"Excellent IDE very similar to Atom"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Excellent Typescript support, which we use heavily. Had started using Atom but like this better. Love all the plugins. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Sometimes plugins that aren't working properly can bog it down. Sometimes it doesn't recompile the TS properly for finding libs and you have to manually reload. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best Editor for front end applications"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

This editor is the best thing for mostly the front end development. It has many best features like debugging, side by side editing, Intellisense code completion, language support etc. It is easy to download and install. The syntax highlighting helps a lot in coding. Command palette is one of the most powerful utilities of this Editor. I have installed this for developing the angular 4 projects, which becomes more ease to code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There are no problems facing with this editor. I think execution should be simpler in this editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"not bad"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Its, right now, as customizable as sublime text with a very similar performance.

Community is doing a great job here Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I dont have any complain about it. Maybe the community builds a lot of things (Which is good, but infest the catalog with rubbish...) Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code is an easy to use, powerful, open-source IDE for many languages"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like that it has support for multiple languages all for free! Instead of paying for large software like Intellij(which I also use for work purposes), I can get much of the functionality in a free platform. I like that it has a useful terminal built in(I have used other terminals in software like Atom and did not enjoy it), lots of plugins, and git integration! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

So far I have not seen anything that I disliked about Visual Studio Code and have replaced Atom with it on my home computer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Light weight and Efficient IDE "
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio is the most light weight, yet advanced and highly effective IDE tool. You can install modules and integrate it with many technologies. We are using it will Nodejs, and it works just awesome. Debugging capabilities are also very good. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The autocomplete and import are not as powerful as eclipse. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My favorite development tool"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Price is great along with the large community of plugins. Have been able to find the right plugin for every project i , no longer need to have multiple other editors for each part of a solution Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Have had some performance and battery draining issues issues with newer release and am still debugging the issues. Finding features and new plugins is not the easiest, product needs better promotion. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
