What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The shell on window system doesn't integrate well. If bash on windows 10 can be integrated that will be awesome. And integrated debbugger should be able to use bash. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Angular Editor Visual Studio code"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio code is one of the best editors mostly recommended for developing the Angular code Typescript alongside Javascript. Many other scripting languages like Dart can also be developed using Visual studio code. Visual studio code provides extensions for make the developer's life easy. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio code is not recommended for Phyton or PHP code

Not in all cases but in some cases we are recommended to create or use our own plugins

Visual studio code features are like hidden gems we have to spend time to research and get to know its features as they are not directly exposing them.

When there are errors while coding and then while compiling the code it throws errors but the path or directions for the errors is annoying as it won't give an exact line of error but directs to the depending line of code.

In HTML code if a tag was missed by mistake the error that shows up will be not to be the line of missing but anonymous with multiple lines of errors on compiling but not on run time. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent code editor for all levels"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The customizations and extensions make life easy. With a lot of language-specific environment integration support, we do not have to research a lot before using it.

The debugger has a lot of potentials to configure and test various languages and frameworks.

Ever since I started using it, I have never looked back! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I would recommend having pre-defined templates for teams to get started with the working environment. It could help configure the environment and extensions based on the team's processes.

Secondly, saving settings is a pain right now. Also not clear how to separate multiple environment settings like personal and work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Light, adaptable, and with a plethora of add-ons"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Everything, in fact. It's been used for a variety of languages, including JavaScript, TypeScript, PHP, and ASP.net. I use it often with Cordova, and it performs admirably.

This IDE's Intellisense has been an amazing feature. VS Code also comes with a variety of themes, my particular favorite being the dark theme, as well as a variety of fun extensions to play with, thanks to the enormous community it has recently attracted. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There isn't anything I don't enjoy about it, considering all the goodies it has to offer. Since I'm a former Visual Studio user, I'm very convinced with how compact this is according to the amount of work & tasks it can handle. It is, in fact, the best IDE, I'd say.
