"Best IDE for lightweight development"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The editor is very light weight by default. One can add plugins as per need and requirements. Most of the plugins work straight and smooth without any trouble. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Nothing in particular. When you add a lot of debugging add-ons and plugins the IDE tends to get a bit slower. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Has amazing personalisation options, and a huge community brhind creating plugins. The terminal integration in windows makes this software the only valid option for frontend developers in Windows Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Virtual Studio Code: A revolution of centralization."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I love how contained and feature rich VScode is. Instead of having multiple different programs open for web design, I can do 99% of it in app. It runs smoothly, it has a huge catalog of extensions, and it's free! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Editing some settings, like color themes, is almost impossible without extensive research into the token terminology. Also, it would be nice if there was automatic cloud backup of settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"My favorite editor; an unbeatable value"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I've bounced around with a number of editors but have recently landed on VS Code and plan to stay. As a free download, the value is incredible and the program itself is super lightweight. The UI is really clean and easy to navigate with the eyes.

As far as features go, my favorites are the debugging, the Git integration, and the library of plugins. Git along with some plugins makes this a really powerful editor. Everything just runs together really well-- this is a slick, well put together editor. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The plugin library could be a little bit more full, and the UI can feel crowded at times. Some difficulty having multiple projects open at once. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What I love about Visual Studio is how easy it is to use, and how all featured are neatly implemeted so only what you need is visible. Also the plugins are widely available Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It can be a memory hog and slow down your system if you have too many open. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
