"A fast light weight IDE"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS code is very fast in global code search & the IDE is lightweight and doesn't require much processing power. It has a very rich extensions marketplace and the remote IDE feature is very useful. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Certain language extensions are very surface-level and don't go deeper into the code. For example, the GoLang extension support is very minimal and doesn't support many auto-fills when compared to JetBrains IDEs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

It has plugins for everyone, which allows you to create a personalized, intuitive interface adapted to the personal needs of each user.

It's free, it has git integrated making it much easier to collaborate with work teams. Super easy and fast to install and use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Consumes more ram memory than the average code editor. When using it for the first time as a beginner it is intimidating and a bit complex to create the mix of plugins that suit you. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

For certain languages like C, we need to config files and all, which are not required in several C specific IDEs, so that's a time-consuming process. if you don't use several different languages then it lacks language-specific IDEs like PyCharm for Python. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
