What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

VS Code automatically recognises the type of file you're opening and suggests appropriate plugins making working with all languages. The themes are pretty great and its a versatile tool.

The plugin marketplace is very good and it's easy to install them.

The integrated terminal works well and the experience is very cohesive.

It's like a playground for each type of Programming languages. I was amazed after seeing the support for python notebook extension and it's interface.

It helped me in various projects like API integration and testing, Machine Learning, Data Ananysis.

I didn't found Visual studio code to be performing well in low end devices with low ram and Cpu configuration.

I have been using Visual Studio Code since more than 5 years, and I have seen huge improvement in its UI and performance. It is easy to use, It loads fast. and comes with a lot of features, You can see the button there at left side menubar to extend its functionality by adding extensions. The reason I never installed vscode on each and every computer is its setup installer download size. 98 mb for a code editor is large. I think 10 to 20 mb is ok. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
