I guess the team was very nice and tried its best, but I feel sorry for them having to deal with such a clunky product. **What do you dislike about Vena?** After a nine month implementation, we ultimately decided to stop the process after spending countless hours on it. Vena’s models are extremely rigid and couldn’t accommodate our needs and requirements. Instead, they asked us to lower our expectations because the product simply couldn’t deliver. On top of that, they failed to integrate with our ERP, despite claiming that "dozens of users are already using it." I’m furious about the time and money we wasted on this failed process, not to mention an entire year that was completely lost. **What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?** As we didn’t complete the implementation and stopped it midway, I’m unable to answer this question. ### 3. Everything in Vena takes a lot of time to set up and do. Customer Service is great and very responsive so I am going to give them this. The product is awful. **What do you dislike about Vena?** I am not sure where to start with what I dislike about the platofrm but I almost want to say everything. Vena is designed from the ground up to be a complicated platform. Dont expect the platform to be intuitaive or you can do anything on your own from the first time. It is a steep, a really steep learning curve. If you are an experianced Vena user, it takes you anywhere between 30 min for easy reports to a few days to set up a report, FPA model or budget. Since Vena is based on Excel, you will inhernent all the limitations of Excel with it. The integration they claim is really a data connector to your ERP. It's a 180 (one way ) degree integration, you can't push back the budget to your ERP. They don't integrate with any payroll providers, so all updates are manually done. The dashboard they claim to have is basically is power bi embedded into Vena. You have to know how to write DAX formulas to really do anything with it. During the sale or demo, they're going to make it seem very easy to do anything. Just ask them to set up a report in front of you from the start or ask them to deactivate the flags to uncover the complicated set up. My recemndation is that you stay away, go with a web based platform. In the end, we only implemented a fraction of what we originally planned. **What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of our main challenges before implementing Vena was the lack of a single source of truth and the long hours spent consolidating data and managing the entire budgeting process, which was a big hassle for our team.
