"The perfect IDE"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Simple to use, feature rich, free, and just a good ol IDE. It works exactly how I need it to and it's got extensions for multiple languages. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

There isn't anything I specifically dislike about VSC. I've used Sublime (a "pure" text editing IDE) and IntelliJ (full featured, paid IDE) and I would still pick VSC over either of them. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"The ideal tool for developing your source code"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Visual studio code has excellent functions to develop your code efficiently, it has a very agile and intuitive interface with which I can have all the tools at hand, its autocomplete is extremely good, it offers me a suggestion and it helps me write my code faster. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Syntax errors only appear until you save the changes made, I also consider it to be a software that requires a computer with enough RAM. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Best and most used Text editor by us(Developers)"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Its black colour theme for code highlighting, also syntax errors on entering wrong syntax.

Also it gives very formatted code using its code for matter plugin.

I generally like its terminal because it give me access to all system commands handy.

You can actually open VS code with super user privileges. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It might cause your laptop to get hanged while using high performing commands like ng --prod build.

Other than performance issue, there also one more disadvantage of vs code, which is sometime even on removing git conflicts it still shows you some kind of syntax error, which kind of bug in it.

You have to close those files and open again, which solves the problem. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Fantasic free product to learn just about anything you want"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

I use Visual Studio code to run my nodejs environment. Even though I and developing on Windows I have a bash term window to issue commands directly from VS Code. If I want to work on other projects its easy to setup that environment easily with unlimited plugins and linters Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It does take awhile to get into the flow of how to do things. I think it took me awhile to figure out how to get a fully working development environment for Node. I am still trying to setup some other environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Excellent programming editor with amazing features"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

Best thing for visual studio code is that it is multi platform like i can use it on windows, mac as well as linux. Its free for everyone inspite of a Microsoft product.

It's one of the most ntelligent and easy to use software with a very organized UI. I can easily configure my git repositories and can access all the commits done on that repositories. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It takes a lot of time to load and compile heavy and bulky projects. Searching withing the whole project is slow. Consumes a lot of Ram.

Otherwise it's a good software for daily use. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Visual Studio Code by Microsoft"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

First thing that impressed me was code highlighting. It's available for every language by default. It also supports emmet which makes writing HTML much much easier. It is feature packed but still free. Has the same features as Sublime and Atom. But, visual studio code is known for it's extensions. There is a extension for anything that visual studio lacks. Itnellisense is pretty great. I find it to be the best among SL3, VS Code and atom. It also supports multiple platform such as linux and windows Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

Nothing much to dislike. It is the best texxt editor in my opinion. The only thing that feels irritating sometimes is RAM Consumption Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
