"Visual Studio Code is Great For Coding"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

What I like the best about Visual Studio Code is that there are so many extensions that you can download so that you can code a lot easier. Visual Studio Code is great for allowing customization and accessibility. There are a ton of extensions to use for making work easy. I also love that you can code virtually with it. During the pandemic that is an extremely useful feature. I like that there is an integrated terminal that I can use to execute my code faster and easier. I also like that it will tell you when you are missing tags in HTML. Visual Studio Code is easier to use and I get my work done quicker. It is great for front-end and back-end development. VSCode makes writing code of all sorts much easier and doesn't get in your way. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

While the extensions are useful there are sometimes too many to keep up with. Sometimes it gets confusing and sometimes if you download the wrong one all of your code can get messed up. The extensions also don't work sometimes. I do a lot of HTML/CSS work and it would be nice for me to just preview it inside of Visual Studio Code and although I do have that extension it doesn't work on my computer. I would also love to be able to create folders inside of Visual Studio Code without having to make the folders on my computer first. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Ah man!What a product!Works like a charm"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

It's one of the best code editors out there for windows. Being an early age developer, I loved to work on Unix subsystems as the coding environment is best there. But then, someone recommended me to shift to Windows with Visual Studio Code environment which works best for Web Development as well as Competitive Coding environment, and voila! It works amazing. Trust me here, it provides better text editor as well as easy and fast compiling of code and output in the same window. Its so much improved and fast that one can rarely point out any bugs. I realize the fonts available for coding are quite well and one feels like coding in such Editor. Unlike other editors, it promotes easy sharing, storing as well as manipulating code that it has become my favourite in such a short span of time. I am really looking forward to work more and improve my coding skills Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

I rarely dislike anything in such good environments, but still here are some cons:

1) If you have a laptop with small RAM, No SDD, Old generation, then sorry man! This product will hang like anything and so, you can't efficiently code in Windows, you are bound to shift to Unix

2) It comes with many unnecessary packages which are optional on small scale, occupying storage for no good reason Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

"Using different languages together"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

This tool is the complete set of minor functions that doesn't require any more verification or optimization. It offers a wide range of languages to be coded side by side to each other, it has an editor to code any language with optimisation and effectiveness. This tool holds a wide range of small functions that helps to offers different functioning at different levels. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

If we look at the depth of the usage of visual studio code than we find that it enhances a problem of code inefficiency at large scale, while code goes beyond 2000 lines a page it cause some handling issues and execution delays. Apart of this it also occurs termination of output terminal at times while executing the long codes. It does offers a wide variety of languages but upto a extent where no visualization is required. "Simple yet Powerful"
What do you like best about Visual Studio Code?

The interface is simple to use, but the extensions make it extremely powerful as well. There's setting sync, inbuilt debugging and tons of themes and other features anyone could ever want. It's high customization lets everyone fine-tune it to their liking, and the defaults are great as well. The plethora of extensions such as Docker and MongoDB provide for an integrated experience that is quite unique. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Visual Studio Code?

It used to be extremely lightweight, which was the main selling point, but recently the team has been working to add tons of features which has made it feel bloated. The editor could use a much better settings page in my opinion. The current settings feels like a huge wall of text and is quite difficult to navigate through. There needs to be better support for Microsoft's own languages such as Fsharp, the current support via Ionide is sub-par. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
