More so the format and design functionality offered in these document creating software is very unique and easy to use. WorkDrive also has a bell notification feature that gives me alerts whenever document changes have occurred amongst the documents that I would have shared with my team members. Sometimes I want to work on a project before it moves up to management. It can be a little overwhelming to know that there's always someone there looking at your work and GOD help you if you have micromanagers at your company (speaking from experience). If you have a good relationship with the Admin then you can request access be simplified, but sometimes that order comes from above and there's nothing you can do but have those eyes over your shoulder. Since I'm managing Sales and Marketing, I will be making this portion of the document. Others from my team have been assigned tasks to create their own training documents based on their departments. Once these are all completed, we will put it all together in one efile that can be shared with new hires. It includes everything from phone tree and extensions to a complete work diagram of who reports to who. It also includes complete job descriptions and expectations of employees. This is an important project now more than ever because of Covid-19 and the following variants.
