What do you like best about Optimizely Commerce Connect?

Optimizely Commerce Cloud is a robust eCommerce tool, offering almost all of the features I need to accomplish our goals Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optimizely Commerce Connect?

While the tool is configurable, it's a challenge to get my own team certified to support it without the constant reliance on an implementer. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

Recommendations to others considering Optimizely Commerce Connect:

The support team at Optimizely is good to work with, but it has been a challenge to have the InsiteCommerce tool be purchased by Episerver, then shortly thereafter, purchased by Optimizely. Stability would be nice. As is, I had learned where the information I needed was on their support sites, then they get merged into another company's sites, the information you have access to changes, etc. It's also made it challenging to get my team trained because the content seems to continuously change and they do not provide a practice/test environment for those going through the certification process, though they do expect you to pay a retest fee should the developer fail the test. I've never experienced that with other certifications. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Optimizely Commerce Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?

We have greatly reduced the number of developers needed to support our eCommerce platform due to the ability to utilize most of the out-of-the-box features. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

The redundancies between user account management in Commerce Cloud and the newer admin panel have caused some confusion and complexity Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What problems is Optimizely Commerce Connect solving and how is that benefiting you?

Multi-site needs with separate catalogs but the ability to cart products across catalogs, and to efficiently add additional brands as needed. Optimizely has been a great platform for the complexity of this need as well as extendability and efficiency in spinning up additional sites with their own catalogs. What do you like best about Optimizely Commerce Connect?

Optimizely Commerce Cloud makes it extremely easy to segment our B2C customers and deliver personalized customer experiences. We have multiple purchase funnels that we are trying to optimize. In the past, we've attempted to implement our own segmentation and personalization. But now, with Optimizely Commerce Cloud, we can accomplish this much more efficiently. I'm particularly impressed with the level of developer support. Our purchase flows are very JavaScript-heavy. With Commerce Cloud, we can easily integrate powerful segmentation tools into these JavaScript-heavy environments. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.

What do you dislike about Optimizely Commerce Connect?

The AI-powered results are not as transparent as I'd like them to be. The AI tools offer unique insights, but it can be challenging to understand exactly how these insights were derived. Ultimately, this is a minor issue. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
