“Over 10 years of Web Design and Development w/ Dreamweaver”
What do you like best?

Autocomplete for tags, integration with GIT, it's simple and easy to use. Easy to manage sites. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Needs to add more PHP & Javascript Autocomplete tags for functions and conditional logic. Needs to integrate better SCSS gulp and grunt. Also better integration with Drupal and Twig. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Others developers use phpstorm and others IDE's but for me that is overkill. the only issue I have w/ the creative suite from Adobe is that it went to a subscription platform which means I spend over $1000 per year to 2 apps I use on a daily basis. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

“Perfect for UX/UI Designers”
What do you like best?

The autosave feature is the most obvious help, making sure that no work is ever lost for any reason. The ability to add and save text styles and color styles allows changes to made over an entire website/app much easier and faster. Meanwhile the instant flexibility of being able to share live updates with my team/clients is a powerful tool as well, and being able to add comments to certain sections of work makes it easier for me and my teammates to communicate about edits, changes, and question very simple - even when we're working remotely. Makes editing websites and apps with multiple collaborators a breeze. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Opening Figma in my browser always seems to massive slowdown my computer. Maybe it's just a me thing, or maybe it's some sort of bug? A lot of my fonts also don't load in the browser format, forcing me to always have to open my work in the app. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you have multiple collaborators on your UX/UI projects, especially if they're working far away from one other, this is the tool for you. Remember to take advantage of all of the time-saving features it offers (ex. text styles, color styles, components, etc.) - these will save you a lot of hassle should you ever have to make changes to your design that appear in multiple places down the road. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Collaboration problems are the number one thing being solved in Figma. It's so useful that multiple team members can be working on the same file at the same time, a huge plus over designing websites in Adobe programs. The fact that the pasteboard is always as large as you want it and it's so easy to create more artboards for more ideas is also a large benefit when working on UI projects, where you might not know how big the project will be when you start. “Very intuitive tool easy to implement”
What do you like best?

Quite quick and intuitive interface, being able to switch between display mode and inspection mode is powerful and excellent to ensure that we incorporate specific configuration specifics such as the correct fonts, spacing and colors. The user may also customize interactions between designs to mimic rational behaviour, such as searching or showing etiquette, as end users perform acts such as clicking buttons, accessing links, etc. It's quick to syncrase and collect where I left off when I've begun a project with another program and want to continue working with InVision. Sharing is really effective, because when updating and implementing improvements, the team will interact with all the prototypes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I think certain things like Sketch and Photoshop are absent, which can be found in other apps. The relation above often becomes inappropriate and when a designer joins one of the screens in a prototype and removes one of them, they 'shuffle' the screens and the link doesn't open to the correct design. There is already a long way to go, and I trust that InVision continues to work to provide the software with new technologies and functionality. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

InVision is definitely the best choice if you are looking for applications that can help you save time, maximize teamwork between developers and designers, and increase contact with your customers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Using InVision, it made it easy for me to ensure that I executed a concept the right way the designer originally wanted, that I could do more work and spend less time with small-scale designers. An description of the complexity of a project prior to beginning work was often helpful. It is also beneficial for me to build prototypes and mockups that the rest of the team and consumers need to be reviewed. I enjoy its ease and the usefulness when I share it with someone else is incredible, as feedback is so simple and seamless. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Animation needs to be more smooth. Selecting the position again to animate is irritating. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

As it is very hard to show to the client my vision & the end product view Prototyping helps me a lot in that case. That is the main benefit. And also excellent wireframing experience. “UI designer with no knowledge of HTML/CSS, no worries go ahead and try Adobe Muse. It does MAGIC!”
What do you like best?

If you are a UI designer and don't know any coding language and want to make beautiful HTML pages from your Photoshop or any other design, then you have come to the right place. I recommend Adobe Muse. I am a UI/UX designer and make designs inside Photoshop but I don't know anything in HTML or CSS and sometimes clients ask you to make static pages or to build small simple website and then Adobe muse comes really handy.

It's very easy to learn and have all the basic tools you will need to make your website. Also, I really loved the recent responsive features that are added. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Whole animation options and UI is confusing and not simple enough to use.

Also, please try to add some more design tools. I would say merge Adobe XD and Muse to make the perfect product for the UI/UX Designers and Developers. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“Great for basic wireframing”
What do you like best?

Great for quickly throwing together a design idea in a wireframe to share with teammates and for quick user flow feedback. When using the tool, I often make a mockup and then export as a PDF to print out and test paper prototypes with users for feedback. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

A tad rigid in some of the functionality which sometimes makes me choose to use another tool that allows me to mainly sketch the idea out. Additional customization would help a lot for improving the product. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“All-in-one tool for UI/UX development”
What do you like best?

1. Adobe Xd has been proved one of the best tools I've ever user for UI/UX needs, earlier i used Photoshop or illustrator for the same thing i can now use xd and do it in half the time.

2. The feature i like the most about adobe xd is prototyping your designs and making a live interaction of your overall UI design which makes it easier for us and for clients to understand the overall flow in the design and if there are any flaws we can easily fix it.

3. It also has a feature of updating the existing prototype link with revised UI which makes easier for us/clients to use the same link multiple times and no hassle to find latest link in a plethora of old links, that is why i like this feature a lot.

4. Xd also has a feature called duplicating grid which makes it easier where same pattern or elements are used and you want to duplicate all the characteristics of element with element itself, this feature removes the hassle of duplicating individual element numeral times.

5. Adobe xd has enabled us to add 3rd party plugins which makes it easier to import different features from different creators which makes user to achieve their creativity with all ease.

6. You can also experience live preview of your designs on your apple iphones, this feature is only limited to IOS devices. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

1. Adobe xd is currently free for limited usage with only 1 link that you can share for prototype test and i think it should be extended to at least 2-3 links as purchasing its business version is too costly.

2. Adobe Xd only has option for live previewing in an Iphone, it doesn't have this feature for android and i think adobe should target this feature for android as majority of users still uses android.

3. Sometimes using heavy vectors can cause adobe xd to crash, which is very frustrating.

4. Animations/Auto-animations are still in progress and still need a lot of work needed to be done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Making UI designs and prototyping them was never this easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

“For experienced Web designers only”
What do you like best?

I appreciate the flexibility of this software. It allowed me to create pretty much anything from scratch as long as I knew what I was doing. I understand why one would need a software like this, if they were creating a website that needed to look a very specific way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I don't think this software should be advertised as easy-to-use. The user-friendliness of this software is low for someone who isn't an avid coder. I don't see how this software is "user-friendly" in any way unless you're already a professional web developer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best?

I love having my deliverables always with me. Being Cacoo an online service, I need not worry about which device I've been working on. Functionalities are user friendly. Re-use is definitely a pro. Team members may build on each others work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

I not very found of recurring annual card transaction coming without payment reminders in advance. Earnestly I'm not sure whether it's a configurable feature. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Imagine yourself using an old-fashioned installed software tool. You've been diagramming for hours trying to preparing the perfect stunning slide. RapidWeaver

(23)4.2 out of 5

RapidWeaver is the all-in-one web design software for Mac that enables you to build the website you’ve always wanted.

Top UX Design Software Result from Web Design

“The easiest way to make modern, adaptive websites”
What do you like best?

RapidWeaver doesn't need high level web skills to make high level sites. For a novice, RapidWeaver is point and click easy. There are excellent videos on YouTube that show you how. The raw program includes many of the powerful tools you will need.

RapidWeaver is template-based which means in addition to the built-in templates (which are superb and I use myself) there are many more free or paid-for designs to fit your web design needs. In addition are Stacks, incredible and sophisticated tools that enable you to do just about anything you need in a web site.

Making sites to fit phones, tablets, laptops or larger is automatic and RapidWeaver makes them for you. It is easy to add extra bits of code or HTML as well. Then, once the site is made, it is extremely rapid to upload changes or whole websites.

Support from the active forum is second to none. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

My only gripe is that Stacks isn't part of RapidWeaver but an add-on extension. My clients would also like to make changes to their web sites, but then, they only ruin them and what am I going to earn when they do? Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I can make a sophisticated website in a morning, then easily make additions or amendments on the fly. Maybe 5 years later, in a newer version of RapidWeaver, I can immediately understand the site and amend or extend it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Local by Flywheel is a free local development environment designed to simplify the workflow of WordPress developers and designers.

Top UX Design Software Result from Web Design

“Simple, Fast WordPress Development Tool for Spinning Up Test Sites”
What do you like best?

I love how quick and easy it is to spin up a new site. You can also clone an existing site, which copies over all content, themes, plugins, etc. Saves you a ton of time. I also love the MailHog feature which catches all mail sent from the site into an easy-to-find spot. And the use of Adminer is great for jumping into the DB real quick to play with stored values or just poke around to learn something new. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It can run a little slow at times. I'm not 100% sure if that's the software or my machine, but I suspect at least some of it is the software. I have heard other reports. But it's still a time saver over using other dev methods.

It'd also be cool if it had some way to transfer sites to live hosting platforms. I realize this is tough bc there are lots of different configurations out there, but it would be a nice addition. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

It can't hurt to set it up and give it a try. If you don't like it, simply delete your sites and the software, and no harm done. But there's a good chance it'll save you some development time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I have a few plugins that I maintain, and I use a separate site for each one. They're all set up on Local by Flywheel. It makes development of those plugins a breeze.

I also spin up quick sites to test things for clients. I can easily delete the entire site when I'm done. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

“The best prototyping tool for a UX Designer”
What do you like best?

Rapid prototyping is Axure key strength. The interface is intuitive, has library of widgets that can be dragged and dropped onto the canvas and can create highly complex interactions for web and mobile interactions. The learn curve is abit steep when you start using repeaters, variables and mathematical logic expressions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

Its collaboration and version control could be better and has room for improvement. Designers cannot collaborate on the same file in real time with a view of each other in the file. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

As a UX designer Axure RP helps with the research mapping to persona creation to user flows to wireframing to prototyping aspects of the role. Its quite a comprehensive set of deliverables one would be able to produce as a UX designer. Also testing is easy as Axure produces HTML prototypes that are browser ready at different screen sizes. “Google Web Designer fo Banner Ads”
What do you like best?

I loved how easy it was to bring design assets straight into the interface and be able to drop the layers into a timeline with keyframe which allows to so pretty amazing animations without extensive coding. The output options are also great and allow you to export in various formats including double click. If really to get a hang of if you experience with programs that use timelines and keyframes such as After Effects and for us old-timers... Flash. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike?

It does take some time to have to export all design assets individually rather than have an integration with the leading design software such as Adobe Photoshop, XD, After Effects amongst others. I also wish it integrated with more javascript libraries, GSAP, WebGL, and Canvas, which could extremely extend the animation capabilities of Google Web Designer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

If you're looking to create dynamic animated motion pieces that are mobile-friendly, with little coding you should try Google Web Designer. It's very user friendly and easy to get the hang off if you have any experience with programs using a timeline and/or keyframes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

Minimizing how much time it takes to make complicated modern animations with the ability to take PSD to HTML animations. Google Web Designer seems to have been created with digital marketing in mind, which makes it easy to package up and deliver ad sets easily. The benefits that I have realized is, that no longer do you really a separate designer and developer to create stunning dynamic animated mobile-friendly experiences.
