"So far a good experience with visual studio code"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

A very good code editor which support languages like c,c++,python, javascript, html, css etc along with framework like django. It has a intelligent code sense which detect the code syntax properly. It also integrate with other tools like gitlab. It has a debugger which gives adequate information about program trace. Its auto complete feature is pretty fast. It also provide good routing in code throughout the entire project. It has a terminal feature which makes easy to run code inside the editor only. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The process of configuration of debugger takes lot of time as its a complex process. sometimes even after all configuration is done right it do not work.

After adding any extension a reload of VS code is required. It takes a lot of systems memory which sometimes hangs the system. For few extension it suddenly stop working. GUI programming is difficult in terms of process of configuration of a lot of things. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Coding efficiently with excellent debugger and interface."
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I like this product very much because it has excellent support with an extensive library of add-ons to support additional features such as IntelliSense code, integrate JSLint and even its integrated console, I can customize the design and colour schemes according to my tastes provides intelligence functions that allow me to quickly write the steps of script/code to make coding faster, also provides a very good debugging tool to debug the code and discover any errors. This is the most powerful and easy-to-use text and code editing program I've used so far. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

What I dislike about visual studio code is that it can be slow to start depending on the plug-ins loaded and sometimes, it gives occasional seemingly random error banners at launch that don't really affect performance, but happen (at least for me). Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"VSCode primarily for Node JS projects"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Before VSCode, there was VSCommunity which is a very good program however it's not lightweight which gives it a long time to launch. VSCode is lightweight and has plugins for better productivity, syntax understanding and file types. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It would have to be the tab ident size not being consistent when a file with code is added into the directory. The tab indent size will be based on the file's code rather than the size specified in the settings. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"All the power of Visual Studio in a tex editor"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

When you need to update a piece of code rapidly and avoid using the developer's tools (that takes a lot of time opening) Visual Studio Code saves your day, open faster than any other IDE.

With a beautiful black design and clean menus distribution, you can easily open a folder, create a file and edit your code.

Did I mention you can use windows Console, Phyton, Ruby on Rail, C#, Angular and many other programming languages on it? you don't really need any other solution just download this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There is only one thing I really don't love but I understand it's necessary and happen with all the Microsoft solutions, yes I'm talking about updates! they are annoying but useful if they don't appear when less are need would be great but that its the price you should pay for having a great tool like Visual Studio Code. "Simple and extandable"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The simplicity of the software. By default there is no tons of functionality that's you'll use once in your life, everything is customizable: themes, settings, and extensions.

I like the fact that you can create all the keyboard shortcuts that you want.

The number of extensions is just crazy, you're almost sure to find what you want. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

No native possibility to sync the themes, settings, and configuration with an account Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
