Extend has made managing online payments and subscriptions so much easier for our remote team. I love how quickly we can issue virtual cards for team members or one-off transactions without going through lengthy approval chains. The controls are clear, the interface is intuitive, and it keeps our accounting organized — every transaction is easy to track and categorize. What do you like best about Extend?

The user interface is simple and easy to navigate. It provides a secure method for sharing card information with our vendors, which gives us peace of mind. Additionally, the process of implementing new cards is quick and efficient. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Extend?

The main problem I encounter with Extend is that sometimes charges appear as pending for an extended period, only for me to later discover that they were actually declined. What do you like best about Extend?

I find Extend incredibly efficient for booking hotel rooms safely using virtual cards, minimizing the risk of fraudulent use of our credit cards. The initial setup process was very straightforward, and I appreciated that our American Express representative guided us through it completely. I'm reassured by the significant security benefits, as we've not experienced any fraudulent charges or compromises on our credit cards since using Extend. The assurance that our American Express main cards remain uncompromised is wonderful, and I feel confident recommending the American Express virtual card through Extend for the protection it offers to the primary card. "Effortless Virtual Card Management with Extend"
What do you like best about Extend?

I find Extend incredibly beneficial for my team because it allows us to use our American Express cards to create virtual credit cards, which is essential for granting more team members access to a credit card without compromising security. The fact that American Express covers the cost ensures no additional expenses for us, making it a cost-effective solution. Setting up Extend was exceptionally easy, requiring minimal effort, though getting the primary cardholder to set it up took a little time. However, the ease of creating virtual cards and setting limits is a standout feature for me, as it streamlines the process of managing expenses and securing transactions. Extend enhances our workflow by ensuring our credit cards remain secure while still providing access to necessary funds for contractors and test orders. As long as the partnership with American Express continues without extra costs, I am committed to using Extend and highly recommend it, having rated it a solid ten out of ten for recommending it to others. What do you like best about Extend?

I really like the ability to track my company's virtual card expenditures and add an accounting code that our accounting team uses to charge against. This makes it really convenient for me, since I have two different organizational charges that come in. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Extend?

I had an issue where something I purchased (software-wise) was a legitimate charge, but I couldn't get a receipt. It was less than $20, but there wasn't an easy way to stop the alerts from coming in, since our rules engine requires a receipt uploaded for every purchase. This took a lot of effort on my part, and with accounting to figure out an override, which ended up removing the rule for that day in time and then re-applying it. What do you like best about Extend?

Extend makes it really easy to manage company spending without needing a whole new credit card or bank. I love that you can create virtual cards on the fly for anything-- vendors, employees, subscriptions, you name it. It’s super simple to use, both for admins and team members. The real-time tracking and automatic reconciliation features are awesome because they save so much time at the end of the month. What do you dislike about Extend?

I’d say it could offer more integrations with other accounting or expense tools — it works well with the basics, but having more options would be great. Also, it depends on whether your bank partners with them, so not every card works. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Extend's virtual card functionality has been invaluable, allowing us to forecast expenses better and speeding up reconciliation processes. I can swiftly identify missing data and handle fraudulent charges efficiently without having to cancel the main card. This feature ensures better protection of the physical card and streamlines our expense management. I also enjoy the ability to send virtual cards to internal teams and guests, which has been essential for our operations. The prompts that remind users to submit missing receipts or important details are also extremely useful, ensuring accountability and easing administrative burdens. What do you dislike about Extend?

I experience lag with the software, which is frustrating, particularly during reconciliation and researching charges. It's a bit finicky, causing inconvenience in these areas. Additionally, there is a lack of a feature that prompts users to enter cost codes or expense codes, along with the absence of automated reminders for missing information like receipts and cost codes. I also find the reconciliation process could be improved, especially in aligning Extend transactions with our Amex statements for better financial management. What do you like best about Extend?

What I love the most about extend is the fact that I have full control over what cards to authorize what cards to give out and what cards are actually active to pay bills. There are a number of pieces of free trial software that I will try out but sometimes we'll normally forget that I have active this is a great solution for that to allow me to demo things from my business without having them charge me later as a forgetting tax. Additionally I love the fact that I can set full control over what gets spent and when and protect my primary card behind a firewall. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Extend?

What I like best is the security that our actual credit card number isn't spread all over the web at different online purchase sites which tend to get hacked and compromised, leading to fraudulent charges on our account. With Extend, I can not only limit the dollar amount of exposure, but also create different ghost account numbers to use on each different online account for purchases. What do you dislike about Extend?

What is least helpful about Extend is that the person with the Admin status cannot see the account numbers disbursed to other people. I feel that the person who is approving the new card number and amount should be able to see full card number details. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
