"Reliable for a lot of programming tasks"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Contrary to popular belief, visual studio code is not only a tool for website development but can also be used in other programming cases such as game development, desktop and mobile application. This is possible due to vscode's excellent support for the anguages used in these cases such as python, C, C++, java and C#. For example, the support for C# is so much reliable because of the Omnisharp plugin which provides amazing support for sln, project.json and csproj.

The new emmet syntax has been adopted quickly by vscode and this has made my coding experience much easier because the new syntax has a lot of highly anticipated and welcome improvements and additions. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Even though I like the integrated git control feature and I use it a lot, it is not as powerful as native git bash or even as the integration in webstorm. Tasks such as visualizing history, rebasing, or cherry-picking can be done within vscode and you have to go back to git console.

Searching within a project is tediously slow and when you have a large project it becomes as erious pain to perform project-wide searches Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"One awesome and compatible Editor for all the web development"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Feasibility is the most appreciated feature in visual studio code as it is feasible for writing code and it will help to restructure the code and helps code to be in the format of readability and it will give multiple relevant suggestions when we are about to code something which will helps us to code faster and easier. Auto imports and exports and auto updates is one of the most highlighted feature and i think because of that mostly people love to code on Visual Studio code. We can perform git operations using visual studio code and we can get many in build tools which will enhance the productivity of visual studio code. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Very little support to other languages like python, Its not an Integrated development editor Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The best things in life are free"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Where to start? VS Code is my go-to editor for everything I work on! It has syntax highlighting, code completion, and tons of extensions you can get for various languages and project types. It has all the features of Sublime text and Atom.io put together, minus the cost. It's hard to imagine my favorite editor would end up being a Microsoft product that runs great under linux. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The built-in git interface doesn't seem to have an especially easy to use merge conflict resolution tool - and I have yet to find an extension that works any better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fit for both beginner and experienced deveopers"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The fact that vscode, with the help of effective plugins built by the community, can be used for just about any programming need is what is sets it up as the best text editor out there. IN fact, I think that vscode is not just a mere text editor but almost a fully integrated development environment. This is because it offers just about all the essential functionality offered by IDEs.

VScode's out of the box offering is a complete utility that is ready to be used for a lot of instances without the need for adding plugins. This is especially true when the usecase is website design because it packs more than just the core support for web languages. It even provides code linting for code quality control. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

VS code can get very heavy and when you remember that despite its many offerings it's still just a text editor, it becomes harder to understand the cause of its heavy feel. This situation actually gets worse with more plugins installed because it increases its load time and the rate of consumption of CPU power. Larger projects with many files also usually have this effect on vscode where it gets slow to run and in turn slows down the computer Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

The system memory seems high while running visual studio code. The configuration for debugger is very hectic for c language and generally do not work even after set up. The user interface should be more organized. Configuration for few compiler is not good. Suggestions in syntax is not good in c language. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
