What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

What I like the most about this development environment is the minimalism that it is, since it provides a powerful and at the same time understandable platform for large and small projects.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I do not like that sometimes the environment gets dirty and gives unknown errors and the only way to repair them is by restarting the environment.

I recommend it widely, I think it's a quite complete, powerful development environment and also easy to use.

What problems is Visual Studio Code solving and how is that benefiting you?

The last project that I developed was with angular, for which I saw myself in the duty to make use of this environment to integrate it with node and perform the corresponding deployments.

Its Open Source, it supports for all the programming languages including the SQL editors, one can customize this IDE according to the language, according to their other IDEs, one can extend this IDE as per their needs, one can customize the source code and build this IDE as per their changes. What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Fastest free IDE for Windows without sacrificing the most vital features for programming. The GIT integration with some free plugins gives you the ability to do any kind of comparison you need. Search and replace feature is also the fastest I've seen and much faster than Eclipse. It also works on Linux which is important for my development. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Plugin library not quite as diverse as some other editors. Manual configuration with JSON might be preferred in Linux environments but is not fitting when you are in Windows. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Great community supporting the IDE since it is open source. Very reliable and includes the ability to toggle between multiple shells. Highly customizable. Highly stable. Everything you practically need is in one place.

Also, you have tools that you can add onto it that the community has created. There is also a rating system for their marketplace of addons. For example, you can load an entire SQL database in a visually formatted way by adding a SQL tool. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
