**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

I do enjoy the fact that most user that come onto Sapling, become well aware of their tasks needed to be done. Being in a team that requires to be in contact with other teams, this helps even out the tasks required. The email notification does help as well. It does give a better overall experience in terms of coming into our organization.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

I feel as if integration can be better thought out. Tasking seem to be somewhat generic in terms on how they are implemented. Automation could be better. Instead of assigning email to user, instead have them already be categorized in a way that once a user is onboarded in that title/role, everything else is automated.

**Recommendations to others considering Kallidus:**

Use this to its full potential, this will allow for a better workflow for all users and teams. This can be beneficial for anyone trying to use 1 service for multiple things.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

So for us we used to have a ticketing system to track tasks used in offboarding and on boardings users, this had sub tickets (child/parent tickets) but it did create confusion and it was not as seemless. So for using Sapling it does help out in terms of keeping tasks organized and teams knowing what needs to be done. This helps big when it comes to security and compliance, being that tasks must be done with a certain time frame. Overall great product, solution for us. This also having integration with GSuite Calendars, it saves so much time. It allows everyone in the Org to be in sync with what is going on and when. This allows us to not miss many tasks when it comes to users.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

I absolutely love the fact that you can always add tables/items depending on your everyday needs. Also, its surface is very nice and friendly to the eye, giving you immediate access to the tabs you need to go into. I appreciate the fixed and constant updates they are always running. Finally, I use reporting a lot so this has improved a lot since we started working together.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

The system can be a bit slow at times but it hasn't been an issue that I would say alter my experience with sapling. Also, I feel that reporting could be a bit better in terms of adding more items into the mix.

**Recommendations to others considering Kallidus:**

If your company is escalating (and fast) give it a try, it will really help you organize, automate and have all the information on one place - not only for having the information but for other things such as reporting.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Automatization! For example: in the onboarding workflow, I can now add packages of documents that before sapling I had to do it manually to each individual before their first date. Besides, when they added digital signatures from the employee's profile, that definitely helped me save time and become more efficient in other tasks.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

Sapling has an excellent interface and software to make the onboarding process easy to use and quickly accomplish tasks. It just works. I've been onboarded with other products in different companies, but none have been as pleasant to use as Sapling.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

I can't genuinely say that I dislike any part of it, although I would like them to develop functionality that would allow users to fill out forms (e.g. tax forms) on the platform.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We have been using Sapling for onboarding and keeping a directory of the employees and their teams. Having their ticketing system allows us to keep track of and complete tasks efficiently.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

Easiness and SaaS feeling to every step of the process. Minimum paperwork and maximum efficiency. All parties can see the current and remaining tasks. It's often hard to find a solution that can incorporate so many aspects of onboarding in one place. Good value for the service!

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

Growing, but a still limited number of integrations with popular tools. I would like to see more options to incorporate this nice tool in the startup typical flows.

Sapling provides one shop stop experience for the business needs that we would like to outsource and focus on the critical and know-how of our business.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

-Sapling has features that no other HRIS offers, which can help HR teams to efficiently run team processes throughout their employment (called Workflows).
-Onboarding tool is exceptional.
-Flexibility of the system to support international employees where ever they are.
-Integrations with many systems
-All of the other features every other HRIS does: Document management, Time-Off/Leave Tracking, etc.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

SaplingHR has been transitioning into an HRIS for some period of time, there are still parts of the product build out for their original onboarding product.
Some stability issues, getting MUCH better.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Being able to provide a flexible HRIS for all international employees. Our employees are using a system that feels like it is built for them (profiles for all locations).
Ability to manage all HR processes through workflows and track our progress.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

It is a management solution for a human resource which is designed for assisting employees and managing operations of HR. its key features are activity dashboard, employee portal for self-service, payroll integration and personal reporting. Its self-service portal helps employees in completing their onboarding tasks such as completing documents, signing documents and uploading documents electronically. It is allowing recruiters in syncing the documents and details of employees with other systems which includes payroll and accounting.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

It should provide integration with Office 365 and G Suite. Users are facing occasional errors and bugs in it. If you want to edit tasks you have to face delays. It has a lot of confusing menus and features. Sometimes it will not show the accurate numbers of tasks.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

It is offering features for automating workflows such as user will be able to automate repetitive tasks of administration and automatically manages workflows. By using its comment feature or section employees will be able to communicate with each other. It is also offering custom templates of email that are helpful for users in communicating with groups and individuals. It is also offering calendar integration which is facilitating the user in syncing the information and setting alerts and reminders.

Sapling's reporting feature is easy to use. I also love being able to schedule emails and set up workflows. From an employee standpoint, this platform is very user-friendly and easy to navigate.

Org Chart features need to be built out more. Product as whole is very buggy and inconsistent.

I use sapling mostly to find employee information (department, pay, bank info and so on). Its easy that it keeps everythnig in one spot and its easy for the employees to change the info if needed

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

The ability to assign tasks to different users and have unlimited number of tasks. I like that I can set up different assign dates and due dates for each task - it gives our team a lot of flexibility to be able to accommodate our complex workflows and many tasks that go into preparing onboarding for our new hires.

I love that Sapling shows new hire profile information, including their manager and location. This is a super helpful feature for scheduling their onboarding. I also like that employees have an option to add a profile because it allows the hiring team to get to know the new hire more before they start.

Email option is my favorite feature! But I wish we could do more with it. Can you create the function to auto send?

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

Not being able to auto set up emails to send to users on a specified date based on the pre-existing templates. Not being able to assign a different email address as the sender of the automated emails. I really don't like that every time I mark a task as complete, the task page refreshes and it auto reloads the tasks. The delay on this page causes me to accidentally mark off tasks that should not yet be marked off.  I wish there was a way to change the dates of tasks within a workflow based on the employees start date because sometimes we have new hires start off cycle and then their tasks are off from the other new hires.

The UI is not always user friendly

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I'm able to remember all my onboarding tasks that need to be done and remind the team when they have tasks that need to be completed. I am able to set reminders for new hires that are starting that they have tasks to complete, but I wish there was an easier way to be notified when the user does or does not complete the tasks. 

We are able to auto send our onboarding check in emails to new hires which has been a HUGE help so that we save time for our team and the new hire by being able to collect feedback async instead of in a live session.

Sapling helps our company be more efficient with our time and streamline and automate processes, which is an ongoing goal of our company.

I wish it integrated with Culture Amp. That said they evaluate customer needs and requests and have added new integrations to their roadmaps I'm sure this is on their radar

Sapling is a great system that allows us to maintain employee files electronically along with onboarding our employees.  It ties in nicely with all our companies systems

Scheduled email system doesn't always works as we would like it to

Sapling initiates our company email, but for some reason, it also adds the new hires personal email to the company address book along with the company one

Sapling has helped KOHO streamline our onboarding flow to help provide a better experience for our new hires. We have been able to automate tasks that previously were very time consuming. 
I love the ability to integrate with Slack, G Suite, 15Five.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

The ease of use, and the customization make this a fantastic software. It's made onboarding new hires so easy and ensures no steps are missed and that all the needed information is provided to our new hires in one software. The customer service is outstanding and extremely helpful, even thought he software is  super easy to use. I love being able to customize tasks and the emails that correspond to said tasks. The ability to link items in the out going task email takes the work off your plate on sending out documentation and the like.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

There isn't anything I have discovered that I dislike, it has been a major help in streamlining our onboarding process. I would say the one thing I would change is the ability to set reminders for tasks that are past due, if there is this capability I haven't discovered it.

**Recommendations to others considering Kallidus:**

This software is fantastic for onboarding. It keeps all your tasks in one place, allows you to set notifications to different onboarding teammates and ensures accountability. It will really streamline your hiring process and ensure every step in your process is followed.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Using sapling has made onboarding a breeze, it ensures all information is collected from the new hires and also distributes everything from our company handbook to our benefits information and everything in between. Using Sapling has reduced the very mundane and repetitive parts of new hires and onboarding. It has added accountability for tasks and a tracking feature to ensure that nothing is missed for onboarding.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

Preboarding allows our new employees to get a lot of the boring admin work out of the way before they start. We have been able to customize the information we need to collect and has helped streamline the process so they can hit the ground running sooner. Aside from onboarding, we like the ability to issue new policies, collect digital signatures, and store those documents right in the platform. The task feature reminds people to log in and complete the outstanding items.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

While the documents section is a positive feature, we have had issues with the documents loading properly. Often they get stuck in a "preparing" status. I expect that this bug will be addressed, but it causes some back and forth with Sapling and employees until it's resolved.

**Recommendations to others considering Kallidus:**

Sapling is worth the investment to automate onboarding. I would recommend looking at current platforms and ensuring there is integration into Sapling first because that is part of what makes our experience so great.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

New employees, their teams, and supervisors are all organized and prepared with what needs to be accomplished to successfully onboard people. It has automated the process and allowed the HR team to spend more time engaging with the employees on culture and job satisfaction vs completing paperwork.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

I think this platform is great to start your onboarding. It is a very good start point when joining a new company, you can have a glance to your company an also to your immediate team mates, get to know them a bit and have an overview of what comes next. Very user friendly and easy to follow.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

I would like to see an option to explore entire teams. It would be very helpful to get to know better if you you see the entire reporting tree and navigate from one team to another. It would be also very helpful a way to jump from a person to another. Obviously you cannot have all your team available in the right tab so you are forced to search by name one by one. A very difficult thing considering you don't know anybody else in the company so it is complicated to know their name to start looking for them. It would be easier to look for teams and then check the people there.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I was using Sapling as part of my onboarding process in my new company. It was a way to create my profile, introduce myself to the team and also get to know some of the other team mates. It was also my first contact and the way I got to know what would be my new corporate email.

It is a very good tool for start-ups using Google Workstation... however, I recommend reading all the knowledge base articles because the training/support will be very light with information/slow.

What I like best is that I can find all my coleagues in just one platform and for it is very easy to use. I will recommend this platform to my friends in other companies or other countries. I really like it.

I would like it could have more colors or different kind of themes. I would be much better if it would be connected to facebook or any social network.

Interface; ability to upload and easily and safely access personal docs during onboarding, email notifications.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

I often have issues logging in, no matter what device I use. Every other month I have to get my password reset. At least once a week  I have to clear cookies and website data, otherwise I can't log in.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Outside of all things HR related - a great tool for People Ops, IT and Workplace to communicate and stay on track of onboarding/ offboarding, employee info updates, an ability to set up email notifications triggered by certain Sapling "events" or changes to a profile etc.

The way Slick presents the company and sets up your profile. It is quick and to the point. The way it is set up is intuitive which helps with navigation. Having your team show up on the bottom right also is useful so I can navigate the company's structure.

The transitions between pages, it does an animation that while looks cool, I would prefer real-time, split-second changes. I expect the page to take time when I click the main headers, not the subheaders.

As a new hire being onboarded into an entirely remote company, it was great to see the entire org, either displayed through the search functionality, or with the org chart display. I was able to dig into each of the teams and learn a bit more about each person, which helped me get my bearings in one of the largest company's I've worked for.

Because the people list/org chart is one of the best features of Sapling, I wish there was a way to dig into each person's profile when you're in the org chart view. Right now I switch between the tabs and have to search the name after finding them in the org chart view.

Being an entirely remote company, this helps solve not being in an office together. You get to see all the different teams, where each person is located  physically (helps to figure out their timezone!), and you get a chance to learn a little bit about each person if they've filled in their profile.

What I like best about Sapling is the ease and accessibility it provides when onboarding, especially in a remote setting. The navigation is simple and intuitive. It's also nice to be able to see all the tasks that I have, what my team/organization chart looks like, and what documents I have. Being in a remote setting, it isn't always easy to learn or know about my co-workers, so having the accessibility to see what team, location, and role they are is immensely helpful.

I haven't had the most time/experience with Sapling so far, so the only dislikes I have are quite trivial. I'm sure once I spend more time on Sapling, there might be some features/aspects that I will experience that can be improved upon. However, at the moment, I'm not a fan of being logged off every 10 minutes that I'm away from Sapling. While I understand the importance and safety of my account security/privacy, it is tedious having to constantly log back in. In addition, when browsing through various tabs, the loading of each page takes quite a while. Again, very trivial dislikes, but based off my short experience with Sapling so far, those are the only dislikes I have experienced.

The organization of how the onboarding process is handled is quite fantastic (with some caveat). As a person who has gone through onboarding a few times, it can be chaotic, but I appreciate how flexible the process is. I am assuming Sapling allows my company to customize the strategy to our own needs. What I didn't expect, which is lovely, especially in a remote environment, is how it becomes a people directory which allows me to:

1. learn more about my coworkers through cheeky bios,
2. keeps my HR documentation organized and easily accessible, and
3. updates/reminds me when another internal related task is due.

That last one is super important because we can very quickly lose track of tasks outside of our immediate job title.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

During the onboarding process, I wasn't happy that the documentation I uploaded would not hold. What I mean by that is, if I decided to come back to the onboarding process because I was busy, documents would need to be re-uploaded, which can be a big hassle if you're scanning things. I'm assuming it might be a security-related reason, but still annoying. Another nit-picky thing is I don't enjoy the UI too much, its a bit out of date and doesn't perform well when it comes to org-charts (it can be a bit buggy and not great on mobile). I wish that the 'Our History' section was designed better since that's the first touchpoint with the product and looks a bit rushed. Implementing a better CMS tool or stricter modular design would benefit Sapling greatly and really push it to that 10.

Sapling solves the problem of onboarding people in an empathetic, efficient, and organized way. The benefits of using the tool is an easy onboarding with an easy UX (which is great for older folk).

The Sapling user interface makes navigating the portal very easy without much training. Employee records are easy to look up and custom reports are very helpful for tasks like monthly headcount, tracking new hires, and employees by location. Sapling is setup for integrations with several payroll services, which speeds up the process for adding employee information into the payroll system.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

Some issues I have with Sapling are the dashboard reports. They show snapshots of specific aspects of the company's employees, however, they are not interactive. I cannot click into the charts/graphs to drilldown into the details of the information. This feature would be very helpful if we created custom dashboard reports for our company's purposes.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

We created a fully fleshed out HRIS when we upgraded to Sapling. Storing our HR information in one system has been very helpful for pulling employee data. Also, the notification system for assigning employees/admins tasks is very helpful in reminding me what tasks are coming up or still pending. It has streamlined several processes making certain tasks much more efficient.

Sapling is a straightforward and simple tool to use -- it's fairly user friendly and mostly intuitive.  It automates the pain of onboarding new hires which saves you as an HR professional a huge headache.  The tool makes it really easy to set up multiple workflows easily -- we have them for different locations, levels (ie - manager or exec compliance or special info), department needs and onboarding programs (ie - buddy program) to make it very simple to send people globally exactly what they need to hit the ground running. The real beauty is the consistent experience each employee is getting. But the tool also generally keeps people data organized, accurate, and accessible. Pulling reports is easy and its org chart function is helpful.  

As a company, Sapling is small and growing, so they take feedback from customers and implement - sometimes pretty quickly (and sometimes not at all, but still it's great to feel like your feedback is heard).

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

It would be really great if there was improved integration with more tools and systems for ease of overall efficiency for the HR team who administers these accounts (IE - Slack - celebrate/recognize anniversaries and birthdays; Culture Amp - import employees, etc). Also, the pop up template forms for editing tasks, emails, etc  isn't always the easiest to edit and review.

**Recommendations to others considering Kallidus:**

Consider how much you really need this to integrate with other systems. It's great but I am sure there are a lot of great providers. Overall, I am happy and would recommend, but really wish they integrated!

We are a 270 person global start up who use Sapling as the HRIS system. It does everything we need and is generally easy to use for other employees. All in one employee tool to access new hires, sick time, and employee org chart. One of my favorite features of Sapling is the visibility into remaining sick time. Since Rollbar has accrued sick time, it's great that Sapling automatically compounds and deducts the number of sick days for employees when they are and are not in use.

As a general comment, I really like how user friendly and intuitive Sapling is to use as an employee experience platform. As someone who has never used Sapling before, the features are very accessible and easy to use.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

Easier navigation to edit employee titles (during pre-onboarding) and importing docs under profiles. Currently Sapling only accepts docs in .pdf format and not .doc format. I think the platform could be improved by changing the view of outstanding tasks by most recent - oldest tasks. On the admin side, I have a lot of outstanding tasks for new hires and it would be easier to visualize if I could somehow sort the tasks so I can view outstanding tasks for new employees going through pre-onboarding.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like how Sapling integrates with other tools like Lever to convert candidates to employees. Another huge benefit is integrating Sapling with Google Calendar. It's a great resource for me as a Recruiting Coordinator to be able to see if there are upcoming major holidays or employees out because of sickness/pto.

In the future, I would like to see some integration where Sapling/Lever can create and pull over candidate offer letters. This will help streamline the handover process between Recruiting and HR so all the candidate paperwork is in one centralized location. Our current process at Rollbar is very manual when offer letters are signed on DocuSign and then manually downloaded and dropped into each candidate's Sapling.

The task management is great and help streamline administrative tasks for onboarding stakeholders. The new hire experience can be crafted in a way that allows us to show the new employee what it means to be a Dutonian and allow them to get started on employee tasks before day one. I also love it that various teams can house their team-specific onboarding checklists/process in Sapling, allowing their new hires to ramp much smoother than before.

We also moved our offboarding process into Sapling and it has been great, similar to onboarding wins but for owners of processes.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

The integrations with Lever and ADP were/are not what we expected and thus, we are not using the ADP one at all. While this is a back-end issue for admins, it's a significant issue as it added to the manual work of entering new hires into ADP rather than eliminating most of that work, which was one of the reasons we selected Sapling. This is for the ADP cross-border platform, which we had in place prior to implementation, but the integration for that platform had not been ironed out by the vendors.

ADP stated the integration update for the Canada portion of the platform is on a roadmap, with no real timeline for when it would be available. Because of this, we developed a workaround due to the fact that we hire a number of folks in Canada and using an integration for part of the population and manual import (copy and paste into a template) for another set doesn't make sense.

If you're on the standard ADP WFN platform, the integrations should work well.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

Our Helpdesk and Facilities teams are more aligned with the timing of new starts and what equipment is needed. Managers are more in tune with their new hires, while teams overall are able to automate onboarding tasks that were once stored on their team wiki pages.

**What do you like best about Kallidus?**

I like the typography   chosen along with the color palette, since it does not saturate you and allows you to continue being curious, also the minimalist style introduces you to an easy-to-use website and intuitive.

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

that a black mode would have added an additional interface that generates the feeling of modernity and rest to the eyes

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I like sampling because  I can easily find my coworkers and learn more about them, in addition to generating new bonds of friendship with them

Sapling makes it easy to find people across your company, providing you with helpful basic information about them as well as an easy way to reach out to them

**What do you dislike about Kallidus?**

When creating a password "not easily guessable" as a condition isn't particularly helpful. Some more color schemes for the website would also be nice. No significant complaints overall though.

**What problems is Kallidus solving and how is that benefiting you?**

I've realized how nice it is to have a smooth onboarding process with a company. It's straightforward to get in touch with teammates across the company + also introduce myself a bit through my personal profile.
