As a Content Marketing Specialist, I rely on SEO tools like SEMrush, Ahref and SE ranking for my work. I am always alternating between these tools because they have some distinct functions. For example, I use SEMrush for competitor analysis, Ahrefs for quality backlinks, and I use SE Ranking for keyword research and AI result tracking. Since we now have an AI overview on Google search results, it is important that I track it. There was a time I was working on a project for a client, and he asked me why his page was not getting clicks even though it ranked well. I was a bit disappointed about how limited some AI insights still feel. The AI tracking is useful, but I would still like clearer explanations and recommendations about what action i should take next. Sometimes I see the data but i still have to figure out the meaning on my own. Also the backlink data still feels smaller compared to Ahref and SEMrush. In some cases, I noticed backlinks in other tools like AHref that did not show up in SE Ranking yet. For serious link-building campaigns, this can be frustrating. SE Ranking provides an extremely useful dashboard which gives me an exact idea of how my SEO campaigns are going. This is very important for a solopreneur like me to save time to check every campaign I have. SE Ranking also keeps adding fantastic tools to help with my daily tasks. The only disadvantage of SE Ranking is the tool is 100% built for SEO. I also run Google Ads and Facebook campaigns for clients and it is a bit painful to create paid channel reports separately. I've experimented with other tools like AHREF, Moz and SemRush but I've found SE Ranking to be the most intuitive to use. I'm new to this level of SEO-ing but whenever I've had questions, support has been quick to respond with clear answers. It's a little bit addicting to see changes to rankings and create competitor profiles. I also really like the keyword research tool and the advanced filters for intent and search features. Some of the navigation can be a little bit layered and confusing (what project am I in?), I'm not really sold on the content marketing parts and the AI writer. The suggestions are okay - but I'm not sure they aren't leaning toward overoptimizing in a generic kind of way... I need to experiment with it more though. Every time a feature is added, it just simply adds value and rounds out the campaign management, adding additional aspects to what we can improve and the way we report to clients, producing a much fuller picture. There's this one glitch in SE Ranking that I find really irritating. It's something that should be easy to fix, but every time I've asked for help, I'm told it's not a priority. I used AWR before, and when I arranged filters or set a view, it stayed that way. But with SE Ranking, it resets every time. So now, every time I open an account, I have to manually set up everything again, and I do this dozens of times daily. I really hope someone fixes this soon.
