## Adobe InDesign Reviews
 ### 1. Best for Print Design!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Sabina M. | Jr. Front End Web Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe InDesign is the best place to layout your print work! It's also a great place to mock up web assets

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There is a bit of a learning curve to Adobe InDesign, but if you have experience with the other programs in the creative suite you should have no problem!

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe InDesign has intuitive formatting for print work and mock ups alike!

 ### 2. Exactly what our nonprofit business needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alyssa N. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Having the entire Adobe Creative Cloud suite at our fingertips has allowed us to have the freedom and capability to do anything we need to for our nonprofit publishing business. Photoshop to fix any images, InDesign to create newsletters and interiors of books, not to mention the most used program, Adobe Acrobat.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I don't love how expensive it is per month, even with our nonprofit/education discount. I truly dislike how many things nowadays have subscription based everything, and we don't actually own anything outright anymore.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's saving us time and money, especially with Adobe Acrobat: I can sign documents with my "Stamped" signature, I can comment on our designer's interior proofs, and editing PDFs is also something we do occasionally that's super helpful that we can accomplish straight from Acrobat.

 ### 3. InDesign allowed me to easily create and layout high-quality print and digital documents

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ismael M. | Freelance Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

InDesign's robust layout and design tools, compatibility with industry-standard file formats, and seamless integration with other Adobe products make it a valuable asset for creating professional-quality print and digital publications.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

The steep learning curve and relatively high subscription cost may be a drawback. At the same time, the lack of interactive design features can make it less suitable for digital design beyond layout and typography.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

While InDesign is not primarily designed for logo design, it can still help me solve specific business problems. InDesign's layout and typography tools can create brand guidelines and style guides that ensure consistency in logos across different media and platforms. The integration with other Adobe products like Photoshop and Illustrator allows easy access and use of logos created in those programs and for incorporating photographic or vector elements into InDesign layouts. InDesign's compatibility with print and digital file formats and its ability to handle large-scale documents make it a valuable tool for producing marketing and promotional materials that feature logos, such as brochures, flyers, and business cards. Moreover, InDesign's extensive automation and customization features, such as data merge, scripts, and plug-ins, can help streamline the production of repetitive or complex materials that feature logos, such as catalogs or price lists.

 ### 4. Awesome Indescribable InDesign!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

What I love best, is how so seamingly integrates with the remainder of Adobe Cloud products! I have been using InDesign more this year as I am making a BIG textbook, and its easy to use toolds have simplified my life, and made a tedious job, fun!

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

What could improve is if InDesign had a bank of templates for texbooks, and how that could translated on an EBook. And the availability of the tools to be more at hand, and not buried under the dashboard.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the problem we had earlier when using Publisher, the possibilities are greater with InDesign to create a more professional textbook for teenager to use and enjoy!

 ### 5. Strong tool for page layout, limiting for graphics

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 02, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

The ability to manage large amounts of text quickly by assigning custom style attributes to them with one-click.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Graphics rendering and creation can be clunky and slow.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I’m able to work on spreads quickly

 ### 6. An incredible design app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kevin C. | Content Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I love how easy it is to create nicely designed presentations and booklets. I use InDesign for creating external and internal work documents (guidelines, pitches, moodboards/inspo for photo campaigns, etc). I will use this in conjunction with Adobe Acrobat pdf to do super quick edits, instead of editing and re-exporting the file from InDesign. The entire design team at work uses the Adobe suite, so it's a no-brainer to use InDesign for anything booklet or pdf related.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Not much, but sometimes it can be confusing when exporting to specific formats like booklets for printing, but a quick Google search can help.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating nicely designed documents for personal and work use. The built-in guides make it super easy to ensure text is aligned correctly.

 ### 7. Flyers to magazines - Indesign makes them look great!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jessica B. | Assistant Director of Operations, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 22, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I love the amount of control I have with Adobe InDesign. I am able to make intricate adjustments to my text spacing and create a document that looks exactly how I want it.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe InDesign does have a mighty learning curve and I have found that using their guides and other tutorials on youtube is a great way to learn how to navigate the system with more ease than just jumping in cold.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe InDesign provides the designer a way to adjust their work to be exactly what they want without having to rely on templates or basic layouts. I create most of my flyers and graphic-heavy documents in InDesign for the ease of making them exactly how I want them to look. InDesign offers full control.

 ### 8. When it comes design for print there is no other software other than Indesign

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Krushna P. | Senior Graphic Designer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 15, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

We can edit multiple pasges at same time and arrange text in way possible with consistency.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

When it comes to vector files it cannot edit them like illustrator.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Indesign helps me design ads for print media where I can design while meeting technical requirements for printing.

 ### 9. The best of the Adobe Suite

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Holly D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 04, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I love InDesign SO MUCH. I use it all the time for my book cover design business. I can create beautiful layouts for the inside and outside of books. I've been experimenting with interactive PDFs too, and they're wonderful!

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There's not much that I would change about InDesign. The only thing that is tricky for me is figuring out how to do something new. It's challenging to describe the thing I need because it's so visual. It can take a while for me to find a solution on Google or the Adobe help page for this reason. That's the nature of the visual medium though. It's the same in Photoshop or Illustrator.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I don't know how I'd run my business without InDesign. It's absolutely essential for all my formatting needs and allows me to get files ready for print with minimal stress.

 ### 10. Great for editorial designs and presentations

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Maricarmen d. | Strategic Advanced Designer @ CIMA2025, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 24, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I love everything about InDesign! First of all, the way you can design master pages and use those formats in the pages you need makes it so easy to be organized and come up with a super professional-looking design. I also love their customer support and tutorials that come with the software; it is very easy to learn how to use it. You can also use one of their beautiful templates.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Although it is easy to learn to use Adobe InDesign, it might be a little confusing initially if you haven't watched any tutorials. Also the documents and software can be a bit heavy on your computer

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe InDesign helps me create professional editorial designs and it is very easy to use, besides doing presentations you can also create mirrored pages and its so easy to have a much more realistic view of your design with those features.

 ### 11. A great tool to design Documents and Booklets.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

2 - Show all pages together. Easy to work on it.
3 - It also provides a collaboration tool to work with a team simultaneously.

1 -Crashes a lot
2 - Software is expensive
3 - image editing can be included within the tool
4 -

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great tool for creative eBooks, Magazines, Case studies, whitepapers and Other print collateral like flyers and brochures. Its saves a lot of time when work with team.

 ### 12. Adobe Indesign is the trusty software for digital and traditional printing!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jemm B. | Contributor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

The upside for Adobe Indesign is that it is already integrated with the Adobe Creative Suite. Images can be directly linked from Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator so it's easier to work seamlessly.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Honestly, there are currently some bugs that I encounter from time to time but I think Adobe slowly fixes these bugs through patches. These bugs also arise from 3rd party products so I don't think there's much to be done to make Indesign 100% bug-free. For the most part Indesign is very reliable and usable for its purpose

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Indesign is great at creating organized designs for digital and traditional books and magazines. It can handle multiple chapters, automate table of contents links and easily import images. It also has built-in spell checkers, rulers, and grids to easily align the elements (text, images, etc.)

 ### 13. An amazing program for brochures, books, magazines etc...

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Graphic Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Indesign is ideal for creating and publishing brocures!

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There's a bit of a learning curve, but it's a non issue iy you're pretty well versed with using the Adobe creative suite.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

No real problems per se, but I used it heavily for in school brochure project assignments.

 ### 14. One of the best options for editorial and layout design

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Alejandro B. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 14, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

The interface of the app seems to me one of the points in favor, since you have at hand the tools you need to do the job and the flow is more dynamic when diagramming.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

One of the situations I've run into that I think they could work on is the files from the newer versions are not compatible with older versions of InDesign, so you have to export it in .idml or package it or package it to save the file in a compatible version.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InDesign continues to be one of the best alternatives when it comes to laying out different types of content, and I think one of the best things I have been able to observe is that the learning curve is not very long.

 ### 15. Always changing, but needed for business

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Hospital & Health Care | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 12, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I like that it is easily accesible within my Mac and that I can quickly access documents.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I dislike that there are constantly updates which require system refreshes and pausing to learn the new interfaces.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is solving the need for standard platforms that we can create and edit in. It's the easiest way to alter files and make quick changes.

 ### 16. Adobe Creative Cloud is a comprehensive suite of design and creative tools.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** robobeast b. | software engineering, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

There are several things that I like about Adobe Creative Cloud:

Versatility: The software includes a wide range of applications that are suitable for a variety of creative professionals, from photographers and graphic designers to video editors and more.

Intuitive user interface: The software is easy to navigate, making it accessible to users of all skill levels.

Comprehensive suite of tools: Adobe Creative Cloud offers a comprehensive suite of tools that can help users create high-quality visual content for a variety of mediums.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

One potential drawback of Adobe Creative Cloud is the cost. The subscription-based pricing model can be a bit steep for some users, especially if you only need access to a few specific applications. Additionally, some users may find the software to be overwhelming due to the large number of features and tools available, which can take some time to learn and master. Finally, the software requires a stable internet connection to function, which can be a problem for users with poor connectivity or those working in areas with limited or no internet access.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Creative Cloud is solving several problems for creative professionals, including:

Lack of access to powerful design and creative tools: The software provides users with access to a wide range of applications that are essential for creating high-quality visual content, such as Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Premiere Pro.

By solving these problems, Adobe Creative Cloud is benefiting users by enabling them to create professional-grade visual content, stay up-to-date with the latest technology, and collaborate with others easily. This can help users to improve their productivity and efficiency, and produce better quality work.

 ### 17. User-friendly

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I like how user friendly it is and easy for someone to learn. It allows you to customize your documents very well and all of your margins/print settings.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

The one thing about InDesign that can be frustrating is when I have an image on my document and I go to add a textured photo over or next to it, it automatically merges the two layers so I can't adjust them individually.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Abobe InDesign allows me to create fully customized documents to send to a printer or print in-house for promotional or informational products to share with customers or other professionals in the same field.

 ### 18. Wonderful experience to use Adobe Indesign

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shehroz H. | Senior Executive Accounts , Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

The most useful feature of Adobe InDesign for me is the ability to design more than one page at a time. The best thing is that a booklet can be designed in one file without any limitations.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I don't believe there is anything I dislike about it, but it does require very little training to use.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems that Adobe InDesign is solving are as follows:
1- I can design my company polies by using InDesign.
2- Company's booklets, i.e. yearly reports are designed in it.
3- We are designing magazine of our company by using this software.
4- Catalogues, brochers etc that are in form of more than 01 pages are designed in this software.
5- I am designing promotional meterials, i.e. calenders etc. by using this software.

 ### 19. I've been using InDesign for over 20 years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Eileen C. | Web & Digital Marketing Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 26, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

It doesn't everything. I don't have to change my vision to fit the program I'm using.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

It is expensive and has so many features. Even after using it for 20 years I'm sure there are things I don't know about.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I can create anything I can think of.

 ### 20. Handy. Useful.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Abel Ernesto D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I like the intuitive HUD of InDesign. That has helped me make and design newspapers and magazines as a student. I also love the mini-tutorials for each tool. They make them handy.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I have not encountered any problems using InDesign at the time

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InDesign makes it easier to create and design magazines, newspapers, and general editorial design.

 ### 21. Adobe InDesign is the solution to all your printing woes

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Dareen M. | Multimedia Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe InDesign is unmatched with the options it offers for print design. No other software can measure up to its level of innovation for print design. It has everything you need for print design more all in one place.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

InDesign can be intimidating to learn at first and even more so if you want to look deeper than the surface of its features but this challenge is worth it because in the end InDesign is the go to app for print design and all it entails.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Designing for print is a challenge in a world equipped for the digital part more than the print, but InDesign makes this challenge doable with its host of features for customisation of your designed work and its print needs.

 ### 22. Best product for multipage layout

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lexi C. | Marketing Operations Coordinator, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 30, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

The ease at which InDesign integrates with the other products in the Adobe suite allowing you to create multipage documents with ease and keep to branding standards.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I don't like the newer versions where when you click it only selects the top element first and you sometimes hve to navigate or move objects if you don't want to dive into the layers tab.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creating a consistent look across multipage documents with multiple "templates" that you can just drag and drop after designing along with the design capability that Adobe always brings.

 ### 23. Good tool to integrate with other Adobe products

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Mattia M. | Project Manager, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

the flexibility and discrete compatibility with multiple outputs

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Hard to understand UI at the beginning, on first approaches. Especially colouring

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Reducing the dimension of files I'm working on, compared to photoshop.

 ### 24. InDesign is the best tool for layout

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 01, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I love how you can easily create layout designs such as catalogs, ads, reports, etc. The interactive options are great, so after you make a PDF, you can tap the "hotspots," and it can jump to where you want to go. You can generate a Table of Contents and automatic page numbers, making it easy for large documents.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There isn't much I don't like about InDesign. I can also create graphics in InDesign, so I don't have to do it in Illustrator and place them in, but you are limited with the tools. Style sheets to me are difficult to understand and set up, so I do a lot of things manually, but that's a learning curve for me.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InDesign enables me to create my reports for work and have them look polished and professional. There is so much you can do there that you can't do in something like Word or PowerPoint.

 ### 25. Indesign

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 31, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Ease of use and publishing tools. I like the QR Code generator and the interactive PDF tools.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I do not have dislikes. I love this program.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this program to produce most all our publications. I could not do my job without this software!

 ### 26. Integrating Airtable with InDesign has transformed our production of large catalogs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Bree T. | Creative Director, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 17, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

InDesign is a fantastic platform for layout design. We use it daily in our industry, and it has so many capabilites inherently. Its power is almost limitless when you start to consider plug-ins and integrations.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

One of my largest pet peeves with InDesign is the gradient tool and how buried some of the type settings are. It takes a very long time to find the vertical paragraph alignment tool. It is so buried now.
Additionally, the integration with Airtable through a 65bit Plugin causes InDesign to crash multiple times and corrupt files. This has gotten much worse with the new InDesign update.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

With the integration with Airtable, InDesign is allowing us to produce catalogs with thousands of products in a few hours, whereas that process would typically take months. The integration pulls data directly from our client's Airtable database creating less human error and more consistent messaging across platforms.

 ### 27. The essential tool for any graphic designer or creative

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lizeth H. | Creative Director, Design, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

One of the best things about Adobe Creative Cloud is the seamless integration between applications: you can easily switch from Photoshop to Illustrator and then to InDesign, so you can create different types of visual content in one place. Plus, the apps are regularly updated with new features and performance improvements.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe Creative Cloud can be a bit expensive for some users. The user interface can also be intimidating, especially for new users with no graphic design experience.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Creative Cloud has greatly improved my creative workflow. I can now create projects and produce high-quality visual content in one place. This saves time and reduces the need to switch between different tools. In addition, Creative Cloud's new features and constant updates help me keep up with the latest design trends.

 ### 28. The gold standard

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Rich C. | Content and DAM Evangelist, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 13, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

InDesign is the gold standard. I've been around since the Quark days, and nothing nothing has come along that can top the power flexibility and universality.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

If there is something to dislike it's the difficulty in working with files from different versions of ID. They limit you to two generations ago of software.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

All of our clients use it and so it is absolutely necessary that we understand it at a fundamental level.

 ### 29. Review for Adobe Creative Cloud

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

 ### 30. InDesign is perfect for my flyer and print publication needs

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jim N. | Sr. Director of Digital Marketing, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

As with all Adobe products, it just feels intuitive because the layout and the icons across all their products are very similar. I really love the effortless copy/paste import option from Illustrator that was added. It makes pasting from illustrator super quick and easy.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I wish there were more options for free templates. There are a few good options, but I feel this is one area Adobe could ramp up and improve on. Additionally, it is hard to get one-on-one customer support. I realize Adobe is a large organization; however, it would be nice to have that level of support as needed for its customers.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe InDesign helps us with small print publication items - mostly flyers for our internal audience. I know that you can produce much more complicated publications, but we primarily use it for these smaller team flyers that we put up in break rooms.

 ### 31. Adobe Indesign is very user friendly.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 07, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I love how Adobe Indesign is very user friendly.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

The one thing i would say could improve is when i am working with extremely large files sometimes it tends to go into not responding.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Indesing allows us to create a multitude of different design pieces for companys across the US.

 ### 32. One of the Most Useful Programs that I Have Ever Used

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ethan O. | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 06, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

It works seamlessly with every other Adobe program. It is seamless to take a design from Adobe Illustrator and drag it into InDesign. The paragraph styles and character styles are fantastic.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

The share-for-review feature often malfunctions. It usually doesn't load and is not reliable. If there is a review of the document, I will always export it and review it outside of the InDesign review functionality.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

My documentation, with diagrams, photos, and information tables, can be highly complex. InDesign allows you to drag things around seamlessly so that you can depict the information in the exact way that you need for the audience you'll be sending the documents.

 ### 33. Industry standard for good reason

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Aiesha D. | Owner, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

If you're familiar with the Adobe family of products and need a print layout program, InDesign is a no-brainer. The interface is similar to other Adobe apps and, therefore, very easy to get used to. It's robust and has all the features necessary for professional print publishing. Adobe's website has excellent tutorials for all aspects of the program, whether you're a beginner or an advanced user looking to fine-tune your skills.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I actually have no complaints. One aspect of using any professional-level Adobe product that some may find frustrating is that they've moved to a subscription-based service, but this was years ago, and I'm sure it's not really news to most of you reading this. I'm not sure if it's worth the cost and commitment if you only need to use this program occasionally.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

As someone with a graphic design and studio artist background, I find InDesign to be invaluable. Like most designers of my generation, I use it in conjunction with Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator for a seamless workflow. I use it for everything from print ads to package design, and it allows me to create any file type needed by printing companies.

 ### 34. InDesign Used to Make Activity Magazine

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Louis D. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 28, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

You can make anything for print/visual media and it works seamlessly with Photoshop and Illustrator. Also, it makes very nice interactive PDF document files that you can place anywhere.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There's a learning curve to using it. Once you understand it, the possibilities are endless. There are lots of tutorials that help you learn the program.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It could create an interactive activities magazine published online with hyperlinks to videos. Also, it allows for unlimited creativeness because you can create any typr of document with it.

 ### 35. User of many years

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Gía G. | Socia-Directora Diseño Editorial, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 16, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

It's very versatile, and each update resolves issues that come up for me as an editorial designer. It's very intuitive and easy to use, all the tools make sense. Must confess that I am so happy with Adobe InDesign I haven't been tempted to use a competitor.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

My main concern is that the export to PDF settings sometimes confuse me a bit, because of some terms, but it's nothing that a tutorial video can't fix.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

They are making some terms more easy to understand.

 ### 36. It has every tool needed to be a creative

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Collaborating on projects with peers is a little difficult

My main use case is photography and Lightroom is great at streamlining my workflow. I also use InDesign for layout work and the tool is quite intuitive and seamless

 ### 37. Best desktop publishing experience. period.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chris W. | Vice President Marketing, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe InDesign is the best desktop publishing software in the industry, bar none. It is easy to use, easy to set up templates, easy to modify and customize and easy to work with fonts and imagery. Support is perfect and community is robust.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Younger staff have a harder time trying to learn all the ins and outs of the software. There seems to be five different ways to do each task, which can be confusing to many users as it makes the software overly complex.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe InDesign is our desktop publishing solution. We won't use it for much else at this point, but it does a flawless job of allowing us to create e-books, brochures, pamphlets, PDFs, handouts, booklets and more.

 ### 38. The venerable standard for our technical documentation design.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ryan Q. | PCBA Specialist, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 17, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

After honing our datasheet template over the years, InDesign makes it fast and easy to iterate, enhance, and alter depending on the specific needs of the project.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

The move to CC and subscription took some getting used to but we have adapted and continue to enjoy and utilize the CC suite. Subscription is simple but not owning the software can be difficult when changing machines.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Creation of Datasheet / Technical Documentation templates which can be edited and finished quickly and elegantly. All the Adobe magic baked in here as well. Easy continuity between Illustrator.

 ### 39. A very robust platform with so many uses!

I primarily use InDesign for Event Stationery Design. There is a learning curve; however, Adobe does a great job of offering resources to educate users. There are a lot of features that you wouldn't think InDesign has to offer.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I don't have any major dislikes. You must be prepared to spend a lot of time learning the software.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm a Stationery Designer for weddings and special events. I'm able to prepare my designs for professional print production.

 ### 40. The best Magazine Designer app

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Ananthu V. | DAO Member, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 05, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe InDesign is the best Magazine Designer.
I was totally new to magazine designing but itwas very easy with the help of Adobe InDesign.
It has a super simple User Interface anyone could very easily use it.
It includes a wide varieties of templates and automatically create matching text fonts and other formatting.
It supports all the latest graphic design formats we can also integrate it with other Adobe applications like Creative Cloud.
We can share the work with others and can work together.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I don't have any dislikes for the Adobe InDesign software. Most of the Adobe Products subscription packages are little overpriced but I think this one has a fair subscription price .

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I mainly used the Adobe InDesign to create a magazine about our project.
It was very easy.
I was able to share the work with my team through collaborate with others
I can also access my work from anywhere seemlessly.

 ### 41. InDesign allows us to easily create marketing material!

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

InDesign is very intuitive and allows us to use many file types and quickly create different page layouts for both digital and print.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There isn't anything we dislike about InDesign. It is everything we need in layout design software.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InDesign allows us to quickly create content for our print and digital media as well as reuse a lot of assets when creating or updating layouts saving us time.

 ### 42. Still the Best Desktop Publisher

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 20, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Seamlessly integrates with all Adobe products.
Incredibly powerful layout options without it being overwhelming for newer users
Forward-looking support for new technologies (graphic formats, scripting)

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

It's getting better, but compatibility between versions is an issue.
It's part of Adobe's expensive CC subscription.
Incredibly resource intensive. You must have a powerful computer to run.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use this primarily to layout and design magazines, corporate reports, and brochures. InDesign makes creating collateral easy. Type controls are fantastic — it's the backbone of our workflow.

 ### 43. One of the best multi-page design software

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Paul G. | Marketing Advisor, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 25, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Connects to other Adobe applications
Frequently updating with new tools and feautures
Stunning and diversified text-design tools
Has a simple organization and import feature

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

No simple photo-editing tools
Not for beginners; sometimes tricky to download library items
Can only be used to build magazine or book layouts or master formats. For this reason, Adobe Indesign lacks the necessary capabilities if you desire a more intricate and thorough design.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can organize our work in the InDesign workspace.
With Adobe Creative Cloud, we can synchronize our work between many devices.
You'll need to locate the software that can optimize your advertising strategies. Thank goodness for InDesign! Adobe InDesign, one of the key components of Adobe's Creative Cloud, assists us in making the most of their print, digital, and editorial projects and campaigns.

 ### 44. Adobe Creative Cloud and Apps...What can I say!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe Creative Cloud has been quite helpful in the fact that they offer all the products in the subscription package. It allows our users to select the packages that they want and it stays up to date. And Adobe is the best at the creativity software. Just none like it

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I dislike some of the changes to how the different buttons/hot keys function. But that is just me being set to how they functioned before different upgrades that took place.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe Creative Cloud is helping us by giving an incredible platform of apps for our creative team. From doing simple instructional diagrams to some very creative videos and graphics. It can do it all with the proper training and practice on usage.

 ### 45. Great yet frustrating

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emanuel G. | Web Developer, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 05, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

One of the strongest layout design tools currently available. It's great for small-scale projects as well as multi-hundred-page publications.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

So many features don't reflect how other adobe apps work by default, which is a blend of frustrating and annoying. For example, using click and drag selection in Illustrator captures grid lines, the same function in indesign does not.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Multi-page layout, brochure design, graphic design.

 ### 46. One of the Best Layout Programs Out There!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Shannon R. | Visual Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

For me, InDesign checks all of the boxes needed to be successful when creating a layout of any kind. From assistance with booklets to preflight checks, I have found it to be super helpful. The tools for typography customization are well thought out and have not left me wanting more.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There isn't much to dislike, but I wish there were a more straightforward tool/method for masking images, similar to the capabilities of Illustrator and Photoshop. Maybe I don't know yet, and a tutorial is waiting for me.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am a visual designer and work with print layouts almost daily. To have a tool such as InDesign that assists you and makes things easy helps a lot. I've tried other layout programs and InDesign is the clear winner in my opinion.

 ### 47. Adobe Indesign Insight

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 19, 2023

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

The most helpful aspect has been the ease of placing photos and the ability to crop the image in the document without having to use an object mask like Abode Illustrator. Adobe InDesign is exceptional for publication design.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Least helpful is the ease of color interface.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it for all my daily assignments as a graphics designer. Creative communication problem solving is my job and Adobe Indesign helps facilitate all aspects of design.

 ### 48. Great editorial software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Luis A. | Industrial Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

It's an excellent software for ordering your document with pictures and text. The way you can place the elements is straightforward, and the interface is user-friendly, making it easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I didn't dislike anything about the program, as the editorial projects' capabilities are excellent.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Make a document that has design and order. It's great to make digital files or PDFs with many pictures into a low-byte file. I make presentations and documents in Indesign that give a great image to the files I send to my clients.

 ### 49. Software for Visual Design

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Harshang J. | Intern, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe InDesign is best software to create posters, brochures, even magazines and books. I love to creat simple, clean, and engaging templates. Adobe InDesign is way better in similar softwares. One of the thing that I like is the tools contained in Adobe Indesign is that it has some image editing that can give the same effect as that of Adobe Photoshop such as shadow, bevel, glow and many more.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe InDesign has some weaknesses. It only can be used to create layouts or master format for magazines or books. If we want to create more detailed design than it does not have enough tools.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe iss working hard to solve problems in their softwares. Adobe InDesign has a problem that it crashes intermittently while working offline. Also while importing an item as an object an invisible layor is incorrectly displayed. This are the problems that i faced and adobe is solving. And it will be beneficial to users.

 ### 50. Adobe In Design

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

It can be a little complicated to learn at first, but with training is an extremely useful platform.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It makes it easy for us to design in one platform.
