What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The most helpful thing about Visual Studio Code is that we can easily manage our code according to our requirements. VS Code has a user-friendly environment that helps the beginner to understand it and efficiently work on it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The least helpful thing about Visual Studio Code is that it requires some outsourcing extension while working on 3rd party applications, which is difficult to find from its library. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Code Editor I have used"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like mostly everything about visual studio code. It has great compatibility with all modern JS frameworks such as Node, React and Angular, etc. It is fast with a bulk of shortcut keys that can be used. The VS code marketplace is the one that makes it stand out from the competition. Due to its large community, all types of extensions can be easily found on vs code Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Honestly, there is nothing to be disliked about vs code, sometimes it can hang a bit and might be slow to load but I think that is more kind of memory problem rather than the app hence totally satisfied with it Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"one of the best code editors I've ever used"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The smoothness and functionalities vs code offers is unbelievable. You can literally code in any language using vscode. The variety of plugins it provides is superb. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes there are bugs and some plugins start misbehaving. But they get fixed in no time, so in my opinion the flaws are none in comparison to the functionalities and flexibility it provides Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"VSCode is de facto standard when it comes to Code/Text Editors."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Almost Everything. I have used it for several different languages like JavaScript and TypeScript. Presently I am using it for Angular.

Intellisense is a fantastic feature it has. And will continue to use it forever. Its alsi come with a dark theme and many exciting extensions to fall in love with. This is one such editor I can use for long working hours and still won't get tired because of its engaging nature. It also features an integrated terminal where in you can execute all the commands that you generally execute in command prompt. I tend to use Angular CLI extensively hence I constantly need such features just to make my life easier. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Well, there is nothing much to dislike. I would rather say there can be many more mind-boggling features hidden in it, which I might not have explored yet. But from my experience, I haven't come across anything to dislike. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Only useful IDE for angular development but with some flaws"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual Studio Code is the number one choice when working on an angular application. It has several themes, extension tools for fast development, its easy to debug using debugging shortcuts, can go to code references by pressing shortcuts without navigation and finding files manually. It is to use git integrated in it and see the code differences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There should be a feature like Visual Studio 2017 to navigate to previous/ history code lines. It can save time by not finding the last five changes manually. Also, sometime it's difficult to navigate to recent and opened tabs; there should be a horizontal scroll at the top tab bars. Sometimes in AMD processors, I found that it crashed when running angular unit test cases. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
