**What do you like best about HoneyBook?**

It's all the business admin tools I need in one (I have a service-based business). I love having it all in one place and for one price. On top of highly useful admin tools, the Templates and Automation features have been absolutely key for me because I can provide a really positive, consistent product and customer experience with very little energy or time (and I am just a team of one).

They are always improving the tool as well, with even more helpful features that small businesses/consultants actually need. Great customer support as well if you need help with a specific issue, or even just wondering the best way to do something.

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

There are still some glitchy functionalities that haven't been fixed, despite a lot of other improvements they've made. Most of those glitches that actually cause inconvenience are in the Scheduler - if you add to the calendar description, it sends a notification to the client but words it as being "rescheduled," and this has caused confusion for my clients. Also, within the scheduler, adding time off or removing availability for random days is not very easy. Other than those things, which they'll hopefully fix soon, I'm super happy with HoneyBook and highly recommend it.

Solving so many admin problems - not only saving me a TON of time, but also allowing me to deliver consistent, high quality products/services to my clients.

**What do you like best about HoneyBook?**

I love that everything is in one place with HoneyBook. I can make a file and send it to my clients, so they have all the references, resources, and guides in one place. This makes it easier for me to help move them along the client journey and support them along the way.

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

I think right now, it's just a matter of familiarizing myself with where things are and how to use the different tools. I did find it hard to understand the whole front to back experience until I had an actual client walk through those things. It would be helpful if there were more video tutorials available, kind of like a library, so you can step by step understand each phase from the back end and what your clients are going to experience.

**What problems is HoneyBook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HoneyBook helps me keep my clients organized and manage workflows, automating tasks so I don't spend too much time on things, which helps me service my clients better.

**What do you like best about HoneyBook?**

I love that HoneyBook provides the convenience of having everything in one specified portal for my clients. It's really handy to have a calendar integrated with my phone along with a scheduling system that I truly enjoy and use frequently. I also appreciate the reporting feature that lets me know how well I'm doing and provides financial assistance for taxes. The user-friendly interface stands out, allowing me to use it on desktop, laptop, or cell phone, and I enjoy making it compatible with my lock screen and voice. The tap-to-go pay options for on-the-spot clients are a nice touch. Setting it up was very easy, and the one-month trial was great to figure out and navigate through everything.

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

Things aren't working that well for me with HoneyBook is the AI note taking system. I wish that it was a little bit more customized. In the sense of being sensitive on picking up the correct conversation that's being had, as well as the format of it is convenient for my client as well that it's not just simply provided to me in the portal for notes, that it's automatically emailed to them instead of me copy pasting it from my email to theirs.

HoneyBook keeps everything organized in a portal for clients. I love the integrated calendar and scheduling system, and it helps with tax-related financial info. Sharing info or scheduling with clients is quick and easy, and its user-friendly interface works well across my devices.

**What do you like best about HoneyBook?**

I like HoneyBook's ease of use which makes navigation smooth. The customer support is really responsive; whenever I have a question, I can just put it in chat and usually get a response within twenty to thirty minutes, solving my problems quickly. This quick resolution means I can return to focusing on my customers and other important tasks sooner. The contact form feature and the smooth navigation add to its usability. Even though I don't use all the features, the ones I do use are perfect for me. The setup was super easy, only taking about fifteen minutes before I could start navigating around. It's easy enough that I can teach someone else to use it without a problem. I've also shared my positive experience with other small business owners, and they've switched to HoneyBook as well.

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

One thing I think should be updated pretty quickly is the option to generate a quote without payment terms. Sometimes it's just a quote that the customer wants.

**What problems is HoneyBook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use HoneyBook to streamline my inquiry responses to customers. It's easy to use, and chat support is quick to solve issues, which lets me focus on other important tasks. Navigation and contact forms are simple, making it perfect for my needs.

**What do you like best about HoneyBook?**

I like how HoneyBook has autopay for clients, allowing me to set up automatic billing. The ease of updating contracts and having templates to customize them for each client is crucial for me. I enjoy the convenience of having contracts and invoices all in one place, with everything sent out together. The new feature that makes it easier to get paid faster with invoices, connecting to Stripe, is something I appreciate. I also like that I can send everything to a client in one email.

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

I wish the templates were a little bit easier to fill out and the forms. I find it's a little bit tedious when connecting everything, and it's not as intuitive as I would like it to be even though I've used a lot of different systems and am pretty computer savvy. I know it could be connected to more tools, but I haven't found it that easy to set up. Prices have gone up on HoneyBook, so I think they're similar right now price-wise with Dubsado. There are definitely some things I would like to either learn how to use better or, there may be some limitations that it has that have stopped me up in the past.

I use HoneyBook for invoicing and contracts, appreciating its autopay for automatic billing and customizable templates. It simplifies managing invoices and contracts together, connects to Stripe, and lets me send everything in one email.

**What do you like best about HoneyBook?**

I appreciate HoneyBook's automations which make setting up the billing cycle really easy. Having email templates available is also useful for routine emails. I have started using the AI feature for creating standard emails, which has saved me time typing in the emails.

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

It would be good to be able to access additional fields in my onboarding forms. For my standard emails, I need to access student names but it is unavailable with the normal smart fields. The project type field is too small for my use. It needs to be 64 characters in length. The yearly cost for me doubled last year, which takes funds from my non-profit that could be used elsewhere.

**What problems is HoneyBook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

HoneyBook helps me manage tuition for students by sending out monthly notices and bulk emails. The automations simplify billing cycles, and email templates save time, especially with AI-generated emails.

**What do you like best about HoneyBook?**

I like that there are so many integrations. I use this specifically to manage my real estate client, and we use FloDesk and Canva, and I can integrate her email marketing contacts easily and can use templates we've already decide and import them but make sending out custom showing proposals, open houses, etc. automated while still keeping the branding the same. With real estate having so many different types of leads and coming from other sources, it's really nice to have everything in one place and organized.

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

I wish their task project pipeline was a little more user friendly on the project management side. For people who aren't familiar with interacting with CRMs that much, when I want to share an outlook on something with Jacqui (the real estate agent whose marketing I do) it can be difficult to breakdown and explain in remote settings.

**What problems is HoneyBook solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With real estate, my client has potential leads coming from many different sources- from in-person meetings and networking, newsletter clicks, social media followers, people who interact with QR codes from marketing materials, etc. that there are a lot of different buckets and processes here, and having one central place to call home for everything frees up space and prevents us from having to make so many documents externally through Excel sheets.

It lacks some ability to customize forms and portal displays, but honestly that hasn't held us back. We have used major competitors that allow a lot of customization and it has been too hard to use because it had too much ability to customize. Honeybook is a great balance.

This reduces manual tracking and minimizes the chances of missing important updates. Features I use most are the workflows automation and client communication tools. Automated reminders and follow-ups are especially useful because they reduce manual tracking and help ensure nothing slips through the cracks when managing multiple clients. I also rely a lot on the proposals and contracts feature. Being able to create, send, and track them in one place makes the process much faster and more organized compared to handling everything over email. Another valuable feature is the invoicing and payment tracking. It simplifies the billing process and gives better visibility into payment status without needing separate tools. These features help streamline day-to-day operations and save time.

One thing that could be improved is the initial setup of workflows and automations. While the feature is powerful, it can feel a bit complex at the beginning, especially when trying to customize it for specific use cases. I’ve also noticed that the customization options for templates (like proposals or emails) can feel somewhat limited if you’re looking for more advanced personalization. Additionally, occasional delays in notifications or syncing can happen, which can be slightly inconvenient when managing time-sensitive tasks.

**What do you like best about HoneyBook?**

I use HoneyBook for writing very polished proposals, including contracts, which makes me look great and professional. I love that they have a way to make payment directly through the email, which is very efficient. I would say it has increased my closure rate to about at least 80%. It's also pretty user-friendly, and the initial setup was pretty easy. I'm getting a lot of value from HoneyBook for just $20 a month.

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

The instant pay deduction is pretty hefty. I wish I could adjust the positioning of the itemized invoiced items. It's not possible to reorder invoice items through the phone.

It freezes often
I can't delete old contacts if they are attached to past projects
I can't update current contacts if they are attached to old projects.
I can't add vendors unless they have been added to a project. 
There is no email campaign option
Pricing has increased but the product has not improved enough for the price increase
i can't use it on my ipad without using the app, and the app doesn't have the same capabilities as desktop

I like using HoneyBook as a CRM for keeping track of my customers and leads because it's easy to use and helps me get payments without any hassle. The templates are fantastic because they make everything really easy by letting me create something once and then use it multiple times, which saves a lot of time. I appreciate being able to have templates for different steps in my process, like brochures or agreements for events, and being able to copy and create these quickly. The initial setup was very easy for me, especially with guidance from a content creator who recommended HoneyBook and shared templates.

I like that there are many integrations through Zapier, so it's easy to build workflows. I also appreciate that it's easy to book a meeting and have different booking links, which helps because my client has different types of events. And being able to connect through Zapier helps move data from HoneyBook onto other software that we use. The initial setup was also very easy, with a lot of support available.

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

The reminders sometimes don't work well, and the sync to Microsoft calendar doesn't work well. It works when it wants to.

I like how easy it is to use and how so many aspects of an essential business is included such as the invoicing, questionnaires, proposals, etc. The platform is very easy to use and blend in with my project management.

I do wish the portal was more user customizable and able to upload more documents, and even project files. A way for the clients to track the progress of the project would be ideal.

I think it's a great platform for vendors who are constantly updating their proposals to resend items. For our planning team, once we have their contract set, we aren't altering items throughout the process anymore so it's less useful for us in that way

The ability to run my business from a centralized platform. It's user friendly and very easy to implement. Any time I've had an issue, I can contact customer support and have it resolved quickly. I use this tool every day in my business and appreciate all the features it has built in. It also integrates with other tools that I use.

I haven't experienced any extreme downsides to Honeybook.

The files have a cute and appealing design. The pricing and initial offer are very enticing.

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

I used this company for 2 years. I am trying to leave and can officially attest that it is a slimy company.

I am trying to migrate out (to an actual modern CRM like Hubspot), and they have NO way for me to export my data en masse. Instead, I am to download each of my files MANUALLY. They offer free setup to lure you in with the promise of helping you set up for free, but if you try to leave the company, on the other hand, they provide no way to exit. This is the number one red flag I look out for with tech companies. Buyer beware, you will hate this product, and they will make it an absolute pain in the bum to get out of. Their AI capabilities are horrendous, very few integration opportunities, and their template files, while they look easy, are much more of a pain in the butt to use and modify. Truly, use any other platform.

They say they can help me address my CRM and proposal challenges, although they have failed miserably.

When I started my subscription with Honeybook, I paid a little over $250 a year.  Now two years later, they are charging over $500 a year but aren't providing anything worth the drastic price increase.

Automations are good and can save time.  System works well to keep track of prospects and clients.

Internal automations are not enough and even using Zapier it falls short. 
The smart file feature is not straightforward and duplicating contracts and you have to add them as a template in the main files instead of just being able to duplicate the contract within the workspace of the client. 
Project dates sync with your calendar for entire days so adding dates in HB will block off your calendar completely and if you have a scheduling system connected to your calendar it is a complete mess.

I love how easy it is to use HoneyBook, and how streamline it is to get a client booked, installments paid, and keep everything organized for each project. It is also so nice automated reminders for payments are sent to my clients which keeps my business running smoothly. I use Honeybook with every single client, and have watched my revenue grow. The initial set up took a little bit of time to do, but Honeybook has great customer service to help with that. I will never go back to invoicing on my own. It is far too easy and keeps my business looking and feeling professional every step of the way.

The only thing I would love to see Honeybook add would be an interface for clients to collaborate on. I currently use Samepage for the planning and documenting. If Honeybook had something like that, I would never ever ever leave. Ever.

The interface is super easy to navigate.  You can get pretty creative with templates and such to interface really well with your branding.

Some things that seem so simple.... are overly complicated.  Also I would love it if there was more integration with my website.  For instance, i wish that I could have a price page embed (from HB) on my website that the clients could use.  

Another thing would be an easier way to accept alternative payments.  

Mostly it is very good but some things could be streamlined.

I love that it is all in one.  I can pretty much manage my business with Honeybook though book keeping and reporting could definitely be more robust.

Currently, we just have the Contact Form that embeds on your website buuuuut we are actively working on an embeddable Lead Form! This means you can have a pricing guide, an invoice, scheduling, and/or questionnaire (ie a Contact Form) in a file that can be embedded directly on your website!
Also in the works as we speak, is additional payment options! Our team is working to get those added in this year as well!

I love the gallery of templates to inspire the look and feel of my materials. The system is also very "user-friendly" as I edit each of the templates to suit my needs. They have many tutorial videos that have been very helpful, as well. So many of the steps of communication with potential and new clients can be automated, which has been so helpful! As soon as someone fills out my contact form, they receive automatic communications, and I can monitor the activity daily to stay on top of all activity! I have also FINALLY set up concise and streamlined services, packages, invoices and methods of payment! I hope to never have to be without Honeybooks! I highly recommend!

**What do you dislike about HoneyBook?**

I have only been using Honeybooks for about one month. In that time, I have learned a LOT on my own, as I poke through getting things set up. However, I think it is best if one hires one of their coaches to get everything set up. I will be doing that SOON! I also think that my time with a hired coach will be best used as I already have a sense for how to navigate the system. Perhaps Honeybooks could provide 1 free hour with a Coach to inspire new Honeybook Users to continue working with a coach? I LOVE this product and look forward to getting my systems set up! (And then I am sure I will continue to grow and evolve what I have set up!)
