If you are familiar with Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator, then you can easily use this. The best part about it is that you can easily manage your workspace. While working on heavy files, you may experience some lagging, and sometimes, it gets crashed.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 29, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

The best thing about Indesign is it allows you to create great flyers, postcards, and print marketing pieces. It will enable you to pull elements from adobe photoshop and illustrator, making each piece unique and creative. If you are familiar with Adobe, it is not a complex platform to learn.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

The thing I dislike about Adobe Indesign is the shortcuts are not the same as they are in Illustrator, making it a little confusing. I also wish you could edit images and crop them more effciently as you can do on other adobe platforms.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am creating unique and fun marketing elements with Adobe Indesign using pieces I created in Illustrator and photoshop.

  ### 8. A comprehensive software for Layout Designs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** October 02, 2021

The complete tool set required for putting together both text and images in a document specially the content box approach. Integration with other Adobe software's like Photoshop and Illustrator is really amazing.

The color picker needs to be improved. It's not intuitive

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign:**

Utilize the fantastic combination of the Adobe Ecosystem and its smooth interface.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am working on creating reports for publishing in the domain of building energy performance. InDesign has made the process of managing and layouting the content of report very easy and smooth.

  ### 9. Simple to Use, Easy to Love

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Zachary Z. | Student, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 27, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I used Adobe InDesign throughout college as one of the editors for the school newspaper. For us, InDesign served its purpose and much more -- it was incredibly intuitive (the buttons all have icons that are easy to understand and predict their functions) but also quite powerful. When you hover your mouse over an unidentified icon, the program gives you a preview of what that button does.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I found that InDesign worked much more seamlessly on a PC than on a Mac, and so interested customers should take note of this discrepancy. Aside from this, InDesign is best used with a mouse -- on a trackpad, unlocking most of the features that make it so exceptional becomes much more difficult.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We used InDesign to design the pages of our college newspaper before sending them off to the printer. InDesign allowed us to send our pages through multiple levels of the editing process and thus created the best product possible.

  ### 10. Great for Page Layouts

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in E-Learning | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 16, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Once you get the hang of the program, its ease of use is excellent. And it InDesign can convert to PDF or epub, coding your project in HTML automatically for you!

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There is a bit of a learning curve, especially if you are not familiar with Adobe products. It was hard to get my whole team on board.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Unifying documents, and making all documents have the same specs is easier than ever.

  ### 11. Perfect for document projects!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Mental Health Care | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 06, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I like how easy it is to set up documents and items ready for print. The shortcuts are similar to other Adobe products which also helps. It's the first Adobe product I learned and it was the easiest.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I wish there were more templates to use. Otherwise, I don't really have any dislikes.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It's perfect for flyers, banners, brochures, and business cards, all which we regularly need. It integrates well with other Adobe products as needed, too!

  ### 12. Top of the Line, Always Improving

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Design | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I use InDesign almost every day at work. The best thing about InDesign is that it helps keep all of my presentations consistent, organized, and professsional looking.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There is very little to dislike about InDesign. When I have larger files placed into presentations, it can sometimes be slow to process them. Other than that, I rarely run into problems.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're constantly revising various projects. InDesign helps us make quick adjustments to our internal documentation and client presentations. It makes many tasks more efficient because they can be digital instead of analog.

  ### 13. Wonderful program for all printed materials!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 15, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

It's very easy to use and doesn't make the final files too large. It also makes updating lots of copy easy with their "style" assignments. With a couple quick steps, you can make a global change to the style of copy (font size, thickness, etc.). You can also copy and paste elements directly from Illustrator into InDesign which makes things super easy!

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I wish they included more options to manipulate the stroke of text like Illustrator so that it was more of a "one stop shop".

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Laying out printed files – anything from a simple poster to a multi-page booklet or catalog. Mixing text and images – knowing it will all be high resolution in the end.

  ### 14. Great Desktop Publishing Software

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Nathan V. | Graphic Designer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 28, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Integrates nicely with other Adobe CC programs. Simple navigation and clean interface.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There is a bit of a steep learning curve if you've never used it before.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe InDesign allows me to create great-looking designs from posters to brochures and so much more.

  ### 15. A great program for many things

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Chari C. | Business and Product Photographer, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 24, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I love how each one of the Adobe products connect with each other. You can bring a photo in, then edit it in photoshop and it will update to the changed photo. It is pretty easy to go in and work with any of your documents. If there isn't a file type you can use, there are other programs you can use to bring it into InDesign or you can find a plugin that will work with it as well.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

At first, it is a little hard to figure out where everything is. There are times where you have to use a search engine to figure out where an option is, or to see if it even has it. The longer your document gets, the slower the loading time to start as well as to do any processes when it is open. You will want to make sure the computer can handle the program or plan for the slower program. Most computers nowadays can handle the processing speeds.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign:**

Just go ahead and get it. If you are on the fence, Adobe has a free trial of all of their programs. They also offer a low monthly fee instead of having to buy the program outright for several thousand dollars.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

InDesign is great for putting documents together or creating Ebooks. It is also a great program for editing PDFs. Once you get to know your way around the program it makes things simpler. It is much easier to piece together PDFs than with any other program out there.

  ### 16. InDesign Review

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I have not had any issues with this software, and nothing is missing for not working correctly from the product. I think they are doing a great job with the updates as well.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have not had nay problems with Adobe InDesign. I am benefitting financially from this product because it has been helpful to advertise and get information spread around.

  ### 17. BEST FOR DESIGN

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Praveen B. | M.C.R, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe InDesign is easy to use. We used all Adobe collection and InDesign plays very well with other apps. InDesign is all rounder in Adobe collection. Adobe InDesign saves so much time for you.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I do wish there were some enhanced quick keys for Mac pro keyboards without buying a number pad. InDesign is not as user-friendly for anyone who is new to platform.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

If you're going to be working in print, this is a great product to use. Watch video tutorials and do free exercises to get the hang of it. Also use the Adobe community forums for support.

  ### 18. Easy to Use and Intuitive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Stephi W. | Copywriter and Editor, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Although there is a bit of a learning curve, once you get past it, the software is easy to use and navigate.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There is a bit of a learning curve that makes the software a bit intimidating to start out with.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have used this to solve my need for creating website designs as well as designs for print media. This is a multi-faceted service that I did not realize until I first dove in.

  ### 19. InDesign makes it easy

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Kasey S. | Development & Events Coordinator , Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 21, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I love that InDesign makes flyer creation easy. Yes, it can be not very easy when you're first learning, but it's MUCH more manageable once you're used to the control panel and how it works. InDesign makes our flyers clear and is helpful when sending items to the print shop, as you can designate the bleed and margins.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

InDesign can be picky when dropping items into the workspace. Sometimes when dragging a photo into the workspace, it'll go into the wrong layer, and things will be hard to move. A little googling solves the issue, but it's still annoying.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We're able to make professional flyers in-house rather than outsourcing the job. InDesign allows us to save money AND time.

  ### 20. Best Layout Program for collaboration

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Working in Indesign across team collaboration with the Creative Cloud Libraries has entirely changed the way that we work.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Previously we were able to all work in the same document. I would really like to see this compatibility in a future release of indesign.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign:**

If you are looking for an industry-standard step up from PowerPoint, this is it!

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are making clean, crisp, and on-brand presentations with Adobe InDesign. The biggest benefit is through the creative cloud libraries, we can put any file in any other item.

  ### 21. InDesign is the must have layout program

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 02, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I like how easy it is to use InDesign to layout brochures, print magazines, PDFs, presentations, banner ads, and print ads. The program works with the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite. The program allows you to place photos easily and copy them into any layout design. The use of layers and master pages helps create templates for other designers to follow and speed up your design time.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

InDesign has very few negatives. Adobe does a great job of keeping the program updated and relevant to current designs. Sometimes it isn't easy to work with layers in InDesign. When you copy a page, it will go to the end of the document, and then you have to move it to where you would like it to go. I also would like for the spell check to be improved.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign:**

If you are going to use InDesign, consider getting the entire suite versus just buying the individual program.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am creating templates for media kits for other team members to use and duplicate without having to start from scratch. I also am creating house ads for print production as well as brochures.

  ### 22. Great for virtual and physical material

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Online Media | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** January 20, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Adobe InDesign is spectacular for creating your own book, magazine, pamphlet. The only limits are your imagination. This is a simple to use design program for someone in the media field, or even a beginner interested in learning to design layouts for all the above.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Once again, Adobe nailed it. There isn't a thing I would change. Like I said, Adobe keeps all their programs in mind for beginners with the intricacies a professional desires.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe InDesign allowed me to create my cookbook without limiting myself to silly templates that a lot of similar web services offer. I am able to encapture me.

  ### 23. Highly Recommend

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Julia C. | Market Builder, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I really appreciate the tutorial tips within the apps. It helps for when there is a new update or it has been a while since I've used a program and I need a refresher.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I would say the lack of communication within the updates. I think it would help to preface updates with a notification that it will be happening and what to expect.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am solving format problems. It allows me to clearly and completely have a solution for formatting and editing.

  ### 24. Intuitive design layout program

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

It takes some time to learn, but once you get the hang of it, it's an excellent tool for your design needs!

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Great for being able to duplicate spreads for flyers with different team members on it. We use it for our mortgage company, and it's a time saver! InDesign has excellent features. I wish that it was compatible with Photoshop.

**Reviewed Date:** February 04, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

What I love most about this program is that if I am doing a Poster, I can link a photoshop file or Illustrator file into Indesign. Indesign might not be a user-friendly software, but the benefit is you are not running into limitations like other online softwares.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

It is not User Friendly. It is a love-hate thing.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I benefit in the sense that my file isn't so heavy. If I need to update my photoshop and any adobe file quickly, I can do that. Just a click of refresh will update my indesign.

Designing faster.
It helps to create multiple templates quickly which can be used by my team later on & help to m ake changes as per as our client needs.

  ### 28. Best tool for designing layouts and print material!

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 08, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

This tool is a one-stop destination for so many kinds of design - newspaper, magazine, poster, flyer, postcard, book, brochure, resume, and so many others! It's simple to use and offers a great user interface. The shortcuts are extremely handy too. Even the most technical aspects of this software are easy to learn and understand. There is nothing superficial about it or its features that a newbie will find hard to figure out. All in all, it's a great software that enables you to design great publications in various formats and is extremely flexible to deal with.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I have used InDesign to learn Newspaper design in college during my Journalism classes and it was so easy to learn and adapt to. I did not find anything that isn't good about this software.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Adobe InDesign was a great part of my graduate year in college as I had to work on it almost every day for college assignments. The best part about it is the ease of use it offers along with a great user interface. It's also very light as compared to other Adobe products, thus, it doesn't crash your system, unlike Premiere Pro or Photoshop. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to design print products as this is not just the industry standard but also a brilliant one to use.

We are able to do great quality presentations with an easy to use interface

  ### 30. Huge variety of design possibilities and to create print pdf

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

created templates for digital printer and offset print plates; the high variety of functions makes it an excellent support for nearly every issue in graphic industry

  ### 31. Easy to use - create eye-catching publications

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Katie S. | Administrative Assistant II, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 13, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Formatting, formatting, formatting! Adobe Indesign makes good formatting possible for your publications and designs. I've used Canva before and loved it (it's extremely user-friendly), but it didn't have the formatting capabilities of Indesign.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There's definitely a learning curve when it comes to using InDesign. It took a week before I could create a good-looking newsletter, and there's still so much more to learn. On the positive side, that means that there are many more features to explore.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I currently create a monthly newsletter for my department in InDesign. The formatting capabilities of InDesign are superior to Canva, which is what we previously used for our department newsletters. I've also used InDesign to create personalized name tags.

  ### 32. Excellent Layout Software for All Your Print Needs

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jesse W. | Senior Product Designer, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** September 29, 2017

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

The integration with illlustrator and photoshop and the seamless experiences between the three are good. Keyboard shortcuts are generally the same across the software as well.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Print design in general, is dead. Adobe dominates the print design software industry still, unlike the web design industry. They need to do better or they're going to become obsolete.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Learn QuarkXPress back in the early 2000s and having lots of frustration with it, InDesign was a welcomed relief with its integration with Illustrator and Photoshop

  ### 33. Adobe InDesign Review

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 17, 2019

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I really like the means of organization that Adobe InDesign provides for users. When working on brochures or text heavy work, InDesign is always my go to.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I really don't have many dislikes for InDesign, at most I wish it would allow some of the features that Illustrator provides. Otherwise, I'd say its a great program.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign:**

Look up tutorials on YouTube if you have any troubles, otherwise I'd say I love this product.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

How to display type for works in the most visually appealing way possible for clients.

  ### 34. Super Useful!

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Media Production | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

The whole process of learning the software was pretty seamless. I used this for a large project at work, and I was relatively unfamiliar with InDesign beforehand.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

My dislike is not so much the software, but rather the onboarding of it- I wish there was a formal training process to get to know the software more. I suppose that will come with more time spent for sure. Maybe that should have come from my company, but I also would have liked to have more information about it before I began my projects.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I am learning about content creation on a larger scale and enjoy using this over brands I have used in the past. The ease with which I can curate larger projects is fantastic!

  ### 35. Best Design Program for Projects Big or Small

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Religious Institutions | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 12, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

What I like best about Adobe Indesign is that no matter how big or small the project is, I continue to gravitate toward InDesign for its all-encompassing capabilities. I have used InDesign for creating everything from promotional materials, marketing, even my professional resume. It may not be as straightforward as Canva or another free version, but it is 100% worth taking the time to learn and educate yourself on the software.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I have had multiple issues with versions of InDesign crashing and not saving my working file. It is a significant downside that the application continues to do this, but I have resolved these issues by keeping the application version updated and consistently saving as I go.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before InDesign, my organization was outsourcing all of its design needs. If anything needed to be updated or edited, they were unable to open the design documents. Now, with Adobe Indesign, we can create designs from scratch and outsource designs and revise and edit them as needed.

  ### 36. All-Around Great Product

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Emily H. | Marketing and Communications Manager, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

InDesign is a no-nonsense, fully loaded software that offers 99% of what I need for printed marketing materials all in one place.

It's very nice to be able to edit and create all of our printed marketing materials all in one place and quickly be able to modify and update them together.

InDesign allows me to handle a large number of pages and/or text while giving flexibility over the design and content. Such an useful tools to design brochures, flyers or business documents.

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Defense & Space | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

I like that, unlike a lot of Adobe applications, InDesign is quite intuitive and you can quickly learn how to use it to make a high quality deliverable.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I don't really have any complaints about this product. It works fine for my needs.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign:**

Just watch a few videos and play around with it a bit. You should be able to figure it out quickly, especially if you're familiar with other Adobe products.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have used Adobe InDesign to quickly create interactive pdfs/html that are more engaging than a regular pdf or PowerPoint, but less work than a full online course or video.

  ### 41. Absolutely essential for all DTP products

**Reviewed by:** Tamás B. | Projekt- und Forderungsmanagement, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Licensing costs since establishing a monthly subscription.

  ### 42. Learning curve required but a very helpful tool once learned

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 20, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I'm required to do a lot of graphic design type work for my job. I have no graphic design experience. There's a lot to learn and get used to, but once you're used to the tool - it's great for a beginner like me to put together documents that don't look like they were created in Word.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

There are times when I know in my head that I want done but can't figure out how to do in indesign. Sometimes it's a matter of verbiage. Some google searches typically get me to the answer.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign:**

Educate yourself on the tool to make it easier to use and to use it to its potential.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Document creation that isn't like basic word documents. Being able to embed links into my pdfs is a huge deal for my job.

  ### 43. Extremely intuitive

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Newspapers | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 18, 2018

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

If you can use PowerPoint, you can start making layouts on InDesign like a pro. Almost everything is drag-and-drop, with great amounts of flexibility and customization. Unlike so many industry-standard design software (like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop), this is not a software that's scary to new users! It really only takes watching someone else use it once to know how to use it alone (which is definitely not the case for Photoshop) - you don't need your hand held. Just go drag. The format, which kind of looks like Word (which is familiar to almost everyone) is another way users can jump in and go.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I wish it was easier to get outside into the program. The system fonts didn't always have exactly what I was looking for.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign:**

Industry standard. No reason not to use it.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I laid out print newspaper pages with InDesign. Learning how to use InDesign meant I knew the industry standard, which will be helpful in the future.

  ### 44. InDesigne-ed

**Reviewed Date:** December 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

I love the fact that the software can help you transform your skills.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

The slow learning process when it comes to figuring out how the characters and different windows and effects are present.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I have realized I can open my projects and go at my own pace, yet making sure there is always an undo button and realizing what I have done

  ### 45. Defacto Layout Program

InDesign has been around for years and is the absolute most straightforward layout program to work with for our department. The product is actively supported by the super-powerful Adobe product development. The ease of use and the power behind InDesign is why we think it is the best layout program around.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

InDesign can have a bit of a learning curve, but the process is worth it; once you get familiar with the program, you will be happy you invested the time.

**Recommendations to others considering Adobe InDesign:**

If you're familiar with InDesign, or other Adobe products, this is a no-brainer. If you're not, get some online training or some community-based training, and jump in.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I love how this software is constantly updating and giving new features. I love how I can build up image and color libraries to make the design process so much quicker.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

I wish there were some additional training to figure out what is missing from my knowledge. I believe the software can do much more than I am currently using it for, and I would love to learn more.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I use it to develop quality marketing materials for use in the field and online. It would be nice it if it allowed me to make more interactive pieces that we can use online as well as print.

  ### 49. Indesign- the go to print program?

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Marketing and Advertising | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 06, 2021

**What do you like best about Adobe InDesign?**

Indesign offers the classic adobe UI which is super helpful to designers and print production managers who want to incorporate it with their adobe program workflow.

**What do you dislike about Adobe InDesign?**

Although the UI is very similar to other Adobe programs like Photoshop and Illustrator, InDesign tends to use different shortcuts and tools than its sister adobe programs which can make it a bit time consuming to learn.

**What problems is Adobe InDesign solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've used InDesign to create Print mechanicals and package print files of ad campaigns. I've then sent the indesign packaged files to print houses to be printed and distributed in the world.
Indesign is my main program that I use to ready and produce all final print ads handled in house.
