## accessiBe Reviews
  ### 1. Effortlessly Enhances Accessibility with Easy Setup

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Michael C. | Chief Financial Officer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

I like that accessiBe is an easy-to-use software and it's very easy to install on our clients' websites. It provides a level of protection legally and makes the website accessible to people with various disabilities. I also appreciate the ease of installation.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

Nothing really, it does exactly what we need it to do.

**Recommendations to others considering accessiBe:**

If you are trying to make your website ADA compliant, this is by far the easiest way. Their admin dashboard is intuitive and easy to use so managing your account is not a chore. Installing the software into the website itself could not be easier. Anyone with a basic level of web competency can easily install this into their site in about 2 minutes. All of the optimizations and accessibility improvements are done automatically all with the addition of 1 line of code into the site. Could not be happier with that.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use accessiBe to easily install accessibility features on clients' websites, ensuring legal protection and making sites accessible for people with disabilities.

**Official Response from Misha van Braningen:**

> Michael, thank you for your feedback and for making your site accessible to people with disabilities!

  ### 2. Best onboarding and customer service experience from a 3rd party company.

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Trent J. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 12, 2023

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

While the product is amazing, the customer service and onboarding experience is by far the best experience I have ever had with a 3rd party provider. My rep Deryck is amazing and implementing the Accessibe system is so simple. My clients have been super impressed - and I owe that to the Accessibe system.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

UPDATE: There have been a lot of advancements with further competition emerging in the accessibility market. As such, Accessibe's policies have changed to reflect this. They use to grant a 14 day refund policy but due to competition coming out with free platforms, they took that away. What that means is that if you decide you don't need it, even within minutes of purchasing it, you are out of luck. On top of that, you can't cancel auto-renew on your own. You actually have to email the team to have them remove it.

A vendor we use for other features implemented an accessibility plugin that came with our already paid services. Due to what is outlined above, I didn't have time when I went to cancel my auto renew and figured I would wait until closer to my renewal date. Of course I forgot, and was then charged. I reached out that day to explain the situation and request a refund, but due to terms and services they will not comply.

ORIGINAL: The only downside that I have experience thus far is that I have to email my sales rep if the domain for a client changes. Such a minor detail that at the end of the day is trivial, but I would like to see this feature implemented eventually.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Accessibe is solving my ADA Compliance needs with my customers and their websites.

**Official Response from Patience Saporito:**

> Hi Trent! Thank you for sharing that with us. For any immediate changes to your account or your clients please feel free to reach our support team in chat or at hello@accessibe.com. We're happy to help :)

  ### 3. Poor Execution and Support Make accessiBe Unusable

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kristen C.

**Reviewed Date:** February 12, 2026

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

I like the idea and concept of accessiBe.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

I'm frustrated that accessiBe doesn't work with Squarespace, a major website design provider, and this isn't mentioned on their website. After realizing it wouldn't work, they refused to refund me. The execution of the service was terrible, despite liking the concept. The customer service is bad too, with high turnover of account managers and a huge issue taking six to nine months to resolve. Even after acknowledging they couldn't solve my issue, they still denied a refund and stopped responding to my emails.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I expected accessiBe to help people with different abilities view my website through an overlay.

  ### 4. Not worth it - deceptive claims

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dana R. | CEO, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 16, 2026

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

There aren't really any upsides in my opinion.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

The service is very overpriced and does not guarantee any compliance standards - there was recently an FTC ruling for deceptive claims regarding this.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It was meant to help meet accessibility compliance standards.

  ### 5. Misleading Claims, Causes More Problems

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Crystal S.

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2025

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

Nothing! This company is a scam, and they make false claims.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

I have significant concerns with accessiBe. Firstly, the company makes false claims about accessibility conformance and misleads people into believing their overlay solution will resolve all website accessibility issues, which is a complete lie. This has caused my clients to receive reports that don't accurately reflect their websites' accessibility levels, misleading them about the solutions provided. Additionally, I find the tool to be completely untrustworthy and would never consider using it due to these deceptive practices. Furthermore, their entire practice and advertising are problematic as the solution does not function as promised, complicating the process instead of simplifying it.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

None. They only cause problems!

  ### 6. accessiBe - Forced subscription

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Medical Devices | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 04, 2025

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

Nothing, except it makes websites ADA-compliant.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

Everything. The entire thing is a scam.

The way we were approached by accessiBe was reprehensible. It was no different from a MAFIA shakedown. We were told that if our website was not ADA-compliant, we could be fined or sued.

What kind of business model is this?

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ADA-compliancy on corporate website.

**Official Response from Lauren Adel:**

> I am very sorry to hear that you did not have a positive experience, this is certainly not the experience we wanted you to walk away with. I have passed your feedback along to our management teams here as we take feedback like this very seriously. If you have any further details you would like to provide or are open to a discussion please reach out to us at support@accessibe.com, we would greatly value the opportunity to make this right.

  ### 7. Wonderful Customer Service but UI Needs Updating

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Health, Wellness and Fitness | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 29, 2022

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

Commissions are confusing and not honored when mistakes are made on their part. Too bad. Good program.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

I thought I knew what I was doing and had the correct code snippet, but I ended up clicking on "accessflow" instead of "accesswidget" and was super grateful to my success coach who fixed the problem right away for my 11 clients!

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I hear they are fixing the UI and an excellent affiliate program exists. No longer actively seeking more clients to add the ADA widget.

**Official Response from Lauren Adel:**

> Thank you for sharing your experience with us Pamela. Yes we do have some great new changes coming to improve the UI, keep an eye out for those! And we are always just an email away at hello@accessibe.com if you ever have any questions :)

  ### 8. AccessiBe is ransomware in a fancy overcoat

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sacha A. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 17, 2023

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

You'll buy off the threat of imminent litigation in California, as there are predatory law firms targeting companies and crippling them financially over benign issues.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

The fact that we sell sports equipment for some of the hardest sports out there to learn, and that we support several foundations that cater to surfers with inabilities is not enough.

No - now we have to pay $500 annually for ZERO changes to our website - you buy the plugin, and all of a sudden you're exempt from litigation.

How does this make any sense?

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The looming threat of litigation by some ambulance chasers. AccessiBe did NOTHING for my site, except issue a certificate of accessibility that was mysteriously revoked when the 7-day trial expired. Yet the website never changed...

**Official Response from Lauren Adel:**

> Hey Sacha, thank you for taking the time to leave your review. I'm very sorry to hear you did not have a good experience.

I wonder if you have a chance to schedule a demo with our team? One of our product experts will be able to walk you through all of the features that accessiBe adds to your site. The great thing about our solution is that it allows users with disabilities to interact with the site according to their specific needs and for those without disabilities their user experience will not be affected at all!

In regards to the free 7 days trial, that is expected behavior. After the trial ends, if a purchase is not made, you will not have access to our service any longer.

We'd happy to set you up with a product demo or help with any other questions though. Please feel free to reach out to hello@accessibe.com so we can further assist!

  ### 9. They treat their resellers very poorly

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** William E. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 15, 2023

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

Somewhat reasonable price. Decent product.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

Their policies for reimbursing their resellers is ridiculous. If the reseller pays, they get a commission. If the client pays directly, (at a 20% premium) the reseller gets nothing.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

AccessiBe is designed to ensure websites meet legal accessibility requirements by allowing visitors to change font sizes, colors, contrast, etc.

**Official Response from Lauren Adel:**

> Thanks so much for taking the time to share your thoughts with us, William. I am very sorry to hear that you have not had a great experience so far. I did just want to quickly go over how our commission process works. You always have the option to receive the 20% commission regardless of who is completing the purchase. In your partner account you have the option to either receive a commission or to pass along a 20% discount to your clients. If your client directly makes a purchase though you will always receive the 20% commission.

We would love to discuss this further with you and address any other concerns you may have. We want to do everything in our power to turn your experience around! Please drop us an email to hello@accessibe.com so we can be in touch.

  ### 10. Lawyers not recommended

**Rating:** 0.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2023

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

Easy to install, but not functional for ADA compliance.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

It turns out that accessibe is actually not a functional solution for ADA compliance.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are actually removing accessiBe from our website. This is not a true accessibility solution and can cause more harm than good. Though it was so easy to install and navigate, if it causes more harm than good, it is not a true solution.

**Official Response from Lauren Adel:**

> Hey there, thank you for taking the time to leave your review. We can assure you that accessiBe brings your site up to full WCAG level 2.1 compliance which is the industry and court accepted standard for ADA compliance. We would love to discuss this further with you and address any concerns or questions you may have around this. Please send an email to hello@accessibe.com so we can assist you further.

  ### 11. Promising technology / Subpar customer service / Inaccurate marketing

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

accessiBe is easy to use and provides immediate value to websites, especially those which are currently very inaccessible.

While many websites offer accessibility overlays, accessiBe distinguishes itself by relying on AI to provide alt text for your image automatically. This alt text generation is one of the highlights of accessiBe, and it generally performs reasonably well.

accessiBe allows you to fine-tune the visual theme of your overlay widget so that it can blend in with your website rather than clash with it.

accessiBe's overlay provides numerous features that claim to accomodate a wide variety of disabilities, including ones that people without disabilities do not tend to think of. Offering such a wide array of accommodations to users goes a long way in demonstrating that you are sensitive to all of your users' needs.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

Customer service was rather lacking in my experience. The rep I was assigned to would frequently take more than a week to respond to my emails, none of which included particularly complicated questions. Each time the rep made a promise to get back to me by a certain date with an answer to a question, the rep never actually got back to me...at all. In fact, it's been several months now since I last emailed the rep, still with no reply from them.

accessiBe promotes (or at least used to promote) options for web developers to use SRI protection when including the accessiBe overlay script on a website. For the less technical, the way accessiBe (and many similar offerings) requires others to include accessiBe's script on a website leaves the website vulnerable in cases where accessiBe, or someone who would hack accessiBe, decides they want to modify that website without consent; SRI significantly reduces this type of vulnerability and is easy to implement. When I asked my rep for SRI support, she said she had no idea what I was talking about, and neither did her colleagues or boss. After I explained my need for SRI, she informed me that accessiBe has really strong security, so they probably won't be hacked (and thus was still unable to provide SRI).

Finally, when I tried testing my website with an acessibility checker (WAVE) to see how much accessiBe helped, I discovered a rather concerning behavior: accessiBe detected the WAVE tool and then deleted everything on my page that WAVE would have flagged as inaccessible. Perhaps this was some bug -- I can't say for certain that this was intentional -- but the result was that WAVE rated my page as much more accessible than ordinary users might perceive it. This would be like hearing your mom coming down the hall and shoving everything into your closet to trick her into thinking you have just cleaned your bedroom.

**Recommendations to others considering accessiBe:**

accessiBe is excellent if you have a swath of old content that you want to make accessible without spending hundreds of personnel hours.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We wanted to make sure all of our content, including hundreds of old resources, could be accessible for all audiences.

During the brief time we used accessiBe, we did see an increase in accessibility, including alt text for older images.

**Official Response from Alon Kasher:**

> Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback.
One of our top values is excellent customer service, and these kinds of reviews keep us improving each day.
We'd like to discuss this issue with you personally and make sure you'll get a comprehensive explanation this time, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us at https://accessibe.com/support or send us an email to hello@accessibe.com

  ### 12. Not bad as a deterrence

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 23, 2021

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

Easy to setup and get running. The system adds a small widget on the website that creates an ADA-friendly overlay on websites to resolve any accessibility issues.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

The company doesn't claim full compliance. This means that you can be sued. When an issue does happen and you need specific information from the company, they do not provide it. I think there are cheaper and better options out in the market that I would suggest over accessiBe.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

ADA-compliance

**Official Response from Alon Kasher:**

> Thank you for the feedback.
accessiBe will always stand by all of its clients and support them in their inclusion efforts.
Our accessibility statement and monthly compliance audits should be enough to stop any claim in its track, but in the rare case that they don't, we will provide you with our Litigation Support Package - https://accessibe.com/support/legal/what-is-the-accessibe-litigation-support-package

  ### 13. Poor Customer Service

**Rating:** 1.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospitality | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 18, 2021

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

The website overlay widget was easy to set up and use, but their customer service was terrible.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

Customer service. We were served with an accessibility lawsuit and reached out for their legal help. After their CEO was rude and refused to actually walk through their process we went with another vendor.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We initially hoped to provide accessibility support for our family of websites.

**Official Response from Alon Kasher:**

> Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback. One of our top value is excellent customer service, and these kinds of reviews keep us improving each day. We'd like to discuss this issue with you personally, so please don't hesitate to reach out to us at https://accessibe.com/support or send us an email to hello@accessibe.com

  ### 14. Sounds like an ideal solution but hard to implement

**Rating:** 0.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2021

**What do you like best about accessiBe?**

I like their mission of accessibility and what their software sets out to do.

**What do you dislike about accessiBe?**

During the sales call AccessiBe many times reassured us that it would not affect our page load times. Unfortunately, this has not been the case and is the reason I am dissatisfied with the product.

**What problems is accessiBe solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Surface level accessibility compliance. Beyond, this not much.

**Official Response from Alon Kasher:**

> Thanks for taking the time to share this feedback. We're getting better each day pass thanks to these kinds of reviews, and we would like to check this issue with you personally, so let's hop on a call to resolve this.
