What I value most about this software is how much it streamlines my day-to-day workflow. I manage a fast-paced operation with a lot of moving parts, so having everything organized and easy to access in one place makes a real difference.

The features I use most often help me stay on top of scheduling, staffing, communication, and daily operations without needing to juggle multiple systems or manually track everything. Being able to make quick changes, pull up the information I need, and see what’s happening in real time saves me a significant amount of time.

One of the biggest benefits has been improved visibility across the entire operation. Rather than making decisions only based on what’s happening in the moment, I can spot issues earlier, make adjustments, and stay ahead of things before they turn into bigger problems.

Overall, this software has made managing a busy team and operation far more organized and efficient. When you’re responsible for a lot of people, schedules, customers, and daily tasks, anything that cuts down on unnecessary administrative work and gives you more time to actually run the business is incredibly valuable. Its easy to navigate, I can easily locate the company policies, my benefits and company directory on the left hand search bar. Being able to punch in as soon as I login to Paycor is extremely helpful when rushing into work. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I dislike the process of submitting PTO. I have submitted PTO under the incorrect "form" (ex: Float, PTO, FMLA) of PTO multiple times which has resulted in having to cancel my submission and resubmit which has result in my timecard not being approved on time. They seem to do the system maintenance and improvements right when we are processing payroll. With any new update, there are always going to be bugs to work out, but those bugs always seem to happen at the worst times. Not completely their fault of course, but somehow the timing is not always ideal. Also, the tax team and EDI team are hidden away and can never reach out and email or speak to the customers. I realize tax notice resolution can take a very long time, usually because of the tax agency and not Paycor's tax team. However, if they could just follow up more via email with the status, even just weekly to let me know that there is no movement yet from the tax agency, that would be lovely and would really put customers' minds at ease that they are not being ignored or forgotten. I like Paycor because it solves the problem of having payroll and HR information in different places. I no longer need to contact HR for my pay stubs, W-2s, or PTO balance; I can access all my pay history, tax documents, and time records in one app. I love how user-friendly and organized the interface is—it’s very clean and easy to navigate, whether on desktop or mobile. The organized interface makes it so valuable because I can complete tasks in just a few clicks. The initial setup was very easy; I received an invite email, created my login in a few minutes, and was able to access all my information right away. The layout was intuitive, so I didn’t need any special training to get started. I also appreciate how our payroll data from Paycor connects with our accounting process and how easy it is to use alongside tools like Microsoft Outlook for collaboration. Sometimes the app can be a little slow to load, especially during peak payroll days. Also, I occasionally have to log in again even though I checked 'remember me.' I really enjoy the capabilities it has to be able to automate some of the mind-numbing and repetitive tasks like calculations, payroll, taxes, deductions, time off plans, timecard approvals, gps location, integrations with other 3rd party softwares like employee navigator or empower 401k, eliminating me to have manually enter in data and its exactly how the employee elects it, etc. Onboarding and workflows make things easier to manage and keep tasks notified until completed. Compensation Management feature (even though old one sunsetted and we were forced to have to pay for the feature in order to continue use of it) makes bonuses and commissions alot easier to input into payroll and have managers approve the monthly commission/bonuses to be paid. The constant changing of features and then sunsetting them with a forceful hand for you to have to purchase yet another feature in order to use the upgraded version of the feature. Also, do not care for how after they were bought by Paychex that now everything that is improved comes at a cost or an added feature fee per employee regardless if it used by all and regardless if it affects the business's current processes. The mobile app feature is one of our biggest complaints, if they could get the kinks worked out on that feature as a major priority, many would love this HRIS system a lot more. Technology is the way of the world now, so improving the app due to how convenient it is to use to clock in and look at your paystub etc. would boost the productivity behind it, and that is the employee themself. One thing I absolutely and my managers as well is the performance management feature, it absolutely terrible. Performance management/reviews is not a one size fits all for all organizations across the world so they need to do better about allowing more customization to it. I find that one area that could be improved is the overall user experience and navigation. Some features can take time to find or understand, especially for new users. The reporting and customization options could also be more intuitive, with simpler workflows and clearer guidance. I don't like changing bank information for direct deposits. It is quite difficult to divide the deposits up and if you change to a new one completely, the other has to be removed first before a new one can be added. I also don't like how my employer then has to email me to verify the changes. A lot of steps are involved. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

I like how Paycor keeps everything in one place, making it easier to manage employee information, payroll details, attendance, and time-off requests without needing multiple files or systems. For me, the main issue is that some features aren’t very easy to find at first. I sometimes have to click through a few different pages to get where I need to go. A few sections can also be a little slow to load. It’s nothing that stops me from using Paycor, but a simpler layout and faster navigation would make it better. I have had problems logging in to Paycor as it's inconsistent. Sometimes it does not accept the login, whether I'm using biometrics or a password. Also, I receive notifications about changes to my schedule, but I can't see what the actual changes are. I need to remember my previous schedule to identify any changes.
