I'd say Ansarada's AI-driven due diligence tools are a real standout, worth a close look especially for deals with large document volumes, and Datasite's recent MCP integration for connecting AI assistants directly to the deal room is worth asking about too. We ran a diligence cycle last quarter where we connected an assistant directly to the Datasite room for first-pass Q&A drafting, work that used to mean a junior associate pulling documents, reading them, and drafting a response to buyer's counsel one question at a time. AI-assisted diligence is becoming a real differentiator in virtual data room software. VDR tools differ more on usability than on security these days.

Papermark's worth comparing against Datasite and Ideals, newer option but genuinely worth a look, the UI alone makes associates noticeably faster at organizing a data room from scratch. All three keep showing up whenever we look across virtual data room providers more broadly, not just the investment-banking-specific shortlist. Interface quality matters more than people expect in virtual data room software when juniors live in it daily. AI diligence is a growing differentiator among the best virtual data room software.
