**What do you like best about Silktide?**

Silktide is the most robust and user-friendly accessibility compliance and website governance software I've ever worked with. From the very beginning it's been clear that the team at Silktide care deeply about accessibility and have a true desire to make good website usability a priority.

The onboarding process was extremely simple, and their customer service has been nothing short of spectacular.

The accessibility compliance module was the primary reason we chose Silktide. It has a more robust and intuitive user interface than any other compliance software I've worked with. It also has a more detailed list of compliance checks and even provides examples of things we will need to be checking in future versions of WCAG standards. It was very easy to implement and integrate into our content management system, and its page scans were just plain faster than other options.

The huge bonus for us was the analytics module with features like click maps, scroll maps, and frustration maps that have been invaluable to us as we plan our site redesign. The amount of data Silktide provides is awesome, and it's all collected in one system. We have even begun using these analytics in place of our Google Analytics in many cases because of the simplicity of the reports.

I also use Silktide every day in my user experience studies to see how people navigate our site and how we can better promote specific elements.

I can't say enough good things about Silktide. It literally saves me hours and hours of time compared to other products I have used, and it gives me the tools to make sure our websites are as accessible and user-friendly as possible.

**What do you dislike about Silktide?**

I can't think of anything that I have not liked about Silktide.

**What problems is Silktide solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a one-person team when it comes to website accessibility and governance. Silktide helps me make sure that all of our websites are WCAG 2.1 levels A and AA compliant. It provides information on site usage that has been invaluable as we plan our site redesign. It helps us make sure that we are putting out quality content in the most effective way possible. Overall, Silktide brings together a whole suite of tools that save me time and help me make sure our websites are of the highest standards in terms of content quality, accessibility, and usability.

It was also several thousand dollars cheaper than the previous product we were using. That is always a benefit.

**What do you like best about Silktide?**

Silktide is incredibly user friendly and makes finding the broken pages and links on the website incredibly easy. I ike that it covers all aspects, content, accessibilty, marketing and user experience. Finding all the broken links was a breeze. In addition it gives recomendations on items needing to be investigated or fixed.

**What do you dislike about Silktide?**

There were a few instances where the same broken link was reported multiple different times.

**What problems is Silktide solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When migrating from Drupal to Wagtail, several links and pages were broken, Silktide helped find and correct all of those issues with a comprehensive list and links to the pages that held broken links within them.

I like how easy and transparent the program is. I have been supported with the onboarding process and training and have loved using this program.

The only thing I dislike is finding settings, sometimes I get lost on where to find particular things.

**What do you like best about Silktide?**

Silktide has a very intuitive and simple UI, yet its dashboards and features are powerful and provide insights into so many facets pertaining to best practices and accessible digital media. A great tool for content designers, web admins, devs, UX designers and marketing. Customer support is also outstanding, I recently had an issue when trying to export filtered results to .CSV, I reported this online and within minutes had an email from Andy Palmers who informed that that the desired feature was currently being worked on and was due for release soon. Well, that was yesterday! Today, Andy kindly contacted me again to say the feature had been released. So I am now happily exporting analytics to .CSV Awesome customer service.

**What do you dislike about Silktide?**

I am actually struggling to find anything to dislike in my usage of the product thus far. It does everything I need it to do thus far and the modularisation of the features makes it feel like a genuinely live product with an active dev cycle. Whenever I think, "hmm Silktide should have.." it often does in the near future.

Accessibility is the main issue that Silktide helps with generally.

Silktide is very comprehensive and a fantastic platform to use for stellar accessibility, SEO and content management. It is essential in optimizing our sites and helping us enhance our online presence, improve user experience and a achieve our marketing goals. Onboarding was easier than I could have expected. Upon first launch I was able to glean actionable insights into our websites. Everything I have tried has been intuitive and assigning roles to people has them be productive on day one.

It is a great dashboard giving me immediate visibility into all our websites. Visibility onto content and accessibility in my environments where there are many contributors is essential to governance.

**What do you like best about Silktide?**

Easy to implement and easy use – for marketeers and developers alike. WCAG examples are very hands on. Very fair pricing, no aggressive upselling. Finn Fox has been great for going the first steps and Andy Palmer is just an awesome support whenever we need him. You guys really make me feel we made the right decision choosing Silktide. Not only for the tool but also for the people.

On Thursday, May 16, 2024 Andy Palmer spoke to attendees at the University of Birmingham's virtual Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD) 2024 event. As a direct result of Andy's presentation we saw an uptake in staff members requesting access to Silktide via our ServiceNow ticketing system. Andy's presentation was engaging and well received. I really appreciated his patience as we figured out the Teams webinars (we accidentally set them to private so outside vendors didn't have access). Thank you Andy!

At UoB our biggest challenge is testing behind password protected sites.

My focus is on digital accessibility, but I know the University uses Silktide for more than accessibility testing.

**What do you like best about Silktide?**

Silktide allows me to do a quick check on the webpages which I author - it's much quicker than me scrolling through and trying to find any broken links etc. Andy Palmer was really helpful when I got stuck with something, sending me a personalised video which I can save for next time I need it.

I personally don't find it very intuitive, but that's not helped by the fact I use it once a month.

Silktide is intuitive, easy to use and understand. There are many applications and it helps all editors in the organization to improve content but also to view statistics. From startup, we have received fantastic help from our Customer Success Manager Andy Palmer at Silktide.

**What do you like best about Silktide?**

The dashboard is easy to use and offers a wealth of information. The email alerts about connectivity have been invaluable in demonstrating performance issues with our supplier. Customer service through chat is excellent, providing quick responses to any questions. The staff are always friendly, informative, and helpful.

**What do you dislike about Silktide?**

Nothing - it's greatly improved our response time for system outages.

Previous to using Silktide if there were problems accessing our portals we were only made aware by a customer telling us.  We now receive email alerts regarding issues with performance so we can act quickly to resolve and in most cases fix the issue before the customers are impacted.

**What do you like best about Silktide?**

Silktide has helped us enormously in understanding the quality, compliance and general state of our digital estate. There are a large number of different modules, which enable us to easily analyse and improve our digital systems. There is also a very helpful and responsive support team always willing to guide us through aspects.<br>We use Silktide on a daily basis and via SSO auto-provisioning we've enabled every member of our organisation to have access to view their own systems and website.<br>Implementation was super simple and we can self-serve and add or remove interfaces as we please.

**What do you dislike about Silktide?**

I haven't yet found any downsides, it's so easy to use and manage.

**What problems is Silktide solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Although we still do require manual accessibility tests for the manual actions that a machine could never test, Silktide has reduced the overall costs of manual testing by taking care of all the automated checks for us. It has reduced internal staff time by finding QA issues for us, without needing to continuously scour the site for problems (or waiting for customers to tell us about them!). There are uptime monitors so we are always notified if a system goes offline unexpectedly. The cookie-less analytics, with the heatmaps and click maps, are immensely useful in understanding the UX of our sites. These are just a few of the benefits we've found using the product.

**What do you like best about Silktide?**

We've only had Silktide a couple months and it's already helping us increase our accessibility scores. Extremely easy to integrate/setup and start using, a lot more than the previous platform we were using.

The user friendly experience has meant it is quick to resolve issues and even see our scores improving in real time.

SilkTide is very easy to use. I love the interface where you can easily see your score and the number of issues decreasing or increasing over time. Our account manager Andrew made the integration seamless which I believe has been key to success.

The best thing about SilkTide is that you don't need any extra information to improve your website - everything is already on the platform. It will take you step by step on how to improve it, how to make it accessible, and what are the most important things you have to cover. <br>Best feature: showing in the code where the mistake is.

I would like to "approve" a correction from inside the platform without having to access my CMS. Would make things much quicker. <br>Having someone to fix code issues inside the company (even if extra), would also be great.

It is easy to use and the combination of analytics of user behavior makes it fun and easy to make better content for our large group of editors. The professional support from our contact person Andy Palmer made the implementation and start-up easy.

Developing a site to be accessible is quite a labour intensive task, but Silktide makes it easy. The interface is really intuitive, and provides comprehensive but relevant information to allow you to debug and correct any issues. Silktide is a great tool in a developer's toolbox, that allows you to make better code and sites, not just ticking a checkbox for accessibility. I enjoy using it.

**What do you dislike about Silktide?**

Although the interface is really intuitive, I did prefer some of the previous features, such as being able to jump directly to A, AA or AAA checks directly from the overview page. Only a minor navigation change, but one I used all the time.

To ensure that our website portfolio is AA accessible, and ideally AAA. It makes the process of making our sites accessible very easy, as well as support learning allow the way to avoid issues in the future.

Silktide is so easy to use and offers a great user experience. The best thing about it is that it has taken the pain out of manually trying to identify and address content and accessibility issues. Everything is in one place, and the inspector tool pinpoints exactly where the problems are. The descriptions on how to fix issues are easy to understand, and it’s helping us make strides in improving our online content. It’s very satisfying to see the scores improve and be able to track our progress. 

The set-up of Silktide was seamless. Our account manager and the support team are helpful and quick to respond.

I can’t think of anything I dislike. 

The support team are very helpful in resolving any issues or suggestions, and it’s a great product.

Some little things could be improved, such as being able to mark something as done rather than waiting until the next crawl and assigning people to individual broken links, spelling, or grammatical errors rather than to all of them within a section.

I work for a university as a Web Developer, and we got full access to Silktide in 2022, plus training. The software has been an excellent upgrade from our previous tool.  

It allows us to find the problems on our pages (over 250 pages on our school site), like broken links, images with alt text, and other issues. The information is targeted, and Silktide updates as you fix things.

The levels of issues it finds are a bit unclear and sometimes make it difficult to determine what are the most important things to fix.  

I'm sure if I looked more into the help files, I would be able to better understand these distinctions.

Silktide is easy to use and has a friendly user interface. The staff at Silktide are also great, respond really quickly and help you solve any problems that pop up. Andy P was great at helping us get set up when we were having problems our end and helped get the problem resolved really quickly.

We do a lot of data comparisons so analytics not letting you compare 2 time periods is a shame.

Heatmap tools help us work out where the specific problems are on a page, rather than just knowing that there is a problem on the page. It's a lot more reliable and quicker than trying something to see if that was the problem and then checking the data after a couple of months to see if it has improved.

They also have accessibility high on their agenda both internally and in the tools they produce which makes a huge difference. They are open to feedback on how to make things more accessible which is great.

We did extensive research on accessibility platforms before landing on Silktide. We had gone with another, larger, more well-known company before and found that we were often lost in the shuffle. Even before switching to Silktide, they worked with us to ensure the platform would work with our site and work for us as a small team. The best part about Silktide is that they want to make the platform work for everyone, no matter what it takes. The platform is easy to use, not just for users with WCAG and web experience, but for everyday users working with the web manager to ensure their sites are accessible. It's made my job as a webmaster that much easier and has been a great fit for our small web team of one person.

The downside of Silktide being a smaller company is that they don't have as many features as the larger ones. For me, I didn't need the extra bits, so this wasn't an issue. They are also working all the time on upgrading their platform, and even after a year of being with them, I've seen so many positive changes with the platform.

As a public school district, we have to make sure that all of our sites are following WCAG & ADA guidelines, and Silktide has helped me stay ahead of the issues, and maintain my sites even with content basics such as broken links and spelling errors.

**What do you like best about Silktide?**

Silktide has massively improved our approach to designing accessible websites. Everyone in the team has a login and able to collaborate within the system to find and resolve issues. Everyone finds the functionality easy to use, with detailed and easy to use explanations of the digital standards and how they should be implemented. We recently explored an alternative tool just to test the market and found it so much harder to use and missing many of the features that make workflow within Silktide so easy. The team really feel Silktide is at the forefront of both functionality and usability and the other products on the market are a massive step backwards

**What do you dislike about Silktide?**

We develop and maintain a lot of websites, some with a lot of pages. As we don't scan every page in all of these websites all of the time, we do have to stop and start scanning depending on what we need to do, which is a bit of pain. Really we need to up the number of pages in our package, but we currently have a limited budget.

**What problems is Silktide solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It allows us to meet accessibility legislation for all local government websites to meet a minimum level of accessibility which we've defined as the WCAG AA standard. Without this tool this simply wouldn't be possible. Obvious benefits are ensuring we are meeting legal obligations and that our products are accessible to people with a range of disabilities

Silktide is really easy to use. The interface is easy to navigate and assessing issues is quick and easy. The customer support we've received from Silktide is excellent.

There's just one feature I wish Silktide had (email notifications to users when they're assigned a check). I've discussed this with my support rep and they've been receptive to the input. They're now working on adding this feature.

Silktide simplifies the process of tracking quality issues in our websites. We rely on this especially for content quality and accessibility. Tracking issues manually would be impossible so I rely on this tool.

**What do you like best about Silktide?**

Out of all the web optimisation platforms, Silktide is by far the best value for money considering the vast amount of functionality you have access to. We've found the analytics incredibly helpful. Unlike other platforms, Silktide automatically collates heatmaps, meaning you can find data on any page without having to set it up. Another great feature is being able to view data for non-visible elements such as drop down menus.

**What do you dislike about Silktide?**

There aren't many, but a few things could be improved. It would be great to be able to open the page inspector in a new tab. It would also be good if policies were made a bit easier to access.

**What problems is Silktide solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With Silktide we are able to get a holistic view of everything that is happening on our site: our inventory, how we're looking in terms of accessibility, core web vitals, and the impact this all has on SEO. We've been able to improve our scores quite drastically by fixing issues.

There are many upsides to using Silktide - it gives us much greater oversight of our web content and allows us to respond to issues quickly and efficiently. We are able to audit across a wide range of criteria and it gives us an independent voice when seeking to engage with publishers and improve their content. The inbuilt training and advice is really helpful and the dashboards and performance scores really help motivation for making improvements.

I can't think of anything I dislike about Silktide. There have been some queries and issues that have arisen but the support team are helpful and efficient in resolving those and the level of service from our account manager has been excellent.

**What do you like best about Silktide?**

Silktide dashboard gives you clear insights into areas to focus on and can easily link directly into your Wordpress website. It has saved significant time highlighting accessibility issues and also tells you how to correct them. It is an incredibly useful tool that keeps you in check and on the right path to being more accessible. 

After reviewing other services, Silktide became our choice of service due to their skilled expertise, impressive software and the fact they also focus on mobile. Working in the public sector, this tool is essential to our organisation.

**What do you dislike about Silktide?**

Nothing really to dislike! However the number of features can be daunting at first, with a slight learning curve, but once time has been dedicated to using the service, it becomes second nature to use. For those less tech savy in my team it will require some face-to-face demonstrations, but it is important to ensure we are being as accessible as we can be. The Silktide team are also on-hand to support as needed.

**What problems is Silktide solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our organisation is required to meet accessibility standards with the work we do. This service supports us in providing clear benchmarks to review our website and how to improve accessibility. Without it, we would simply be assuming we are accessible. We continuously check our WCAG accessibility, and this tool keeps us on the right path. With their crawler, we can always keep on top of any accessibility issues as and when they arise.
