Management of the files has always been a challenge with ThoughtFarmer, especially editing a file that resides on the Intranet via the desktop connector. It's not really geared for document collaboration and co-authoring. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The Customer Support whether you have a simple question or are facing an issue will always get back to you in a very timely manner, and ensure your needs are taken care of. I've always gotten an answer within 12 hours or so, and they've always been dedicated to resolve your needs in a timely manner. They're also up-to-date with their ticketing system and have the proper tools to remote in and troubleshoot firsthand if traditional troubleshooting doesn't work.

The interface is very straight forward and pages allow for source code editing and view which brings in a world of customizations that may not be available from just the end-user view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Wish there was more source code access for more elements of the website. For example, the product has widgets they call Cards and there are prebuilt in cards that are available, however, you can't easily access the coding or manipulate the card's coding. So if there's system wide changes you'd like to implement, it's limited beyond basic configuration.

Thought Farmer has been a great tool for the Travel Alberta team to learn, collaborate and engage with each other. As a communications professional, I have never had an Intranet before that has been so well-used by team members and so intuitive and easy to learn! Love the ease of use and ability to customize sub-pages according to the information used. The on-boarding process was seamless, with the ThoughtFarmer team meeting with groups of staff to help them become experts. Support was then provided as they internal champions worked alongside page administrators such as myself to help answer questions and ensure the product we received was the one we were initially promised. While not perfect, I wouldn't say that I dislike anything at this point. Making minor changes at points can prove challenging, although I wouldn't consider myself to be an expert like on of the Champions within our organization. If I could improve one thing it would be the search functionality within the site, as you can be overwhelmed with search results at points depending on how pointed your search terms are. Our customer support has been fantastic and I enjoy our regular check ins with Hollie Hodge. She stays on top of issues or questions we have and always follows up quickly. The pages are easy to configure and update. You don't need a coding or programming background to do most of what you want to do in the system. Some of the reporting isn't easy to get at. We've had to submit help desk tickets to get get information that's not included in the stats page; last login, for example. Forms are a relatively new feature and do not include the flexibility that is required to be fully useful. The forms need to have the ability to include prescribed workflows (not the user choosing who to assign it to). Clean, straightforward user interface, making it easy to build and maintain your intranet - and people like looking at it! Other intranet providers I found while shopping didn't have the same balance of user-friendliness and functionality (lots of tools like Formflow and integration with Google Drive) to get the most out of your intranet. I also enjoyed the prompt, friendly customer support from the ThoughtFarmer team. TF's website is also packed with guidance for your intranet from the shopping phase, to how to successfully launch it, to day-to-day maintenance! The staff at ThoughtFarmer not only provide you with great training on how to use their very intuitive product, but they walk you by the hand and explain what you can expect in moving from your old intranet to their product. ThoughtFarmer software is simple and intuitive to use with a lot of flexibility for customizations for each organizations' needs. However, what I like the most is the customer engagement aspect in that they understand the software is just a small component of a successful implementation.
