Sage Intacct Reviews & Product Details

We are in Sage InTacct on a daily bases using the Accounts Payable, Cash Management, and Reporting features. I love the interactive reporting that gives me real time results if I get my information in there. With the API tools we are easily able to get transactions transferred from our policy processing platform to InTacct. We worked with a 3rd party consultant to get the API tools even more refined to get the transactions in there exactly how we wanted them. Sage InTacct is a little large for all our uses. I adopted this system from my predecessor and I was not really trained in the full functionality of the tool. With our third party adoption I'm also not able to access the community forum to get information from the community, which can be a little frustrating at time. Being able to keep multiple tabs open for different entities within the same login is a game changer. I also really appreciate how quickly I can move between modules. The custom reports are extremely helpful once you know how to use them. The CSV uploads for checking accounts, 1099 transaction updates, adding bills, adding invoices, adding GLs, adding vendors, and adding customers are amazing and make those updates much easier to manage. There isn’t a proper report that clearly shows which bills, or which parts of bills, are included in the 1099 filing. It seems to rely only on vendor payments, so we had to do a lot of back-and-forth to figure it out. Also, when bills or invoices are entered at the top level, different views and reports don’t show which entity they were entered under when you run a report or when you’re viewing the bill/invoice page at the top level. What I like most about Sage Intacct is its flexibility and strong reporting capabilities. The use of dimensions makes it easy to analyze financial data across departments, projects, or locations without creating an overly complex chart of accounts. I also appreciate how easy it is to drill down into transactions to understand where numbers are coming from. One thing I dislike about Sage Intacct is that some processes are not as intuitive as they could be, especially for new users. Certain tasks require several steps or navigating through multiple menus, which can take time to learn. Customizing reports and configurations can also require a deeper understanding of the system, so there can be a learning curve for teams that are new to the platform. It seems to me that Sage Intacct has many tools and functionalities. We switched to Sage Intacct because it has too many functionalities. While some things may be lacking, it makes up for it with many other functionalities and add-ons that the application has. It helps us a lot in the accounting area when it comes to recording, modifying, and adjusting invoices, as well as in the automated calculation of taxes and the download of complete reports. Additionally, the connection with other applications, like Rippling, allows us to synchronize transactions with corporate credit cards. I also value the greater customization option that Sage Intacct offers to create specific and detailed reports, something we didn't have with our previous software, QuickBooks. It seems to me that there should be more connectivity with other third parties, for example, with banks, in order to have updated information every day to reconcile accounts more easily. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how easy it is to maneuver through the application. The product is intuitive and simple for managers and leaders to drill into the application to find their own answers. The application has allowed us to be almost entirely paperless and simplifies closing the books on a monthly basis. In addition by granting our auditors read only access to the application our audit has become more efficient and less burdensome for staff as auditors can drill and pull supporting documents themselves cutting down on requests for additional supporting documents. Custom report writing is a bit cumbersome and takes some learning especially when it comes to understanding reporting groups. When adding new accounts the user needs to be aware that the new account may not be properly mapped to one of the groups and could therefore put reports out of balance. Continues to be reliable for me. It has more features than what I can use. The most important thing for me continues to be that reports can be run with about 10 different dimensions. This allows me to slice and dice data to create reports that I need. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It includes useful new features such as automated payment setup for wire transfers. This has significantly reduced the time spent on manual payment processing, as we can now directly generate the bank file and upload it to the bank portal. Overall, this feature is very helpful. It would be better to have a field that allows adding multiple bank details. We often receive requests to transfer certain payments to a secondary bank account. Currently, to process such payments, we need to change the existing bank details, which is not ideal. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The interface is easy to use and very user-friendly. Overall, the program has simplified our accounting. Since I work for a larger company with multiple locations and real estate entities, it makes it easy to transition between accounts within one program. The only thing I’ve disliked about Sage Intacct in the past was the ongoing disruption with the bank feeds, but over the last few months it seems like that issue has been resolved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

One downside of Sage Intacct is that customization and report building can sometimes feel complex for new users and may require additional training. I like Sage Intacct for its extensive menu and customizable features, which make pulling reports and working on financials more flexible and aligned with client requirements. The export options and the build feature also give me a clearer perspective when handling financial tasks.
