"Visual Studio Code is probably the best code editor on the market right now. Totally love it!"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Easy to use with plenty of customization options as well as extensions that can be installed to enhance the experience. It's also pretty quick to load and not too resource intensive, which is the most important part for me. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Main things I dislike are all of the telemetry stuff which is enabled by default, and it's not perfectly clear that it's there and how to disable it. If I remember correctly, you need it disable it in two locations, which is a pain. I've also noticed more and more resource usage over the years, but it is still acceptable for now. "Excellent Code Editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It allows many extensions that make development easy for the developer. It supports many programming languages. Great syntax highlighter, Costing is reasonable. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes it crashes on warnings and errors in the code; restart is the only option. Glitches with some plugins and restart the only option. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One of the best IDE I have used so far !"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Some major upsides to Visual Studio Code will be :

1. Visual Studio Code is an excellent tool for writing codes and getting them on the market easily. It has many features with which we can develop the codes easily and efficiently. So, for all those who are working in the field of software development, this tool will help them to develop all the codes easily.

2. Microsoft Visual Studio Code is a lightweight and powerful code editor that supports code editing, debugging, IntelliSense syntax highlighting, and other features. It has a clean interface, which makes it easy to use, and it supports extensions, which make it a powerful tool. People who work in the IT industry can use it to write codes, and designers can use it to create CSS.

3. It is a great text editor, perfect for managing code and debugging. A big plus is the inbuilt terminal. I can even run Minecraft directly without the need of a separate client. The software has the most suitable packages for all types of coding languages. Another great thing is that I can easily search for files and lines of code using the search tool. The software also has inbuilt features for editing and debugging code. Visual Studio Code is perfect for developers who want to be more productive, but isn't suited for other fields. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

If I have to think about some downsides then I would say :

1. I think the debugging ecosystem in the platform can be more improvised.

2. There should be build-in support for databases so that I can avoid installing 3rd party applications for that. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best all in one editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

This is an extremely amazing code editor with tons of features, I have mainly used for web development, so it's perfect to create projects using HTML, CSS and JS. I have also used it for API testing and some Python coding as well, so the best in my opinion is that you can use it for whatever you need, it's an all-in-one solution. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There is nothing that I dislike about Visual Studio Code. Everything works perfectly and it's constantly fixing bugs and upgrading and bringing new a better fatures. Recommended. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best IDE for programmers"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS code is the best platform for the coders to code their programs. It has functionalities like auto-comletion and syntax error detection which helps me personally a lot to find errors in my programs and correct them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes with the extensions of VS code like live share, it gives many errors and makes it hard to code along with other coders. Also VS code is not much powerful tool when it comes to compiling big programs. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best in IDEs, ideal for coding and project development"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS code is the best thing I discovered since I've been doing software development. It started as a great tool in my opinion when I first saw the integrated terminal which we use ever too often with projects. Recently, with many of my projects being Node based and integrating NPM packages, VS Code is a no-brainer in my choice of IDE. It's even a standard in my company. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code initially had somewhat of a learning curve and didn't make sense to me for Java-based projects when you had IDEs like Intellij and Eclipse. Also, every software should be packaged with dark mode enabled! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
