"User-friendly source code editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

This tool has several features that I appreciate:

1. It allows me to choose a dark mode theme, as I work more than 9 hours daily, and it helps protect my eyesight.

2. I've seen this editor running the same way in all the Operating Systems (be it macOS or Windows OS).

3. I am a .Net developer by profession and enjoy coding using this editor. The Installation of plugins is way easier than I anticipated.

4. Debug feature is fantastic, and I use it almost daily to resolve the errors I encounter.

5. The best part is that it is free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Even though I like using it, there are a few features of this editor I don't like:

1. Unlike other products, Visual Studio Code doesn't come with a project or solution concept.

2. It's best to use this editor if we work on Lightweight text. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Developers best efficient IDE for every language"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

First, this is the best IDE I have used in my entire life. It supports almost all languages that I have ever heard. I'm using about 12 extensions with visual studio code, which still functions smoothly. The best extension is Github Copilot, which saves us time deliberately. That's why developers like me are using VS Code for coding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Honestly, there is nothing exist to dislike. However, I have some suggestions regarding the command palette. It will be easier to access if the command palette is placed on the navigation bar so we can easily add or remove remote repositories. Adding more debugging options and descriptions could make the developing experience much better. Recently, one of my colleagues told me he's facing some freezing issues in the mac terminal. "Best code editor I have ever used"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The best thing about visual studio code is that it supports many languages by which we can work on many languages like PHP, python, react etc. We can quickly run any programming language code easily. We can also debug our code & functionality with VS Code debugging feature. We can also integrate any git repository & which allows us to commit, pull & push our code into the repositories. We can do multitasking code as well using the split view feature. In split view, once you enable it will split the screen into two parts in which we can open two or more different codes. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I have been using visual studio code for the last 1 year & I didn't get any issues using it. So I am happy with the visual studio code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"VS code - One place for all types of source code editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Support to edit all types of documents.

Helps to run any command on terminal.

It supports to add various types of plug in such as JSON editor/parser, Maven and so on.

Files can be compared easily by opening 2 pages side by side. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Few people use Visual Studio code to capture meeting notes, it does not support to add image in it. Also there is no consideration of table like structure in case of creating documents.

Managing projects under single tab is difficult. It should allow projects to be opened in different windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
