I'm unsure about some aspects that could be improved with Extend. However, one thing that bothers me is that payments are limited to AMEX only.

I like Extend's great user interface and tools. They also have great customer service. The initial setup was extremely easy, and their customer service helped us through all of our needs, ensuring we were set up to go from the beginning.

Integration with American Express. The timing of Extend reports is a little bit different than our current reconciliation state.

I like that Extend allows us to create individual credit card numbers for each application, which means each case is unique and we can easily track back to specific cases. I appreciate the safety aspect because Extend provides a safe way to pay fees without exposing our actual credit card number to the web. The initial setup was pretty simple too.

I wish I would be able to get a notification or email when a virtual card is charged so that we can know in real time when the funds are being paid/debited.

The ease of making new virtual credit cards, and also to terminate those which are no longer needed or compromised.  Also helps to isolate transactions to determine origin and specific details for categorization purposes.

It was a little unclear on how set-up a recurring vs one-time/expiring card, the naming isn;t exactly intuitive, but once learned there is no issue.

The user interface is simple and easy to navigate. It provides a secure method for sharing card information with our vendors, which gives us peace of mind. Additionally, the process of implementing new cards is quick and efficient.

The main problem I encounter with Extend is that sometimes charges appear as pending for an extended period, only for me to later discover that they were actually declined. This can cause issues, especially if the recipient has not received the funds after the typical 2-3 day window it takes for Amex to process the transaction.

We often experience fraudulent charges, and Extend has been instrumental in helping us identify who is misusing our card. This has saved us considerable time and money by reducing the need to resolve issues directly with Amex.

I find the sign-up process for Extend very easy, and I like how responsive the website is. The virtual card creation feature has been the most useful part for me.

**What do you dislike about Extend?**

The website format does not nicely support right-clicking to get more information in a new tab. It does not keep track of where you clicked when you go to a new screen; so when you go back, you end up back on top of the list instead of where you were at. It also limits you to 100 in the free version, and that applies to your whole account instead of per card.

I like Extend because of the ability to attach receipts directly in the account. Previously, I had to use Google Drive folders for receipts, but now I can log into the account and attach receipts right there. Also, it helps me keep track of which receipts are missing. The initial setup was straightforward, and issuing the cards was an easy process—we have 27 on our account.

We get a lot of declines and don't know why.

Only problem I have ran into is went trying to use the Extend system on Walmart.com it would not go through, but that might have been a Walmart issue.

I kinda dislike how the it requires 2FA when I am logged in, as the account is registered to my director. other than that i HAVE NO ISSUE WITH THE PERFORMANCE.

I find Extend incredibly efficient for booking hotel rooms safely using virtual cards, minimizing the risk of fraudulent use of our credit cards. The initial setup process was very straightforward, and I appreciated that our American Express representative guided us through it completely. I'm reassured by the significant security benefits, as we've not experienced any fraudulent charges or compromises on our credit cards since using Extend. The assurance that our American Express main cards remain uncompromised is wonderful, and I feel confident recommending the American Express virtual card through Extend for the protection it offers to the primary card. Overall, the efficiency, simplicity, and security provided by Extend align perfectly with our needs.

I actually don’t have any feature that I dislike about extend .  It has never failed to keep our AX account safe & secure

I find Extends UX very user-friendly and intuitive. The chatbot provides quick answers to most questions, and card issuance is very fast. So far, we haven’t experienced any issues with data breaches or anything related to payments.

Extend often lags, especially when it’s reflecting changes to budgets, amounts, and similar updates. I’d really like to see a more robust dashboard that clearly shows budgets and amounts, and also highlights cards that are close to expiring. I’d also love mobile wallet enablement.

Extend is helping us improve spend visibility by adding more control over company spending, while also providing a safety net that helps protect us from fraud.

Previously, we dealt with a lot of fraud that led to frequent card replacements, which meant we had to re-enter and set up new information each time. Extend helps prevent this, so our services are never disrupted.

There is not a way to permanently set filters to only show active credit cards, so my wallet will show over 50 cards I have to manually filter each time.

Extend streamlines the issuance of VCCs. This benefits me as the VCCs are approved and issued quickly for use.

I find Extend incredibly beneficial for my team because it allows us to use our American Express cards to create virtual credit cards, which is essential for granting more team members access to a credit card without compromising security. The fact that American Express covers the cost ensures no additional expenses for us, making it a cost-effective solution. Setting up Extend was exceptionally easy, requiring minimal effort, though getting the primary cardholder to set it up took a little time. However, the ease of creating virtual cards and setting limits is a standout feature for me, as it streamlines the process of managing expenses and securing transactions. Extend enhances our workflow by ensuring our credit cards remain secure while still providing access to necessary funds for contractors and test orders. As long as the partnership with American Express continues without extra costs, I am committed to using Extend and highly recommend it, having rated it a solid ten out of ten for recommending it to others.

**What do you like best about Extend?**

I really like the ability to track my company's virtual card expenditures and add an accounting code that our accounting team uses to charge against. This makes it really convenient for me, since I have two different organizational charges that come in.

**What do you dislike about Extend?**

I had an issue where something I purchased (software-wise) was a legitimate charge, but I couldn't get a receipt. It was less than $20, but there wasn't an easy way to stop the alerts from coming in, since our rules engine requires a receipt uploaded for every purchase. This took a lot of effort on my part, and with accounting to figure out an override, which ended up removing the rule for that day in time and then re-applying it. That's my only gripe (and normally we always have a receipt).

**What problems is Extend solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to maintain a credit card that pays for a monthly budget to cover recurring and ad hoc expenses for our technology team. Many managers within our company use this, so it's really easy to distribute and maintain compliance.

Extend makes it really easy to manage company spending without needing a whole new credit card or bank. I love that you can create virtual cards on the fly for anything-- vendors, employees, subscriptions, you name it. It’s super simple to use, both for admins and team members. The real-time tracking and automatic reconciliation features are awesome because they save so much time at the end of the month. Plus, it works with the credit cards we already use, so setup was basically effortless. The platform feels modern, clean, and really intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Extend?**

I’d say it could offer more integrations with other accounting or expense tools — it works well with the basics, but having more options would be great. Also, it depends on whether your bank partners with them, so not every card works.

**What problems is Extend solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Extend helps us get rid of a lot of the headaches that come with managing company credit cards. Before, we were constantly sharing cards or waiting on approvals, which made tracking expenses a pain. Now, we can instantly create virtual cards for specific vendors, projects, or employees — no more card sharing or messy reimbursements. It’s also helped a ton with visibility and control. We can see spending in real time and set limits so nothing gets out of hand. Plus, the automatic transaction categorization and reconciliation save us a ton of time during month-end close. Overall, it’s made our spending process faster, more organized, and way easier to manage.

I can swiftly identify missing data and handle fraudulent charges efficiently without having to cancel the main card. I also enjoy the ability to send virtual cards to internal teams and guests, which has been essential for our operations. The prompts that remind users to submit missing receipts or important details are also extremely useful, ensuring accountability and easing administrative burdens. Overall, Extend has become an integral tool for our company, enhancing financial oversight and operational efficiency.

**What do you dislike about Extend?**

I experience lag with the software, which is frustrating, particularly during reconciliation and researching charges. It's a bit finicky, causing inconvenience in these areas. Additionally, there is a lack of a feature that prompts users to enter cost codes or expense codes, along with the absence of automated reminders for missing information like receipts and cost codes. I also find the reconciliation process could be improved, especially in aligning Extend transactions with our Amex statements for better financial management.

I use Extend for virtual cards, which improves spending forecasting and speeds up reconciliation. It helps identify missing data, manage fraudulent charges, and protects the main card.

**What do you like best about Extend?**

What I love the most about extend is the fact that I have full control over what cards to authorize what cards to give out and what cards are actually active to pay bills. There are a number of pieces of free trial software that I will try out but sometimes we'll normally forget that I have active this is a great solution for that to allow me to demo things from my business without having them charge me later as a forgetting tax. Additionally I love the fact that I can set full control over what gets spent and when and protect my primary card behind a firewall.

Honestly, not a lot I love how transparent they are about the features and pricing

It's helping me solve quite frankly a larger problem of cash flow management that normal credit cards with automated draws don't allow you to manage more in depth.

What I like best is the security that our actual credit card number isn't spread all over the web at different online purchase sites which tend to get hacked and compromised, leading to fraudulent charges on our account.  With Extend, I can not only limit the dollar amount of exposure, but also create different ghost account numbers to use on each different online account for purchases.

**What do you dislike about Extend?**

What is least helpful about Extend is that the person with the Admin status cannot see the account numbers disbursed to other people.  I feel that the person who is approving the new card number and amount should be able to see full card number details.

**What problems is Extend solving and how is that benefiting you?**

A business problem we've had that Extend is solving for us now is by keeping our actual credit card number from getting stolen online.  This keeps us able to use the account with confidence knowing we won't have downtime due to fraud and the need to have the credit card company send us a new card and new number.

**What do you like best about Extend?**

Extend connects to QB and all of our credit card charges can be directly inputed and coded.  The virtual cards is the primary appeal because we can create different cards for each category and it takes a lot of manual work out of it for us.

**What do you dislike about Extend?**

There have been some errors when it has not exported correctly which then causes even more confusion. I really wish we could get notifications when budgets are running low because otherwise cards just got declined with no warning.

**What problems is Extend solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving categorizing credit card charges which clears up a ton of time and is less prone to human error. It also puts the accountants (myself) one step away from the charges which is a better security measure.
