  ### 1. Great Private Social Feed for Sharing Info, but Implementation Takes Time

**What do you like best about Hivebrite?**

I like that it is a private social media since we are not a company who uses any other social media. It allows us to disseminate information to a group we created without using email or other methods.

**What do you dislike about Hivebrite?**

The implementation is long, and it requires a lot of babysitting. We don't have the staff to fully appreciate the features. It is also somewhat inconvenient that they don't have a robust US team, so most of our questions need to wait 24 hours to be answered due to time zone differences.

**What problems is Hivebrite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is helping us solve a need that our customers wanted to be able to communicate with each other via a social media network, but we wanted to control the medium on which they do that.

  ### 2. Useful for Matching, but Disappointing Multilingual

**What do you like best about Hivebrite?**

I really love using Hivebrite to create our platform; it establishes connections and facilitates matching between co-founders. What I like the most are the matching recommendations that help keep our community engaged. They allow new users to stay informed about other members and encourage old users to return to meet new ones. This promotes effective exchanges between co-founders.

**What do you dislike about Hivebrite?**

In fact, everything related to the activation form, I find that it's not really compatible with the filters we're looking for in the People Directory, there are incompatibilities, but really the biggest incompatibility is with the multilingual functions. We're trying to have a community that is bilingual in English and French. Then the functionalities actually don't allow us to have good translations and an activation form or a filter form that includes both a French version and an English version. We are forced to have dual displays in many places, which affects the UX part. There were problems with the translation. An initial version was in English only, and when I had to do the French, I had to start over from scratch, everything I had done in English wasn't necessarily final because there hadn't been a translation. Otherwise, I find that the initial installation was relatively okay, but at the same time, there was a lot of back and forth.

**What problems is Hivebrite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use Hivebrite to manage a community of co-founders. It facilitates the connection between project leaders and start-up founders. The matching recommendations help keep our community engaged and promote effective exchanges between users.

**What do you like best about Hivebrite?**

I like how open to feedback Hivebrite is. On the various different topically based zoom meetings the team always leaves room for product feedback.

**What do you dislike about Hivebrite?**

Hivebrite does not integrate well with other softwares, so we still have to use seperate systems to acheive our baseline goal.

**What problems is Hivebrite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hivebrite is allowing us to have an internal community where our various agencies can collobrate with one another and share resources.

**What do you like best about Hivebrite?**

Hivebrite provides a big library of options for website customization, allowing you to personalize it practically to the full extent. The Hivebrite employees are very invested in helping their clients as much as possible and provide lots of support and communication.

**What do you dislike about Hivebrite?**

The website is still quite slow, which hinders users' engagement with it.

**What problems is Hivebrite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Hivebrite is allowing us to create a web of communication within the company.

**What do you like best about Hivebrite?**

You can create a community of like-minded people

**What do you dislike about Hivebrite?**

The platform is complicated to use as a first-timer. 
The set-up process is long and takes time.
The features available are limited, with little or no room for customisation.
The platform has no phone contacts for any of their customer service team, which is frustrating, especially when you require urgent help.
No dedicated customer service person.
Tracking of community users usage patterns is very limited.

**What problems is Hivebrite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have created a community platform that has allowed us to have an online resource centre for our community.  However, due to the platform's complexity, our community members have not been able to engage as much as we would have liked them to.

**What do you like best about Hivebrite?**

I like the The live feed. I feel like most immediate needs are met there. The instant messaging and events and maps are great features. There are a couple of groups that run well, but without constant facilitation by a moderator they fall flat because members find the groups cumbersome to use. 
I like that there is no advertising or cross site tracking. The back office is relatively simple to use.
The news feature and pinned post is quite helpful.

**What do you dislike about Hivebrite?**

The notification feature is awful. Take away the likes notifications. Group the "so and so commented" notifications so that you don't have to open the same post 20 times each time a person commented. 
In notifications say if the comment is for a live feed or what group. If somebody responds to your comment you have to go throughout all 50 comments to find your comment and see if they are indeed talking to you. Tagging a person in comments doesn't always work.  Groups are hard to manage as you can't track your activity in them or search within them. 
It would be nice to turn off notifications for certain posts or forums. Just because I start a forum as an admin doesn't mean I want a notification every time somebody adds a recipe to the recipe forum. 
The buggy live feed is frustrating. Also the inability to sort the live feed is frustrating. 
Members want notifications for live feed posts in their groups. It would be great for admins to get a notification when a comment is reported. It would be great if users could use the files to manage adding videos etc rather than it just being an admin feature. 
It's a bit cumbersome to use on a mobile device which is a huge complaint with members. Many memeners refuse to use Google which leaves them with a glitchy experience.
A search feature for the live feed would be great.

**Recommendations to others considering Hivebrite:**

Be sure that they know that the functionality is not quite there. If you’re expecting notifications to work like Facebook or Instagram or even Twitter, it's not there yet.

**What problems is Hivebrite solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It got our group off Facebook which is great but ease of use isn't quite there and customers are super frustrated. The privacy aspect is amazing. It's a much more relaxed experience than Facebook. It feels more safe and secure for sure. We would like to see the notifications feature drastically  improved  to improve the user experience.

Hivebrite is not 100% customizable + there are many problems regarding the languages (sometimes you can't configure, rename or translate content in the platform). Also we had some issues with the API

It's not better than LinkedIn. It's "one more" platform.
