Nothing about my experience with Waystar warrants a positive recommendation. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
Waystar created a duplicate clearinghouse account under my NPI based solely on authorization from my third-party billing company. They never contacted me — the covered entity and NPI owner — to verify or confirm. I did not authorize it.
When I discovered what happened and demanded forensic audit logs to determine what had occurred with my claims data and patient PHI, they refused. As a HIPAA-covered entity, I have a federal obligation to know who accessed my patients’ protected health information. Their refusal made it impossible for me to meet that obligation.
My practice has been unable to submit electronic claims since January 2026 as a direct result. I am currently in active litigation over this. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
