## Vena Reviews
  ### 1. There was a bigger learning curve than I was expecting but the training recordings are great!

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Lynn S. | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 08, 2023

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Vena has grown and enhanced their product quite a bit from our initial implementation many years ago. I really like their learning webinars and training recordings. The lessons are divided into smaller chunks of time, focusing on a specific process or function, which allows our team to view and complete a recording in one sitting - including the quiz at the end.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Creating reports with many conditions related to your members gets quite complicated. We have needed help from Vena to create new attributes and jobs used on many of our reports.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Financial reports are consistent and the program doesn't crash. We are able to complete our budget process within Vena and are now transitioning to Forecasting.

  ### 2. I am an entry level business intelligence analyst at a large company.

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Retail | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2023

**What do you like best about Vena?**

The way it connects data contributors, analysts, and data consumers so there is only one source of truth to maintain. So far it has been very easy to get non-technical employees comfortable enough with Vena to use it effectively as a contributor.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

I have some frustrations with the limits of Vena as it is used in Excel. For example, if contributors filter or sort tables in input forms it often causes issues with the dimensions mappings.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Consolidating individually upkept data sources into single sources of truth, which multiple users are able to contribute to. The helps to avoid cases of out of date data being used.

  ### 3. Very Reliable Vena

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jennifer K. | C, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Vena's scalability has tremendously helped our team reduce the amount of time it takes to do month-end reporting. Also, as our business has grown, we have had no issues keeping up with the change in reporting. Vena has been a very reliable tool in helping us with forecasting and reporting.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

One of the downsides to Vena would be cost.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Before Vena, the analysts would have to spend so much time combining data in excel, that there was no time for analysis. Thanks to Vena, we now have time to look at the numbers before they are finalized!

  ### 4. Significant time and effort savings each year - budgeting and financial analysis

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** November 10, 2021

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Once the program language is configured, the system automatically draws information from our G/L to prepare our budgets, updates, what-if scenarios, financial analysis, and month-end financials in fractions of the time and effort.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Some level of expertise is required to prepare the coding to add new functionality...but this is offset by the quality and experience of our VENA consultants.

**Recommendations to others considering Vena:**

Vena is a great FP&A Software for a reasonable cost considering the time and effort saving.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We can prepare our annual budgets in a fraction of the time, involve the budget users in analysis and preparation, provide different scenarios, and quickly update to include and compare actuals to budget. Our month ends used to take a week once we compiled the information and now takes an hour or two! Also, Vena allows our budget users to quickly analyze and provide financial analysis of variances.

  ### 5. Strong financial reporting structure

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Construction | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Vena has great ways to connect and link your business' data, allowing you to logically build out reports and views of whatever statements your business will require.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Sometimes the structure of Excel can create challenges or delays because it is possible to overload the abilities of the Excel but the comfort of a system everyone is already familiar with outweighs the challenges.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vena is being used for Consolidated company financial statements, divisional and locational financial statements, budgeting and forecasting. It is primarily in the control of the accounting departments but sales and operations all have reports designed and suited to their financial reporting needs. This keeps everyone in the same platform and viewing the same data without having to create their reports or rely on inaccurate information.

  ### 6. Great Versatile Product

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Judy D. | Senior Accountant of GL, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 10, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

It is easy and quick to send reports out to the end users. It automates the next period for all reports - don't have to go in the reports to make the change and save.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Sometimes want bottom level but then need iChildren

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Getting reports out quicker to the end users.

  ### 7. My experience with the Vena

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** kago g. | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 23, 2023

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Vena is faster in service delivery. This tool computes information within minutes, and you can process several financial data. Nevertheless, the software has user-friendly interphase.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Vena is expensive to run and maintain. This tool requires regular updates that can be costly to some upcoming companies. Nevertheless, the software is worth the cost.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vena has helped in budgeting forecasting, which improves the company's performance. This enhances sales planning and management, improving business performance.

  ### 8. VENA, Very Easily Never-not Awesome (Double Negative, so It's Positive)

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** October 21, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

The time savings are the most significant benefit we have seen in our team. Vena's automation for workforce planning, inputting actual financial data, and linking all of our data sources together has been extremely valuable.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

I do not personally see any significant downsides to Vena, but I would like to be able to assign non-financial data to department-specific reports. I do not doubt that the Vena team will continue to add what we request, and most likely, this will be an option soon.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Time waste has been the main problem we have solved by using Vena. I would estimate we can save at least an hour a day on average, which has led to much more efficient time use for the main focuses of the leadership team.

  ### 9. Vena User Perspective

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Wholesale | Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

From my experience, Vena has been an excellent tool for FP&A and automation of existing working papers for my company.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

So far, I don't see any downsides to using Vena. We will be in touch if there are any.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We are solving financial reporting and analysis needs with the usage of Vena. It will replace our existing processes to save us time and money.

  ### 10. Vena has been good so far, a bit challenging at times since I am a new user but it has been good.

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Virgilio V. | Senior Financial Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

I really enjoy the different tools and things you can do within Vena! It gives me the tools to work on my daily tasks. We currently have someone on the Vena team who meets with us weekly and answers any questions we may have. Vena has many different tools that you can use to improve your work. It helps our team have everything in order in one place. The support team usually gets back to us quickly and can out any problems we may face. Overall the experience with Vena has been good.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Some of the downsides of Vena are how slow it makes my computer and some templates take a long time loading. We often have to wait about 2-3 minutes for a template to finish loading. Sometimes since the templates are so big we really can not have many different files opened. We have to pick what files we need and prioritize in a way so our computer does not crash and run into any slowdowns. At first, our learning sessions were hard to keep up with since everything was online but we were able to make the best out of it.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vena's support has been helpful by helping me adjust certain templates to our needs. With the person assigned to our team from Vena, we can receive all the help we need in. We meet about once or twice with our designated person from Vena and we can solve any issues we may have. I recently had a problem where my files were freezing so I reached out to the support team and they were able to help me out. The support team was able to go through my add-ins and verify that everything was in the correct settings for me. Once the support team verified that everything was in place I was able to continue with my work.

  ### 11. Vena has so many possibilities

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Environmental Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 18, 2023

**What do you like best about Vena?**

If you are excel saavy you can create a lot of reporting without using a consultant.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

There is still a learning curve on how the database works and there are limitations on how you can connect some data.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vena gives the team insight into how our projects are performing financially as well as utilization metrics for the project managers.

  ### 12. FP&A Analyst

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Transportation/Trucking/Railroad | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 13, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

The fact that the end user view is in excel is much more potent than using excel itself or Power BI. It is also much faster and works both ways, data can be downloaded from Vena, and then new data can be uploaded.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Not a bad thing per se; however, while Vena is quite user-friendly, there can be quite a steep learning curve if you want to do more complex task calculation. There is excellent documentation available and the consultants are very helpful.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

When dealing with large data sets, excel can be pretty slow and prone to crashes; while Power BI is much faster, it also adds steps and manipulation and limits automation. Vena helps with both those problems.

  ### 13. Great robust and comprehensive fp&a software

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Building Materials | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2023

  ### 20. One of the best decisions we've ever made

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Noris P. | ERP Systems Architect, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

There is a bunch to like with Vena, but I think the biggest selling point is that the end interface is something that everyone is familiar with: Microsoft Excel. Partnering with a tool that has been the industry standard for budgeting for years was an excellent move, and one we enjoy dearly. Besides that, it is very easy to ramp up your learning on the platform, implementation can be completed in under a week, and they have an excellent source of consultants and internal success managers that will make sure that you succeed in your journey. We started with a Financial data model but have also moved our revenue forecasting into its own cube that can easily communicate with the other to pull in Budget, Actual, and Reforecast data seamlessly. If anyone is on the fence about taking the leap, feel free to find me on LinkedIn and I will run you through my experience.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

The few issues we've had over the years were resolved within a day or so, so there is not much to dislike. They listen to their customers and you can actually see your suggestions get baked into future releases, which is exactly what you want for in an ISV.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have streamlined our budgeting process, and it comes preloaded with automated emails that go out along the process, smart dates for due dates, auditing, approvals/rejections. It should be the de facto solution for anyone that is currently struggling with their yearly budgeting and then periodic reforecasting cycles. We have also integrated our revenue forecast data into Vena, and we plan on actually exporting a portion out into R, run it through a model and then sync it back into Vena for our more variable usage components to get closer to a 99% CI. Within the next year we also plan to integrate our HRS into Vena so that we can establish a place for our HCM to be done in a more seamless fashion.

  ### 21. Versatile and valuable to our team

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** July 07, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Vena has proven to be very useful for my team when it comes to consolidating our financial statements, especially during our forecast and budget cycles. Now we are able to view our financial results in real time and don't have to deal with linking multiple spreadsheets together to view our company from a consolidated perspective. Having built-in reports that are specific to our board report has been a dream since we only need to select the specific parameters and we are able to paste the reports right into our file. Having reports where we can select different parameters has been very useful if we want to have comparatives of prior periods (compared to opening manual excel files from prior years or prior forecast cycles). Vena has helped improve our workflow and efficiencies since everything in on the cloud and we don't have to worry about connecting to our network to retrieve reports.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

The initial setup with Vena was cumbersome and challenging. As the SME in Vena for out team, there was learning curve associated with setting up our database correctly. However, now that we have been up and running for a few years, the growing pain is no longer.

**Recommendations to others considering Vena:**

It's worth trying because it saves time when preparing consolidations

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Currently I have no problems that Vena is trying to solve. However, a tip that I think would be useful is to make the data extract more user-friendly. Instead of writing MQL codes, I would like to see the option of selecting specific parameters so that I don't have to look what what MQL code to run each time.

  ### 22. Vena's product is easy to use, and staff have good customer services.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Phyllis C. | Sr Management Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** August 24, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

After project managers enter data in the Vena, we can download the report and review it.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Vena should have an annual conference for customers to attend.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our OH calculations are complicated. I was new to it. So I called Vena for help. Their staff called me back immediately and answered my questions. My heartburn got released.

  ### 23. Great FP&A solution

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Financial Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** April 26, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Vena allows for automation of all of the day-to-day reporting, budgeting and forecasting processes - freeing the FP&A team up to focus on more value-added projects and/or analysis. The training provided to get users up to speed is also very good.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

There is a learning curve when first implementing Vena which needs to be overcome by the intended users. There is free training provided on the platform, which is appreciated and definitely cuts the learning curve, but without someone in the organization with prior experience, it could be difficult to implement.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vena is helping us to automate our budgeting and forecasting processes. This adds a lot of long-term benefits to the company, given that the FP&A team can focus on more value-added analysis and work. It should also be noted that Vena helps in terms of standardization and reduction of human error, meaning a more accurate, as well as efficient budget and forecasting process.

  ### 24. Vena delivered on their promises

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Joe M. | VP Finance, Corporate Controller, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

The best part of Vena is the ease of use. Utilizing Excel increases the buy-in from stakeholders and allows for a seamless transition from old reports/template to new reports/templates.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

There is very little that I dislike about Vena. My only "complaint" would be related to some of the functionality around the Powe BI data connector.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We utilize Vena to do our monthly sales forecasting and pricing process. The process developed utilizing Vena allowed us to stay out in front of the inflationary pressures and give us the ability to track/forecast inflation impacts at the customer/item level and make appropriate changes to mitigate the impact.

  ### 25. Vena's power is worth the effort

**Rating:** 4.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Computer Software | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Vena's excel front-end interface allows quick and easy customization of user templates. The excel tools also allow for quick creation (e.g. mapping data points, easy to understand warning messages). Additionally, Vena's powerful security/permissions features and task management system provide a safe and secure way to incorporate many users into the finance processes. This is a crucial step for allowing operations to buy in to the process and create a more trusted finance function.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Vena can be daunting/difficult to implement. Additionally, the knowledge base articles can be too high level on technical components. This can make it frustrating to understand the technical issues unless you have previous experience with the topics.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

The problems we are solving with Vena are:
- Increased awareness of costs across the company and how to improve results
- Faster forecasting and more collaboration with operations
- Faster reporting

  ### 26. All of Your P&L in one place.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Tom C. | Network Continuous Improvement Manager, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** February 03, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

I review P&L for 6 different sites each month and Vena makes it easy to switch in between the P&L's for all of those sites in one place. Before we migrated to Vena, I had to manage about 10 different Excel files for all of the different business units in the 6 sites that I manage. Vena eliminated all of that.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

In the 6 months that we have been using Vena, I have not found anything that I dislike. At first using the interface was a little cumbersome, but once I got the proper add-in for Excel and watched a couple of training videos on their website, I have had no issues navigating to the different reports I look at every month.

**Recommendations to others considering Vena:**

This will make your monthly P&L review for the sites or business units you manage much easier. It is so convenient having only one area to go to see all of your reports as opposed to hoping you are going to the right subfolder and selecting the right Excel file.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using Vena, I have been able to eliminate using about 10 different Excel files for my monthly P&L. I have further been able to eliminate an additional 5 Excel files that housed all of the corporate roll-up information. We also have eliminated the need to store and manage all of the Excel files that we used to when we were using Excel exclusively to compile all of our monthly P&L, Income Statements, and G&L account information.

  ### 27. Corporate Controller

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Cher H. | Corporate Controller, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** June 29, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Ability to consolidate multiple ledgers.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Our team hasn't found anything that we dislike with the sytem.

**Recommendations to others considering Vena:**

Our company consolidated multiple ledgers with different chart of account structures for years. This process took weeks each quarter. Now with Vena, we can consolidate and send out compliance reporting in less than a day.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Decreased our time to consolidate multiple ledgers for month-end reporting by 25%. Reduced manual touchpoints to increase accuracy in reporting.

  ### 28. Indepth Reporting and Planning in a tool you already use.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Steve V. | Senior Manager - Financial Planning and Analysis, Small-Business (50 or fewer emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 09, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Support is very timely. Most tools we purchase as a mid-size company are not quick to respond but Vena is very supportive of us and our deadlines.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

No major complaints so far. Excited to be part of the =Sum It conference and learn form others who are invested in the program.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Labor/Headcount planning was streamlined through Vena. We previously did this as a manual process with many business sectors. This was the first time we pulled the group together and did full top down and bottom up headcount planning organization wide!

  ### 29. Love working on vena.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Vee P. | Systems specialist, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 14, 2021

**What do you like best about Vena?**

I like that vena is compatible with Excel. especially for users who are already familiar with excel and its functions, it is easier to understand. I lik ethe vena toolbar, which has all the necessary functions available right there. The ability to slice data to get the level of details you need is the best part of working with vena. You do not need to know coding to write lengthy codes like sql to extract the data. It can easily be done by mapping level of members you need the data for. Absolutely love the attributes feature, very useful to organize the data. Love that we can integrate with other software, easy to import data export data

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

I wish there were more flexibility to bring data while using the expressions in dynamic mappings, like being able to get all bottom level members of the parent and attribute intersection.
Often the time to load a template or report is longer than expected. For a bigger report, it takes about 20 minutes to load the report. It would be great if we can somehow get that faster.
While working in the modeler tab, creating new members or updating members, multiple updates cannot be made. We have to wait for one update to be made before trying for another and sometimes we get error. It is time consuming to make multiple updates in the Hierarchy.

**Recommendations to others considering Vena:**

It is worth a try. Please reach out to the vena team and see how the team can help make your day to day work easier

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I help with creating new reports for all levels of users. FP&A staff, VP of Finane and Executives require different details and I love the ability for users to select the level of details they need.
I add users and their permissions, as we have many regions we work with and it is easy to maintain everything using vena.
Integration between the different platforms we use is very helpful as well

User friend and powerful tool. Doesn't take much training time to become a basic user.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Attention to detail matters - one mistake can cause a big error in data.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vena allows me to build out a reader-friendly report with flexibility.

  ### 31. Vena Review

**Rating:** 3.5/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** K S. | HR Ops, Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** December 17, 2021

**What do you like best about Vena?**

When configured correctly, it is an extremely powerful tool. You have to take great care in identifying what you would like it to do for you and how you would like to scale.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Maintenance of the system can be a bear, especially if you were not part of the design and build. You may sometimes find yourself going down the rabbit hold trying to diagnose problems.

**Recommendations to others considering Vena:**

Plan, plan, design, then plan some more. Familiarize yourself with the system as much as you can during design and implementation. You'll never stop learning which is a good thing.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been able to project and track budgets and forecasts throughout the year and into the future. It has allowed us to also calculate bonuses which was previously done offline due to complexity.

  ### 32. Vena saves time and increases accuracy/buy in

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Jay E. | Financial Analyst, Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Vena saves time and increases the accuracy of your forecasting process. It's easy to implement, increases the ownership of data and makes light work of complex processes.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

There's really not much to dislike. It's easily the best budgeting software I've used in my career.

**Recommendations to others considering Vena:**

The use of excel in Vena makes the buy-in and uptake from the organization a little easier.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We had a 12 spreadsheet linked forecast process which was linked throughout and after mapping it, looked like a spider web. It took hours to up keep, actually forecast, and ensure the accuracy.

  ### 33. Detail oriented product with good people behind with proven strong user adoption.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Information Technology and Services | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** March 29, 2019

**What do you like best about Vena?**

I like that the tool allows me a broad spectrum of data to model and then map in Excel, this empowers our end users in the field on an interface most are familiar with. Another feature I find extremely helpful is the workflow structure. It allows our company the freedom to design multiple different workflow patterns to fit different necessities in departments.

I also like the willingness of support staff to step in and educate users (very polite and intelligent). The associates will do their best to solve your issue, provide insight and advice on best practices, and provide you with resources for documentation.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

I would like to see an automatic scheduled refresh into our sandbox environment so that we could have current data while testing new enhancements for our production environment. We have also expressed this to our Vena Client Manager who then communicated our request to the Product Manager.

**Recommendations to others considering Vena:**

We used the Vena Services Team during our implementation. Being honest with your consultant about current system frustrations and future goals for Vena use is key to your consultant providing you with an organized framework of the application.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have implemented an official workflow into our budgeting process, simplifying how the entire company inputs, approves, uploads, and distributes our budgets. We are able to forecast for potential acquisitions and quickly share the data with key personnel in different areas of the country. Another benefit is also that we have centralized many sources of truth for our database, organizing many processes that run in and out of Vena daily.

  ### 34. Year new to Vena, build a plane while flying it.

**Rating:** 5.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Commercial Real Estate | Enterprise (> 1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 12, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

We started training and implementing Vena during a budget process. This was truly taking this on at a full sprint. The support available made it much easier to integrate into our process without driving us to burnout, long work days, and extended processing times.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

There is so much Vena offers and an understanding of what is available beyond our primary reason for running Vena.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

This is helping automate our month-end processing and has dramatically quickened the process. In addition, the process has a lot fewer errors to work through.

  ### 35. Consolidation Dream

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed by:** Verified User in Consumer Goods | Mid-Market (51-1000 emp.)

**Reviewed Date:** May 11, 2022

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Finance-owned hierarchies. In addition the ability to consolidate across many systems/data sources into one source of truth. Prior to this, everything was offline and prone to errors.

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

Currently limited direct API connections with ERP's, so getting data in can be a bit manual. We are still slow in getting users to adopt broadly and still have to offline some things.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We've had problems with adoption, and some miscellaneous compatibility issues as we moved to 365. But consolidation and reporting have become instantaneous now.

  ### 36. Streamlines and simplifies the budgeting process

**Rating:** 4.0/5.0 stars

**Reviewed Date:** June 16, 2021

**What do you like best about Vena?**

Excel based and user-friendly, removes the need for manual consolidation, provides workflow management and tracking, flexible

**What do you dislike about Vena?**

The use of multiple files is sometimes necessary to prevent file sizes from becoming too large, but this might require a cultural shift.

**What problems is Vena solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Vena creates a centralized database for budgeting while still utilizing Excel. The centralized database removes the need for manual consolidation of multiple files. Once end-users enter and save data, reports need a simple refresh to reflect the changes.
