Slido is incredibly quick and easy to embed into presentation software (I used MS PowerPoint). Easy to set up the engagement questions. The training participants found it quick and easy to access the initial engagement question (QR code or numerical code) and there was no need to log in every time - the new question just appeared! Engagement in the training was much higher than normal, there was a real buzz amongst the participants and answers were more honest than if they had been asked to speak or show hands. The option of seeing the live data (as it comes in) or the presenter withholding it until all participants had answered (so people could put their own thoughts and not follow the crowd was great) . A couple of questions I did not display the answers at all - so participants could be really honest. Following the training, the data was easily accessible and clear - and can even be directly exported to use in reports / further presentations. Two weeks after the training, staff are still talking about how engaging it was! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Not really a downside of Slido but I think that there is a need to consider (a) how often you use it with the same training group and (b) how to write good questions to get the most meaningful data! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
One thing we cannot avoid to say that long meetings become boring and worst , there comes the amazing slido , its live polling and Q&A features are the game changers. Once i hosted a large webinar with over 500 attendees , throughout the webinar i ran multiple polls to gather audience opinions , slido kept the whole meeting event enagaging , interactive and enjjoyable. It also helped me to gave me valuable feedback in real-time . Slido is perfect for large scale webinars or virtual conferences. Also the user fiendly interface provides easy access to the platform. The free version of slido is limited in features so it could be a barrier for small business or organizations other than all the features that it provides are amazing Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
What a great little tool. It's always challenging to make presentations engaging and the Slido integration with Google Slides makes it super easy. I use it to run quizzes on the content I cover in monthly meetings I run with our sales teams and they absolutely love it. Very seamless and had lots of other folks asking me about it after seeing it because they wanted to use it in their presentations too. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Had some hiccups the first few times regarding the extension - if you create a presentation with Slido on your device with the extension installed, but the person who will be sharing their screen doesn't, then it won't work. Common issue with in person events where one computer is plugged in and screen sharing - so be aware of this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Ease of use. Headed to a meeting two hours away, we learned that our presentation would be done virtually. The original plan was to poll the audience by traditional means. In the car, we were able to create a Slido account and build a few questions that we intended to ask the group. It easily synced into our Google Slides presentation.
The presentation went great. Had a lot of participation and no one knew we just figured this out walking into the meeting. Would highly recommend for simple polling questions to virtual audiences. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Like all apps, you are limited in the abilities of the free version. If we continue to use the app, we will most likely spring for the paid version. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slido has a clean UI that makes it easy to navigate and set up. To give you an idea, at our most recent event we set up one of our engagement checks just 15 minutes before the start of the event, and it only took a couple of minutes to do so! There are a lot of different engagement apps to choose from, so I can set up multiple activities for the same event all within Slido! There are also a lot of customization options to make our engagement activities look visually appealing or fun. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
The number of participants for the free plan is capped at 100. Sharing QR codes is also a little annoying, as the only option is to download it as an image rather than share it in a link. Slido lets you set start and end days for the engagement activities, but it would be easier if it let us pick specific start and end times as well. Sometimes we want to stop/turn off our activity after a couple of minutes rather than manually start and stop it. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We have been using Slido for many years for our virtual and hybrid events and we have never been disappointed. Not only is the SaaS always stable, but new and useful features and integrations are added weekly. But in our eyes, the absolutely most important point that sets Slido apart from the competition is the extraordinarily professional and fast support. Above all, when we need a few adjustments at short notice that are a bit out of the ordinary, we not only get a contact person within a short time, but also a solution that has often been implemented by developers. Really great, many thanks for that! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
To be honest, there are no real weak points from our point of view. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
We used the Slido QR code to invite questions from audience participants at a recent workshop during the Question and Answer period. We had 30 in person and 20 online, and offering the QR code enabled us to provide equal access to posing questions and comments to both Zoom participants and those in the room.
This also helped me curate the questions I could pose to the workshop leader so we weren't privileging just the participant in the room who could ask questions on the mic. It really streamlined the process for us and was easy to set up and use.
Afterwards, Slido also sent me the data of how many users asked questions, so I can include that in my written evaluation of the event in terms of audience engagement percentage.
We only used the free account, but I may upgrade to a paid account so in the future, participants only see which questions are getting asked of the workshop leader.
Great tool! Will recommend to others in my organization. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
In the free account, I didn't like how participants could see all the comments/questions, but that can be alleviated by upgrading to a paid account which I plan to do for future events. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Let's face it....meetings at the end of the work day are the worst. It takes a special effort to make them bearable and sometimes inspiration to do that just isn't there. Thank goodness for Slido. I found it a couple days before I was hosting a faculty meeting in a middle school (as a middle school teacher I can tell you there is no tougher audience) and it was a game changer. I used all 3 free polls and the "ooohs" and "ahhhs" as results developed on the big screen were a first. Minds were opened to my message when the responses from colleagues were projected in such a unique way (the word cloud results were specially startling to the audience).
Slido was easy--I always tell people that if I, a baby boomer, can do it, anyone can! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I can see no downsides to slide except that I'm a public school employee on a limited budget. I wish there was an edu version for less (or free) that had more options. But this is no refelction on Slido. I love this tool and will use it as long as it is free. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I use Slido during presentations to frame the next topic I want people to think about. I'll use a poll or a q&a for a situation familiar to everyone and then move on to my point about the complex situation I want the group to support. It's a great way to maintain interest and get the group thinking about how to transfer their knowledge of a common subject to the more challenging issue. The app is really user-friendly and can easily be implemented into a presentation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Would like a little more freedom in how the polls look. For example, a fifth option may extend a bit below the screen. Ability to adjust font size so everything fits would be great. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Slido is simple to use, interactive, and able to integrate with other software. It really helps to make meetings more interactive and engaging! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
I think you should create an integration feature with Miro. I used embedded code to add the Slido poll to Miro, but it could be better. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
