TOWeb is desktop software for building websites and online stores, for Mac and Windows. It is aimed at small businesses, shops, associations, freelancers and web agencies that want a professional site they own, without writing code and without a monthly subscription.
The site is a folder on the user's computer. It is created, edited and previewed offline, then published by FTP, SFTP or into a folder, with any hosting provider. Changing provider requires no migration.
Design. Text is written directly on the page. Fifty complete styles set typography, colours, shapes and effects in one click, in light and dark mode, and keep the content unchanged when switching. Ready-made blocks cover galleries, testimonials, pricing tables, FAQs, maps, videos, before-and-after comparisons, animated sections and forms. Every page adapts to phones, tablets and computers.
AI assistance. An assistant drafts copy, builds pages and translates the site. It runs locally (offline, with Ollama) or in the cloud; cloud AI with image generation is included from the Premium edition.
Selling online. The e-Commerce edition includes a complete store with variants, stock, selling by weight or length, shipping by zone, discount codes, downloadable files and EU VAT rules. Payments go through Stripe, PayPal and about fifteen other providers, or by bank transfer, cheque, cash on delivery and in-store pickup. No commission is taken on sales. Bookings by time slot or by period are available from Premium. Orders, invoices, stock and bookings are managed from a browser, including on a phone.
Quality of the published sites. Pages are light and fast, with clean HTML, sitemap, robots.txt, structured data, hreflang tags and automatic redirects. Sites are designed to meet WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility. Fonts and scripts are published with the site, so no third-party service is loaded without consent; a consent banner blocks trackers until the visitor accepts. A check before each publication reports broken links, missing titles and heavy images.
Multilingual sites, a blog with comments and RSS, a help-centre content type and password-protected pages are included.
Editions. Standard is free with no time limit (5 sites, 1 published, with a TOWeb credit). Premium adds bookings, multilingual sites and cloud AI. e-Commerce adds the store. Studio adds unlimited sites, white label and a resale licence for agencies. Paid editions are bought once, with no subscription.
TOWeb is published by Lauyan Software, a French company founded in 2005. Version 15 is a complete rewrite, a universal Mac app for Apple Silicon and Intel, signed and notarised, and a signed Windows 10 and 11 app; it imports sites made with TOWeb 5 to 14.
