What do you like best about Sapling?

Sapling is easy to use and is really helpful when first joining an organisation (especially when remote working). It helps get onboarded quickly. As a hybrid worker I found it invaluable. What do you like best about Sapling?

Sapling does a great job of getting new employees up to speed, ensures compliance in following all key set-up steps , and helps remind them to do all necessary steps. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sapling?

Its was honestly really great. Some steps were unnecessary, and sometimes reminders came before steps could even be completed, but I think that had more to do with our specific implementation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sapling?

I appreciate the flexibility of the system to set up the fields and workflows I need to run HR processes and also keep track of and report on HR data. While the differentiation from competitors isn't extreme, I do think saplings flexibility with adding fields and seting up workflows is a huge benefit. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sapling?

The navigation on the back end isn't always the most user friendly. Sometimes I have to click through a few different fields to get to what I want. Also, while they have api's available and you can easily set up API keys- I know from one system in particular (knoetic) that they aren't always open and willing to work with that system to send the data in useable ways. Regarding your comment on the navigation, did you know that Sapling is in the final stages of a fully revamped UI? With beta testing wrapped and last-minute tweaks tweaked, we will start rolling out the new Sapling to everyone over the next few weeks. Our new UI will feature consolidated Navigation with streamlined Dashboards and Tasks to make it easier than ever to get everything done, new and improved Smart Assignment to make onboarding even faster and easier, and a totally new look to make sure the new Sapling is accessible for all with WCAG 2.0 AA certification.

What do you like best about Sapling?

I was able to implement this pretty much on my own over the course of a few days. We didn't have any other system to transition from. In general, the training with the team was bang on and informative. BEST THING... embedded videos ya'll.

I like the simple UI. Integrates easy with Google.

What I think most HR systems miss, is that they are build with the HR person as the user, but here is the thing. EMPLOYEES who can do more, will reduce the impact on HR, which is really solving the problem. The employee experience is incredible, we have all employees participating on all main purposes with no laggards, and that's saying something! Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sapling?

The time off part was a bit more trickier than I would have liked, but the UI is great. Missing functionality is putting people on "leave" with appropriate workflows from there. I'm sure it's coming through.

Wish they had an LMS part of the platform or some Performance stuff, issue with the performance stuff is the out of the box stuff available, rarely fits a company and is hard to develop. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you like best about Sapling?

Automated tasks, re-assigning tasks, reporting, sequencing tasks, customized fields and forms on employees' profiles make it an easy tool to use for onboarding. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Sapling?

There are some things that could definitely be made better. With the workflows, there is no way to easily compare tasks across workflows or delete or assign the same task from/to multiple workflows. We have a lot of workflows set up, and it's difficult to manage. Also, it would be so user friendly if when you're on an employee profile, when you scroll down, it keeps the name and information at the top. I often am looking at an employees profile and, now that we're a few hundred, have to scroll all the way back up to see whose profile I'm on - very annoying. Finally, there are issues in pulling reports - I ask it to pull ALL the individuals in Sapling, and some people don't get pulled even though they're in Sapling.
