What do you dislike about NetSuite?
Lack of Accountability & Misleading Practices
A major red flag we overlooked early on was their refusal to allow meeting recordings, claiming they wanted to "protect proprietary functionality." This excuse falls flat—numerous public demos exist online. The real reason? Avoiding accountability for unmet promises. Without recorded proof of commitments, we had no recourse when deliverables fell short.
Failed Implementation & Broken Commitments
Fixed-Cost Implementation Scam: They charged upfront but delivered only half the solution, leaving us with broken workflows and no support.
Held Hostage for Basic Deliverables: To complete the original Scope of Work, they now demand payment for their "Advanced Customer Service" team (Philippines-based at $300/hour).
System & Performance Issues
Unreliable Platform: Frequent outages, sluggish browser-based performance.
Inexperienced Implementation Team: Even NetSuite’s on-shore team lacked product knowledge. Many offshore contractors had language barriers, yet we were billed premium rates.
NetSuite WMS – A Mislabeled Disaster
Not a True WMS: Missing basic functionality (e.g., real-time inventory tracking during picking/packing).
No Performance Metrics: Tracking picker/packer efficiency costs extra.
Zero Visibility: Once an item is picked, you cannot locate it (e.g., on a cart, in a tote) until shipping completes—a fundamental WMS failure.
Ship Central – A Broken Shipping Module
Inventory Discrepancies: Failed to deduct stock during shipping, leaving items stuck "in limbo."
Clunky, Error-Prone Interface:
Deviating from the workflow requires 10+ admin steps to undo.
Manual printer selection for every single shipment.
Slow Processing: 30-60 seconds "thinking" time per label, plus another 30-60 seconds to print.
Reprinting Labels is a Nightmare: No intuitive reprint option—forces digging through logs, which is impractical in paperless environments.
Final Warning
Do NOT invest in NetSuite WMS or Ship Central. Their products are incomplete, inefficient, and poorly designed—costing more in fixes and lost productivity than their value. Review collected by and hosted on G2.com.
