What do you like best about Avaza?

Avaza has been a great fit for my consulting workflow. I’ve used it for over five years to manage time tracking, billing, and expenses across multiple clients, and the biggest hidden gem for me is how easy it is to enter hourly details and give clients visibility into exactly what I’m working on. That transparency makes billing cleaner and helps clients feel connected to the work without adding extra admin on my side.

I also appreciate the flexibility in invoicing and payments. Some clients pay by wire transfer, some by check, and having the option for credit card payments is a big plus for the clients who prefer that route. I also have monthly clients who request a set number of hours, and Avaza makes it easy to switch between clients and keep everything organized. It’s reliable, simple to use, and has become a core part of how I run my business. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Avaza?

One area I’d like to see improved is expense documentation visibility for clients. When I upload receipt images for expenses, those backup images are not easily available for the client to download and review along with the invoice. Because of that, I usually have to send the receipts separately after billing, which creates extra manual work and adds another step for both sides. What do you like best about Avaza?

I use Avaza for project management, managing lots of projects and tasks assigned by different team members. It helps me solve workflow problems and allocate resources within the design team when I get projects from various people in the marketing team. What do you dislike about Avaza?

One important thing which I would want is that adding stakeholders within Avaza is a very complex thing, and you have to go into project settings and add one user at a time. I feel I should have an opportunity of adding multiple users inside the project setting in one go. Right now, I have to click one, save one, and then go back and then click the other person and save, and so that is a cumbersome process. And sometimes it's very irritating. "Easy Project and Time Management with Avaza"
What do you like best about Avaza?

I like that Avaza is easy to use. It's good to see everything in one space and straightforward to add new projects, new resources, set up different charge rates for resources and projects, and report on progress. Avaza also helps us keep track of hours and understand which hours have been invoiced or not. It gives us a clear view of where we are on projects, the charge versus budget, and allows us to capture time-off hours for payroll processing. As a consulting company running multiple projects, Avaza makes it easy to see what each resource is working on, who is working on which projects, and which projects are generating the most revenue. What do you dislike about Avaza?

What do you like best about Avaza?

The time tracking and billing features. I mainly use the platform to keep track on my working hours while keeping detailed records of my expenses and income. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Avaza?

When moving over all of my historical records from my previous provider, Avaza was unable to let me import my old payment records and mark them as paid. So now I have hundreds of old payments that still look like they are outstanding. Avaza is also (currently) not compatible with the UK’s Make Tax Digital scheme so it cannot communicate with the HMRC system directly which will soon be a legal requirement for self employed workers. What do you like best about Avaza?

I personally think Avaza is straightforward and easy to use, which is a big plus for me. I love the time management features because they are easy to access, and I can enter time and track work in real time. I like that I can set alerts to see tasks or jobs coming up, and there's a handy feature to copy over recurring time like extended holidays or leaves. I also love the ability to chat with Avaza support quickly whenever needed. The team at Avaza is always responsive and quick to work on trying to meet our needs. What do you dislike about Avaza?

I urgently needed an export of all projects and their associated tasks regardless of task status, but the current report available in Avaza did not include the descriptions and notes that were created with the tasks. Please add descriptions and comments/notes to export reports. Make the ability to pin your often visited projects to the dashboard, especially if you are the project manager. Make the dashboard filter static so that it doesn't change each time you click on a project and your filters are still available when you come back from clicking on a project. I like Avaza's ability to track more than 100 projects and generate a single report that lets me know which project is lagging, which is leading, and which is likely to have cost overruns. This feature helps me ensure my projects are running as per the schedule, and I can monitor whether consultants are working as per the hours allocated to them. What do you dislike about Avaza?

I would love to see Avaza being able to integrate with the Microsoft 365 environment, so that calendars created in 365 automatically sync up with Avaza. I understand there's a Google linkage, but I would request a Microsoft 365 linkage also. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

On the Microsoft 365 side, that’s a very fair callout. While we don’t currently have a native integration, many of our customers connect Avaza with tools like Outlook and Excel using Zapier to automate parts of their workflow. That said, we completely understand the value of having a more direct, built-in experience here, and it’s something we’re continuing to explore.

What do you like best about Avaza?

I find Avaza pretty simple to use, and I've been using it for about six years. It efficiently tracks if something's been paid, ensuring you don't pay things twice, like invoices, so you won't invoice a customer twice. It also helps keep things up to date. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Avaza?

Connecting to Outlook would be great because I have to duplicate work to schedule meetings in my Avaza account. What do you like best about Avaza?

I find Avaza user friendly, which really helps with handling project management, time recording, expense recording, and billing. It has improved our organization, task allocation, and follow-up processes, especially when recording billable hours and invoicing. I also appreciate that Avaza helps us monitor the efficiency of our team's work. Setting up was very easy; we had an initial personal call with an assistant who gave us the intro and overview.
