It helped streamline and modernize our intranet. I like that it is customizable and user-friendly. The backend management is good. We were able to sync our Active Directory users, pull in contact cards for the employee directory, and overlay an internal SharePoint site for linking documents. The customization and syncing features were helpful. Also, it links to our internal Microsoft Dashboard, and the setup was easy once our team was on the same page. **What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?** When embedding a document in ThoughtFarmer, the document views are not flexible. They've developed an intranet platform that is incredibly easy to administer and manage. From creating a platform that has helped us organize all of our documents and forms to improving communication across our entire team. **What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?** Forms - It would be helpful to have the ability for a submitter to send a form to a specific person or group of their choosing. Currently, forms can only be routed to a predetermined individual who receives the notification. W hil others can access and view the form, they do not receive any alerts. Additionally, forms must be completed and submitted in one sitting. There is no option to save progress and return later, which can be limiting for more complex or time-consuming submissions. **What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?** ThoughtFarmer is helping to solve a disorganized process of compiling and updating internal forms and documents. We are able to place forms in one spot and link to any additional pages we choose. When updating the form we are able to "replace" the current form and all of the links are updated as well. ThoughtFarmer is also helping with employee communication. We are able to update and notify our employees through ThoughtFarmer News Reels and News Articles. The on-boarding process was seamless, with the ThoughtFarmer team meeting with groups of staff to help them become experts. Support was then provided as they internal champions worked alongside page administrators such as myself to help answer questions and ensure the product we received was the one we were initially promised. **What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?** While not perfect, I wouldn't say that I dislike anything at this point. Making minor changes at points can prove challenging, although I wouldn't consider myself to be an expert like on of the Champions within our organization. If I could improve one thing it would be the search functionality within the site, as you can be overwhelmed with search results at points depending on how pointed your search terms are. **Recommendations to others considering ThoughtFarmer:** As with any new software implementation, don't forget to spend additional time during the implementation process to ensure success. Benefits that were realized include improving the functionality and professionalism of what we refer to as "Connect". Like buttons and the ability to comment has helped our company narrow the divide between Corporate and Branch staff, while also housing these responses for all staff to see. ### 13. You don't need a coding or programming background to do most of what you want to do in the system. It's also accessible from mobile devices, which was a must for us since we have people out in the field away from desks and computers. **What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?** Some of the reporting isn't easy to get at. We've had to submit help desk tickets to get get information that's not included in the stats page; last login, for example. Also, I wish the form builder functionality offered more functionality. It doesn't meet our needs for all of the approvals or approval flow we need. **What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?** We started using ThoughtFarmer as a different means of communication to cut down on emails being sent, which has happened. However, what I like the most is the customer engagement aspect in that they understand the software is just a small component of a successful implementation. They are able to bring in a team to ensure the business processes are sound, such as proper governance, retention, authority for updates, etc. **What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?** Home page customizations are not as granular as we would like and at the time of our implement, they did not have an in-house solution for automated workflow and electronic forms / signatures. However with their latest release, that may have changed. **What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?** One of our sections was in desperate need of a good social-based knowledge management platform to share information in a variety of disparate formats. Previously, the section would store the information in a wide range of places including sharepoint, file systems, emails, etc. Now they have a central location that accommodates all their needs. Searching is great, the use of tags is really beneficial **What do you dislike about ThoughtFarmer?** the formatting of the pages can be a bit of a nightmare, you aren't allowed to copy and paste easily. The embedding with google can make things easier BUT it can be difficult to get the coding correct so that it fits in the page the way you need it. Adding pictures could be much easier than the format that's currently in use **Recommendations to others considering ThoughtFarmer:** worth it for international communication, ease of formatting needs help but once you understand it, it does make it easier to work with **What problems is ThoughtFarmer solving and how is that benefiting you?** communication with international team is a HUGE benefit ## ThoughtFarmer Discussions -
