by package, which is a limitation for us. Our inventory is measured in pounds, and we use different package sizes for various amounts. It would be helpful to have a feature that allows us to track the weights of individual packages by batch.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The ability to track costs by batch is a useful feature. It allows for more precise monitoring and management of expenses associated with each batch, making it easier to analyze and control production costs.

  ### 46. Katana - Helpful for Manufacturing

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ponder B. | Operations Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

We like using Katana for our inventory and materials tracking. It is easy to sync to our DTC sales site, as well as our wholesale sales platform. The traceability add on is most helpful to us.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

The inability to delete items instead of archiving them without having them be removed from previous make orders is frustrating. The inability to adjust costing without doing an inventory correction is also not idea.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to manage several different locations of inventory, as well as keep track of both shipping orders, pickup orders, and local delivery.

  ### 47. Great manufacturing and inventory management platform for small business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alison B. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 03, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

We acquired a small business that had no prior technology. We were able to quickly get Katana up and running and it integrates with our key tools (Shopify and Quickbooks) this made it an easy decision.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

For most businesses, you will likely need the higher cost versions. We started with the lowest and have quickly increased our cost in order to get the key features we need to manage our business. They have a lot of online help docs but to talk to an actual person you have to push for that.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Managing high cost inventory and giving visibility to inventory movement history. Organizing our small scale production with outsourced contractors.

  ### 48. User-Friendly and Fast Onboarding, But Needs Better File and Sorting Options

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** James G. | Production Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 23, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

User friendly and quick onboarding along with helpful personnel. Brendan was a significant help!

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Not able to attach files and sort certain column fields

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Easy of use, tracking and quicker flow of work management.

  ### 49. Extremely useful for batch control and traceability for mushroom food supplement producer

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Robin G. | Managing Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 25, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Saves us lots of time and satisfies national food authoirty audits for traceability.
easy to use.
good client support

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

minor things that could make it more suited to our business. Zapier data mapping could be easier.
Price is very high for a small company like ours that does not need or use all the functionality

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

traceability with multiple ingredeints is complex without katana

  ### 50. Katana is instrumental for our business

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Manufacturing | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 19, 2025

**What do you like best about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

Katana is instrumental for our business. The ease of use and "color-coding" nature of the interface makes it extremely easy to implement and teach. After considering almost all other comparable products on the market (SOS, Fishbowl, Digit, Oodoo, etc.), Katana was the clear winner visualizing "ingredient availability," which is key for our business.

**What do you dislike about Katana Cloud Inventory?**

I wish Katana had a few more features specific to our business. I would like the ability to sum custom fields (weight, for example), the custom forms are difficult to work with and a bit inconsistent, and the I would like the ability to determine material costs from operations costs in the QuickBooks Online integration. Admittedly, these issues are specific to our business needs.

**What problems is Katana Cloud Inventory solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Solving the question of "do we have X ingredients on the floor to make Y product?" Katana does this intuitively and easily.
